I am not happy with my recent stay at this hotel. I have stayed here many times whenever I am visiting Bangkok, and my family the same. But after this trip I will never return.

From 3rd to 8th November, I stayed alone on the 10th floor. The room was spacious, clean, and worth the £30 per night – no complaints at all. However, for my booking from 11th to 15th November, things went downhill. I booked a triple room, but instead of a proper setup, they simply shoved a horrible single bed next to the main bed. The room was on the 5th floor, which is in much worse condition compared to the 10th floor, and they charged me c£50 per night for this downgrade.

When I raised the issue, the customer service staff told me there were no other rooms available. Yet, when I checked online, I could see rooms still listed for booking. This means the staff were not only rude but also dishonest. The bed itself was awful – hard, with springs poking through, making it impossible to sleep.

I even offered to pay the difference to switch to two separate rooms instead of the triple, but the staff rudely refused, saying they could not cancel the current booking.

Overall, this was the worst experience I’ve had at this hotel. Poor customer service, uncomfortable rooms, and misleading practices. I will never stay here again.

The hotel is clean, no carpet which I like, can walk to the BTS Train on both sides, near shopping and restaurants.

The hotel is quite old, the bed moves when you sit down or move, the shower room only has hot and cold water, you can't adjust it to warm, the bathroom has only a sink, no counter to put things, only one towel for each person, no face or hand towel, only one pillow for each person and the pillow is very soft, but we asked for more pillows and they gave it to us and no microwave.

I have stayed at this property multiple times. It is a good value. While it might be time for a little refresh on the furnishings, the staff is always there and ready to help. It is so close to the BTS station and there are many options for food within a 2 minutes walk.

Don't judge a book by its cover

A very good value 4-night stay. Room was somewhat sparten and tired but very functional. Bed was comfortable. Wi-fi was excellent throughout the building.
Pool also was good only lacking in \"dressing\" of the area.
Breakfast was plentiful with good selection which did not change daily.
For the price (~A$65 per night) and great service I rate it as an excellent option in Playa Thai, being only 550m from the ATS station.

The staff was always available and attentive. It seemed like there was additional staff performing repairs on the property. I asked about using the laundry (self service laundry) and was directed to talk with the staff nearby. The attendant was prepared to replace some coins for cash but everything worked out in theend.

I tried the buffet breakfast and it was okay.

From the website, the hotel looks amazing. That being said, it isn't what it may have once been. When we arrived, I did not find reception to be very helpful at all. They were not willing to work with me to make a few needed changes. In my room, a tissue had been stuffed into the peephole for the door. I guess it was broken and they did not see the need to repair it. The shower head in my bathroom had mold clearly growing on it and it made me fearful of even showering in the bathroom. The breakfast is very limited and is the same every day. I ws there with students for an academic competition at the King power Center. There were other schools staying there as well and the other chaperones were not keeping an eye on their students. There was a couple of rooms of boys at the end of the hallway and they were constantly in the hallway making noise and unsupervised. I would not choose to stay here again.

this is a very nice friendly clean hotel. I stay here every visit to bkk. The hotel room are nice size. staff are very friendly and nice always reslove any visitor problems quicklu. Many rooms have been renovated and the the room that the staff work on during the day, the staff is carefuly to quitely. The hotel is very close to local resturants with good food.1000 feet to mall with theater and 1500 fett to BTS stop roof top pool and resturant for breakfast only

location is very convenient to resturants, shopping mall and most importantly the BTS is 1 block away. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Roof top pool is a plus and almost never crowded. I think the staff should mention the other amentities like gym, sauna, massasge etc on site but not advertised. A lunch or dinner option inthe resturant would also be a nice addition

Hotel looks a bit old but its clean. Room and toilet are quite spacious. Other facilities like fitness centre, a small pool and self service laundry is a plus point. Just make sure you keep all the 10baht coins to be able to operate the washing machine and dryer.
Hotel location is great. Walking distance to the mall, restaurants, convenient shops and only a few minutes walk to the BTS Victory Monument station.

Good location away from the heavy traffic, the standard room Divan skirting appeared dirty and the lazy chair dirty. The table lamp wire look messy. I would suggest to book on the Deluxe room with windows but still no view. The hotel can be rated as four star if facilities upgraded. Lobby area not very impress and furniture look old. Transportation not an issue.

