Lovely small hotel in the very center of Paris, walk to the Louvre, Seine river boats and pretty much anything. Restaurants, cafes and great boulangeries on every street corner, making it easy to get your morning croissant, and both great coffee and a mini fridge in the room. Friendly multi-lingual staff. Such a lovely hotel with very friendly staff! Fantastic location with so many incredible restaurants, cafes on the street. Highly recommend staying here.
Bed was very comfortable and great nights sleep. Courtyard facing room was very quiet, no outside noises. Standard room, bathroom was a but tight. Hot water in shower in the morning took several minutes to reach floor 2, but pressure was great. Breakfast was lovely. Real eggs scrambled in buffet.
Only 4 star for eco friendly because they replaced all towels everyday even though we hung up.

This was the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel. I use it for its great location. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are good. This visit we had our granddaughter with us for her birthday. For some reason when we put the air conditioning on in the evening there was a smell of cigarettes. Also the bracket for the shower was missing so we could not shower properly. I made the staff aware who said they will look into this but they did not fix this. With all this said I regularly visit Paris and will always use this hotel.

This property was amazing! From the friendly concierge service, to the great individual service we received after having a rough start in Paris, we appreciated the guaranteed cleanliness of the room and spaces! This was a little piece of heaven in a wonderful, quintessential Parisian street. We were able to walk safely and have restaurants from American staples such as McDonald’s and Starbucks to some of our newest French cuisine favorites. The Train station was easily accessible, Uber was able to drop us door to door, and overall it was a great experience with this hotel.

I like that room was very clean and cozy. They provided water in the refrigerator, an expresso machine and tea was also inside the room along with biscuits.

Entrance pleasant. But that was it. Feel really miss sold this is not a 4* hotel ! Narrow steep stairs to a small room with stained carpets. So narrow the fridge woujd not open as end of bed was in the way. Many plug sockets did not work and hotel very noisy from cafes opposite. We were on the 2nd floor. Breakfast avoid. It’s based in a seller that is hot and smelly. So sad to write this but was very disappointed. We paid alot of money for one night !

In room safe broke and couldn't be fixed. Room keys only worked once. We had we renewed it to get a new key after each entry. We were very careful to not mix the digital keys with any other electronic devices. Same results. We stayed two nights, had to renew keys 4 times. AC also did not work. Had to open the window (which has no bug screens) to sleep and also lost privacy to surrounding rooms. We know when we booked that this is not a high quality hotel. We chose it because of its location which is really nice and ideal for us. Yet, we are disappointed some of these fundamental room features are not functioning. Hotel staffs are very nice. Trying to help but this is beyond them. Hotel management is largely responsible.

VRBO booked this hotel for us for 2 nights after we arrived in Paris, France to find that the VRBO host canceled our reservation. Funny they forgot to mention they only paid for 1, and next day they didn’t want to pay for a second unless we moved because the next day was “more expensive to them”. The manager, a Mr Y. Made every effort to accommodate, to include reducing the fee so that VRBO could match their budget for that extra night. When VRBO was going to out us in a hotel near the red light district w/ our 2 daughters. Mr Y told us “no way” and helped us by reducing the fees to VRBO budget so we could stay there for the duration of our week in Paris. Mr Y saved our vacation.

Once you get past the naked paintings with full bush and having to explain that to your little kids on why there is painting of naked people in every room and hallway, then you are ok. Rooms smell a little but then again it’s France so, anyone who stayed there probably didn’t use deodorants in a. Long time so that what it smelled like. You kinda sorta get used to. Breakfast is bread, couple of pieces of ham and fruit… and coffee so strong you can’t drink it. Single bed was nothing but a cot. Like a camping foldable cot with a cushion mattress under a piece of plywood.

DO NOT book ANYTHING through the hotel. No Eiffel Tower or louvre or nothing tickets. You won’t get them, not in time anyways and may be the wrong person tickets, wrong time or date. They just blame it on the next guy who isn’t the

Don’t stay here. I never write a review but I don’t think anyone should stay here. Why?
#1. Overpriced rooms ($2046 Euros for 4 nights).
#2. Terrible beds (the mattress is very firm and dusty). We couldn’t sleep at all.
#3. The extra bed or “twin” bed is a foldable bed with a very thin mattress).
#4. The rooms are Extremely hot and dark. There is no air conditioning. However, they advertise it.
#5. Electric problems (difficult to charge cellphones and other devices).
#6. An old TV (1980’s).
#7. Inconvenient shower (the shower head and drop elbow is close to the wall).
#8. They didn’t let me cancel my booking for the last 2 days.

The staff and the overall cleanlinesses was good. However, on our second day our adjoining was not cleaned. We were at the top of the building as we had a family suite and would not suggest this for elderly people, as the lift stopped a floor below. Breakfast was sparse, no buffet to choose from and we had to ask for everything not knowing what was on offer or staff disappearing when you needed something. Very small breakfast room 8 table of two and the hotel has in excess of twenty rooms! Good location.

