Room layout was good, small but comfortable with great shower and toiletries. Communal areas clean and well maintained. Convenient location for Northern Quarter amenities.
Breakfast was ok - I struggled to make a choice. Pastries were basic and unappetising. Some younger breakfast staff were inattentive, stood in groups chatting.

Everything was all ok as usual at this hotel. However, overnight roadworks (for some 6 weeks!!) were not advertised at time of booking. This meant 2 sleepless nights. Not ideal, but the room was comfortable enough.

Also, scrambled egg recipe has changed - these taste bad now!

I paid £225 for one night. I understand prices increase when events are on, but considering the same room is often around £65 per night, this felt extremely expensive and not reflective of the overall experience.
The male staff were pleasant and welcoming, however the female receptionist at checkout was not particularly friendly. It would have been nice to be asked if we had enjoyed our stay, as this is something you would expect from a Hilton-branded hotel and it makes a difference to how valued you feel as a guest.
I was notified by Hotels.com about a £1.20 charge, but there was also a £30 charge taken at the hotel. I was assured this was a temporary deposit and would be refunded, however this has not yet returned to my account, which is concerning.
The breakfast buffet was extremely busy and overwhelming. As someone who is autistic, I found the environment quite difficult to navigate. We arrived at 8:10am and there was very little food left. I was only able to get the last remains of scrambled egg and beans, and the overall choice was disappointing. In comparison, I have experienced better breakfast availability and organisation at a Ibis Budget hotel, which is surprising given the Hilton branding and higher price point.
Overall, the stay was acceptable but did not justify the price paid. I would have expected a more comfortable, welcoming and better organised experience for £225.

This was my 4th or 5th stay at this hotel in the past 3 years. Before arrival I was told I’d need to pay the £1.20 city tax, which I was aware of. However, when checking in, an unexpected £30 charge appeared on the card machine. The receptionist didn’t explain this until I questioned it, saying with some attitude towards me it was a standard deposit. I’ve never been charged this before and there was no mention of it when booking.

The room cleanliness was also poor, with water spilled over the desk and toiletries left behind by previous guests. I disposed of these myself as I didn’t want to deal with reception again.

While I understand the roadworks outside aren’t the hotel’s fault, some prior warning would have been helpful due to road closures and access issues to the car park. I was also woken at 7am by loud roadworks, which wasn’t ideal after a late night.

Also the cost of the drinks was basically daylight robbery 2 cans of 300ml water was £5.50 this ridiculously priced.

Overall, this stay was disappointing, especially considering it cost nearly £200 for one night and involved rude staff. Previous stays were faultless, but this visit fell well below expectations. If I say he again I really hope they improve and my stay will be like previous visits

Toilet roll holder was broken, toilet was running with water after flushing, the kettle refused to switch itself off and the mattress was very uncomfortable. There was a glass sliding door across the bathroom which was not very well fitted and if the bathroom light was on during the night it shone through the door. Definitely a design fault.

However we had a nice breakfast and the staff were very helpful.

Room smelt damp and there was a large amount of condensation on the windows. The windows couldn't be opened to help air the room and so the carpet in front of the windows had begun to mould in places.
The bathroom shower tray and enclosure had also started to mould.
The breakfast selection was average but there was plenty of space when we arrived.
The parking at the hotel is extremely limited but there is public parking a relatively short walk away from the hotel. This public parking is significantly cheaper than parking at the hotel.

Absolutely awful stay. Didnt sleep at all from 2am onwards there was an alarm going on constant till the morning. Told wed get a refund because the staff said they could hear it and it wasnt fair but havent heard anything about the refund after various emails. Would never stay there again

Breakfast long queue which delayed our day. Spent 30 mins waiting to enter the breakfast area. Not great as I’m disabled.

I was very comfortable at my recent stay at Hamptons. The room itself was clean, nicely appointed, well maintained and designed.

I really don’t have anything negative to say about the room. I managed to secure an extremely reasonable rate of around £55 via Expedia, so for that price point, the hotel, room and facilities were excellent value and very nice product as a whole.

The only few negative comments which are mainly isolated to my room would be the hairdryer was broken and only worked on one speed setting. I also noticed a row of dead pixels on the TV. It wasn’t really noticeable from the bed, but I did notice it whilst standing near the TV. I thought also maybe at least one bottle of water might have been included in the room.

Besides from that, the staff were friendly, helpful and I certainly would stay here again.

The place around the hotel was so traffic as there’s constructions are going on. Check in was fine but the room itself, the lowest temperature on the control system is 19 which is really hot. Me and my family were not able to sleep properly as it’s so hot. The bed and pillow makes sounds everytime we moves. It’s probably the bed cover not the bed sheet. The food selections are limited. Scrambled egg ha No taste, sausages are burnt as if we’re chewing a rubber. The place were the foods are Very small place so there’s always a long queu as in we’ll spend longer hour to queu than to eat. I booked this hotel as this is Hilton but I was very disappointed. I will never book in this hotel ever again.

