By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Neither Expedia nor the hotel disclosed at booking, or prior to arrival, that the hotel was undergoing extensive renovation. This constitutes a booking taken in bad faith, as the hotel clearly knew and Expedia should reasonably have known the property was not operating normally.

The impact included:
•Central heating failure for the entire stay (January). A portable heater was inadequate. Extra bedding was repeatedly requested but never supplied.
•Intermittent loss of hot water.
•A bathroom and shower that failed to drain, causing water to overflow.
•Renovation noise continuing late into the night.
•Floor varnishing causing strong acetone fumes and severe headaches.
•Breakfast and reception relocated to another hotel without notice.
•Rooms poorly cleaned and inadequately maintained.
•No heating in communal areas.

The hotel was aware that one guest was disabled and still failed to disclose these conditions. The lack of heating and need to walk to another hotel for services had a direct adverse impact on my mother.

This trip was intended as a family celebration but was undermined by the hotel conditions.

Expedia were informed during the stay but were unable to resolve the issues, despite a request to move us to alternative accommodation within the same hotel chain.

Taken together, these issues raise serious concerns about both the hotel’s and Expedia’s approach to health, safety, accessibility, and duty of care.

By way the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Neither Expedia nor the hotel told us that the hotel was going through extensive renovation at the time of booking or at anytime before arrival.

The impact of this:

- varnishing of floor resulted in strong asertone smell in rooms and severe headaches
- breakfast and reception moved to another hotel without notice
- rooms were not clean
- rooms not maintained well
- no heating in communal areas

I should also say that the hotel was aware that one guest was disabled and still chose not to disclose the above. The lack of heating and have to walk to the other hotels for breakfast and reception services adversely impacted my mother.

This was supposed to be a trip was supposed to be a family celebration but it ended up being tarnished by the conditions of the hotel.

It should be noted that Expedia were informed and were unable to resolve these issues during our stay, despite a request to move us to another, more suitable accommodation in the same hotel chain of this hotel.

The above represents serious concerns in relation to both the hotel and Expedia’s attitude to health and safety and disability of their customers.

We were not told in advance of renovation works being carried out at the hotel (which we were not informed about at booking or at any point until we arrived at the hotel). This impacted us as following:
- no central heating in rooms; there was only a small heater so couldn’t sleep due to cold
- no hot water for part of our stay
- we had to have breakfast in another hotel a walk away. I am disabled and this caused me a lot of pain. No alternatives were offered.
- maintenance work washing carried out so reception as moved to another hotel
- varnishing of floors was being carried out. The smell was strong (like acetone) into our rooms causing us headaches.

We asked to be moved hotels. Expedia and hotel ignored concerns during are stay and still no compensation after.

This hotel is truly awful as is Expedia’s lack of action with these not just comfort but also health and safety and disability concerns.

All was good. Breakfast very good. Staff was fine. The problem is the housekeeping team that leaves the room of the guest that comes for a longer period like me, for last and i found myself waiting at the reception for hours to get onto the room and relax after lunch. In spite of numerous requests to clean my room early!

It is a gem in Tel Aviv across Dissengoff square It used to be the Esther Cinema then transformed into a hotel. It is set up as a museum of cinema and the top of the hotel there is an incredible view of Tel Aviv. At early evening they have a happy hour. The breakfast also is very good. The rooms a little small, however all the other amenities are excellent,

The best feature of the Cinema Hotel was its location, right in the heart of the best outdoor cafes, restaurants and boutiques. Dizengoff Square is definitely where it is happening. The room was small but clean and equipped with all the basic amenities, plus a small balcony that overlooked the square.

