A pleasant 2-night stay overall. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, with great bedding, fast Wi-Fi and an excellent breakfast. Convenient location too.

On the downside, we were initially given a room with an adjoining door with another room - not ideal after a long overnight flight. Staff swapped it quickly, though the replacement was on the first floor with a view of the rubbish bins.

The gym has some decent equipment, but a few machines are old. Some basic maintenance is needed.

Getting there was our first hurdle. Fun fact about Manchester, there are three hotels with almost the same name! We went to the wrong Hotel first and found out upon trying to check in. We got a cab and went to another one which was also the wrong hotel! Third time's the charm and we finally made it to the hotel! Tired and exhausted from traveling from Canada and ready for a nap.

Room was super clean and perfect for our concert destination that evening at the co-op. Huge Hotel, friendly staff and rooms that are comfy and cozy with a modern aesthetic.

Would be great if there was a hot tub. It would be great when traveling to have that option in the morning or evening.

Conveniently we were able to leave our luggage there at reception until heading to the airport later on that day.

The restaurant looked nice and was busy however we did not try it. There was no breakfast included therefore we explored the area.

This hotel is an amazing area with so many walkable amenities! The train is very close along with Piccadilly Gardens

Based on location and quality of the room/bed I would definitely return.

Station easy 5 minute walk away.
Clean bedroom with nice pillows and extremely comfortable bed.
A few disappointing things that let it down, quite bad stains on the carpet, cracked bathroom floor tiles, easy chair needs replaced as it has been damaged.
Great breakfast with good choice of hot and cold foods that got replenished quickly.
Would consider staying again if in the area but would book a better room.

It will definitely be my go to place to stay when travelling to Manchester- i feel safe in the room (it's only a small thing but it's very important to me, it has the catch to go across the door so noone could get in so makes me feel safer) great location, lovely shower and comfy bed, what more could you want.

What a little gem for our first visit to Manchester. Lovely and clean, great location but the staff were just wonderful (Sharon on reception is lovely, professional and so welcoming) and also in bar and at breakfast. Good offer on for breakfast despite us turning up at the busy time and a well stocked bar for the evening. Lovely to sit out by the canal too in the sunshine. Will definately be back here when we next visit.

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times & it’s in a really convenient spot just a few minutes walk to the city centre & reasonable parking across the road (not Aytoun Street parking as spaces are really tight there’s one a little further round with plenty of spaces & £15 for 24 hours, Major Street I think)
Staff were friendly & helpful & room was clean with everything we needed

As soon as we walked in it felt fresh, bright, and clean. The staff at check in were very friendly and there was a nice feel to the place. The bars were busy and again had a good ambience about them. Our room was spacious, the bathroom was large, but the shower did leak through to the floor unfortunately. All room amenities were good and satisfactory. Would stay again.

Room and facilities were great and I love its central location, but the member of staff who was on duty when we checked in and out (think his name was Yannis) didn't make us feel welcome. When we arrived to check in we had to wait a few minutes while he chatted with another guest and the smile he had for her when she left disappeared for us. Whilst checking out he just glanced over and didn't even ask how our stay was, which I felt was rude as we were nothing but courteous to him.

Stayed in a junior suite on this occasion. The suite was spacious and comfortable, with a massive bed. The fridge had a slightly odd setup, a single KitKat and two sparkling waters. The bathroom is old, which is disappointing as the starting entry-price rooms have been upgraded. Air conditioning works well. The breakfast buffet is excellent, though the breakfast area feels a little cramped and the drink machine’s location creates gridlock. Overall, a very comfortable stay with a great breakfast.

The room was clean and the morrning staff were very kind however when coming back to the hotel (at 1am) there was a very loud party happening and when i asked what time the music would stop i was told 2am but the music was so loud i could hear it from my room with all doors and windows closed atnd the music seem to get louder and didnt stop until 4:30am nearly 5:00am so i got no sleep. The night staff just kept telling me that it would be stoping soon but it was so loud all night.

I felt very welcome and one lady on reception in particular was lovely, she even asked after my family member who was in hospital. Sadly when I checked out she was not there and the staff were very dismissive, didn't even ask if everything had been all right, this is the bare minimum as far as I am concerned. When someone is leaving, you want them to come back.

Breakfast was delicious. However, after a wonderful dinner, we asked for the bill. We wanted to give a little tip and rounded up the amount by almost 15%. In the dim lighting of the restaurant, we didn't notice until later that a 10% service charge had already been added. The otherwise sweet young girl should definitely have told us. That's very SNEAKY. Are we going to visit that hotel or restaurant another time? Hardly. A sad end to an otherwise lovely visit.

Good soundproofing & AC. The safe could take three laptops. Clean, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
Staff do their job. But that doesn’t include engaging with the customer. Zero eye-contact or acknowledgment from reception any time we passed, over three days.
On the other hand, everyone else we encountered in Manchester - outside the hotel - was friendly and chatty.

Check in: The front desk staff were unprofessional and showed a very indifferent attitude. I had already paid for my reservation in advance, yet I was still asked to make the payment again. It was only after I presented my credit card transaction record and the payment receipt that it became clear that the issue was caused by the hotel’s own system. However, no apology was offered, and the staff member remained cold and dismissive throughout the interaction. I think the quality of staff training and professionalism clearly requires urgent improvement.

The room itself is OK. But sound insulation is poor, and the tram noise outside was somewhat disturbing.

The breakfast was average. The coffee was very weak and watery.

Positives: Ideal location, great breakfast and friendly staff. Suite rooms are very spacious and comfortable.

Negatives: Fire alarm went off late evening and we (along with other guests) were not able to leave the building using the fire exit doors on 2 seperate levels (key cards did not work) Luckily it was a false alarm but we had to find an alternative exit. Separately, a coffee cup had a lipstick mark on it and there was a used plaster stuck to one of the towels.
