Good shopping Nesto super market with a department store and parking. The hotel was a calming place during a stressful time with excellent staff in reception Yeon and Jan. We had half board and we were catered for very well for breakfast the staff for the evening meal went above and beyond. We stayed in room 419 the cleaners always made sure our room was spotless and checked if we needed anything. Nothing was too much trouble even when checking out to go to the airport they promised us they to keep our if it was needed due many fight cancelations.

We were given a room that had a leakage from the top floor room and the bathroom was smelling dumb throughout our stay. The hotel managed to changed our room on the last night of our stay.

The hotel is what it is & you get what you pay for - an older dated property that could do with some upgrades but generally ok for what we needed.

The corridors by the rooms smell badly of mould and my bathroom in room 238 had a stink drain smell in it. The drawer labelled hair dryer also didn't have a hair dryer in it.

Wifi was low signal quality.

Pool area was ok but the steps leading up to it need repairs and maintenance too.

I couldn't hear it but there are 2x nightclubs on the ground floor and a haur salon which was awesome.

The staff were generally kind and helpful doing their best to assist with our requests etc. Ok for mid range older property.

Another Great Stay at MERCURE GOLD, Dubai

From the point of arrival all staff were very helpful and accommodating. I enjoyed a lovely upgrade in room type, which is always a lovely surprise and treat.
I ate at the hotel and found the food to be of good quality and well priced.
A particular mention to Preeti on reception, who’s smile lights up reception.

Expedia members are very bad people and very bad customer service, they don’t have any way to contact them ( no phone number, no email).
They put a wrong phone number on UAE.
I recommend that no one try to make a reservation through the Expedia .

Didn’t like the way their staff treated us. They gave us a smoking room where I have 2 young children and they had to sleep in a room that stunk of smoke, and their staff thought we were stealing their towels. It’s ridiculous. They need some customer service training.

Loved everything about the location of this property. TONS of dining options nearby. Staff was AMAZING, especially the gentlemen taking care of our luggage. Great guides and you must ask them about exploring Dubai! You wont be disappointed. Room was large, cool, and cleaned evey day. Can't say enough nice things about this hotel and the staff. Acceptable but needs improvement.

An OK hotel if you are on a budget and need to be in this particular area.
It has a ground floor nightclub on the North side (right hand side upon entry) and it can be heard in the rooms above on that side. If possible, book a room on the South side and on floors 3 or 4.
Food is acceptable, breakfast being the best. Lunch and dinner can be hit or miss.
Staff are very helpful but let down by management.

Check in process was very slow. Did not get access to room until 5.20pm despite arriving and dropping bags at 7.30am. Was told room would be ready by 1.30-2.00pm. Towels not available at pool or gym. Struggled to get towels in room. Could do with sanitiser spray bottles and towels in gym to clean equipment.

Called ahead and tried to request a certain room I was in the previous time, but were not able to accommodate and the hotel interior had a musty smell that seemed to be from the AC or something… tried airing it out, but wasn’t able to the entire 4 days I was there. If you like nightclubs under your room this is the place for you. Can’t fault the room itself, it was lovely but imagine a brand name hotel chain with a nightclub downstairs on a Wednesday night thumping music and hearing the DJ yelling come on come on let’s go let’s go.

location was a bit out of the way, particularly for the evenings, especially as a solo traveler, outside seating area to the front of the hotel could be more purposeful, personal for hotel guests - pool was too small with limited seats and towels - they were actually cleaning the dirt from the pool tiles with both a scrubbing brush and metal brush whilst pool was still in use!!! having approached the reception manager about this, who then attended with me to see this, the pool was then cordoned off for approx twenty minutes whilst the filters were cleaned. even though my name and room number were taken, nothing ever came of this!!! i did NOT use the pool again after this. the room was ample but, the musty/damp smell was awful, to the point that although hot at night i had to open the window !!! having spoken to other guests - my room was not the only one like this. breakfast was good, varied and staff were both helpful and accessible. the 'free' shuttle service to both the beach and the Dubai mall, only ran one way!!! which i find bizarre !!!! if you rely on airplane mode on your phone then taxi's back can be a problem to source!!!

