This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in years of international travel.
We had a prepaid booking and arrived late in the evening, only to be denied check-in because I did not have my passport with me. My passport was accidentally left at my brother’s place, two hours away, but my husband had his passport and I presented a driver’s license with photo, which is a government-issued ID accepted worldwide.
If this hotel has a strict policy requiring passports for every guest, that should be clearly communicated in the booking confirmation or pre-arrival emails. It was never mentioned anywhere. You cannot enforce a hidden policy on tired guests at night and leave them stranded.
What made this situation far worse was the horribly rude and unprofessional behavior of the receptionist (a lady at the front desk). Instead of handling the situation with basic courtesy or empathy, she coldly suggested that my husband could go to the room while I stayed in the lobby. That is not just unreasonable — it is humiliating.
Hotels.com contacted the property directly to help resolve the issue, yet her attitude remained unchanged and dismissive. Even if the hotel chose to stick to its policy, there is a respectful way to decline guests. This was not it.
I have traveled to over a dozen countries and visited the UAE 7–8 times, and I have never encountered this level of hostility and lack of basic hospitality at any hotel.

Fantastic place with very helpful and efficient staff. Room was spacious and great value for money. The area in which the hotel is situated is a bit far from the main tourist sites but worth it.

Friendly, efficient and helpful staff on reception. The pool staff, restaurant and cleaners were very polite. On arrival there were some unsightly marks around the bathroom that needed cleaning, the curtains were damaged as was the sink plug. We found the bed and pillows a bit hard and uncomfortable and on reflection we would have preferred a location closer to the beaches as its very difficult to walk in Dubai because of the traffic and huge distances. But the pool area was great and overall it was excellent value for money

Well, it was not expected based on what i saw from the pictures. The all services could have been a lot better. We reserved a room for three people but what they gave me was a very small room which was really difficult to stay...

Also the treatment of manager was a lot imploite and he was not at all kind.

Evert day they woudn't clean our room completely. Sometimes a towel missed, sometimes a toothbrush missed and etc...

Also, the diversity of breakfast was nothing, i can say we could only eat eges, That's it

I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all

Stayed at Grayton for 4 -5 days, Situated in Deira, very busy area shopping and business. Great area for exposing the Gold, Perfune and Spice Souk. Much cheaper to live than around JBR and the Palm if you want to spend more time in Dubai and discover other areas. Lovely hotel, good gym and Pool area. Spa is good also for massage. Food is good. Staff and service good also.

Overall an excellent hotel. It have the impression of being an epic place when it opened but had taken its eye off the ball slightly with various bits and pieces no longer working as they should, but nothing major and had other things going for it such as location, room size and design. Bar on ground floor was friendly and underused. Breakfasts there was buffet and good quality and selection for all tastes east and west

I stayed at the hotel recently for the first time and had a fantastic experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with modern and stylish rooms and amenities. But what really made my stay special was the excellent customer service.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff members. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Special thanks to the front office staff \"Soukaina\" who was very supportive & 5 star service hero indeed. She does her best to please the guest!

Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Grayton. The hotel itself is great, but the customer service is what really sets it apart. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Dubai.

Overall it was a decent stay. Only biggest issue was cleanliness there was dust behind the headboard, dust under side tables and general daily house keeping didnt take any dirty dishes from the room. Definately needs better cleaning. Triggered allergies off.

WORST BUSINESS HOTEL EXPERIENCE

The first day at the Hotel was good but during the stay someone - my doubt would be the housekeeping may have damaged the cover of the WC and when I saw the same I immediately informed the same to the Hotel and they started blaming me for the damage. Initially they started asking for a huge sum which got negotiated and I paid the same under dispute.

Now comes the tricky part when we were having this argument, there was a certain gentleman who claimed to be a manager to whom I was explaining and without hearing me he would just keep on interrupting. The discussion went out of hand he started threatening us of consequences and kept on showing us a camera and then he called some security guy who dint care much about what was happening. When I told them I am not interested to have the discussion and we would want to know your names - he REFUSED to give his name or his email id also when I asked details of the general that also he said I will not give you.

FRANKLY I DONT CARE HOW WELL YOUR HOTEL IS DOING BUT IF YOU DONT HAVE THE RIGHT GUYS TO HANDLE SUCH ISSUES THEN ITS JUST A HOUSE OF CARDS JUST WAITING TO FALL - IF THE RELEVANT PERSON IS READING - ITS FOR YOU TO AMEND - AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED I WAS GOING TO RECOMMEND TO ALL MY FRIENDS IN BANGLADESH - BUT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DUE TO THE ATTITUDE OF THE STAFF!!

The hotel dates from 2019, so everything is modern and electronically up to date. The beds are comfortable and the rooms very pleasing. I especially appreciated the shower, which had excellent pressure and hot water through a rainfall showerhead. The bath was large enough and also comfortable. Housekeeping were especially efficient and very helpful. The wait staff and chefs in the breakfast venue were also cheerful and always customer focused. The breakfast was par for the course in this type of four star establishment, with nothing particularly memorable. Ms Soukaina Ennhari, the Front Office Manager, was especially helpful and efficient. I found all staff to be well trained and client focused, they were a pleasure to deal with. The hotel is excellent overall, staff and property alike. The only drawback for me was the location, as it was inside a residential area of multi-storey apartment buildings, such as multiple Golden Sands complexes, and a 15 mins walk from Burjaman Mall, which would be a challenge in the warmer weather. Thank you to all staff, however, for their dedication and professionalism. Blazon corporation may be proud!

We arrived at The Grayton hotel on the Saturday 12th November 2022. We were impressed by the decor as we walked into the hotel lobby. The staff in the reception area were polite and informative. We were told that the hotel had been able to offer us a free room upgrade which was a very pleasant surprise. The room we were upgraded to was very spacious and clean, there was a bath in the bathroom, in addition to a shower. There was a lot of storage space, including drawers and a wardrobe. Air conditioning was good. In our room there was a separate seating area. In the bedroom, the bed was large and very comfortabe. A kettle was provided as well as sachets of tea and coffee, cups and saucers. Bottled water was replenished daily. The housekeeping was good. The breakfast consisted of a buffet and there was a good selection of hot and cold food available when we arrived each morning. We enjoyed our breakfasts, each morning. The pool area was clean and the water temperature was warm. Towels and sunbeds were available whenever we visited the rooftop pool. The Grayton hotel also has a gym and a spa, although we didn't use these facilities during our stay. There is a metro neaby called Burjuman There was a nice ambience about this hotel, we felt we had made the right choice in staying at the Grayton Hotel and will come back if we return to Dubai, which is probably likely based on our experience.

Highly recommended hotel. Exceeded my expectations. 5 start indeed. Not too far from The Frame and airport is about 15 mins drive away while downtown is 20 mins. Ehtisham, our bartender, made the best drinks and was very funny and warm. Make sure you ask for him at the bar.

I got in late at night. Staff were welcoming. I received a nice room upgrade and was able to get a fast, tasty burger from room service after midnight. The hot rainfall shower and comfy bed were a great addition to a recovery after flying for 18 hours. I will stay here again. You should too!

Property condition was fine but the staff and customer service experience was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Staff are rude and very hostile towards guest. I know one thing that I will never return to this hotel and neither will I ever recommend it to any one. They will ruin your travel experience. Ours was ruined by their ill treatment and lack of right customer service approach. Don’t waste your money logging in this hotel pls. Be warned!!!!

This hotel was great for a quiet break.
The metro was about 10 mins walk away.
Burjamin Shopping Centre was a fantastic surprise not far from the hotel.
