My expectations for any resort is first all of the staff. From front desk, to restaurant staff, the employees cleaning the rooms. Secondly, location and having the amenities I enjoy while on vacation. Stonefield rates a 10 for me personally due to meeting all of my expectations. Concierge arranged transportation from and back to the airport, tours and transportation to town. I spent a couple of times at the on site spa, where the services were wonderful. The room I chose had everything I needed and more. The plunge pool, the view of the Pion, which was so close I felt I could touch. A mini fridge filled with creamers for a fresh cup of coffee using a french press. I want to especially recognize the restaurant and the staff. I was a solo traveler and they always made me feel like a friend. The chief was creative with each new nighly dinner menu which was fabulous. I especially enjoyed the Christmas menu with the fish soup. So much so, that I intend to make the soup at home. I have traveled to many places in the world and check off Stonefield as a great resort.

Stonefield Villa Resort was amazing, definitely one of the best places we vacationed. The villa we had (Hibiscus)was spacious, very clean, and had amazing views. Also the private pool was amazing. The resort is quiet and romantic great for anyone wanting to get away for some alone time. We rented a car at the airport so it was easy to get around to visit the sights, beaches, or go to town for groceries or try other restaurants.

This property is great. Spa was relaxing, dining was great with great music and not so crowded. Walkable but a steep hill. No TV and outdoor shower, which could be a problem for some when it rain. Overall everything was great.

We loved the property! It was serene and beautiful! Very relaxing. There is an amazing hiking trail through the property that leads you to the site of an ancient petroglyph, and through the beautiful garden where they grow vegetables and herbs. The staff was so welcoming and attentive. The spa was wonderful! The restaurant, Mango Tree, was beautiful, with stunning views of the ocean and Petit Piton, an delicious food. We loved the fresh local fruit options and are already missing them!

The location is beautiful the rooms views are spectacular but the dinner menu was pretty limited and bland, the showers also wasn’t working properly and no one ever fixed them, do a 4 night stay and paying over 3k you’d think the showers work.. other than that, the resort was nice

My husband and I got married here and stayed for a week as well back in April of this year. This resort exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The staff here are absolutely amazing. Valna and Katrina helped with our stay and our wedding. Everything went extremely smooth and they checked in on us every step of the way. The restaurant staff took the time to remember our names and treated us like family. The food was outstanding as well. They have security at the front of the resort so you are safe here. A short walk to the reception area and they will help plan whatever activity you want to do and arrange a taxi. The rooms were kept extremely clean and you have netting around your bed in case you’re worried about bugs. However we didn’t have any issues with insects whatsoever. Lizards you will see everywhere but they’re harmless! We’re already planning a trip back!

The privacy and tranquility here is unmatched. My villa was pure paradise. It was spacious and spotless with a private plunge pool I practically lived in and a hammock with a view where I took the best nap of my life. The bed was comfortable, the outdoor shower refreshing (showering at night with all of nature's sounds was lovely). The best part was quite frankly the view of the Piton and ocean from the pool or porch. It was nothing short of breathtaking. The floating pool tray was a fun experience (though it didn't hold up perfectly). I appreciated the free beach shuttle to Malgretoute (a rocky but very clear and beautiful beach). The complimentary foot massage was unexpected and very welcome, so relaxing! The personal cell phone to the villa was a great touch since there are no landline phones in the room and you can travel outside of the resort with them. While I wish there had been a little more birthday magic, I still had one of the dreamiest stays I've ever experienced. The on-site restaurant was decent. The staff was overall friendly. Our specific ocean view villa didn't have a full kitchenette but we made it work. The only real downside are the hills. It was a workout in itself walking up the hills around the resort. Still, this stay was worth every penny. Keep in mind there are insects around (we saw frogs and lizards) but the hotel states there are no dangerous insects around. I'd highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful and private escape.