Nice hotel, I requested early check-in and it was accommodated by the front line staff. Spacious rooms and facilities. Swimming pool and gym. Some nearby restaurants Walkable distance and small malls. Shuttle service is only twice a day morning and afternoon one way only. Also there was return shuttle to Dubai Mall which was good for day out and shopping. La Mer beach is only 10 mind taxi ride. Local taxi are cheaper and meter starting from AED 5 . I mostly took taxi as no metro nearby. Overall great experience and beautiful rooftop views and ambience.

Not great. Wouldn’t recommend.

The hotel is tired and needs a good revamp. The staff were slow. I was ignored at least twice when trying to gain assistance. The reception staff were rude with one lady holding up her hand, answering the phone whilst mid check in.

The shower water was cold, there was ash all over the floor (even though my room was apparently non-smoking).

This is not a 4 star hotel.

Our stay was completely to your liking. Nice and welcoming staff. Satisfy every wish. Very kind. This was our 2nd stay at the hotel and we are very satisfied. In terms of facilities, I do have some comments such as: the shower tap that did not work optimally and the bath in my daughter's room did not work. Although we assumed that it would be resolved if we complained about it. We were outside more than inside so we left it that way. We always got a very clean and tidy tidy room on return. We also enjoyed the pool. We will definitely choose Mercure again. Thanks to all staff. Greetings from the Netherlands.

It was worse experience as there was no booing confirmation with hotel…it took more time for check-in
They have not parked car in the hotel parking & it was outside in 40deg.C
The TV remote was not working… there was direct room service call… it use to thru reception & they delay the things… no proper voice on calls…

Fantastic location just beside hypermarket and resturants. Good food options whennu cross the road at very resonable price. A short throw away is an array of shops and restaurants. Hotel staff were very friendly and super helpful. The rooms were big no super view but adequate for the price i paid. Staff kept providing amenities towels and bottled water whenever i asked. Room was cool and ideal. Gym was good the pool was small at the rooftop but nicely kept. The best part is the free shuttle to dubai mall, premium outlet mall - this is a must if you like shopping. Shop here first before paying alot at dubai mall. Also free shuttle to laer beach and mercato mall. Will definetly come again to this hotel. Only setback is that it is not near metro but taxi are reasonable in Dubai andI used them alot.

The hotel stay and staff are very friendly, breakfast was good, parking is super easy and convenient, rooms are clean and room service is great, bed was comfortable, bathrooms are clean and all basic necessities were available, if any shortcomings, by calling reception it was provided (slippers). I would stay here again without a second thought.
Access to roadways is easy, low traffic zone, plenty of walkable restaurants options available, plenty of hotels around the area, there are two grocery stores, and a laundry in just few meters from the hotel. Overall it’s a good place for business, couples and family with children travelers

Overall the hotel and facilities are great but there are multiple clubs in the ground floor. Though we were on the second floor you could hear the music till 3am! So if you are going to stay with family i would definitely not suggest it.

He provided so many wonderful recommendations. We also found the location to be very good. There are many good restaurants within walking distance and many grocery stores.

At the check in I got the smoking room so I complained and they immediately gave me non-smoking room and apologize. So this was ok. I was on the second floor and first night it was super loud music from the restaurant I came to hotel little before midnight so I wanted to sleep but I couldn't until the music stopped I think that was at 3am. But next 8 days was music more quite or I didn't hear music at all.

My room was big but I had a feeling it was a little bit outdated room but if you more or less sleep only in the room you will not mind it. And I had better looking rooms in 3 stars hotels in some part of Asia than this 4 star hotel.

I didn't understand cleaning services I put the sign to clean my room when I went out at 8am and come back at 5pm and the room was still not cleaned right after I came to my room cleaning service came. I really don't understand why they don't clean rooms in the morning. This happened few times.

For the location bus stop is very close and form this stop you can come to many places, beach is not so far away and hotel have shuttle once a day at 10:30am for me this was too late because at that time is getting really hot.

But overall was a good hotel.
