Lovely hotel in a historic building full of character. The check-in was easy with the code to enter the building and room but I did feel like the security was compromised as the side door was open all the time so you could freely enter the hotel without a code or question from staff. TV signal/wifi wasn’t great and only app available was YouTube. The rooms are lovely and big, but very low lighting so was quite dark. A bottle of water in the fridge would have been welcome. Parking available with hotel or nearby parking available with a very short walk. 15/20 minutes easy walk to Arndale and main shops. Staff were friendly and very hands-on at breakfast, breakfast was okay although more expensive if booked via hotels.com, I wouldn’t recommend the avocado bagel but the pancakes was lovely.

The overall stay was quite underwhelming. The room was poorly insulated for sound so I was disturbed when the people staying in the conjoining room were trying to enter their room via the share hallway. The bedroom faces an external hallway and is also poorly insulated for sound. The check-in process was very confusing as I received multiple WhatsApp messages with conflicting information, including one to let me know my room would not be available until an hour after the scheduled check-in time. The location is fine but the parking is, in my opinion, difficult to manage.

Hotel looking extremely tired and unwelcoming. It feels like a hostel now. I was so embarrassed as I brought friends along. I used to use your hotel all the time instead of Dakota across the road. No bar CLOSED no service whatsoever, No restaurant!!! Never again!!!

Room was excellent. A little dark, some of the lightbulbs could do with being brighter. Main problem was the neighbours. They had a “party” until the very early hours, smoked a lot of very smelly things and generally were selfish. Ruined the stay.

Amazing hotel in a really central location.
Problem with TV which was fixed swiftly, staff are on hand 24/7 and are really friendly and helpful.
Leaving a 4 star as we booked breakfast and although we attended 30 mins before it ended there was nothing left and they said they wouldn’t be replenishing it. So we asked for a refund for breakfast, which will take up to 28 days and had to go elsewhere. Not a problem as plenty of cafes around, but an extra cost to us.
We have stayed here multiple times and will still return, large rooms, really clean and quiet and lovely comfy beds. Kitchens etc are an added bonus. It would be a great base for longer stays.

After a bad experience i gave the Native a second go. What a difference, some confusion over my room but this was quickly and professionally sorted. The room althoug still dark was spotlesss clean. The room was large but nice and warm. Television was excellent nice smart tv. Definitely redemption..great stay

Great location. Easy to find car parking (paid). Perfect for exploring the Northern Quarter or small walk over to Dean’s Gate. Our room was perfect. We took our JRT and he was made to feel very welcome. Lovely view from our room. Great having the kitchen and living space. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here numerous times previously and always enjoyed it. Great location and decent sized rooms. This time I was severely disappointed. The staff were great and the cleanliness was without fault. The room however has been neglected. TV not working, locks on windows loose. Overall just felt like the place needed some serious TLC.
Bar/restaurant shut until July apparently. Overall, it would make me think twice whether to stay again.

One bed apartment.....kitchen was excellent, staff friendly, the bar was closed which was dissopointing. The apartment was spacious and welcoming, large bedroom, large lounge and dining area, great views. The downside was the very hard bed which caused aches and pains and Iawoke several tim3s with pibs and needles, dead arms etc..... the sofe and chairs were not particularly comfortable when seated for more than 20 minutes.

Bar & Restaurant had been closed down, bearing in mind we were staying Xmas Eve, Xmas Day and Boxing Day we were looking forward to a relaxing drink after a 5 hour drive, no notice prior to arrival of the bar/Restaurant being closed. Rooms although spacious were lacking warmth, no plants as on pics, felt extremely sparse and although we appreciated the industrial style a few pictures, plants and dressings as in advertised photos would have helped. Whole place felt very run down, threadbare carpet and rugs. We were moved to another room due to noise from the upstairs room, rather frustrating that it was us that had the upheaval and not the room causing the disturbance. Tv signal was shocking and made it very difficult to watch anything.

It's too dark inside the space, and the table and lighting set away from power sockets maybe offer an extension lead within the room to save dragging things around. Bedroom and bathroom both ok. TV wasn't the best and poor signal whenever it was on. The onsite team were helpful and friendly.

Positive-location is great and flat lools amazing.
Negatives- style over function, the lighting is very pretty but not functional, the layout and floor looks great but floors are noisey and loose in places. Bathroom and bedroom floors rocky and loose (which is a hygiene concern in the bathroom) . The double doors in lounge to adjoining room are not soundproof and it was very loud, they might as well have been in the room. Our neighbours were also in and out alot ao it was noisy till 3am. The main door to the apartment is in a shared hall and the shared door does not lock which is a safety concern esp with no lock or code on the lift. The building and gf bar/area was very busy and very loud. The main issue is the shared door causing sort an air lock that our fromt door sounds like its being opened every time next door open their door or the shared door. Sounds like someone is trying to get in and you can hear it in every room. The apartment was not spotless sadly. Also the pots/kitchen looks great but not functional , tiny bowls, tiny bin.

Overall disappointing and we wont stay again which is a shame .

