On our booking the hotel stayed, on the beach hotel, double room. Showed all pictures and views from the hotel and the lounges on the beach from the front of the hotel. When we arrived it was a different hotel and the photographs was from the hotel across the road.

I was booked in for the hotel which was close to the beach. But apparently they had two hotels which i booked was a bit far away from the beach so i had to pay extra for the one close to beach which was a superior room. The bed was two single beds attached for a superior room. But the staff told me that he will get it sorted the next day. But they didn’t. So basically as couple we had sleep in different cots. Also the air conditioning was the worse. It was very warm in the room even after bringing the air conditioning to low and the sound from the fan was horrible. I couldn’t get a proper sleep. The breakfast, the view and the soundproofed rooms were fantastic.

Lovely superior room overlooking the beach in the Praia hotel (note that there are 2 different buildings, so the cheaper rooms are not on in the beachside building). Fell asleep listening to the waves each night. Be aware that the bathroom ‘wall’ is a half-frosted glass pane (though the toilet is separated). Not an issue if you’re close to the person you’re sharing the room with! Breakfast was good but not great. Worth including at the discounted rate but definitely not worth the €22 on the day! Overall, the rooms are great value for money, and we would stay here again, but only in the superior rooms in the ‘Praia’ hotel.

Very friendly staffs, especially at the bar. I went right before 10pm when the kitchen was closed that night. The bartender offered a sandwich and it was great!

Everything was great at the property but the noise level was unavoidable. There's no sound proof and you can hear from the hall way, next door and from upper room.

The hotel was very good value overall. It was clean throughout and although basic everything worked fine. Breakfast was above average and the lounge bar was cheaper than bars nearby.

My main gripe is the description; with the photographs being misleading. There are two buildings in the complex each with their own reception (although the staff alternate between the two sites). We went to the building on the beach as this is shown on the booking site, however they told us we were in the other building a few minutes walk away. No dramas but it isn't what we thought we had booked.

Huge cockroach and droppings in the shower, front desk sent a custodian to kill it but didn’t offer a change of room or cleaning of shower. Very different experience than when I was there 2 years ago. Building and rooms are old and dingy, mold in bathrooms, etc. But they offer a nice buffet breakfast.

Make sure you book the right hotel, it was advertised as on the beach but when we arrived, to the hotel on the beach unknown to me and my daughter, the staff at the reception told us it’s not that hotel but there sister hotel up on the hill about a minute walking distance. That’s when our nightmare began. The room was like a dungeon, it had an awful smell and we found silver fish crawling around the bathroom floor. We asked to be moved and was told no rooms were available in the beach one but would be moved to the same type of room on the 1st floor. Same disgusting smell. The male staff was so rude huffing and puffing when i told him this was unacceptable and false advertisement. I asked for a manager and was told I’d have to wait until tomorrow to possibly move hotels. I looked online and saw that they had 3 rooms available after being told no availability as they didn’t want to upgrade me to a sea view room. I ended up paying to upgrade as it was disgusting having to spend one night let alone 3. It was a much better room but the hassle and false advertising they agreed with in the end is not exceptable.

Fine for some under the right circumstances.

Here’s my experience to help you decide.

1) staff are friendly but front desk is severely understaffed, systems are archaic, check-in’s take forever, and thus waiting your turn for something as quick as - can I have a beach towel, or where is the nearest store will cost you 15-20 mins.

2) upon arrival my room wasn’t ready (OK), I changed in the bathroom, asked for info about the property such as where is the pool, the beach, normal questions. This was a burden to the staff. I stroll to the pool (need a key card) only to find that towels are back in the lobby! Refusing to walk back just yet, I walk to the beach, but then wanting to layout, I walk back to the lobby for a towel. It was only then I learn you need to leave €20 for a towel, in cash. I don’t have cash, my fault, they direct me to an atm 5 min away but the fees are exorbitant. Would have been nice if they pointed me to the Santander which is reasonable. The absence of an intro to the property & basic info would have saved me 20,000 steps. Lots of basic hotel incompetence.

3) Breakfast was a decent spread, no complaints, had all the staples you would expect if you are from a western country (eggs in several way, bacon, fruits, cheeses, yogurt and toppings etc)

4) had the buffet dinner night before my flight & steak was tough, no wine by glass, mash and sting beans not fresh/from scratch. Great desserts though!

5) my room was super spacious, fridge hardly worked, toiletries cheap & so much unfriendly plastic.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It may seem a bit dated, but very clean, and the breakfast were full of varieties.
We also like the proximity to the beach and The Old Town.

Staying at this hotel had versions of \"The good, the bad & the ugly\"!
The good being the location snd breakfast.
The bad was that it took over an hour to be checked in by 1 receptionist- it was check in time so should of had more staff on.
The ugly being there was an major issues with flies (coming from outside , have no problem with nature) but the issue was it took 2 days for them to sweep up the piles of dead flies that were all over reception.

Overall, it’s a nice place for the price. It’s a little less modern than other hotels but again, it’s pretty good for the price.

It’s nice because it’s close to the beach and there’s a variety of breakfast options.

However, it’s a little far from everything. There are a few restaurants nearby. But if you want to get around more, I suggest to rent a car as there are many places to visit in the Algarve.

I don’t give 5 star reviews ever but I willl make an exception for INATEL. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The service is excellent. The rooms are impeccable and mopped everyday! Love the glassed in shower arrangement. I had a seaview and left the balcony door open most of the time to hear the sound of the surf. The view from the balcony was mezmerizing. The beachfront is gorgeous and steps from the door. Breakfast is hearty and all you can eat. Great coffee.The location is quiet and away from the party scene in the old town but 15 minute walk away of you hanker. Parking is free. For bird lovers there is a colony of swallows who have built nests just above the second floor above balcony level and can be observed swooping around and entering thier mud nests. I spent many hours watching these cool birds. It just goes to show that even a three star hotel can deliver a five star experience!

Perfect location to be just outside of Old Town

We had a sea view room and it was lovely the view was the highlight, the room was comfortable enough what you’d expect for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold bits plenty of everything to go around. It seemed more locals stay in this hotel as we didn’t encounter any other English tourists. It’s a short walk from the escalators going down to the old town strip so you’re just outside of all the partying. Staff were helpful we had to checkout at 2.30am for our flight and they provided us breakfast to take with us.
The only suprise was the pool is actually across the road from the hotel, we didn’t even visit it as it was chilly and it’s not a heated pool. We weren’t informed about it and had to ask but likely as it was only 18-20 degrees during our stay!

Arrived to a room which balcony wouldn't lock waited over an hour with very little care and was given another room with the same issue and it smelt really bad. Third room all was ok but we were 2hrs later wanting dinner. Came back and asked for a bottle opener and was told no its at the other hotel i siad the least you can do is send someone up to us with a bottle opener. Person arrived with bottle opener and refused to open our 3 bottles of wine, he opened 2 and went. We bought one the next day.
Breakfast at the beach hotel was awful very poor selection and not much of anything staff also rude to us.
We went to main hotel for breakfast after 3 days of no improvement.
We were apoken to awfully when we asked for a towel as our shower leaked and told no along with a lot of shouting in foreign.
Thia is my 3rd time here and by far the worst like staff didn't want english/iriah there. Reception desk had a flyer to welcome you on laws and fines for touriats being drunk, loud etc yet we were kept up by 50+ locals staying at the hotel until 12pm shouting and cheering.