From the plugs to connect your phone, to the shower, toilet, old carpet, the place is falling apart and it seems like they don’t fix everything that breaks. I had to shower with cold water on top of that, the staff was very kind.. they tried their best to fix things but whoever owns the property is making money off of something broken that doesn’t provide the simple things a customer needs.
Location? Excellent, I still feel like it’s not worth what I paid.

This is at best a 2 star hotel. There are no connecting rooms despite the hotel advertising that they have them.
The lift barely worked, half the water from shower would go outside the bathtub so the floor would be flooded by end of a shower. Walls are paper thin and I do not recommend this for a family.
On the plus side the location is good and staff were decent.

Great location on Rue Montorgueil, which has a bunch of restaurants open late. This does mean things are a little noisier, but we didn't feel that noise was an issue. The hotel itself is pretty charming, with a clean and slightly old-fashioned aesthetic. Room was relatively clean and roomy enough, but there was a distinct smoky wood / lumber smell that was very prominent. It wasn't exactly unpleasant, just not something we expected to smell. Other than that, the hotel is nice and an acceptable place to stay if lodging in Paris.

Everything that the room was lacking was made up for by the location location location. I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are a bit dark and dreary at night time, but are much better during the day when the sunlight comes in. The shower head was a bit annoying because the water either shot straight down (not at an angle towards the body) or you would have to hold the head, so no hands free shower. I can't say enough about the location though. Fun and excitement as soon as you exit the hotel, many cafes, patisseries--even McDonalds--to choose from, and within minutes walking distance of the metro, which is the pathway to EVERYTHING in Paris. I would definitely stay again.

This is a perfect place to serve as your launchpad to all things Paris. With several metros stations heading in multiple directions within a 5-10 minute walk, you can get anywhere easily. I've stayed in 4 different areas if Paris, and this is my favorite in terms of coming back to base after a long day and hanging at a sidewalk eatery and unwinding. The place itself was very well cared for, updated, modernized, and clean. The daily housekeeping left things perfect on return. The elevator is tiny, which is par for Paris but at least it has one. Will definitely be looking to stay here again!

Shabby hotel in a great neighborhood

The two best things I can say about this hotel are: (1) they had our room ready for us at 10 a.m. when we arrived dead tired after an overnight trip from the U.S. to Paris; and (2) it's in a great neighborhood (near Les Halles in the 2nd Arondissment, Metro, buses, and RER) with lots of busy restaurants. The day we left, the elevator was broken, so we had to climb down five flights of stairs with luggage. The carpet and paint are shabby and need refurbishing. The bathroom was updated, so it was okay.

The hotel Victoire Opera is a good value on a great street filled with cafes and highly rated patisseries. Our room was attractive, with a few of the quirks you find in small European hotels: showers that make it hard not to leave standing water on the bathroom floor, electrical outlets that will have you on all fours. Breakfast is not included in the room, and lacks variety, so go out on the street sometimes for petit dejourner.

Located in noisy street no way to sleep, at 5AM we used the hotel taxi to take us to the airport at halph way the receptionist called the driver to return with no explanation, as we arrived the receptionist ask for the iphone usb adaptor yes we took it by accident my wife tough it was mine
And it cost 3 Euro , how low that Arab receptionist to make us come back and risking to miss our flight for 3 euro he could asked the driver and we would give it back to him STAY AWY FROM THIS HOTEL

TRUE PARISIAN EXPERIENCE

Only 15 min walk to the Louvre, D'Orsay, the river Seine. Location, Location, Location. The traffic on this street is very sparse. Mostly filled with people walking and visiting the shops and cafes. The people at this hotel are very helpful and kind. The maid service was excellent. This is NOT a 4 star hotel but we feel that whatever the hotel lacks in opulence, it makes up for in the helpfulness of the staff. We stayed here ten days. When we return, we promise to stay at this same boutique hotel. True Parisian experience.

Advertises robe slippers and 3 twin beds We had none of these advertised amenities. Three people 2 beds 1 cot and 2 Lipton teas bags. Make up mirror had no head blow dryer was broken as were the window locks which opened out to a fire escape. Complaining brought no results. Next morning Wally was nice enough to get us another room again I.T included a cot. I loved the location but I would not recommend this hotel

Since there were three of us staying in a two-bed room, we opted for an additional cot in order to save money. The supports under the mattress on the cot were not sturdy and the middle section failed, so the person sleeping in this cot did not get a good night's sleep for the first night. The problem was corrected the next day, so the remaining nights of our stay were problem-free. All other aspects of the hotel accommodations were very good to excellent.

The hotel is very nice and close to the Louvre museum. I call for a late check-in and the rooms were ready when we arrived at 1:00am. The front desk clerk spoke English and was very attentive and fast during the process. Four stars out of five.
