Super location for all the fabulous beaches and there’s everything you need close by like a supermarket and a small but very good choice of bars and eating places.

Room was small but really modern and very clean with comfy bed and a sea view which was worth the little extra cost. All the staff were also very friendly and helpful.

If you want to head out of the little town itself you would need a bike hire or car as its a bit remote and taxis are hard to come by and expensive - but we ended up just walking up and down the miles of beaches.

We were a bit concerned about it being above 3 bars but don't be, they aren't rowdy places and sound proofing is excellent - actually we ended up liking the buzz of people chatting in the restaurants whilst sat on the balcony.

Ok for a nights rest

Booked here last minute as travelling to Spain.
Ok for a nights rest but wouldn’t like to stay here any longer. Nothing here apart from a quiet beach with jo sun beds.
Two restaurants, one being part of the hotel and nothing else to do or walk to.
Our room was on the terrace with a shared terrace area. Very dated annd tired and stagnant smelling but clean. Wouldn’t return I’m afraid

Brilliant beach holiday

My wife and I spent a very pleasant 7 nights in the hotel. Parking when we arrived was easy and Guillaume on reception was friendly and very helpful. We had not been able to book one of the six sea view rooms, which we would definitely do next time as our only criticism was that the decor in our room was bit tired and there were no coffee or tea making facilities in the room but the Wifi was very good in the room, throughout the hotel including the restaurant. The restaurant was great, the food really good and the service excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for Theo and Jessica who were eternally friendly and smiling. We went through the menu wile we were there and every meal was a delight. The hotel is really well placed for the beach which is about 50 metres. and the beach itself is well kept and safe as there are several security towers placed along it. The sea is shallow for quite a distance so it is perfect for families with young children. Beziers, Sete, Narbonne and Montpellier are all quite close by, although getting there in holiday traffic can be interesting. Overwhelmingly it was the staff who made it such a pleasant experience for us and we would unhesitatingly recommend this hotel to both couples and families. We will definitely be booking again for next year.

Pros: VERY close to the beach, great area,

Cons: The room stank of cigarrets smell. When I told the receptionist, he completely denied it and said it wasn’t so.

Rude receptionist.

Room extremely small and loud.

Windows were very dirty around frames when we opened them to let air in.

Breakfast was poor and expensive.

It gets VERY loud at night, there are restaurants playing music to the wee hours right down below the hotel. If you want peace and quiet or just want to rest beware of noise.

No parking.

No elevator.

Nice hotel right in front of a lovely beach. Excellent location. Helpful staff. Easy check in and out. We took our dog and had no issues with the hotel, although the Dog beach is a bit further away. We were told every day the car park was full but there is ample parking in front of the hotel so not a problem. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Simple, Clean Beach Hotel

Driving up to the beach parking lot and seeing our Hotel Mirador smiling down on us was a great introduction to Portiragnes. This is a family-oriented beach town, busy during the day and night. The hotel is friendly; just be sure to arrive after 5 p.m. when the hotel desk opens for a few hours. There was just one flight of stairs for our suitcases, and the room on the back of the hotel was air-conditioned--very necessary in July in humid, hot southern France. There was even a bullfight in town. Recommend that you get breakfast elsewhere--not a good value at 10 euros each.

Nice hotel - rooms are a bit small, so think it's well worth spending a bit extra on a sea view room which gives you a private balcony. Good facilities (fridge, safe, sun loungers & umbrellas on the balcony).

Ideal beach location

Very comfortable, clean and friendly hotel, really couldn't fault it. Our room had a sea view and balcony complete with sun loungers and table and chairs. The beach is wonderful and there are lots of interesting places including the Canal du Midi nearby.
There is free parking in front of the hotel, but you cannot park there on market days, so would have to park a little further away on those days.

On the beach

This has a very nice beach, which beach is not as crowded as other places. The people who operate this hotel are quite gracious and helpful. There are several restaurants within walking distance and a small bookstore for the daily news and light reading, even books about the area. Portiragnes is not on the Michelin map for the south of France, but the map in hotels.com is useful in guiding a newcomer to it. At the last traffic circle (roundabout), the hotel is the second exit, which is plage est (east beach).

Great Beach Hotel - Private Balconies

This hotel made going to the beach a pleasure. An unexpected plus was a small, private, first floor balcony accessible from the room. The balcony had a table, 2 chairs, 2 lounging recliner chairs and a large umbrella to provide shade. The only negative would be for people with mobility concerns. The threshold to the balcony is a minor tripping hazard. Rooms are air conditioned. Ask for an ocean view. Several establishments immediately adjacent to the hotel provide cold beverages - welcome after a day in the sun.

Right on the beach

The location of this hotel is great, right on the beach. We went off season though so did not see it at its best. Off season the hotel reception is only open at certain hours. We arrived at 3pm and had to go away and come back at 5pm. We decided to opt for the hotel breakfast which was VERY poor. We were offered just dry bread, yogurt, egg and coffee until we complained at which point a very grumpy waitress provided some croissant, meats and cheese.

Grei hotel om du planlegger bare å sove over og dra videre. Veldig små rom og liten bad. Ok standard. Det var en felles terrasse rett utenfor vinduet som alle beboere kunne bruke, men for oss ble det et minus. Vi kunne ikke holde vinduet åpen verken på dag eller natt på grunn av innsyn. Ellers fint plassert ved sandstranda med noen spisesteder rund.

Das Hotel ist super gelegen. Alles in nächster Nähe. Restaurants, Strand, Autobahnanschluss, Natur und Naherholungsgebiet ist alles vorhanden. Der Strand und das Wasser waren ein Traum.
Vom Hotel wird man freundlich empfangen und beraten. Es ist sehr sauber und es wird täglich gereinigt. Ich würde das Hotel gerne wieder buchen.

Hôtel bien situé par rapport à la plage. La chambre est petite avec un confort minimum. Salle de bain très petite et basique. Il y avait une odeur d'égout très désagréable dans la chambre. Je l'ai signalé à la réception qui m'a dit simplement que c'est normal et que c'est dû au vent qui siphonne les canalisations et qu'il n'y avait rien à faire. On avait beau faire couler de l'eau, l'odeur avait persisté toute la nuit. Pour moi l'hôtel ne mérite absolument pas la note qui lui est attribuée.

Bon pour un Rendez-vous we sans les enfants

Je retrouvais mon épouse dans cet établissement, nos enfants étant chez ma Belle Mère. Petit diner sur Valras puis nuit paisible sur le Mirador. Situation géographique remarquable en front de mer, dommage que notre chambre ait été sur l'arrière du bâtiment mais à ce prix rien à redire, literie rudimentaire mais bien entretenue, salle de bain toute petite mais pour une we acceptable, déjeuner correct.