The location is excellent, very quiet for sleeping but the rooms look like they were last decorated in the 70s and since then , everything has been painted badly in cream gloss apart from the walls which have been left dirty white. The bathrooms are all equally ancient worn out and leaky. The beds are creaky and worn out It looks grand from the outside but needs gutting . The breakfast is passable but the coffee is disgusting and that is a basic requirement surely ! The staff are all friendly and helpful :) Considering the state of the place I think it is overpriced.

central location near the transit stop

We spent 6 nights there last week. it was kind of concerning when the cab driver from the airport had no idea where this hotel is. he had to stop the cab and called the hotel to get the direction. it is an older establishment. no frills. very basic but clean. we had a two bedroom suite, spacious by any standard, with a kitchen, balcony, a queen size bed in one room, and two twins in another with TV. otherwise, just bath towels, no face towels, no tissues, but we picked up everything from convenient store across the street. centrally located in city of bangkok, transit stop is across the street. small night market with food vendors are also across the street. AC works really well in 90 degree days. swimming pool is small, the photo on line is deceiving. but would definitely stay there again, can beat it for the prize that we paid per night.

The hotel staff was very friendly, but the overall condition of the room wasn't really that great. A bit outdated I would say. We have stayed in room 921, there was a loud buzzing noise every evening / night from another building nearby, which seemed like a turbine-powered facility. It was hard to catch any sleep even with ear plugs, since we were both light sleepers. I would not stay at this hotel again in the future.

Worst hotel experience. Rented a family suite with 2 rooms. Rooms were filthy, walls had splattered stains, shower was in a bathtub that had an ugly ring of greasy dirt, fridge smelled horrible and was old/dirty, and the clothes cabinet smelled like rotten fish. Asked staff to change rooms, but they would not allow it. They only offered to give me cleaning supplies to clean the room myself.

a pillow each when hotels of 3 stars that i've been to would have 2 pillows each. staff wasn't willing to give extra pillows. there was a cockroach in the room, a big one. fridge was filled with ice cubes at the edge of the door, so the door had to be pushed with force to close it. receptionist wasn't friendly at all. only the lobby was nicely decorated, not the room. differs from photos online.

Wow you lied to me?

At first glance you kind of see the Hotel as something between a welcoming 30's type of hotel and the haunted mansion. The lobby has a wonderful old feel to it with lots of dark wood and a little Art Deco feel. After we got to the room l requested two twins and was now looking at a queen. They switched me rooms quickly. The room is spacious with lots of places to put your clothes, but this was a an old hotel, and checking out the bathroom was an experience. I didn't think you could put that much caulk on a bathroom fixture, but l was wrong. This would have been a nice hotel but everywhere l looked l realized if they would have put a little money in the place it would have been a much nicer hotel, repairing something that should be replaced is just a cheap way of doing business. I also didn't take notice of the building being built across the alley. Construction noise all day. Now if for all these things about the hotel you don't know about till you get there, l would have rated it much higher, l actually liked the hotel, but the first morning l was awakened by drilling next door. That morning l asked if they would continue work next door, and the staff said no. The next morning the drilling was even louder. I understand work has to be done and it's done during the day but you could have also moved me away from the work being done. So, if you lie to me, you get the lowest rating l ever left for a hotel.

I chose the property because i had a need to be near Victory Monument BTS, so in that regard it was great as it was less than a 5 minute walk away and 1 minute from a modern mall and local restaurants. The hotel presents well but was a let down by the detail, from having to leave a cash deposit, no bath mat or hand towels, no working plug in the hand basin and the real annoying one being very slow wifi which made it difficult to get anything done. They also refused me a late checkout even though the hotel was very quiet with about 3 people at breakfast. So other than the lication for me it was an underwhelming experience.

It's in a good spot but the air con in the room did not work on the first night, there are a lot of cracked and damaged tiles in the bathroom, most of the taps were sticking, gaps around the windows and the bed was really uncomfortable and the breakfast was pretty basic.

First of all, my family and I have stayed in a lot of mid-range hotels that are barely hanging on, so we were not expecting much when we booked. However.....

Victory was a pleasant sursprise! It is aging nicely, had great service, and was in a easy location. The Family Mart nearby, self-service laundry and proximity to the BTS train made it even better.

Nice Hotel but needs some renovation

The hotel is in a nice location close to small shopping mall and a metro station (The Victory Monument Station). However the hotel needs some renovation in the bathrooms and need to improve their walls as you can hear a lot of things from people walking and chatting down the hallway, people talking in the room next to you, and every small thing can be heard. Otherwise its a good hotel with friendly and helpful staff and a nice small pool.

While the workers were quite helpful, the front desk staff were anything but. TV had problems, noisy toilet ran constantly, room full of mosquitos, bed and pillows rock hard, hallways very noisy, toilet seat did not fit toilet, and the place is generally just getting run down. We were very disappointed this time.

Nice hotel, great location but limited services

Comfortable room, clean facilities, friendly staff. No elevator from street to lobby (have to climb stairs, hard on arthritic knees). Basic room includes all you really need but must request microwave or iron if needed. Not all items available (e.g., no DVD player available when requested). Stayed in 2 different rooms and had different TV formats (basic PAL vs. flat screen) with varying hookup capability (HDMI, USB, RCA cable, etc.). Breakfast buffet is limited compared to other hotels stayed at during other trips to Bangkok. Only breakfast is available, no lunch or dinner service or room service. This is ok if you're familiar with street vendors, who are plentiful along Soi Rangnam, Late night soda/snacks takes a little planning; there is a Tops Supermarket and food court in Century Plaza, nearby 7-11 and Family Mart next door. The rooftop pool is small but comfortable and very clean; good for a light workout. All the staff are very professional and courteous, and the front desk usually has someone with stronger English skills. Good wifi throughout the facility.

