We had to wait 10 min for our room to be ready and they got us a bottle of wine just for that. They apologized more than 10 times, chased us down to give us the key, and even apologized again at our checkout. you don't get this kind of service in the US.

Bad experience staying

We had two times of staying at Park Hyatt Seoul this year. The first time staying at the hotel we had a issue with double charges. Recent trip we booked 2 rooms for the family trip. However one of the room had the issues with plumbing for the several times and no heater for both rooms at night when the temperature was -4 degree Celsius. I did report to the concierge at the hotel but a hotel manager gave us one free breakfast meal with all those causes. All our family had to suffered with cold symptoms for several days. We have never expected 5 star rated hotel's staying with bad compensation from trouble staying.

This is a wonderful hotel. Rooms are great. Excellent facilities - the pool and gym had amazing views. Room was extremely comfortable. The ground floor entrance hall is very basic, small, and you are greeted by the hotel staff (bell service, help with elevators, taxis, etc). You then take the elevator up to the top floor to check in at the small true lobby, which is attached to a very nice cafe room and lounge where you can sit and have tea or food. Then you have to take another elevator back down to your room. The hotel is relatively small despite being 24 floors. There are only maybe 8-10 rooms per floor (or less). So there was not a lot of elevator waiting - at worst a couple minutes for elevators, usually less. The staff is all wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The downsides: this area is undergoing massive construction at basically all hours. Not terribly loud but definitely some background noise. It is also along extremely busy streets. The neighborhood is not really the heart of Seoul either - it is much more of a mall/convention center or business area - far from the real heart of Seoul, a 30 minute cab ride or 30-40 minutes on subway. The food and drinks are very expensive, like to get a cup of coffee in the lounge was something like 15,000 won which is over 10$. THere is no real lobby bar - just a lounge underground. The breakfast was amazing though. 58,000 won for the buffet, but probably worth it for the variety of great things

MOST INCONVENIENT HOTEL.

To check I , one need to take elevator 4 to the 24th floor after check in you need to take elevator 1 down to your floor. You need to go to 24th floor each time you leave and enter the hotel. HOW INCONVENIENT!!
Terrible set up. Only one roll of toilet paper and only one box of tissue. Breakfast buffet looked artistic and fancy, but no substance. Just pretty looking food. Terrible, worst hotel.

Staff are uniformly friendly and eager to please. View was incredible and we didn't mind the hearing the hum of a big, busy city. Location is fine for exploring Gangnam (we'd already stayed on the other side of the river) but the construction in front of the hotel does make it difficult for taxis. Make sure to ask for a taxi card to show your driver. 24-hour room service is great. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and yes, the elevator system is maddening. A grand hotel should have a grand lobby. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

World Class, Amazing Hotel

I'm well traveled and have stayed at other Park Hyatts around the world. Park Hyatt Seoul is world class every step of the way. The airline lost our luggage and some museum posters we had purchased. The staff at the Park Hyatt went out of their way to contact the museum, re-purchase the artwork and send me new copies in the mail via courier service. They went the extra mile and deserve a world's best title. Stay here and you will be treated top notch. Mind blown. Big Hugs.

It was my first trip to Seoul last December and my stay at the Park Hyatt made it a very memorable one.

I arrived in Seoul early in the morning, feeling a bit jetlagged. Check-in time was 3 pm and the hotel told me they will notify me if the room will be available earlier. So I decided to go on a quick walking tour of the area and kill 6 hours. But before I was able to step out of the hotel, they called me and they had a beautiful corner room readily available for me.

On the day, I checked out, I lost my credit card. The staff called 2 stores I went to and found my card.

These little things they do out of their way is just amazing. The service is impeccable.

Our room was too dark, no option to turn on extra lights. I understand your trying to create a mood but sometime we want to see things clearer. Desk is also missing a seat.
The main problem is the A/C, its either too warm or cold, fan is noisy (only on or off, not variable), the air coming out is either cold or off, poor system. It doesn't mix cool with warm air.
Closet lights do not turn off.

My stay at Park Hyatt Seoul was quite disappointing. The staff at the check-in desk was quite defensive and inflexible forehand even though I did not demand anything. The room was dated. It might have been luxurious in 2005 when opened, not anymore now. Sauna capacity is quite limited. Lastly, food here was not impressive.

Just fantastic. An expectedly solid 5-star experience in every way. Amazingly beautiful hotel design, luxurious and thoughtful amenities, and very gracious staff. The location is just ok, however. Subway station right in front of the hotel makes it very easy to get around all of Seoul, it will just take you a little longer to get to most tourist attractions on the other side of the river. That's the ONLY downside. Subway station is connected to COEX and Parnas malls which are easily accessible by 10-15 minute walk.

Booked a room with my wife and older children. As any normal person would expect we expected two beds. There was only one. The staff moved in a roll away bed but still three people was uncomfortable. To top it all off is there is no way to have privacy in the shower. The sliding door is glass so you couldn't get any privacy. The room would be great for a couple but not for a family.

Second time staying at the hotel. Stellar service from the hotel staffs. Consistent in service and delivery from its concierge, housekeeping, in room dining to its front desk staff. Every detail was well taken care off, and staffs going beyond their call of duty in requests outside their scope of work. Despite the years the hotel has been developed, the building and rooms are still well maintained living up to the standards of 5 star hotels. Location is close to COEX and excellent access to the airport terminal for travellers and business people. Will return again.

2 rooms. one for grandma, one for our family of four. Went to busan, then when we returned, one of the managers said they can't do 4 in a room due to fire code. I'm not sure if this is correct. Need to see the fire code. Regardless, other staff were all great as expected for two rooms for two weeks. Lower floor definately noisier at 8th vs 22nd. Pool was beautiful but small. Buffets are very good quality. Limo guy polite. Next time I come please let me know What room can hold 2 adults and 2 kids so family of 4 can stay together on a trip?

the place to stay in Seoul

This is first time I have been to Seoul for other than business. The Park Hyatt is one terrific hotel. Great multilingual service staff, excellent wifi, super clean and comfortable room/bed with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows across the room and the large bathroom with separate soaking tub that all overlook the city. Hotel car entrance is hidden and the top floor lobby can be a bit confusing but easy to adopt to. Hotel is away from the museums, palaces and markets but next to subway entrance (very efficient and clean subway) and taxis are cleaner more comfortable and half the price of a NYC cab. Very close to city satellite Incheon Airport check-in and express bus which is a real plus. Also close to excellent shopping.

The service here is stellar. Efficient, attentive to detail is obviously a big part of this hotel's high cost. The day staff were superb in helping us to gather information about where we were going. Cleaning staff won't leave a single hair overlooked. So while we were at first tentative about the price, in the end we felt highly well cared for and would happily return.
