Bed was very uncomfortable and very noisy. Pillows were too soft and had 2 nights of terrible sleep. None of the entertainment on the TV was working therefore was unable to watch ITV player or BBC iplayer. The shower screen only covers half of the shower therefore water spilled all over the bathroom floor leaving us with a wet bathroom. Parking is very unclear, asked more than 2 members of staff who did not know anything about parking. Unfortunately this was a waste of money and will not be staying here again.

The hotel is a minute away from the Northern Quarter with all its bars and restaurants.
The hotel is very stylish and must be brand new.
The rooms are great too.

Highly recommend the check in was straight forward car park straight across the road very cheap for 24h. The staff was very polite and helpful the train station and tram stop 5 mins walk down the road 2 mins walk from the Arndale centre will definitely use this hotel again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Avoid the front desk!

The front desk experience was less than amazing, especially the gentleman that checked us in was a complete disgrace to your brand. We arrived earlier than expected. Fully understanding that we cannot get checked in. Was hopeful that we would be offered to check our bags and then we would come back later to finalize the room check in. Instead we got met with. It’s too early. Unsure what you were thinking. Unreal and was appalled. We asked a different agent who allowed us to check our bag and took our number so that we could be reached if something opened up. The other agent glared and shrug us off. Beyond upset. Most encounters from that point forward got better. Until he showed back up to work the next day. Met with the same attitude and stand offish ness from said individual. Will not go back.

I stayed here for my partners 30th birthday, on the first night we realised our AC was not working and therefore could not put the heat on. The room was freezing. We then contacted reception who then gave us a plug in heater, which turned itself off, and therefore we were cold during the night. The beds are also uncomfortable

Friendly staff at the front desk and in the restaurant/bar. They upgraded our room free of charge, which was a surprise!

The room and bathroom were clean with all toiletries. It was a bit chilly though as we just couldn’t get the heating to work no matter how much we played around with the thermostat (I’ve removed a star for this).

The location is great - just a few minutes from the city centre, tram stops, and Piccadilly Station.

Breakfast was great. I thought it would’ve been just continental but they had some cooked food too - scrambled eggs, beans, bacon - which I really appreciated after a long night out in the city.

Also tried the cocktails and other food, which were good.

Overall, pleasant experience and I’d stay again.

Nice hotel, but be sure to find and pre-book parking nearby as the hotel doesn't have a car park. Parking in Manchesters is expensive and can easily run to close to the cost of one nights stay if you are staying for 2-3 nights! Hotel was nice, staff friendly, well located, quiet (for city centre) and was close to all the things we wanted to be near. Would stay here again.

Staff generally very friendly and service was good. Reception staff need to be more aware of customers waiting at the bar (look up not down when passing!) but otherwise they were very friendly and welcoming. Room comfortable, clean and well equipped.

One night stay for trip to the AO, would use again for a city break.

The hotel description clearly says parking available, this was the reason we chose this hotel, when we arrived we were told there is no parking and were directed to a multi storey car park where we paid an extra, and had walks to and from hotel in rain with bags. On top of this the bathroom flooded with shower on and the shower was freezing cold even after letting run for a long while

Let me just get this off my chest, it's strange but here it is: the bathroom has a strange design and the bed they gave me wasn't a kingsized bed it was two doubles together, which wasn't that much of a problem, but I did find the seam sort of annoying while sleeping. Other wise it was perfectly perfunctory. Breakfast is extra but it's all good quality and the breakfast staff is more attentive than you would imagine a continental buffet would be. We spent 2 nights here and the most inconvenience is no on-site parking. The staff also asked us not to park at the Euro carpark next to the building as there are multiple complaints but recommended another carpark which is around 5 mins walk which charges £22.50 for 24-hour.

The hotel is close to city centre which is a plus to us and you are able take the free bus at Shudehill Bus Station to travel around the city centre

Staff is not taking care of customer

I stayed in this Marriott hotel for 1 night. Couldn't sleep whole night, as loud music was coming from the room next to me. I complained to the night shift manager and he didn't take any action.

Freezer was not working and when I complained to reception, she said they can't fix until next day.

There was no shower gel and conditioner in the bathroom. Bottle was there but no shower gel and conditioner in it.

I booked the hotel as it stated there was parking when arrived there was not and was given a post code that was ten minutes away which was an outside car park that didn’t seem secure so was on edge all night worrying about my brand new car. The rooms were really over priced for two single beds pushed together with a shabby quilt that did not have any cover on it the sheets weren’t the best did not sleep well at all. Had a shower to find the shampoo, wash and conditioner was all empty. The room was 208 if you would like to check. I have stayed in Marriott hotels before and never had these problems I will certainly not be returning back to this one it ruined my weekend completely.

TV had no signal and we had no running water from shower and sink for over 30 minutes in the morning this is how we knew the room phone didn’t work either.
On checking out receptions showed no care to our problems and we never received any apology for our issues

Stayed overnight for graduation celebrations in Manchester. I was really disappointed with our room. The top shelf above the safe had not been cleaned at all - there was a thick layer of dust with a beer can and vape packet shoved to the back. The TV was broken with nothing coming on. The middle leg of the bed had collapsed making it unusable. I requested a new room, to which a receptionist said they were fully booked and nothing could be done. This was not good enough as we physically could not sleep in the broken bed. He then provided us with an Accessibility Room on the same floor which was fine for the night. Poor experience from this hotel.

