A three star experience

Well, it is a three star hotel, so a three star ranking should be expected. The front desk staff was great. Helped me organise a very last minute tour that was wonderful and inexpensive.

The towels had been washed a billion times. In these times of a pandemic, that might bring some comfort, but that was about the only comfort to expect from the towels.

I mostly care about bed comfort and wifi. The bed was very comfortable, with memory foam pillows. The wifi was almost nonexistent in my room. I had to stand near the front door to send emails.

Overall, it was a six out of ten experience.

The area is in good walking distance to center. the staff was friendly. only thing I had to stay a few hours because I had a late flight and I was charged for a full day. This was not fair. The property manager told this was their business rules.

Very noisy rooms. Not a great location. We only stayed for a few hours but would definitely not recommend this hotel. Just average accommodations. Rooms could be cleaner. The comforter on the bed was stained. The complementary WiFi did not work in the rooms.
I did not feel the surrounding area to be very safe and you are far from most of the good cafes, restaurants and bars. Look for a property closer to Plaza Independencia if you are looking for a more comfortable stay in Mendoza.

My main complaint was that I was on the 2nd floor, (really the 3rd floor according to US standards) and I heard traffic noise all night. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
It was close to the bus station. Just 20 pesos away.

Raul is a rock star

First, the things that could be better. It was a little bit far from the city center (though only a 10 minute walk), the wifi was weak in certain areas (which I happened to need) and the breakfast was meh, BUT the staff there were super helpful. I don't speak Spanish (note, it is really hard if you don't) and Raul and another gentleman whose name I didn't get were so helpful in making day trip arrangements and making sure I was able to get to the places I needed to go. They really went out of their way to be helfpul.

Sleepless night in Mendoza

Two couples in our party. One had a room at the front, and one at the rear of the hotel. We all had sleepless nights due to noisy traffic most of the night at the front and barking dogs at the rear. There seemed to be a pack with one starting off all the others.
The Dakar is slightly out of the centre, so we thought it would be a little quieter - not so. However, in it's favour, it is within a 10 -15 minute walk of the main square, shops and restaurants. We would not stay here again, and in fact left after two nights, although we had pre-booked three.

The hotel offers a pool, but we never used it since it looked like it hadn`t been cleaned in a long time. The water was so dirty that it was impossible the bottom of the pool.

The floor in our room was far from clean, but otherwise clean sheets and towels. Helpful staff.

Was okay, but not all the rooms have wi fi. And they could'nt do anything, it stands when we booked on hotels.com that it should. But you have in the hallway and lobby. Our room smelled a bit funny.

Hotel Dakar convenient, well-priced and pleasant

The Dakar is in walking distance of the bus station and within10-15 minutes of Mendoza's center. Our room was spacious but sparsely furnished. The bathroom was modern and spotless. Continental breakfast adequate. Wifi in lobby and breakfast area only. Exercise room and spa facilities are a nice feature.

Noisy room, huge pack of howling dogs outside the window

This hotel had a good price and was okay for one night. But some of the front desk clerks were rude and unwilling to help us find things to do in the area, and seemed annoyed we were asking. A few of them were nice too, but one or two in particular were really rude and had no place in the service industry. They just seemed unfriendly and unsociable and had no recommendations - which is really why they are there in the first place!

The bed was comfortable, with a king size bed with a soft down comforter, and a minibar stocked with affordable sodas, water, and local malbec.

My main problem with the room, however, was the MASSIVE pack of howling, barking, yelping, mangy dogs just outside our window, that barked on and off throughout the day and night and were very loud! Even if I looked out the window down at them, they saw me and started barking frantically in my direction. That made me think they were malnourished, which was depressing. They seemed to be enclosed in small square areas enclosed by tall cement walls, like a prison, and just did not seem happy or healthy. Dakar should speak to the owners of the dogs about not keeping them outside all the time or not having a ridiculous amount of dogs to begin with.

Also, do not advertise your hotel as having a pool and hot tub when both were empty (lacking water) during late spring/early summer, when it is peak period to use them.

Next time, would want to stay in a more central location, maybe near Plaza Independencia.

Minha experiência no hotel foi extremamente negativa e traumática.
•O quarto era velho e mal conservado, e o banheiro estava em condições horríveis.
•Precisei trocar de quarto porque a porta estava com a fechadura quebrada.
•Um funcionário entrou no meu quarto alegando que iria arrumar a água quente, mesmo sem eu ter solicitado.
•O mais grave: liberaram meu quarto para outro casal. Por sorte, eu estava em frente ao elevador e vi quando tentaram entrar.

Fiquei em pânico ao imaginar se isso tivesse acontecido enquanto eu estivesse dormindo ou se alguém tivesse acesso às minhas coisas pessoais. Chorei de nervoso e, com muito medo de permanecer ali, precisei sair do hotel e procurar outro da mesma rede, no prédio vizinho. Lá havia vaga, mas fui obrigada a pagar quase R$ 500,00 a mais pela hospedagem.

Esse tipo de situação é inadmissível. Além de comprometer a segurança, causou enorme abalo emocional e prejuízo financeiro.

