My stay at La Haut was great! The room was very spacious with amazing views of the bay and the pitons. The resort was conveniently located close to attractions like the waterfall and Sulphur Springs. I got the chance to meet the owner Joe, and he was very welcoming at his house in the resort where the infinity pool with the views of the pitons was. Joe was very friendly, and after a random invitation, I spent more than half of a day there laughing, cracking jokes and enjoying some drinks with him and his friends! I recommend this resort to anyone who wants to stay in Soufriere! Find attached some pictures I took with my drone!

The views are incredible! The owner we met and is so kind and generous! The infinity pool looks great! The place is a little tired in areas and the kitchenette and bed were clean. The restaurant is privately owned and the chef was really friendly but some other staff let it down and the food quality. Breakfast we had a selection of fruits, 2 eggs and a pastry along with tea & coffee. The on-site animals are friendly, except the cats. We loved the horse and donkey, fed them every day!

The property has the most amazing view of the Pitons. Relaxing in the infinity pool in the afternoon and evening and looking at the Pitons was so amazing. The property itself is a little old and rundown, but taking care of very well and very well maintained.. if you’re looking for a true Caribbean experience and not just staying in an all-inclusive place like sandals than this is definitely the place for you. If I ever go back to St. Lucia again, I would go to this resort every time the staff and the owner were so friendly.. like I said if you want a real Caribbean experience this resort and the town of Soufrière is where you wanna be.

The balcony was awesome with views of the Gros and Petite Pitons and beautiful Caribbean Sea. Around the rooms there were mango trees with large amounts of fruits hanging that was delicious. The restaurant food was very good that served breakfast and dinner. The infinity pool and the view is quite amazing. We met the owners who were very friendly and they shared some of their local rum. The owner also cultivates a large amount of quail and eggs. We will definitely stay there again.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The other reviews on google are so all over the place cus they have off main property location they will send you to that is down a long winding dangerous road. They will claim, you picked that room type, but since they don't list this issue online, how could one pick this horrible location.

The setting is wonderful, the views breathtaking and the bed was really comfortable. The general ambience is pretty dilapidated which is charming… but some paint and maintenance wouldn’t go amiss and the room and bathroom facilities are very basic and haven’t been updated in decades. The breakfast was adequate, though there was no fruit juice and the coffee was pretty undrnkable. Would we return? Yes! The staff were fun, the vibe was shabby chic.

The view is spectacular. Our first room was small but clean and adequate. We were then upgraded to a large beautiful room. The staff were excellent, they go home at 5, then the security are around to help if needed. The pool was terrific. The restaurant on site is not affiliated but a voucher is given for breakfast. Breakfast was great but dinner needed improvement. We had a great experience overall.

The reception area looked run down, the pools which were the main reason for booking are not safe to swim in because they are dirty. The room needs major updating work. On the plus side the food at the restaurant was excellent; the chef and staff very pleasant and professional.

We stayed 4 nights at La Haut and it was simply wonderful. So private and quiet, the plantation style buildings and main house are beautiful, but the grounds and views are exquisite. All staff were helpful and friendly. The infinity pool was lovely, with panoramic vistas that are just breathtaking! The restaurant on the property was also very good. Delicious food, good service, and also incredible views. Comfortable 4 post bed, all conveniences in room, plus an amazing deck overlooking the Pitons from your own hammock. We will definitely be back. If you are looking for a romantic getaway that is unique from a traditional hotel experience, this is the place.

It was a great location, easy to find, and peaceful. It is just up the hill from Soufriere. Resort has amazing views and friendly staff. The restaurant serves great food. Cottage was nice and bed was comfortable. Definitely recommend you have a rental car. Some of the property grounds were run down but staff was working on that while we were there.

STAY AWAY! This place is nasty, dusty, dirty, old, dilapidated and filthy. Tye bathroom was disgusting and moldy and the towels had brown stains. The entrance to the room was a busted double door that was secured only by a latch and from outside you can literally see inside the room through the spaces in the door. The entire premises is just nasty and unkempt. We didn’t even unpack our bags, we called Expedia immediately and they found us another hotel to stay.

When we arrived they couldn’t find our reservation, then the property itself looks like it is in disrepair, the pool is about a kilometre or more downhill from the rooms and at the owners house. Overall the property has a lot of potential, like if you could book the owners house itself that might be worth it, the staff were nice. I will not go back.

La Haut Resort was a fantastic place to stay. The room was large, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The food was delicious and all of the staff were super friendly and helpful. One of the best spots is the infinity pool that overlooks Soufriere. It is gorgeous, especially at sunset. You would either need a car, taxi, or shuttle to get to town/the attractions. It was very close to getting to everything by car - I wouldn't recommend walking to town as there are no sidewalks. We had no issues since we had a rental and I imagine there are Ubers around to take you. You can absolutely hangout at the pools all day!

We chose to stay at La Haut for its stunning views, and it truly delivered. The panoramic scenery, especially down at the infinity pool, felt like something from a 5-star resort. The view from our room in Cashew 2 was equally impressive, making it one of the most breathtaking locations on the island.