Check in was good, however a £40 deposit was taken on arrival which was not disclosed when booking, although it was returned later after checkout, the breakfast experience wasn’t the best, not a great choice and some of the “hot” food was cold, the toaster only toasted one side of the bread at a time and then ended up burnt, it was a lovely place and we would go back.

The service here was really good. We ate dinner in the bar which simple but tasty and reasonably priced. Rather than fancy and expensive. The breakfast was really good. Better than we expected and the air conditioning was better than most these days. The only downside was not enough glass around the shower so you had to be careful the water didn’t go everywhere. Car broken into - No help at all

I called the Marriott before our two night stay to see if they had car parking facilities, they told me they didn't but did recommend a euro carpark which was next to the hotel, they also advised of the daily rate.
We parked there and when going for breakfast after the first night we discovered that our car had been broken into and both passenger side windows had been smashed. I returned to the hotel for some assistance and was advised the car park had nothing to do with them and when I asked for a hoover or brush to try to clear the glass up I was offered a filthy brush and shovel with bits of dirt and chips still in the shovel.
As the car was now unsecure we had to leave and go home to secure the car.
I asked the hotel if we could be refunded/credit note for the second night as we couldn't leave the car the way it was and was flatly told no because we had prepaid.
Absolutely no help whats so ever....and then the hotel charged us 'city charge' for two nights even though we only stayed for one!!

Great hotel BUT just 2 issues: there is a building site right nextdoor - so be aware that building works are NOISY and start early in the morning. Also - I've never stayed in such a dark room. With all the lights on and the curtains open (in the day!) I still could barely see. Needs at least one light that actually lights the room!

An average stay in a nice hotel.

The hotel and room itself were gorgeous, seems very high end for the price we paid and right near the northern quarter which is where we spent most of our day! Lots of great food spots nearby.
However, we were given an accessible room which wasn’t ideal to have a seat etc in the shower. Feel like these rooms should be reserved for those who need it. The bathrooms also look a lot nicer on the standard room images. The room itself was also quite dark.
We were also kept up by a very loud noise in room 111 for hours on and off. Didn’t complain as it was early morning and we didn’t want to move rooms at that time, but it did ruin the experience a little of a night away from home.
Check in took a while and we were waiting around 10 or so minutes to be acknowledged, even though there was only one person in the queue infront.

Modern Marriott Hotel

This is a modern hotel just to the north of the city centre. It is a about a ten minute walk from Victoria station and twenty minutes from Piccadilly. I asked for a double bed and at first I was given a room with two singles! I had this changed immediately. The room itself was clean and well designed. When I went to bed I noticed that the double bed was actually two single mattresses put together so it was not ideal but my stay was only for two nights. The hotel is just off the Ring Road but I could barely hear any traffic or external noise though it was a midweek stay. The buffet breakfast had a good variety of items on offer to suit all tastes. Eggs can be cooked to order which is usually a good option though the poached eggs I had were a little under cooked.
One side of the hotel is adjacent to building works and I understood from another guest that these started very early in the morning. Much of the surrounding area does seem to need redevelopment or is in the course of improvement.

Birthday ruined .

Bed wasn't made, sheet was scribbled and sticky thing on it. AC did not work and phone failed to work to call and complain. We had sleepless night and when complained in the morning, the manager agreed to cancell rest of 8 days booking and refund and reduce the night stay by 59% . However I was charged for 8 nights and full price for the night stayed and 50% charges. Deepite multiple emails and calls money was not refunded . Please avoidd this hotel . It is not a Marriott at all and if it is then avoid all Marriott.

Generally it was very good. Clean and comfortable beds adequate facilities although bathroom poorly designed and creaky floors. Cleaner replaced 1 cup left the other dirty also through away soap we used once and didn’t replace. Staff were very nice my only real gripe was no parking on site and I was sent to a car park quite difficult to find where there is a much cheaper one right next door. The receptionist said the one they suggested was more secure but I think they should at least mention the one next door and let you decide. It was fine

I booked for 3 adults sharing, room was so small there was hardly any space to walk around the beds.
Breakfast was ok, however we ordered poached eggs and waited for 15mins for them to arrive.
Parking was a nightmare, I rang the hotel whilst on our way and was advised to park on a multi story a few minutes walk away as the hotel has no private parking. It was a 10 minute walk in the pouring rain, only to discover a pay and display right next door to the hotel!

I loved the hotel but except for one staff that made me feel he was racist. He works at the front desk and looks chinese. Always an attitude like he doesn’t want to be there at work.
We had an issue and everything we asked was no for him. Luckily a manager came out forgot her name but she’s Italian and she solved the problem very friendly and respectful.

The check-in was nice and quick, and the lady at the desk was professional and helpful. However, on arrival, the toilet seat was broken, so it was a nightmare to sit on as it angled diagonally. This was reported but never fixed. The card that lets entry into the room stopped working causing a slight inconvenience especially as the room was on the top floor and it was nighttime. Other than that a lovely stay overall, just the small inconvenience makes it annoying.

Room was a lovely size and fresh towels were given everyday as well as the room being cleaned. We’re also very clean upon arrival. Staff were very friendly. Only problems were the toilet space and the extractor didn’t work so bathroom got very steamed up. It said Netflix was able to for people to use their personal login, but was not possible (only minor).