My husband and I booked Stonefield Villas for our honeymoon, and we could not be happier with our trip! The property is stunning, exactly shown in pictures if not better! The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Our villa was perfect with a beautiful piton and ocean view. It felt very private which was exactly what we needed. The Mango Tree restaurant onsite is delicious. We did not do the all-inclusive package as we wanted to try other nearby restaurants/resorts, and would recommend doing the same. The resort is very convenient and close to the town of Soufrière, Sugar Beach, Ladera and Rabot Hotel Chocolate resorts, and the sulfur springs. Stonefield provides you with a local cell phone that is great to take with you anywhere on the island with a direct line back to the resort. Stonefield was able to book all our taxis for us around the area and to the airport with their own professional and timely drivers at a fair rate. Could not recommend them enough!

It was a really nice stay, but more rustic than we realized and were prepared for. It was challenging to keep our villa temperature controlled and dining options in the area were limited compared with the north end of the island or other island resorts we’ve stayed at. Also there was some construction being done on the resort so not all options were available.

That being said it was picturesque, the staff were phenomenally friendly, and conveniently located to a number of local sights. It was a good experience but we would likely look for something a little more modern in the future.

I have never left a review before, but this property must receive one! We stayed in the Flamboyant Villa which is a Piton Ocean View Villa if I remember how I booked it correctly! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a personal driver at the airport. He was very easy to spot as our name was on a board. I simply emailed the resort ahead of time to secure the airport transfer. It took about 45 mins to get to Stonefield and once arriving, we were greeted with a welcome drink (local lemonade—to die for!) and a cold hand towel while we got checked in. We then had a driver take us to our villa which was not far away but God forbid we walk there (never on their watch!) When walk into the villa, we were in an open air front porch balcony area with a dining table and hammock with outstanding views of the ocean and pitons. You go through another door and you have a full kitchen, dining room, and living area. This space is not air conditioned but it’s also not open air. It’s like open air but protected if that makes sense. Off to our left, we could exit outdoors to our own private pool with lounge chairs and amazing views. Our bedroom had his and hers closets, a safe, a canopy king size bed, and ice cold AC! We had a large bathroom with a double sink & outstanding outdoor shower! (My husband’s fave!) We were exactly 63 stairs away from the resort’s restaurant, The Mango Tree which we ate at every single day for at least one meal. We met many people who came to eat at Mango Tree!

The restaurant on the resort is way overpriced for the quality of the food. For good/great food at reasonable prices, you need to go outside the resort.

Unfortunately I can not recommend this property. We stayed here after staying a night at Hotel Chocolat and it paled in comparison sadly. The best part is the view and the actual room with your private pool and amazing shower. The grounds are not as lush and beautiful as other locations. The biggest downfall is the food which other reviews said the Mango Tree is great, it is absolutely not. That food is edible but mainly pre cooked and warmed up. The food is not good, I repeat the food is not good. We tried the Thursday Night buffet, breakfast and another dinner. All of our meals here were not seasoned and not good especially for a 700 a night price point. We paid extra for a charcuterie board and a floating breakfast, both barely edible, although we chose not to eat. There are much better options on the island. They are very cheap with the extra details that make a stay magical. Also the floating breakfast trays are small and cheap and cant even hold all the plates they are overlapped. I really hope they improve the food. Also at Mango tree there are no umbrellas over the outside table so the sun was just beaming with no shade whatsoever. I feel this property has potential to be better but unfortunately rely on the beauty of the view to compensate for entire stay. Side note, if you choose to stay here please go eat at Felicitys in Soufriere or Hotel Chocolat to be impressed and safisfied. 700 a night of your hard earned vacation money can be better spent, St Lucia is amazing

Great property to visit if you plan to move around a bit. Very scenic and private, but don't expect to be going to the beach at the resort. Most of the day time we went down to sugar Beach to relax and eat. Margretoute beach was a bit lack luster. Walks are not doable. After whatever we did for the day, back to stonefield. Would like to have more activities to stay on the stonefield resort, more food options and better quality foods for the included breakfast. A public pool not in front of people eating at Mango tree would also be beneficial. Ownership needs to put a little more into it, if they want that all in resort charm back.

