I stayed here for three days, and it was a terrible experience. In my first room, I found large cockroaches coming out of the AC vent. The manager told me a leak in empty mall spaces connected to the hotel had caused humidity and may have pushed the roaches to the upper floors. He promised me a refund, but I never received it.
They moved me to a second room, and when I checked under the mattress, I found a strange liquid stain that looked like blood. Between the roaches and the condition of the second room, I was extremely uncomfortable.
Please be careful if you stay here. Check the AC vents, under the bed, and under the mattress. Seeing roaches during the day is usually a very bad sign. I have pictures, and I am not making this up

The hotel is fine. Nice spacious room and very clean. We were at the 7th floor, quiet and nobody walking on top of us. Breakfast is great.
Housekeeping is non existent. Asked multiple times to have at least new towels and we ended up having to get them by ourselves every day.
Front desk is courteous but not efficient. Last day before leaving they assured us that the parking was paid (it’s not included but we knew it ahead) and the ticket to exit had a QR code to open the gate, but we had to go back to the front desk (the garage is underground and it’s shared with multiple businesses) and have a new QR code.
The best thing is that the hotel has direct access to the metro. So it’s convenient to travel downtown

Positives: The staff was friendly, and breakfast was great.

However, the rooms had a very musty smell and felt very damp. The shower also had a ring in the bottom to where it didn't appear clean, and the drain was backed up so water pooled around my feet. Right outside our hotel room there was a stack of old pizza boxes that was there nearly our whole stay. The stairway also smelt AWFUL.

Pool is being used for outside classes - not open to hotel guests except select times. Property looked like it was under construction. Staff was nice, however.

The location is not bad but not great, yes, there is a metro station but if you have little kids, you will be roughly an hour away from the National Mall, we were glad we drove. Parking was very confusing, it is shared with Trader Joe’s and other pavilion businesses - would have been helpful to have a sign notifying guests that they may park anywhere. Getting into the lobby from the parking was confusing, too. It didn’t feel very safe because there are all sorts of random people all over the place. Front desk people were nice but nobody tried to go out of their way to impress anyone. They offer complimentary happy hour and breakfast and have to hand out these manually cut out vouchers which looked kiddish. Happy hour is a nice touch but that whole bar area could be modernized. Breakfast is plentiful, all the staff working it is top notch. The room itself was alright: the bedroom was unreasonably huge while the bathroom, hallway and living room were tiny. We were three female adults with two little kids and it felt like we were on top of each other in the common areas. The fridge didn’t shut so the condensation was maddening. There were two cups to usefor coffee or tea, would be nice if there were plastic cups for like five for water or whatever. It would be nice to have more hooks in the bathroom, more hangers for the closet and coat area. Would be nice to have a rug in the bedroom. There were stains on the curtains, couch, sheets. There was an old gum under the night table.

This hotel has everything you need. It is connected to the Metro, the breakfast is incredible with the best omelette I ever had and the kids loved the pool and hot tub. The staff was great too. You can’t beat all that for the amazing price for a nice family weekend away. We will be back.

The main areas were nice and clean and up to date. However, my room was old with chip paint in the tub they painted over which made the bathtub look dirty. I had to run and buy bath mats to take a shower. The elevators were always not working causing the entire hotel to use one elevator.

Laundry room was filthy, to go food everywhere. No quarter machine, sign said to go to front desk but they never had any. Told to go to the arcade in the mall but they were closed. Booked this hotel mainly because it has an indoor pool. The hotel rents out the pool to some swimming class several hours a week on different days. Nowhere is that stated on Expedia or their hotel website. If I’m booking a hotel I should have access to all amenities or be informed on the closure. Arrived a few hours early and asked if we can pay to check in early. The morning front desk agent said yes but it will be another hour before I can get into the room. He gave us breakfast passes and we went to eat. When we came back about 45 min later he was gone for the day and the new front desk employee said she would get us to a room shortly. 5 hours later we still don’t have a room. The lady left for break and the manager came over to us and asked if we needed anything. I told him a room we were told we would get 5 hours ago and he said no problem. He didn’t know why they didn’t check us in but said he would figure it out. Never heard from him the rest of the 3 day stay. Last day at 9:15 am, and hour and 45 min before checkout a person opened the door while knocking to clean the room. She walked in on my 16 year old son changing in the room. I love Hilton properties, but the need to pull their name off this location.

