We had a pleasant stay hotels was clean and comfortable good well equipped kitchen. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with sea views right above the pool. Safe were friendly. Hotel is situated above the old town and on a steep hill. But taxis are cheap enough and very easy to get. We would return in the future

This is such a lovely place to stay in Albufeira and I would definitely stay here again! The apartment is lovely and clean, with a very nice balcony and view, and very good internet connection. There is 24/7 reception in case you need help with anything.
The location is great, about 10 minutes walk to the old town centre and the beach. I will say that you have to take stairs to get there, so that might be difficult for people with mobility issues, which is not the fault of the property.

Affordable accommodation just outside the old city up on a hill. Staff is friendly. The rooms are very old and need renovation and the beds feel like camping beds. However the bathroom was redone, which was a nice touch. There is not much in the immediate area other than a Lidl, but if you want a decently priced place to stay away from the hustle and bustle, this might be it.

Beautiful location, very accommodating, walkable but like most of Portugal u will be going up/down steep hills, everything is within the 1-15 mins away by foot, we travelled with twins in a double stroller/pram and had no issues other then being tired from hills, beautful pool and lounge area with food/drinks being served. Staff was amazing. We will be retuning in the future

The property itself is absolutely stunning - the grounds are beautifully kept with lush greenery and clean pools that are in great condition. The main bedroom room was clean and comfortable, although the sofa bed was very uncomfortable and caused some back pain unfortunately! Our bathroom and kitchen were both great and equipped with everything we needed. Our balcony had a beautiful view and was lovely to sit and eat on. Overall, a lovely place but definitely would reccomend the property update their sofa beds- or customers book a room with bedrooms for each guest.

I stayed in a one bedroom apartment. Everything was very clean and tidy. The bathroom looked like it was quite new and there was a lovely big shower. The pool area was lovely and always kept clean and tidy.
The nearest shops/ restaurants were in the old town, which is about a 10 min walk, down a lot of steps. I didn't find this a problem as the property is good value for money.

The one major issue that was never resolved was the lack of working wifi in the lower block where we were. It did not work for the 3 nights / 4 days that we were there. The staff did not seem to know how to resolve the issues indicating it was a different provider for the lower block and theirs was working at the reception. It was still not working when we left. We were relying on the wifi at our accommodations and this was a major issue for us.

I booked a studio apartment for 3 people. Its really only suitable for 2 adults and a toddler as the sofa bed was very small which wasn't obvious when booking. It also had no air conditioning so was very warm. Reception staff were very helpful and I upgraded to a 2 bed apartment which was huge. This was in a quieter part of the hotel and we mostly had the 2nd pool to ourselves.
The hotel is around a 10 minute walk to the old town and beach and 5 minute walk to Aldi. We didn't mind the steps to the old town but would not be easy for those with limited mobility.
Overall a really good stay for a decent price.

Overall stay was quite good - very nice property, although the primary complaint is that it was very hard to find from reception. The staff made it seem like it was right around the corner when in fact, it was almost a 360 degrees - all the way around. Also, they said parking was easy on the premise - when we finally found the gate, which was wide open in any case, just a few cars in the small area, however, had we parked there, we would have been entirely blocked in by other guests given the small area. However, we were able to park on the street without issue, the apartment was very large - only a small bar of soap (no shampoo), but otherwise very comfortable and 10 mins walk into the main area of nightlife, though far enough to be quite quiet and relaxing.

This was our 4th stay at these apt’s a few extras done to the rooms, hairdryers in bathrooms. Newly decorated. A lovely welcome by reception staff and poolside barman is lovely nothing is too much trouble for him. Speaks good English. An asset to this company. Kitchen is fully equipped with full oven. Central for everything, Aldi and Lidl 5 minutes walk away. Old town square 5 minutes down the steps. Great location. Fantastic views. Keep up the good work malpique. See you all next year.

No-frills, basic accommodation. Large rooms, clean but dated decor, bedding & furniture. Needs some sort of temperature control in room - no heating or cooling! Very noisy, every sound echoed down the corridors. Asked reception to extend stay - was refused stating hotel was fully booked but rooms still available for that night when checked on several online booking sites. No facilities for left luggage when leaving late - cases left in small reception. Not a place for those with mobility issues - many steep slopes & steps! All-in-all, the Cerro Malpique was adequate for our stay but certainly nothing outstanding compared to other Alfagar properties stayed in previously.

Spacious room but certainly not luxury
We had a two bedroom suite with kitchen and balcony. The suite was spacious. However, the air flow was quite poor which caused mould on the shower walls and our bedsheets/ beds were constantly damp. In fact, our dry clothes became damp from overnight storage in the bedrooms. When we first arrived, the bathroom garbage can was still full from the previous tenant. Additionally, room service only comes every other day. The gentleman at the front desk was nice to deal with and the location wasn't bad. However, we wouldn't book here again.

Was a great little find for me , my friends stayed up the road and paid £400 more than my long weekend trip. The only downside is the steep walk home which is up some steps . But it is only a five minute walk from the old town square. Not suitable if your a oap but if you’re fit and under sixty a very good, cheap, quiet , place to stay in albafeira . Will definitely use again.