Beautiful and very private. Lush garden and wonderful staff. The most stunning view of the Petit Piton from your living room and private infinity pool and ocean view from the porch and bedroom. Dining options were good at the Mango tree restaurant, the Caribbean buffet was the best food we had on the island. Easy transportation arranged by the resort to anywhere. The resort is very convenient to all of the attractions and used some of the tours they offered.
Only con, their website states complementary shuttle to Sugar beach, but it was actually to a different, smaller, more rocky beach.
Would definitely book again.

Honeymoon in St Lucia

We stayed for three nights on our honeymoon, travelling around the island of St Lucia. We were upgraded to the three bedroom Lime Mill, which was absolutely fabulous. We had an amazing view of the Petit Piton, with a great pool and great outdoor space to relax in. Each bedroom was separately air conditioned, but the shared spaces were not. This villa came with a small kitchen and fridge, but we didn't use this facility in the end. The outdoor showers were a bit of a novelty, but worked well.

We loved the breakfasts, the included menu was more than sufficient for us with a great choice of options. We had several lunches and/or dinners at the restaurant too, and these were also really good. Staff were great overall, although there were a couple of slip ups with the wine service, but quickly sorted.

Check-in and parking was very easy, just be aware the driveway is only a single car road with passing places. Google can catch you out, and it's best to put the Mango Tree restaurant into your sat nav so you end up in the right place. Location is amazing with not only the views, but lots of things to do right on your doorstep.

You are effectively in a villa in the forest, so you will see small lizards around. We were lucky enough to see a hummingbird, and there's lots of birds around. We came prepared for mosquitos so no problems there. Do bring bug spray, although we needed it at all hotels on our trip. The sunsets are superb too!

Wonderful and relaxing stay, it’s more for people who want to get away from technology and unplug. No televisions and air only in the bedrooms. Has a nice outdoor shower. All inclusive available but for certain packages we didn’t have an all inclusive option because we stayed for a week and it was expensive. Lots of mosquitos and little lizards bc of the outdoor vibe of the property bring bug spray!!! But overall wonderful and breathtaking experience!!!

Our stay at Stonefield Resort was perfect. This small resort is idyllic and just what we were looking for. It's not ultra lux, but is very well appointed, tranquil, private and very relaxing. We loved the private plunge pool with an amazing view. The beds are very comfortable and we enjoyed the outdoor shower and roomy bathroom. We cherished the AC when it got hot and humid. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The Mango Tree restaurant is excellent. The smallish menu has great options, high quality and great preparation- with a great view! The cocktails are excellent as well. There's nothing like fresh mango at breakfast from one of the trees on the property. The staff is superb and really made our week stay so enjoyable. There are plenty of organized tours to take advantage of and a shuttle to a nice little gem of a beach. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything Stonefield!

We stayed in garden Villa with our own pool. We had a great view of the sea for sunset. Place very friendly and accommodating. You could walk to Soufriere town and to the beach, though very steep. They arranged a bespoke trip for us which was great. Sugar beach a short cab ride away is amazing for snorkelling and swimming. Food was very tasty, we would definitely stay again.

We stayed for 3 nights before Christmas as a family and really liked the front view of the Piton and sea; it’s located near all attractions like piton trails and sulphur hot springs and the town is also only 5 minutes drive away. The villa is big with a pool which is really nice. Only one restaurant with decent food but quite pricey!

It has a fantastic location only 5-10 mins from key spots in Soufriere such as sugar beach, sulphur springs, the waterfalls and amazing restaurants nearby.

The staff are incredible so friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was so fresh and delicious. We loved our stay here a pure tropical paradise!

We treated ourselves to a couples massage and it honestly was the best massage. Sadia is an extremely talented masseuse and felt so relaxed.