Hotel is great, unique due to the type of building. Apartment style is a great size for the money. Despite the rooms having brick walls and the building being a converted mill the rooms are very warm and cozy.

Only complaint would be to have net curtains to let natural light in whilst retaining privacy.

Lovely place, really comfortable bed and lovely and clean. My main issue is there is nowhere in the bedroom to do your hair or makeup. The mirror is above the headboard of the bed and no other mirror in the room. The lighting also isn’t great in the living room in the place that had a mirror with a plug. The location is great, easy to get around the city.

This was our second time staying at Native for work in Manchester. We really like the vibe of the hotel, that it has a car park below at a reasonable rate, it's in great walking distance of much of what Manchester has to offer and the check in is really simple. The bar area and restaurant serve delicious food and is a nice spot to just sit and work for a while. Our only slight gripe was that the bed is very firm. We'd previously stayed in a studio and don't remember the bed being so firm, so maybe it's just in the standard rooms? We would stay again though as it generally ticks so many boxes.

Room wasn’t ready on arrival but Staff were helpful and friendly and gave us a different room and some drinks vouchers for the bar while we waited. Code then didn’t work to access room but staff sorted it out promptly.

Room was very spacious living area was large but didn’t look like pictures on website at all. Very bare looking and basic unlike photos on website which had lots of plants and soft furnishings and looked homely hence why I booked it in the first place.

The sink in bathroom was completely blocked and full of hair which was disgusting, there is no way cleaners could have missed this when cleaning which makes me think they didn’t care and ignored it.
The extra single bed in living room was ridiculously small for an adult and very uncomfortable. The main bedroom however was comfortable and we slept well although my 16 year old son slept terribly on single fold out bed which was also a lot smaller than photos on website. Doesn’t seem acceptable when paying a premium price.
Television didn’t work properly kept loosing signal and picture quality and sound quality were bad.
Definitely wouldn’t book to stay again lesson learnt. Traditional hotels provide a better standard and service compared to apartotels.

Hotel was excellent in so many ways, clean, comfortable, convenient location.
Just a couple of things though, no mirror in bedroom area other than the one above the bed, so difficult for drying hair, putting on make up etc. the light switches not in the best positions, see also plug points.
Not a fan of the pin code access rather than an actual key, but I guess that’s maybe my age showing!
However, the room was fantastic, visually very striking, very spacious, well equipped, clean and warm!
I will definitely look to book again next time I’m in Manchester.

We recently stayed at Native Manchester and were impressed by the unique blend of modern comfort and historic character that this aparthotel offers.

The apartments are within a beautifully restored former warehouse. The location is ideal, just a short stroll from Manchester Piccadilly station, making it a convenient base for exploring the city.

We stayed in apartment 307, a premium one bed apartment, which was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything needed.

The kitchen had a hob and microwave and crockery, allowing for the flexibility to dine in. However, the crockery and pans were not clean when we came to use them so had to be washed before use, a minor inconvenience during our stay.

The bed was large and extremely comfortable, we had a restful night’s sleep, and the rainfall shower was great with plenty of hot water.

The lighting, due to the layout of the room, was a little dark, there were plenty of lamps but no overhead ceiling light in the lounge or bedroom. A couple of the lights in the room had bulbs out and one of the hall lights was broken.

The TV was a bit flickery and went off completely at one point but we managed to reboot it and use a fire stick.

The sofa in the room was also very low, and due to mobility issues, it was a struggle to get up from it at times but that a personal preference. The Chair was much better and much more comfortable.

The apartment was a little chilly in the evening, so a blanket to watch TV would have made the stay eve

The staff were very friendly and the room spacious. Some people might not like that the bedroom window is onto the corridor so Jo natural light.

The coffee supplied in the room is in a bag and the cups very small. No hools for towels or coats and could do with more attention to detail when cleaning - fridge grubby and the bathroom needs attention. Lighting isn’t great if you want to read and the sofa not very comfy . We stayed in a premium room
This time and only difference was it was bigger. Same furniture layout as a standard room.

Otherwise this is a reasonable priced, great location. Woudl stay again.

We were unable to check in online as the website wouldn’t accept our ID photos. When we got to reception this step wasn’t even needed so not sure what the point was?

At reception we were told our room was ready (it was 1:30 so that’s fine check in wasn’t until 3). But we were then told it might not be ready for 3 but we would get a text when it was.

So we waited around the city centre, with our 2 year old. Only to never receive a second text. By 3:30 we gave up and just came back, the room was ready to check in, we just had not been told.

Very poor processes and communication.

Staff were excellent, friendly and courteous. Location also good and underground parking was very useful (though the roofs are low so watch your boot lid when you open it. The Penthouse apartment (706) was ok but pretty shabby for the price. Tables and chests of drawers were severely water stained. Floor needs lacquering, towel rail in one of the bathrooms didn’t work, walls were scuffed and generally it just felt uncared for and in need of sprucing up - then it would be worth the money. Would I stay again , yes. But I’d try a different room.
