So What started off as a nice experience. With the receptionist turned into not a very nice stay.
We had to move the bed as we dropped something down the back of it and it was filthy I think it might have been dust or fluff.
The plug sockets were not very accessible for charges. I had my laptop with me and was unable to charge due to the poor positioning of the plug sockets.
We open the window as it was quite stuffy as we chose a small room, and when we went to close it it would not close. So we had to go all night with the window open. The heating was inadequate for the room.
I’m here it is the grand finale the icing on the cake-we came to Manchester to go out so asked for a late checkout option. We paid £10 to have an extra hour in bed, an extra hour where we were not disturbed and gathered our thoughts ready for our drive home. Bang on 11 o’clock there was a bang on the door as if we were being raided by the police and somebody burst into the room. My wife was half dressed on the bed and I was getting out of the shower.
We paid £10 to to not be disturbed and we were the noise from the cleaners cleaning the rooms also added to the problem.
I think it’s utterly disgraceful but a male can enter a room with no warning after banging on the door so hard. Why didn’t you check the system to find out who had paid extra for that one hour of tranquilizer.

Check in was very straight forward. The girls working at the desk were really nice, id been assigned a room already but due to travelling with friends I requested a room on the same floor, this was adjusted with no issues.
The whole hotel was really nicely kept, very clean and tidy and smart. I felt I was in a hotel worth twice the price.
The room itself although small was enough for 1 person. Everything worked and was as expected.
The 1 downside of my room (529)I believe , is that I was right next to the lift which I could hear being used all night which was an issue for me. Otherwise I was happy.
The breakfast was nice too but I got mine a little late(about 10.15am) so the food wasnt super fresh.
The hotel is in a decent location too, about a 10-15min walk from piccadilly station.
Id certainly use them again for any future shows I attend at the co op arena.

Nice hotel, good size classic double room, staff very friendly and informative, tea and coffee available in room with biscuits, good size desk for working on, wifi had good signal and easy to connect to, usb points in the room as well as by the bed, shower was powerful and hot, some small defects to the decor but nothing too bad, breakfast buffet was great, good selection of hot food and pastries with excellent coffee from new machine, local parking close by at NCP circle square. Nice touch to offer free coffee when leaving the hotel.
The only issue was the noise from the outside which was quite loud through the night, maybe an upgrade to triple glazing would help.

This was an adequate hotel, very small room, fine for one person as I was, terrible if you're a couple. No real place for luggage because I wasn't lifting it over the bed to get to the unit, so it sat tucked in between the bed and the wall. Rooms really need updated but were clean and fine for a place near the station and O2 Apollo stadium to lay your head. Would I stay again? Probably not. Breakfast was good. Despite advertising late night pizza, that was not a thing when I asked about food late in the evening. They do have a mini snack station to get crisps and sweets, so my dinner was a packet of crisps! Oh well. For what it was it was fine, but I would opt for the ibis round the corner given the choice. This hotel could be a wee gem but the small rooms, poor maintenance and dated decor let's it down. Staff were nice to their credit. There are no shops nearby that I saw on my walk to the stadium unless you head back up to the train station (5-10 minutes walk) but as I only stayed one night there may have been one I just had not discovered yet. Overall, average but did the job.

A disappointing experience overall. I had attended the hotel for a couple of days conferences previously which were good and so I thought I'd stay overnight to see what it was like.

Positives - Food was average or ok, comfortable bed and generally clean housekeeping. Pendulum centrepiece is interesting from a historical perspective.

Negatives - poor value for money, disorganisation of hotel, some of the staff were rude / unprofessional / inappropriate, flimsy shower rail in the bathroom, decor needs some care and attention.

Room manager was helpful however and compensated me with a free lunch for issues with the check in and poor customer service while I was there. Unfortunately let down by the rest of the team. There are plenty of other much better hotels in Manchester and I will be avoiding this one in future.

We paid £160 for a night in a room that we would normally expect to pay around £80 for. The room was small, the bed very small, the decor tired with a view over a derelict car park and really noisy, we could clearly hear the guy in the next room cleaning his throat and then spitting, not really what you want to be woken to at 7am.
The selection of tea and coffee was poor, again for this price we would expect more choice.
On the plus side, the shower was nice and powerful with plenty of hot water but we were given only one set of towels between the 2 of us (they were nice thick towels)

This promises so much & delivers so little. Reception staff were pleasant. The pendulum was interesting.

The food was mainly fried & not in a good way.

Mattresses were soft but towels were clean and the room did have tea & coffee making facilities.

Will not be staying again but you want basic no frills, this is the place.

Be wary of the black table cloths at breakfast.

It was a last minute booking and for 5he location and price I was looking for it ticked all the boxes - between station and The Apollo. So much so I've booked for my next trip to Mancester visiting The Academy 2. Breakfast was great too. Hot or cold lots to choose from.

Just two things - the whole building looked a little bit dated but was clean from what I could see with all the necessary facilities. Also, I struggled to enter the room with the key card but that may just have been me!

Pleasant hotel, but uncomfortably hot

A clean and functional place to stay near the Gay Village for Pride. The room was small but not ridiculously so. The shower was wonderfully powerful. But I couldn't come back - the room got very warm indeed overnight (it was August), with no air conditioning or fan. It was an uncomfortable stay.

My first visit was for a conference and I liked the hotel ambience, so I was eager to see what sleeping in would be like. The room I got was on the 5th floor and it had a great view. The room was clean and cosy. The shower was warm and nice and I love the breakfast. The only downside was that I paid £17 for it online but it was £9.50 at the hotel and I probably could pay less if I booked in person 24 hrs before. Overall I had a good time there and it had access to good shops and restaurants around. I walked to and fro the train station which was a major convenience for me.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The staff were super friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Although our room wasn’t quite ready, they happily stored our bags so we could head out and explore—really appreciated that.

Check-in was quick and easy. We didn’t opt for breakfast, so can’t comment on that, but everything else was spot on. We booked a compact room—it was definitely on the smaller side, but perfect for what we needed. Clean, tidy, and the shower was lush.

They even had a fan in the room, which was a lifesaver since it did get quite hot. Overall, a great little hotel and I’d definitely stay here again!

Clean rooms but maybe a little dated. Lack of convenient plug sockets. Getting the TV to work was a bit of a chore. Shower is tap mixer bath with a moveable curtain rail which kept falling down. But it's a good spot, convenient for Piccadily or Oxford Road stations. Decent price and would stay again.

My stay was comfortable, great service and an ideal location for what we needed. My only criticism is there wasn't much room in the main room. As someone that has to do yoga excercises regularly for back issues there wasnt enough room to do this. I do also feel the room could be updated a little. Overall it was a good stay but wouldnt stay for more than one night due to.space.

Only negative was the room was way too warm and there doesnt seem to be air conditioning. Fan in the room needs replacing as you cant really feel it at all. Overall good place.
