I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it did not live up to its 5-star rating. Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet mainly features South Asian dishes, which is absolutely fine—but this should be clearly mentioned on their website so guests know what to expect. The buffet staff themselves were very kind and welcoming, but the lack of transparency beforehand was disappointing. Front Desk Service: The front desk service was the most frustrating part of the stay. Almost every request was met with “come tomorrow” or “we’re working on it,” and then the next staff member would claim there was no note or record of the issue. When I called about our broken kettle, they said they would send a replacement, but no one ever showed up. The following day I was told they already knew it wasn’t workingu and simply had no replacement available. It felt like no one was actually attending to guests’ needs. The only person who truly helped was Padma. Near the end of our stay, we mentioned the kettle situation to her directly and she immediately took care of it. Her service was the one bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience. Housekeeping: Housekeeping staff were polite and did a good job throughout our stay, which I appreciated. Noise Levels:
Before booking,I saw a review mentioning loud music, and I wasn’t sure how accurate that was. After staying on one of the higher floors and still hearing music clearly at night, I can’t imagine how loud it must be on lower floor

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Despite being advertised as a 5-star international property, the breakfast was not international at all. Almost all of the food items were Indian dishes, with very limited variety for other guests. For a hotel of this price range, I expected a proper international breakfast buffet, but it was far from that.

Access to the hotel was also very difficult. The location is inconvenient, and getting in and out of the area required long detours every time. The surrounding streets and neighbourhood did not feel pleasant or suitable for a comfortable stay.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for either leisure or business travel to Dubai. The value for money was extremely poor, and the experience did not match the price or the 5-star rating.

It is Indian natinalities dominance hotel an itd looks like a former 5* hotel run down one the 3* level over the period of time.
The roof bar is still nice with view over downtown Dubai. It's very expensive to have drinks there tho.

La zona está bastante alejada de los sitios turísticos en transporte público, solo se puede ir en taxi. Está en un lugar lleno de gente de india, Pakistán…no hay muchos Supermercados cerca ni restaurantes que te transmitan confianza para comer. El hotel en general está bien pero en cuanto a la insonorización y la limpieza es un poco nula.

Had so many problems I wouldn’t come back tbh it is just weird vibes they be calling the room multiple times asking if we need room service as we didn’t have the number, shower had the worst smell , water was leaking from the bathroom, they gave us a new room no drinks in the fridge, no toothbrushes, shower caps or something like that

Nice hotel the rooms are very spacious with big soaker bath. The rooms had smart tv to stream from phone which is nice. Room service very good quality. The bed is very large like super king but it is comfy but could be better seems to have many layers of toppers that made it a bit lumpy. Apart from that a great comfy stay, friendly helpful staff all around the hotel.

Very good stay - hotel standards very high - staff extremely pleasant at all levels - greeted everyday with a smile at breakfast in the restuarant by Kusum who was very busy and efficient in her work ! Thank you Kusum
Unfortunately the pool was out of action during my stay - but the view from the roof pool area was excellent ! Food was good and my only complaint is that the evening meal seating arrangements were not well organised, and that this felt need of improvement ! The distance from the Metro was about 20 minute walk but cheap cost taxis would be a good alternative.

Horrible horrible breakfast - same menu everyday except for Indian section which also did not taste good. Our bedroom toilet was also getting clogged & flooding out but no one came in time to fix it, lived in a dirty bathroom for 3 days. The room service also did not clean the rooms properly, just made the bed & changed towels - nothing else. Bad experience overall, definitely not worth paying the price of a 4 star

For those booking a junior suite please look elsewhere. We booked the jjnior suite for 11 days and was appalled by the condition on the room. The fixtures were rusted over in the bathroom and living room area. We had to look for a different room however all the junior suites were the same. They then offered us the exec suite which was better.

The staff cooking the breakfast was unhygienic. He would touch the ingredients with his hand then touch his phone and put his hand back into the food. I was disgusted and sat in the most convenient seat that allowed me to see exactly what he was doing. I did address it with him but was met with a smile.
The shower leaked into the toilet.
The corridor on the 2nd floor had a leaking ceiling just by the lifts, where my huband would get splashed.

The gym whilst it was minimal it was expected but the towels they had provided were all dirty. I would pull one dirty, 2nd dirty, third fourth and fift all dirty. There was a gentleman also working out with me and my husband and he was shocked at my dicovery.

I have images to support everything i mentioned.

They gave us a complementary honeymoon cake but it was stale and would have rathered not been given anything if it wasnt going to be edible.

On one night i ordered room service. Scrambled eggs very well done with onions and mushrooms.

Instead they gave me an omelette with bacon. This is an islamic country so they accidentally adding bacon to someones order is beyond me. Not one apology.