Avoid by all means

The rooms are super small already priced for what you’re getting and very outdated. The shower was peeling the ceiling was very low. You could touch your head at the top on a very average height. Between the bed and the desk there’s no space to move so it’s impossible to sit and work. I had a water bottle half used on my table the cleaning was average overall it was average no chance on coming back.
The receptionist in the evening was lovely and the lady in the morning was marvellous apart from that I wouldn’t go

The Cinema Hotel was a great find! Initially booked in for 1 night, we liked it so much we came back for another 4! Location couldn’t be better - walkable to the beach, shopping eating places and public transport is cheap and frequent. The staff are extremely helpful particularly Tamara on the front desk. They all go out of their way to add value to your stay. Happy Hour on the roof was an extra surprise and for history/ film buffs the building and exhibits are a joy! We will be back! Thank you

Nice hotel in the center of Tel Aviv

Centrally located, clean rooms and a friendly staff. The furniture feels a bit dated, but the hotel and rooms are very clean. The staff are super friendly and always ready to help. Don't miss the rooftop area for great views and relaxation. Acoustic insulation is not very good and the curtains could be thicker to block out more light in the mornings.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

We stayed there for almost three weeks.longer than expected due to the Hamas attack and outbreak of war on 7th October 2023. The staff and service were amazing, helpful, friendly and calm in a crisis. The location on Dizengoff Circle is brilliant. We will be staying there again.

Great hotel in a perfect location in Tel Aviv

Hotel cinema is in a great position in Tel Aviv. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Cold drinks and popcorn freely available which we loved. Room was perfect. Loved all the memorabilia in the hallways. Free welcome drinks and snacks served on the roof terrace also a lovely touch.

The hotel advertises free parking. It has NO PARKING.
There is an offsite paid parking not too far, but definitely “free parking “ is very misleading.
The hotel itself is nice and I would have given it a higher rating had I not been misled

This is a boutique hotel in the heart of Dizengoff and it was very charming and pleasant stay. The breakfast was very good, the rooms was small, but adequate enough to fit two people and it was clean. The bathroom had a strong shower and nice bath products. I would stay here again.

Great location, but very tired state

Amazing location, but the property is quite tired. Sticky / stained carpets, very minimal amenities, nothing is replenished / restocked even during a 10 night stay. Bedding is very cheap synthetic material and furniture us very tired / unsuitable for long-term work (Ex: they use a foldable chair, not an office chair for the desk)

We arrive at the Cinema hotel for the weekend. the Happy hour on the roof was just great. great coffee and wine on the house with some cakes and snacks. The rooms aren't fancy but are OK. there was also free bicycles rent at the lobby.

If you want to be in the center of things, this is a great location. The staff is friendly, and I really enjoyed the breakfast and happy hour on the rooftop. The downsides are the small rooms and bathroom, and in our case a leaking air conditioner, but there is a nice balcony.

No hot water in the shower - completely unacceptable. And the hotel management is extremely cheap and stubborn and wouldn’t even offer any compensation. They suggested we go shower in their sister hotel across the street. Do not book here.

I was absolutely blown away with the attentiveness of all the staff in the Cinema Hotel. Not only were they always super friendly, they were also really knowledgeable about the area and helped us immensely with any questions we had.

The Cinema Hotel itself has fair sized rooms which are always lovely and clean.
Details which my Husband and I really appreciated was the cold, fresh lemonade that is kept in the lobby for guests to help themselves to and also the evening happy hours on the terrace... Between 6pm and 8pm the Hotel offers free drinks and snacks while on their terrace. I was so surprised how generous the snacks were... On more than one occasion my Husband and I used this as an opportunity to have dinner.

Another fantastic amenity the hotel offers is the free use of push bikes. My Husband and I used the bikes almost daily as it is such a great, easy way to get around Tel Aviv.

The location of the Hotel itself is perfect, right in the centre of the city with only a 10 minute walk to the beach. We were able to leisurely cycle to old Jaffa from our hotel in 25 minutes. There is also a large shopping center/mall 10 minutes away and Carmel market is about a 20 minute leisurely walk away too.

The real standout for us was of course the staff. They really are such lovely, sincere people who made our stay incredible.

Wonderful surprise...a gem!

