I stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Sol Plays after the Valencia marathon in December. The hotel was good value and had a great location, right by the beach. It felt a bit quiet being out of season. The hotel itself was fine and functional. Bed was a bit hard for my liking. Shower was nice and powerful. Staff were helpful and friendly. I wouldn't have wanted to spend lots of time at the hotel, but it was perfectly fine as a base when I was spending most of my time out and about in Valencia.

Stayed here for a week for the MotoGP race in Valencia. Wasn't expecting much from a 2 star hotel but was very pleasantly surprised. Staff are very friendly and speak Spanish and English so no worries there. The room was basic but clean and tidy with a small balcony a good bathroom, Smart TV and free Wifi. The maids that cleaned the room would even return later in the day if you put the do not disturb sign up to have a decent lay in. All in all a pleasent little hotel right on the beach with loads of great restaurants next door. For the price can't complain.

Location is amazing - the beach is right there and so many restos/pubs to choose from. Bathroom had recently been remodelled and very, very clean. Room otherwise was modest/basic but was all I needed. Super hot and air conditioning was nice and cool. Would love to see at least one English selection on TV (BBC? Al Jeezerah?) No view and I had to keep drapes closed as (very close) view of some neighbouring rooms.

The property in itself was very good, location right next to the beach and lots of restaurants. Staff kind enough and room was cleaned everyday. Only critic was theres a beach night club close by, if you have room close to or sea view you can hear the loud beats of the music/pyro which was annoying as couldnt get any sleep and lasted till about 3 to 4am everyday. Maybe an upgrade of the windows to more noise cancelling ones would be bettee.

Although I can say the hotel was price of the value, the room was smaller than I expected. There is one bed and it covers the whole area with not so much space to move around.The bathroom was also too small. And an unexpected thing happened that when I tried to open my room door, left side of the door frame completely come away which made my night less secure because it made the door so weak to open with no effort. The hotel has street parking but it could be a problem to find a free spot especially in high seasons. There is a paid parking just next to the hotel though.

This is a very basic little hotel on the beach with SUPER staff and an excellent breakfast. It was quiet and we slept well there. We almost missed breakfast, arriving at the dining area 5 minutes before it ended but they were nice enough to keep it open for us. Just really great people.

Overall good stay for the price. The only issue was parking: there was plenty in front of the hotel, but suspicious-looking people were there all the time. So we chose to park underground nearby. We paid 70 euros for 5-day pass.

I would give it 0 if that’s possible. The hotel is next to a club that has music blasting all night till 4am. Spoke to the reception and they said it’s an on-going issue so clearly they know about this and it happens often but still sell their rooms. We didn’t get any sleep as the music was pounding through the windows. We asked for a refund and checked out the next day. For anyone looking to book the place, save yourself some trouble and look somewhere else, the sea view is not worth the sleepless nights.

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions, but left very disappointed this time. Our tv was not working, and we spoke to three different members of staff about this. The young Chinese man did attempt to help and came up stairs, but with now joy, the other three times they said they would send someone up but never did. Although it is not major to have a to but the fact we asked three times and it was not looked at was very disappointing. The hotel is good value and we have enjoyed our previous stayes over the years and recommend it to friends who have booked it up, but I would think twice about booking this hotel again

Bij aankomst niet echt een warm welkom door de man bij de balie. Hielp ons daarna wel meteen toen we de airco niet aankregen. Hotelkamer prima, douche en badkamer ook prima. Kamer met zeezicht, maar zonder balkon, en de gordijnen moeten dichtblijven voor de airco, dus aan zeezicht heb je niet veel. Locatie is top, vanwege het strand, maar savonds/snachts moet je tegen geluid kunnen van buiten. Gehorig. Ontbijt niet bijzonder. Elke dag hetzelfde. De yoghurtjes liggen niet gekoeld, waardoor het lauw eten is. Brood was een keer beschimmeld. Vers fruit was wel lekker en de koffie ook. 9 euro best prijzig voor wat je krijgt.

Not big rooms but sufficient if you’re not staying in the room. The balcony is lovely! Great view of the beach and promenade. We ate out on it a couple times. This hotel is front and central for summer, at a main Valencian beach. You could hear the club music all night. There was a huge crowd everyday it was sunny. So keep that in mind with the noise level in the room for sleeping. It is right beside the beach. So super convenient to restaurants and the Sea!

Súper clean hotel, especially considering how fine the sand is and how it gets everywhere! There is a one person elevator or stairs. Comfortable beds. Not big rooms but sufficient if you’re not staying in the room. We had four people, 3 large suitcases and 3 carry on size. There was NO extra room. The balcony is lovely! Great view of the beach and promenade. We ate out on it a couple times. This hotel is front and central for summer at a main Valencian beach. You could hear the club music all night. They messed up my reservation and I had difficulties getting a receipt for reimbursement. The room is very small and I dont think any of the rooms have a balcony. Misleading photos. I didnt have any space to open my luggage.