That said, the resort does need some updates. While our sheets were clean, they were stained and in clear need of replacement, which might bother some guests. Check-in closes 4pm which is really early. We already knew this so were prepared, but there were not enough towels in our room as they never stored them for the pool. We had two rooms, and one of the rooms ac did not work well. There were a couple issues and no one there to address them. The staff did not really care what your issues were. The rooms were below average. The best thing about the property is the views. The views were unbeatable, especially at the infinity pool and during breakfast. The only reason to recommend this place is for it's views if you are ok with below average rooms. It's pricey considering the rooms you get but the views make it worth it.

Where do I start. Someone else's hair was in the shower,ants wete all over the counter and floor. Dead mushed mosquitoes on the lamp shades and side tables. The toiletries were half used and I'm currently hiding and will be sleeping in the bathroom for the night because I just saw a bat in my room and no one has responded back. Gorgeous properly and awesome staff. Beautiful views, first class hospitality and everyone is so accommodating and helpful. The only thing I would say is the wifi isn’t super reliable for working remotely if you have to do video conferences, but we made it work. The staff was willing to reset the router when I asked and helpful with so many other things. Truly an exceptional experience and our favorite stay of our trip.

I arrived at the property as a solo female traveller and there was no one there. There was no security on gate and the office was locked up. This was at approx 4.40 on a Saturday afternoon. There were a few people in a seperate bar area but they said hotel nothing to do with them and ignored me. Luckily taxi driver waited with me for approx 30 but in end took me to another hotel. I was devastated after over 18 hours travelling. More over life reported this to Expedia and they have still not refunded me even though I had to book another hotel through them for the night at over $300

Ok, so we only stayed here because our flight got cancelled and almost everything else was already booked. It beat sleeping on the airport floor. That said, La Haut is not a “resort” by any stretch of the imagination. It needs some serious TLC and I would not stay there again. Nevertheless, the view was beautiful and the food at the restaurant was delicious. We made the best of it.

The restaurant was decent, they actually had some alright vegetarian options on the menu. Nothing special though and a bit pricey.

The property itself was nice, and had great views and good outdoor facilities. The location was a short car ride to restaurants and a few beaches. But our room was pretty shabby, oddly laid out, and not particularly clean. The refrigerator leaked, and outlets didn't work in the bathroom and the walls were very thin (we could hear every move anyone made above us). The restaurant was very medicore, but had a great view. The restaurant and housekeeping staff were very nice, but the woman in reception was not at all helpful. All in all a very mixed bag.

The location and views were amazing. It was not conveniently located, but it did not matter, as i had a car. The room was large, quiet, and very comfortable! The staff was pleasant. Great mini fridge. The only issue was the toilet. You had to ensure the tank adequately filled up before flushing. Sometimes the rubber piece attached to the chain the the tank did not properly cover the valve, so the tank did not fill. It was an easy fix. I will visit again and i will recommend friends and family to visit there!!

There were many quail in small cages, which chirped every time the dog barked. At 10:30 that evening I drove up to the office, which was closed and no one to talk to. The security guard told me it was the owner’s dog. He said it is an ongoing problem. He also said he “could not talk to the owner then “because he was sleeping.”
The following morning, we packed up and told the office we were leaving and wanted a refund. Not only did they refuse, and did not so much as apologize, but claimed that we “were the first to ever complain about the dog.” We know this to be false because both the security guard and a server in the restaurant said it has been an ongoing issue for some time. We have since seen other reviews mentioning the barking as well.
We were treated badly by this hotel, with no sense of them trying to make it right. We have since been working on a refund through Expedia and our credit card company. The hotel has stonewalled and even hung up the phone on them.

The staff and property was nice. Plenty parking space and beautiful views. The rooms were clean and spacious. The downside is that theres so many mosquitos and you can hear the chickens and roosters all night long. Breakfast is included but there’s one waiter and 1 cook which took a long time (about an hour) just to be served because there were other tables to tend.

The best part of this specific resort stay was the view from one of the 3 cashew rooms and the view from the Infiniti pool (very close to cashew rooms). We came for this reason and it delivered 100%. The cashew room was also spacious with a huge balcony. The biggest let down of the place was the restaurant. There are many better and more reasonably priced options around. You will want a car if staying here as nothing is really walkable nearby.

My stay at La Haut was an amazing experience, I loved every minute of it, the staff at the hotel, and the grounds were breathtaking. My friends got married at La Haut and I stayed here my first night, to be close to the wedding. I’m still in awe at the views, this experience was so serene. I needed a late checkout as I was checking into Coconot Bay Resort with the wedding party after my stay at La Haut and the staff was so easily accommodating. I would stay here again. The owner of the restaurant had a great hand in my experience as well, as he and a few other guests at the hotel were really nice during my stay. The menu at the hotel could use an expansion but the owner definitely has some really great ideas. I took photos to show other viewers my experience.