Me hospedé en ambos hoteles DAKAR y GRAN DAKAR que estan interconectados. Los dos tienen muy buenas camas, las habitaciones son amplias (más las del Gran Dakar), tiene secador de cabello, te proporcionan todos los elementos de higiene, muy limpio todo.
La recepción es muy buena, la atencion es buena también. Por la noche la recepcion del Dakar cierra pero a media cuadra está el Gran Dakar, se ingresa por ahí, hay alguien 24hs.
Los desayunos son similares, tienen: tes, cafe, leche, cereales, queso, jamón (el gran dakar tiene Jamón crudo), yogur, ensalada de frutas, frutas, pan, medialunas, etc. Muy completo.
Los lugareños nos dijeron que no anduvieramos caminando por la zona de noche. De todas formas en 10min con un Uber estas en la plaza independencia, un costo de 3.000$ por viaje. Asi que la ubicación no sé si será la mejor pero a nosotros no nos modificó en nada el lugar dónde está ubicado, es más, DE DÍA fuimos caminando a la Casa de San Martin y al Área fundacional, nos movimos en cole también porque tiene muchas paradas cerca, repito de día.
Tienen GYM y el Gran Dakar una piscina cubierta.
Yo recomiendo ambos hoteles.

O Hotel é mais antigo, bastante simples, café da manhã também bem simples. A limpeza não é boa e os móveis são velhos.
Tivemos uma situação desagradável na nossa última noite de estadia. Quando retornamos de um passeio, minha esposa percebeu que havia sumido um creme hidratante, comunicamos à recepção, como não temos como provar foi apenas um alerta para os responsáveis.

Excelente custo/benefício. Café e quarto excelente. Só o tipo de chuveiro deixa um pouco a desejar. Um pouco longe das ruas de restaurantes mas nada q um Uber não resolvesse. E as vezes dava pra caminhar e conhecer um pouco mais a cidade. Ficaria novamente sem problemas.

Il y a deux parties dans cet hôtel une plus récente et une autre plus vieille et dont les chambres sont défraîchies. Les deux se rejoignent par un stationnement intérieur. La majorité des photos montrent la partie plus récente. Nous avons eu une chambre dans la partie plus vieille. Le prix était assez élevé. À ce prix, nous pensions avoir une chambre qui ressemblait aux photos. Nous avons été très déçus.

Negativo: la hab. económica sin ventana en PB , contigua al edificio central.
Me ofrecieron otra por 300$ más y la tomamos.

El spa un misterio . Cada uno dió una información diferente:
_ No funciona desde hace 2 días. _Funciona pero son 500$ por persona.
_ Sí puede usar el jacuzzi al aire libre.
_Hay que avisar con anticipación para que vengan porque el personal es de afuera.
Conclusión no lo brindan.
Sólo funciona un gimnasio.

Al llegar, me cobraron en dólares con el cambio en pesos de día, pero ante reiteradas veces de pedirle que me diga cuánto cobraba cada dólar y ver qué me estaba cobrando 1,5 pesos argentinos de más por cada dólar, me dijo que eran las políticas del hotel.
Están en construcción de una ampliación, mi habitación daba a la obra y a las 7am comenzaron los obreros a trabajar y fue imposible seguir durmiendo.
El hotel está bien, pero muy descuidado.
Tenía reserva para dos noches pero me fui luego de la primera.

Me cobraram 21% de IVA indevidamente

Prezados, me hospedei no Hotel Dakar em Janeiro/2019. No momento do pagamento me foi cobrado, além do valor da reserva, um valor a mais referente a Impostos. Achei esquisito mas não contestei no momento devido a pressa. Verificando agora na própria reserva, discrimina que não deve ser cobrado Imposto (IVA) de estrangeiros. Conforme as fotos anexas, foi cobrado US$ 367,56, quando o correto seria US$ 288. Peço ao site para intermediar o acerto junto ao Hotel, uma vez que é o papel da Hoteis.com a intermediação entre hóspedes e os hotéis. Eu contestei junto à operadora de Cartão de Crédito e espero contato para acertar o valor que me cabe, nem a mais, nem a menos. Aos futuros e interessados hóspedes, peço tomarem muito cuidado no momento do check out neste Hotel. Aguardo retorno.

Hotel relativement bien situé quoique loin de la rue centrale de restaurant et du parc. Personnel courtois. Par contre, nous avions un sac de noix et en nous levant le matin, une armée de fourmis l’avait percé et se promenaient dans la chambre. Je ne retournerais pas.

El personal de aseo trata de hacer lo mejor y eso me consta, pero al lugar hay que arreglarle muchas cosas que incluso den una impresión de ser un lugar limpio, le falta decoración y si una buena mano de pintura no estaría mal. Cuando llegué, sobre la cama había un edredón manchado, con agujeros, creo que ya debería estar desechado, pero lo siguen usando. El desayuno es bueno en general, podría ser mejor si se incluye por ejemplo alguna fruta.

En si el hotel no es malo pero la atención recibida por el recepcionista calvo no fue muy amable, reserve cama doble y nos dieron habitación de camas individuales, lo único aceptable es la terraza con la pileta y el hidromasaje