Special thanks to Feria as well who was so wonderful. We had the best time in St Lucia here!

Serene location, not a large complex which kept the noise level low. Great view of the Petit Piton and sunsets. Restaurant option was excellent.

This property iself is beautiful, and immaculate. The villas are super clean, well thought out and thus very functional. The staff were top notch and accomidated any and all requests. Not one thing to complain about, not even a little. Do yourself a treat and stay here. Fantastic.

Paid for a room with Piton and ocean view. Checked in to villa with unobstructed views of piton and ocean and great pool. Was told the next morning we had to switch rooms that day. Stonfield staff rude, telling me that when I booked room through Expedia that it came in as a reservation one night in one villa and the remaining nights in the other villa. Explained that this was completely inconvenient to move rooms and now we have to pack our belongings, be late for our excursions and she simply stated \" we move people into different villas all the time.\" She did not care that packing our stuff would make us late for planned things and never once offered to make things right. Then was put into a villa of lesser quality.
Housekeeping cleaned our villa and when we returned they had left the room key right in the lock for anyone yo take our things. Outdoor showers had air temp water at best so you basically had a cold shower at night or am. Went to Sugar Beach Resort for dinner. Was completely impressed by staff and restaurant manager. Totally different feel from staff at Stonefield. Future bookings will be there!

Loved the villa with private pool. Loved the location, central to most excursions, stores, restaurants. Housekeeping was great.
The restaurant would take forever and food would sometimes come warm sometimes cold, no consistency. When we arrived it took almost 2 hours to get into our room and we were asked to get lunch leave luggage and come back, when we came back we had to take our own luggage to our room. I think more training for front desk staff would be helpful.

Would love to return to this property. My favorite thing, the food! The Mangotree restaurant is amazing, fresh and seasoned to perfection. Do yourself a favor and attend the chef presentation. The grounds have a spectacular view no matter what area you area you are standing in. The villas are private and well kept. The excursion options have a little something for everyone or you can just take a minuet to unplug and stay in the villas as well. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Several times they went out of their way for us. Loved it.

Views of Petit Piton are unbeatable, website undersells this old plantation based property, the villas are made of beautiful old hardwood - now unobtainable - ok its not fitted with lots of modern kitchen kit etc but that is the point. Its locally owned and the staff are wonderful, it doesn't have an impersonal international hotel culture. As newcomers to St Lucia, it took us a few days to orientate, but it just got better each day, the perfect place to stay and to base yourself for exploring. The restaurant also has excellent views and the food is consistently very good and mostly very healthy too.

Words cannot describe this amazing property. From the time you arrive, it feels like a tropical paradise! The views are spectacular, and the accommodations are quaint, clean, and spacious. I couldn’t ask for more. The villas are beautiful, with outdoor seating, including hammock, and The rocking chairs were an added touch to watch the sunset each evening. I never really wanted to leave my villa, However, I managed to drag myself away each day for lovely meals at the mango tree restaurant on property. The food was fresh and delicious! The menu offers items to please any pallet. The best part of all, is that the chef went out of his way to find out what I liked, and tailored some of my meals to my description. I was blown away with the flavors. My suggestion is to make sure you make your needs known. The staff is amazing, and they go above and beyond to make sure that you enjoy your meals, and frankly everything else on the resort. The staff members are present, but never in the way. The resort has a way of making you feel as if you have the whole place to yourself. The best advice that I can give to any traveler to this area of St. Lucia, is to stay at Stonefield ! I can’t stop raving about my trip! I was traveling alone, and Felt extremely safe! The assigned telephone helped to ensure that I could make contact with the hotel from anywhere. The hotel arranged transportation wherever I needed to go. I will be visiting again annually and definitely with friends and family!

A great 3 days

We had an excellent 3 days here. The grounds are really peaceful, the staff are really helpful and the food is really good. The rooms are a bit dated, but it adds to the charm, we went to dinner at nearby hotels as well and prefer the vibe of Stonefield.
