My room was full of little hairs, I do not wish to think where they were from.
When I advised reception they offered me another room late in the evening so I had to pack everything up and leave which was rather inconvenient.

We missed our sitting and wad told by the manager that we would not be given a refund as it was down to Expedia. Also changed our evening plans as we were told that the bar shut at 11 pm. When we got back at midnight it was still open. Also, reception could not give any information on the nearest police station as my phone had been stolen other than \"there is definitely one around somewhere\"

The room that we had booked wasn’t correct, we had paid more for a family room and that wasn’t what we had been provided.
When we had queued to check out and discuss our issues and we were told just to put our key in the box.

I was excited about it and was looking forward to well deserved rest , but instead I became unwell as a result of multiple unpleasant experiences during my stay in this hotel.

They simply flipped over the duvet just to make it appear that it was changed . I had to purchase my own handwash on the third day.
I became seriously unwell on the fourth day and could not leave my room until we checked out . I made a serious complaint to the management and a 30% refund was processed to compensate me for the awful experience.

I found that the breakfast was not at all worth the extra charge. The food looked quite unappetizing, and tasted equally dismal. I'd recommend passing on the on site breakfast and instead finding a nearby restaurant or cafe.

Check in was rushed due to long queues. I couldn’t remember if I’d booked breakfast and in the rush forgot to ask. Normally reception mention this and if you haven’t the ask if if you want to add it. Non of that. Just took my money and onto the next person. We ended up going elsewhere for it the next morning.

Another overall pleasant stay while attending a concert at the Co-Op Arena. This hotel is perfectly placed.
My only issue would be the lengthy queue for check in. I appreciate a large proportion of the guests were also attending the same concert and whilst the Reception Staff were as quick and pleasant as they could be the queue was held up due to the number of people asking general questions about getting to the Arena.
This issue could be easily resolved by having a “Meeter & Greeter” positioned in the entrance to assist guests with any queries of such a nature when a concert is being held without holding up the queue for everyone else.
Our room was pleasant , there are toiletries provided and the temperature of the room could be easily controlled.

She cleaned the toilet and sprayed the room, but the smell remained, making the bathroom very unpleasant to use throughout my stay.
Breakfast was also below standard — I would rate it 2 stars at best. The quality and variety were poor compared to what you would expect from a hotel in this category.
Service at the bar in the afternoon was also unsatisfactory. A female member of staff clearly required training in customer service. I stood at the bar waiting to be served and she ignored me, choosing instead to serve the person next to me. Only after I spoke up to say I was there first did she serve me — and she then apologised to the other customer instead of acknowledging her mistake to me. Very poor service and not acceptable hospitality standards.
Overall, this hotel failed to meet expectations in cleanliness, service, and quality. I will not be staying here again.