Loved this hotel...big surprise! Very unique and decor is amazing!
Every part of our stay was wonderful. Staff extremely helpful and peasant. Breakfast beautifully presented and they accommodated a Gluten Free diet.
Location was great and the Bauhaus architecture was lovely, especially the hotel itself. Rooms were a bit small, but clean.Will definitely get back to this hotel when returning to Tel Aviv.

This hotel comes just as advertised - centrally-located, clean, comfortable, safe and it has a great vibe. The morning breakfasts are wonderful and the happy hours are really terrific. We stayed here for 7 nights and were very satisfied. Enjoyed the use of the free bikes too. Would highly recommend Cinema Hotel. :)

Very cute boutique hotel - great location and is a short walk to the beach. Does not have airport shuttle even though they advertise. Rooms are average sized but very clean however did have bathtub. Hotel hosts happy hour at 5:00 pm on their outdoor deck/ rooftop on which is a nice touch.

Done up in the style of the former cinema here - it could have been gimmicky but they've done it with pizzazz. Friendly helpful staff.

Medium-sized comfy room, facilities fine. Excellent breakfast: sometimes congested towards 09:30 as I understand an adjacent hotel also breakfasts here.

Hotel is very centrally located on Kikar Dizengoff, lots of nearby eating places, good bus service to city's scattered attractions. Note city buses are now cashless, ask desk how the system works.

Great Hotel very central , they provides bikes so it was easy to get around & see everything including the beach to have a paddle , it was a great ride down to the port of Jaffa experiencing all the history & sites .

When checking in to the hotel I was greeted by a hotel employee that was less than helpful. He went back & forth with me about the hotel bill, even though we were just checking in & he had my credit card. Once settled in our room, we were unable to use the shower the next morning because it completely clogged & the water came out yellow. A maintenance person came to check it out, & although he fixed the clog issue, our shower was left dirty & the water that came out of the faucet the rest of our time there was yellow. When I called for help, I was simply told to just \"keep the water running.\" I was late the first morning & resistant to use the shower the next few nights. The day I checked out, I was helped with my bags by two women at the desk who were great. However, when I returned later to pick up the bags, the same hotel employee who helped me initially refused to get them. He just unlocked the storage room door & instructed me to go down the hallway & retrieve my bags myself. It was a terrible customer experience, not what I would expect from any hotel. In addition, allowing a guest to go retrieve their bag from a storage room with other guests' belongings is a matter of security. He did not take my bags initially so he had no way of knowing whether I was taking what was actually mine or not. It's astounding to have received such terrible service throughout my stay & I'd like to be compensated for the inconvenience.

The hotel is in a great location in the city and not too far a walk from the beach. We had a great time there and appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast bar is amazing - hot and cold choices topped off with fresh bread, rolls or pastries. Most evenings include a complimentary drink and snack on the roof overlooking Dizengoff Square

Quirky, fun hotel in the heart of Tel Aviv

The hotel is a converted vintage cinema. There is vintage film equipment and movie posters everywhere - the theme is carried throughout the hotel. Gorgeous, quirky and beautiful! Very comforable and pleasant stay

Superb location for all the highlights of this wondrous city, public transport for all over directions easily available, taxis if wanted, restaurants of all kinds surround the hotel,, shops of tatt and lots of quality too, 4 screen top films cinema, adding up to a vibrant enjoyable experience. The staff are making sure that you enjoy your visit. They are perceptive as to your needs and wants, and oblige accordingly with a smile, only too happy to help. My wife and I had a standard room for our 6 night stay, and knowing that it was going to be a small room and bathroom, with an equally small balcony, were delighted because it had such character and ambience. And, if you want to have one of the best breakfasts in the city, then be prepared to spend more time than usual to savour the quality. The breakfast manager, Yuval, will make sure you remember your Cinema Hotel experience lovingly, as will any other member of staff working at the hotel, be it at reception, in housekeeping, in maintenance, in catering or in management.