Perfect beach location!

I loved the balcony, the firm bed, and the proximity to the beach and many restaurants. The hotel is very clean and the staff is excellent. I missed not having coffee service in the room and found that there were no true sound barriers, so I had to wear earplugs at night. Those issues aside, I was happy with the stay.

Gem of a hotel in a great location

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights, the room was compact but clean and did the job for us. We loved the location, we had a room overlooking the beach and the variety of restaurants in the strip just below was fantastic. There were always staff at reception if anything was needed and I would have no hesitation staying again.

Lovely staff and good location, but confused stay

Arrived late due a delayed flight and we’re told we would have to move rooms between nights 2 and 3 of our 3 night stay, but staff were polite. Very thin pillows provided, but extras were given immediately when requested. Walked in one lunchtime to find room was being worked on to replace aircon unit, but were provided with another room to change in as we had returned from the beach

This is a small hotel very near the beach. I was a bit worried by reviews saying it was noisy, but I think this depends where your room is. Mine was over the entrance to the hotel so it was fine, I guess if you're the other side you get the sea view but also the noise from the restaurants below. It's a 5 minute walk to a tram stop that will get you in to the city (with one change), and a 10 minute walk to a food shop (the block the hotel is in consists of hotels, restaurants and a couple of gift shops only).
Breakfast is simple but not bad - bread, pastries, cheese, meat, fruit and yoghurt. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The views were beautiful, the staff was friendly and the breakfast offering was lovely. The beach access and restaurant offerings nearby was wonderful. The noise was a bit of an issue as the walls are thin and the doors shut quite loudly. During my stay (mid March) there was the kickoff to the Falla and there were fireworks going on the beach until 1am (which was kind of cool to watch) but then someone started again at between 7 and 8am throwing loud fireworks out in front of the hotel and it sounded like a war zone. I don’t think that is typical but wanted to mention.

Great hotel in a super area right on the beach. Tram and bus stops very close to hotel allowing us easy access to city centre sights and City of Arts.
Restaurants right under hotel giving us lots of places to eat at night.
Sea view from my room 206 was fabulous, really enjoyed waking to the sea, sand and palm trees.

We enjoyed our stay though as the dining options nearby were excellent, public transportation is very close and the beach is just breathtaking.

Good city beach destination

Excellent location right by beach. Easy to get no 32 bus into city (30 mins and cheap). Basic room, clean with good air con and shower. There is a strip of restaurants but no local shops, takeaways or street food to browse around. So not like a beach resort town. There is a lot of rubbish around. Street cleaners were seen but not keeping up with the rubbish visitors are leaving everywhere.

I liked the positioning of the hotel, the view of the beach from the room, the fact that the towels change daily and the bedding every 3 days.The value for money is very good, especially if you book in advance.

I didn't like that there is dust on the furniture and on the floor, the walls are dirty, there is no net on the windows and there are mosquitoes, there is no minibar in the room. On departure we were charged for breakfast (desanyo) although I did not - I am waiting to get my money back.

Un mic fridgider in camera ar fi fost un plus binevenit.
Pentru modelul de perna (numaita anaconda de sotul meu) mi-ar placea sa va pot inscrie in cartea recordurilor pentru cea mai lunga perna vazuta vreodata, este un model 2 in 1 - poti pune capul si cu restul te poti inveli :)

The hotel is in an amazing location on the beach. Although a two star it should be higher to a three stay. The rooms were kept very clean, the air conditioning was quiet and very effective. No English Channel on tv which was a shame not even bbc news 24. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was given to us by a lovely lady. Staff very helpful with printing travel forms for return to uk

The customer service was good but the room had some issues. The mattress wasn’t comfortable, the room’s floor, even after the housekeeping, was full of sand. There was no shower shelf and we had to leave the soap and shampoo on the floor.

Suggestion: It would be nice if there was a small fridge inside the hotel room.

A very nice hotel beautifully located on the beachfront, walking distance from the harbour, Marina buses run closeby too. Facilities were good - would be nice if a fridge and kettle was provided in the rooms to add to the atmosphere. WiFi was good on the whole and breakfast had good variety.

Decent cheap hotel with great sea view. The room was spacious, bed extra big and memory foam mattress very comfortable. Nice newly renovated bathroom.
The only drawback for me was noise. If someone in the building closed the door or talked in the corridor you could hear also when the neighbours were having shower it was very laud. If you are a light sleeper definitely bring ear plugs!

Great Hotel

Situated next to the La Malva-Rosa beach, this very friendly hotel next to bars and restaurants including the famous La Pepica paella restaurant. Quick and cheap transport using trams, Metro and buses allows you to quickly go to anywhere in Valencia. I recommend reading \"A Death In Valencia\" which is set in the area adjacent to the hotel to give an interesting insight into the area. The hotel is 10 minutes walk to the Mariana. I will be returning to this hotel.