As a city centre hotel the hotel was among the best of its type in our experience. Any trepidation about the hotel vanished as we entered the foyer and our bedroom. The location enabled us to experience Manchester on foot in the local area. Ignoring the current massive road works of the time, getting into the underground car park was awkward. I would suggest parking in the nearby car park for a short time (£1) and paying for the hotel car park before unloading the car.

Room had a big stain in the middle of the carpet and hair on the bed.
Breakfast was unbearably busy. Not a pleasant experience at all. We gave up and went down the road to buy breakfast elsewhere (despite it being included in our rate). Queue went though the restaurant meaning people were stood by others eating.
Staff were all fantastic though, very polite and courteous.

Bar was open really late which was nice & allowed us to chill after our gig before going to bed. Only issue was car park, it was a nightmare to get to due to road works/closures & when we did find it no one answered the buzzer

We arrived at the property at 1pm to drop our bags off (i rang before hand to check this was ok )

There were two members of staff behind the counter, non of them look up , I asked politely if we could leave our bags and the young man was rude and just threw a ticket at us, no words .

When we checked in , the lady on reception was so hostile and really needs to work on her welcome manner , she then said breakfast would be busy in the morning , I asked what time we should come down and she didn’t answer I asked to book , not an option , it was like she was saying don’t bother !

The room was ok , very hot , air con didn’t really work , paid for a city view of roadworks that where very noisy to !

Not many staff especially at breakfast which was a full on distaster. Queued for 45 minutes as no food left and when it was repleished slowly one item at a time with 5 minutes between each item coming out it was poor quality ingredients. Croissants and pastries had ran out mid way through service and not replenished at all. Staff did not seem to care.
Stained duvet cover.
We were placed in a room with disabled facilities so the shower difficult to access for non disbled people due to pull down showerbseat and low shower which was also spoilt with water only a little warm.
Overall expected great things for £240 a night, we would of had a better night in Travelodge.
Toilet holder not secure.
2 coffee sachets, 1 teabag and 2 sugars in the room with no spoons. Not sure how we were supposed to stir drinks.

1. Check in was slow.
2. Resented paying the tourist tax.
3. Never been asked on previous visits to the hotel to pay a £30 refundable surcharge. When cash was offered and rejected this entails an intrusion into my personal banking which I resent. Also check of our numerous visits to the hotel would have shown that we had never disrespected any material or personnel aspects.

We checked in and got to our room and there was trash on the floor, stains on the wall, a chunk missing from the wall near the bed, and little bugs everywhere. We went downstairs and they thankfully gave us another room. But all they said was “that’s not ideal.” The new room we got had stains on the couch and floor, hair on the bed, and stains on the two of the towels. For the price I paid I expected better.

Comfortable stay!

We stayed 4 nights and the service was excellent.
I am very grateful to all the staff the hospitality, especially to Dianne and her team at breakfast time.
The room and interiors in general are all in very good condition.
The only thing that can be improved is the menu selection and variety at breakfast. Sometimes there is no more remaining scrambled eggs, for example, gʻand we get told thats all for today, even though there's plenty of time until the end of breakfast time.
Parking is very expensive at the hotel but there are very cheap carpark options at a few minutes walk away.

Nice Hotel - Handy for Co-op Arena

Reasonable location in the Northern quarter. On arrival there was only one member of staff behind the check in desk but there were several others milling about and despite a queue forming staff were very slow to react and check people in. The check-in process was quite straight forward and the room was very nice and clean and tidy. The only downside of the whole stay was a fire alarm activation about 6am the following morning. The duty staff seemed to have little idea as to the correct cause of action in relation to the incident and once clear to re-enter the building a couple of other similar activations shortly after did make a for an overall pleasant stay. Breakfast was included and was reasonable.

Very clean and spacious room. The reason why i gave it a 1 star review is we couldnt sleep due to how hard the bed was, it was so uncomfortable it was like sleeping on the floor. The AC wouldnt work and the room was hot and stuffy. The menu for the restaurant is very limited to 3 or 4 items which for the price is not very good.and we ended up going out to eat. Parking is very expensive at the hotel but there is alternative parking around the area which is relatively cheap. If the bed wasnt as bad as it was i would have gave it a 3-4 star review but we nearly checked out at 2am due to how uncomfortable we were.

Stayed in a queen and single room. The reception staff were lovely. Even allowed us to book in early as we were heading off to watch Oasis. My only gripe was that I could smell smoke in our room all night. I am not sure if it was coming in via the air conditioning or window I never got that far. Apart from that the room and bed was very comfortable and the staff were very attentive even coming to the room to fix the air conditioning for us which we had struggled to set correctly. The lady even brought us a fan which was a nice touch. All in all would stay again.