Welcoming and enjoyables stay at a great location

The service from the team was very good, what you would expect from a welcoming hotel. The rooms are cleaned everyday and refreshments are topped up. There is a swimmimg pool and fitness room which are available for usage until 10.30pm which was a great bonus. Would love to head back to this hotel as down the road there is plenty of food in the morning and night, plentiful convinience stores and easy access to the BTS and bus stops.

Convenient location near transport

The desk staff are very helpful, even if their English is a little limited. Easy check-in. A great location a block from the BTS Skytrain and Century Plaza mall with many shops, restaurants, snack places in many styles (Western, Thai, Japanese) and a good food court for the very budget conscious. Also has a Cineplex. It's easy for friends to find as it is between two major landmarks (the BTS and King Power Duty Free shop) right off a well-known street (Soi Rangnam). And it stands out as a tall yellow building. There's tons of street vendors for fresh fruit and hot take-away. Also a lot of restaurants. Close to the Saxaphone Jazz club and vendors of every ilk (clothes, shoes, gold, jewels, etc.).

Good price and pretty good hotel in good locatTion

The breakfast here is very good. The fitness centre is good enough for a good workout and has a steam room. The rooms are good. My only complaint is that the staff takes your passport until you leave and in my case forgot to give it back!!! This being said I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel looks great on the outside, even in the lobby. The room itself was sub-par. It had not been updated since 80s maybe. The faucet was loose. The sink clogged. But there was a beautiful pool and rooftop terrace. That made the hotel so much better - but the room... oh my the room...

We changed rooms 3 times, shower tiles broken, and sharp, husband cut leg getting out of bath.Broken toilet seat, asked for non smoking room, had chain smokers room. Breakfast was same meal every day. Air conditioner was as loud as jet engine, had to insert ear plugs to get some sleep. Definitely would not recommend.

Just a couple of minutes walk from train/buses at victory monument. Very big spacious hotel but getting a little old. However, we had a pleasant stay, everything was good...staff nice and friendly and a nice buffet breakfast in the morning. The room was large, comfy, clean and the bathroom was complete with bath/shower. We would stay here again as good value for a great price.

Sketchy booking conflict

Checked in after spending 10minutes looking for this hidden hotel in the alley next to victory monument BTS. Upon check in, we were informed that our 4 person booking was for 2 person max. Even though I insisted that our booking was for 2 on hotels.com, they did not budge and gave us only the option of \"topping up\" to the family room for an additional 1400thb per night. This is was an add on of having paid 128usd for our 3 nights. Furthermore, they insisted that their hotel was full, and these were our only options. On my end, my printed hotel confirmation for the victory executive residences did not show/substantiate that my original booking was for 4, so I had nothing to base it off. Other than this booking conflict, the room was very okay.

Tired room, but staff helpful

Breakfast was included which was good. Liked that there was a pool and fitness facilities. Need to have water provided in the fitness area.

The shower was very tired and felt as though the tub floor would fall through the roof below, as it did not feel secure. Bathroom needs updating. could use a few hooks to hang up clothes and towels for convenience.

Wouldn't stay in first room, they must try that one room on until they get someone that won't complain. They did move us to another room without hesitation. That room was better except a leak in plumbing that kept floor constantly wet. The help said 'every loom', so what can you do? Near Victory Monument Sky train station is the upside, plenty of places to eat near, fairly quite, nice sun porch up on the roof where the pool is. I have to think it was okay because I wanted a lesser expensive hotel near the skytrain. Perhaps next time I'll go a bit further away from the center of town and get something a bit newer, anything since JFK was POTUS would fit that bill I expect.

Great stay at The Victory

I had a great stay at The Victory! I stayed for a full week. I got the best price through www.hotels.com. The roof top pool is very nice, though a bit on the small side. Their fitness gym is excellent, large and well equiped, though if they opened earlier than 10AM would be nice. The rooms are good sized and I got a full size refrigerator. There is free wifi everywhere, but is slow for video, but not for emails because of bandwidth limitations I think.

there is nothing to shout about for this hotel. Overall the room deco is in the 80's. The overall cleanliness is 3-4, but the toilet (long bath - is dirty)I rate it 2.

Good Hotel

Excellent facade and okay rooms with mostly nice staff. Be sure to bring your own coathangers, toothbrush and hairdryer. And have a 500 baht bill ready for deposit when you check in, lest you should panic. Think that you are paying for the superb location. I wouldn't mind using this hotel again at all.
