Room absolutely not as pictured. Old furniture, cracked walls in shower, shower hose hopelessly tangled.
insects in room. Stayed one night because I had just arrived after a long flight and it was already late at night and I was exhausted. When I left in the morning, the manager said he would do what he could to get me a refund for the unused nights, but I ended up getting back only about half of what I paid for the two weeks I had booked. If you're really tight on money and tolerant of bugs, etc., maybe it's for you. I will say staff is friendly and A/C works well. They did offer to switch me to a different apartment, but I was already too turned off to even consider it.

The staff was very nice. We had to change rooms 3x's as they were smelly.
The bathroom leaked constantly. After repeated complains it was fixed the night before our departure.

Very Bad Hotel

This is not a good place to be at all. They called me to know when I will be checking out a day before my check out time, and I told them it’s 12pm. They started calling me at 10:30am just because of checkout, I was so pissed that I refused to pick their calls, and they kept on calling continuously. Worst experience of my life

it feels like cheating someone by showing fake claims online, its my worst experience. i have to bare them for more than 20+ nights. myself and my wife are explaining the difficulties every now and then but the front office executives are helpless to solve it due to poor management.

This property is in need of renovation. There are loose sockets in the walls and damp inside the kitchen units. The bathroom looks tired and very 70's 80's era. The first time we ran the water in the taps it was yellow although this was fixed straight away, I personally washed my face with bottled water after that. The staff were friendly and punctual and I suppose that's what keeps the hotel a 3-4 star. You will not be given tea/coffee nor bottled water but 1 bottle on the first day. Its close to the metro about 7 minute walk and has many local shops around. However minimum time was spent in the hotel as we went around Dubai:) We would not book this property again as we believe there are safety issues, the cooker kept turning off and on as it pleased when the switch was turned on. We traveled from the UK.

Close to food and tube

Booked room with washing machine so I was upgraded to a one bedroom which was very spacious.

There were building work taking place st the hotel during daytime and there was no notice given to customers either on the website or throughout the hotel, this meant it was difficult to sleep during the day.

Staff at the hotel decided to try and enter my room while I was sleeping although a do not disturb sign was posted, their reason was they wanted to check in ok because I was not in the room over a weekend.

Terrible Hotel, smells bad

Less staff, bed is saggy, bed mattress needs replacement, non smoking room but it smells cigarette. Shower knob is missing and i have to get out of the shower to call them to fix it. There are molds on the shower tiles as well. The worst thing is, it took them more than an hour to bring our luggages to our room despite my several calls. Also when we check out, it also took them long to take our luggages down. Staff not so nice. Not a single smile. I will not recommend this hotel.

GREAT VALUE AND OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE

Let's deal with the \"negative\" first - this is not the most modern or recently refurbished hotel in Dubai.

In all other respects our experience at the Almanar was EXCEPTIONAL - not a word I use lightly.

The apartment we had was exceptionally large, very well maintained, had a huge and very comfortable bed with new linen - and a kitchenette which gave us great flexibility in our eating arrangements

Sheetal , the Front Office Manager, supervises a highly effective operation with very helpful staff who responded very quickly and effectively to the two minor requests we made.

The apartments are very well located close to the metro.

We ate on the 17th floor of a neighbouring very expensive hotel - the Park Regis Kris Kin. The view at night was absolutely stunning and the buffet was superb. The combination of apartment and restaurant represent unrivalled quality and value.

Unless you want to pay very substantially more for one of the new high rise hotels, you will find it very difficult to match the Almanar Grand.

Good, Value for money....

Comfortable stay. Location is great with easy access by Metro. Rooms need improvement.
Reception staff with indifferent attitude and need some customer relations training. Maintenance staff not available even in daytime. Room service and food are satisfactory.

OK hotel close to metro.

The hotel and apartment was clean. Not cleaned properly when we were not observing.
Washing machine had to be replaced. Had to move rooms as it had stale smoke ingrained in the curtains and furniture.
Could not find my vari focal glasses when I was leaving. Did not rde taxi on time a requested and was late for airport.
Staff polite and friendly however not very professional. Will not return.

Good value for money

This was my second visit to Al Manar Grand Hotel Apartments. It is a good location and a comfortable hotel. If the renovations will include the gym and pool area in the future it will be great.

Value hotel near the metro

Had to remember to switch on the water heater for hot water, which was inconvenient. The TV remote had to be replaced and cable selections were poor.
On the plus side, the room was spacious, with a functional kitchen and utensils etc.

Good hotel. Only problem is pool and gym are not open early morning or late evening. Fire alarm went off more than five time around 3 am during our two weeks stay due to other guests smoking in the room at night. The hotel needs to fine such guests. The one room we had was well kept but shared a locked door with the next room so noice from there came through and was disturbing when tv was loud or guests were talking at night.

Convenient location if you are in Karama for work

Stayed here for three nights during my training at work, choose this hotel as it was close to the office and had pool and gym, however I didn't get to use pool and gym as these close at 8pm - very strange for the hotel. Breakfast wasn't good in my opinion so I only had it at the hotel the first day and then bought food in nearby Spinneys and used kitchen in the room. Overall very average stay nothing too exciting or very disappointing.

Try Al Manar: a nice place to stay in Dubai

It was a very great experience staying in al manar. The room was huge and super nice. Near to metro and market and malls and in the airport.
It was a nice place for comfort and relaxation. I really love it. well, me and my husband love the place. You can cook food according to what you want to eat. It was a plus factor because they provided you with everything. It was really a value for money. We just had a problem turning on the other lamp shades but it just need additional plug, but its fine because the over all lighting was enough. I hope they will add more channels in the cable tv though. Try it,its very nice place.

Fantastic all rounder, minus the bathroom!

Brilliant clean, organised and well situated hotel. Very reasonable rates and fantastic value for money. Close to local metro station, mall and many other amenities; all within walking distance. Only downside being the bathroom in the apartment, it was out of date and in desperate need of redecoration and clean up. Apart from that, it was a brilliant all round experience.

Led a group of 12 and obtained 8 rooms. Spacious and self contained facilities including kitchenette. Never regretted choosing the hotel and wI'll chose it again. Of greater benefit was the smoke-free environment. Very responsive front line staff.

Front desk experience was mediocre. The manager was efficient but overworked so there were long delays. The other desk staff seemed under-trained and over-dependent on the manager. Facilities good. Large clean rooms. Didn't try the restaurant.

First room we were given was tired & in need of re-decorating, we asked to change rooms & were given a very nice fresh spacious room that was the same price. Staff were very friendly & helpful especially one of the room cleaners Garish who always had a smile on his face & always willing to help in any way he could.

Wonderful Stay and will defenitely come back again

Very Comfortable stay - staff co-operative. Got free upgrade to 1 bedroom suite. The Manager Mr. James was gem of a person and understood his clients well and did whatever possible to satisfy them. Location of the Hotel is good and not that far from the Metro station. Rooms were very clean and housekeeping also assisted well. Would defintely come back again.

i enjoyed my stay at this hotel/apartment. the staff were very friendly n courteous. beautiful and cozy room with well equipped kitchen. nice n calm neighbourhood and excellent room service. the hotel is a walking distance from the metrostation and is very accessible. good wifi service.. has a rooftop pool, gym, sauna n steam room . the food at the restaurant is very affordable. i had a nice experience. would greatly recommend.