This hotel is located right across the street from the train so it was super easy to get to all areas of Washington DC. There is also a Trader Joe’s next door if anything is needed. However, it needs a big remodel. The tub was peeling, shower head was about to fall off, beds were hard and the floor was dirty when we checked in. Only 1 elevator was working so you had to take the stairs. Be careful because the stairs had puke in them and smelled so bad. When we went to the pool the first time there were no towels. We called the front desk and they told us they wouldn’t send any up but instead we had to go down 9 floors to get them. This hotel is good for location but if you want something clean and updated go somewhere else.

This is an older hotel which has some expected issues but overall is a reasonable value for the area. The free happy hour drinks and snacks were a nice surprise and the included breakfast was very good. Room was dated, but clean. Housekeeping was good. Noise insulation was fair to poor, especially concerning outside noise. My biggest complaint was the parking policy. The hotel uses a local parking garage and \"validates\" your parking ticket so you can go in and out as much as you like. But they charge you $30/day and a $5.40/day parking tax for this \"validated\" parking. If you are only in/out once per day, you are much better off just paying at the garage. The hotel needs to clarify this with their guests. When they told me that would \"validate\" my parking, to me that means you don't have to pay for it.

Strongly recommend their wide options of breakfast.

Breakfast was great. The omlete station was amazing. The staff at the restaurant was super nice. The manager does a supurb job. The evening reception has several mixed drinks you could chose from, beers, wine, and light snacks. The hot tub was nice and hot. The pool was warm. The front staff and house cleaning were accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and large enough to spread out our bags. The location is right above a metro which made travel to the national mall easy. There are several good restaurants within walking distance. Trader joes is in the same building so you can grab snacks for the room. Overall, one of the best hotels Ive stayed in. I would definitely recommend for families.

Room and property were clean, but minor maintenance is needed in a lot of areas. Elevators and escalators out of service more than once. Shower doors not installed correctly. Bathroom had been converted to a sliding door that had the incorrect locking mechanism, so it didn’t latch or lock. Shower did not drain well. Outlets were so worn that most didn’t work properly with chargers. TV remote and TV didn’t work well in one of the rooms (fine in the other). Good luck getting any issues addressed. We were there 3 days and were never able to get wash cloths. We were ignored the first 2 days. When we went to the front desk ourselves, they would only give us towels.

The room overall was in okay shape. The bathroom definitely needed a deep cleaning. There were hairs in the sink and in the corner by the toilet as well as something splattered on the wall. The bedding was clean, but around the bed area was very dusty on the floor. Appeared as though the focus was linens and counter tops, but not much detail to other areas. The trash cans didn't have trash bags which would make for more clean up in my opinion. Not much interaction with any staff, but the ones that I did talk to were very kind. Breakfast was a good as well as the evening reception. Overall, I'd rate this a 3/5 for my stay, but would most likely not stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but here was only one person at the reception desk, making for long waits. There was no bottled water. The rooms are overdue a makeover. Due to the open atrium, it’s very noisy. The revolving door was non functioning. Breakfast omelette were good! Very few amenities. The best thing about the hotel was its location near friendship heights. I do not think I’ll stay here again.

All I wanted to do was go from the hotel to the Washington Capitals Arena as fast as I could, and the lady at the desk had no idea she pulled out a map and sent me 25 minutes in the wrong direction by the time I got back I missed most of the game which cost me $300 otherwise the hotel was nice and in great condition and we loved staying there and it was a good value

All the outlets in the main area didn’t work. I had to make my coffee in the bedroom or in the bathroom. Couldn’t use that to its potential.
The initial communication through text from Sindy was a waste of time. First she claimed they didn’t have a pool, then she said she didn’t know. Come to find out it was on the top floor. And half of my stay, the pool was occupied for swimming lessons. I came to the hotel with 3 children. The pool area accumulates water and it’s entirely too slippery on tile. Everyone kids who were WALKING were cracking their heads on the tile.

The bathroom was filthy. When the room was supported on our second day, the used coffee grounds were spilled in the middle of the living area.
The public bar was completely out of liquor. The escalator was out of service.
For a hotel in an elite area of the Nation’s Capital, this was a great disappointment. It was very unkept and dirty.