We had no trouble with checking in, everyone was very nice. We had got off the cruise ship at 9. So at the hotel by 9.30am. We would have to pay extra to get into a room right then but we just left our bags and when out for the day. Breakfast was offered to just when we arrived. Got back in the afternoon. Lovely big room and amazing bathroom. As our flight the next day was 8pm they gave us a late check out of 2pm at no extra cost:-) sat up on the roof top area for ☻☺︎ hour. Amazing view of the city. Close to everything. Loved it here

Nice room but weird there wasn’t a shower. Went to the bar downstairs and they didn’t allow me to use my discount from the VIP perk. Breakfast was ok, buffet dinner was average at best. Overall was good value for money with the highlight being the room and rooftop pool.

The hotel is a nice facility which is well kept and it does look good. There is a nice little gym, spa & sauna and small roof top pool.
What really lets this place down is the service. The breakfast service is displeasing as there are not enough tables and the staff are totally overwhelmed. I got used to asking for a latte 4-5 times before I got one.
Another issue was room service. They seem to never fully replenish things like soap, toilet tissue, shower gel etc. This again led to multiple calls to reception

De dag voor aankomst krijg je nog een mail, aangegeven dat we om 4u am aankwamen en dat was geen probleem, kon gewoon inchecken er is altijd iemand bij de receptie.
Ik had blijkbaar een rokers kamer, aangegeven dat het stonk naar sigarettenrook en er werd meteen een niet rokers kamer geregeld.
Taxi’s staan voor je klaar als je vraagt.

This was a great hotel that was close to everything. The pool was great and doesn't get too crowded. I tried the hair salon on site, the staff was great and did their best to manage my curly hair. One con was the limited options of food for lunch at the main restaurant. If you are a picky eater you will find yourself ordering from room service to get easy thing likes french-fries, pizza, chicken as they are not options at the buffet. Breakfast was great a lot of options. The room was overall clean and exactly as pictured. The sheets are not changed as often as you'd like unless you ask during your stay. Overall a great staff everyone was super friendly and helpful.

My daughter and I had a wonderful 5 days' stay at Hotel Canvas - MGallery. We loved the friendly staff, the clean and cozy rooms, the spa experience, the morning restaurant with everything you need (even Danish Butter) before leaving to explore the city of Dubai, the lobby area, the Indian Restaurant by Sanjeev Kapoor was extraordinary as well as the view from the Rooftop Skybar/pool area. My visit here was terrible. First day my fiancé luggage didn’t get to the room after 3 hours. I eventually went to get it. Power was off another day for 4 hours. I called three times and nobody showed up. Happened to grab a cleaner and he helped me out. The mini fridge didn’t work for the first three days. Someone finally changed it. It’s a shop owner that kept hounding us to buy fake bags and etc. On my last day I had a few charges that didn’t seem right but at that point I was over it. While checking out porter takes my bags. Get downstairs waiting on taxi for 30 mins and bags still wasn’t there. It was just a horrible experience. And last the bed was hard as hell. Food was nasty but the spa was amazing. I would recommend the spa.

First off we tried to cancel our reservation after our first night, it was our honeymoon and they decided to stick a couple twin beds together for our “king”. We had no outlet that worked in the room, and the room smelled like mildew. After that we were met with unwelcoming behavior from the staff for the duration of the stay. Key cards kept getting deactivated. I would go on but i got to go to work.

Well the check in was perfectly fine. The front desk manager was wonderful. I was given a great upgrade.
However, upon check in, after I was in the room for about 5 minutes, 2men were sent to collect “all the contents of the mini bar”. In my entire life of staying in 5stst hotels around the world that has never happened.
I don’t know the reason for that- but if made me the guest feel very uncomfortable. Did they think I was intoxicated or soy? I was not and in any case, what kind of a horrible policy is that?
Sorry it made me feel very unwelcome.
It’s a shame as the hotel is great, rooms are great and staff is very good.
But I unfortunately will remember my stay only by 2 men coming in to collect the minibar contents for ever. Very disappointing.

Called and complained and a lousy IT engineer showed up. Lost all hope of remote work and had to take next couple days off until I flew back to the states.

The most annoying inconvenience was the shower stall drain would not drain. And almost daily, the bathroom floor was flooded.

I complained daily to the hotel's reception; they were empathic with room service and did clean the water on the floor; however, engineering never unplugged the drain.

This was unconditionally unacceptable service!

Very mediocre hotel

I tried to ask for late check out since I arrived but was told to ask again on the morning of my checkout but the reception wasn't willing to assist and even I offered to pay for the late checkout, she refused to disclosed the amount and as a result, I have to leave the hotel at noon and wonder around the mall until my departure at 8pm, The other point is this hotel not allow us to sign to the room when eating at the restaurant or any other matters while insisting on visa or cash payment all the times.