The whole building feels like a landlord lipstick makeover. Interactions with staff were generally unpleasant including a restaurant worker complaining loudly to another worker 20 feet away about the patrons. I only booked this specific hotel for the indoor pool and it is off limits to hotel patrons several days a week for several hours at a time, generally prime swim time for a toddler. After the classes are over the pool is then full of children who are more or less unsupervised. The pool, hot tub, and water were incredibly dirty with actual particles of dirty and clumps of hair floating around in it. The room was weirdly hid (it's winter time) and hot despite the thermostat being 65F. The traffic outside meant we couldn't leave the windows open. Beds are hard. Pillows cheap. Spare blankets clearly unwashed. Water in bathroom sink wouldn't get hot. Faucet for tub was loose and moved a lot. Toilet handle was broken.

The bathtub had been painted and the paint was peeling off everywhere and it was laying in the tub and when I showered, it was sticking to my feet. It was disgusting. The whole bathroom was quite old and in disrepair. The elevator didn’t work. It was hard to navigate around from the hotel to the outside and the parking areas there is no good signage to direct to the hotel from the parking area, the pool was extremely cloudy and the hot tub wasn’t hot and it was all foam. It was disgusting and it left a film on your body. Not a very good experience for a Hilton location.

Overall, it was a very good experience! The breakfast buffet offered a lot of good choices and the staff were very helpful and attentive. The room was clean and had a mini fridge and microwave. The beds were made daily. The bathtub was a bit worn and not something I would have used, but the shower function was absolutely fine.The location is right above the Friendship Heights metro station, so super convenient for travel. There are also shops and restaurants right outside, as well as a Trader Joe's. I'd come back again!

Breakfast is okay. But the only thing that was truly hot were the omelets freshly made. The sausage, bacon, French toast, and potatoes were room temp. The room I had was 8/10 clean. The bathroom could have been cleaner. I had to get the electrician to lower my temp. I set the thermostat to 66 and it was constantly running at 76-78. After he lower it, I still didn't get below 72. You can not set heat or air. Only auto and off. My toilet didn't flush well, and the remote to the bedroom tv didn't work. For me, the stay was not good just because I couldn't set the temp to what I wanted. I need a cooler room to sleep. But other than that, it was okay

My sheets and pillow had black dye on them. Gross. The shower wouldnt drain which limited a shower. The girl at the front desk didn't activate my room keys so i had to go back down to the lobby. I ordered dinner, burgers were amazing, but the buffalo wings tasted like someone poured salt on them. I had someone else try them too and they spit it out. I brought it back and asked for a differnt style, the chef said that all the wings were seasoned in salt and pepper they just add sauce. My sister had the bbq wings and hers were fine. But he insisted they would all be that way. I asked for a refund the girl said she couldnt do it because she didn't know how. The chef told me they were selling wings all day with 0 complaints but everyone has different tastes... IT TASTED LIKE SOMEONE WAS BEING FUNNY AND POURED SALT ALL OVER THE WINGS. I told him just forget it, then he offered me something else. I got a salad which was very good. On my way out, the same girl at the desk didnt properly validate my parking and I looked crazy holding up the line and had to call an attendant which took MORE time...not a good experience at all. I gave it a 3 because the morning cooks were very nice.

The free drinks at happy hour were a welcome surprise; however, there wasn't much food included (just potato chips and tortilla chips, salsa, and cheese). They ran out of oatmeal at the breakfast buffet. With a bit of prodding, they were kind enough to make more. One of our party follows a plant-based diet, and the plant-based options at breakfast were limited.

People laughing and yelling in front of my door. Hotel rooms all face an open center so it’s like a big echo chamber.
Complained about the noise at 1am and at 5 am. Staff did respond but overall not a pleasant experience.
Every movie is $25. Bring your laptop and stream.

We were expecting a better experience , there are no vending machines, the restaurant was closed. All the shops were closed and empty. There are holes in the ceiling of the lobby. The whole hotel smelled like Marijuana. I dont mean a hint of smell. It was thick.
The room was average nothing special. Guest services were pleasent and helpful. The breakfast crew and cleaning crew were very friendly and wonderful.

This hotel is very convenient - attached to Friendship Heights metro station, lots of walkable places nearby, easy Uber pickup spots. However the hotel itself needs updating and some care. Phones in the room didn't work, so we had to walk down late at night to reception for pillows and blankets for the pull out bed. The pull out beds are very old so be aware if you plan to sleep on one, they don't have mattress pads either to help. Noisy outside the hotel with the \"atrium\" style: you can hear them setting up the breakfast buffet starting at 4:30am. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast buffet and omelette station was great.
