This property is dealing with massive construction next door and are bending over backwards to help guests. Getting to the property by car is nearly impossible when the road is closed due to the new building going up next door. Breakfast was awesome, room was clean and staff were amazing!

Nice hotel. Great staff. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Several good restaurants at the hotel and lots more nearby. Room was spacious with a nice big balcony. Overall, good location, within walking distance to shopping, nightlife, etc. Excursion desk in the lobby with staff to help answer questions or help book tours. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Despite the cleanliness of the property there was a dank and moldy smell in both the hallway and our room. Staff was very kind, friendly & accommodating. Amenities were not utilized due to weather on our end but the pools looked beautiful.

The facilities are great and the staff are wonderful. Nice deluxe room, spacious with nice balcony. Some of the outer areas are in need of a spruce but the main hotel and pool areas are very good condition. On balance, probs not a 5 star but the staff definitely make up for it and if anything is wrong, they will sort it immediately.

It is situated on a building site due to new Hard Rock hotel .
We werent advised in advance and the disruption was immense throughout .
The staff were very good throughout but we would have stayed elsewhere if we had known .

Good clean room that was cleaned every day.
All the hotel staff, from the hotel receptionists to the waiters in the restaurants, to the housekeepers and of course the bar staff all were very courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Although there is a gym, it is a bit cramped, but functional.

Room ok twin beds were old and creaky.You couldnt move without loud creaks.roomwater wasnt renewed .The spa jacuzzi was out of action for 5 of our 8 day stay.Pool wasnt cleaned during our stay.Staff were all very polite and helpful but there was a lack of maintenance in areas of the hotel.

Only drawbacks were noises from the room next door and room above us and very rude Spa assistant manager. Great location and amenities nearby.

I had a really good experience at the hotel. The staff at the reception were very good at check in and other Miscellaneous services. Rachael arrange the birthday cake, my following up relentlessly and ensuring that the details were were right and the cake will be delivered on the right day. Ashutosh was an absolute star as he ensured that my wife’s birthday celebrations and the cake were handed to me promptly. He was courteous And efficient in dealing with me during check out. Oumaima was very efficient too in arranging room service food for me from the reception. Thanks for making our stay a great one! Kudos to all the staff. Manjil was quite good too in providing a very good cappuccino.

Booked as a VIP Access stay, but there was nothing VIP about it. I was supposed to get a bottle of wine on arrival which I never received.

Housekeeping was minimal. Water and toiletries were not replaced and were described as “arrival only”, despite paying for each night. Basic hospitality was lacking throughout the stay.

At breakfast, while I was still eating and close to finishing, I was asked to move tables and carry my plates because the service time was over, even though other guests were still seated. No grace period and no courtesy. I left breakfast feeling rushed and uncomfortable. The breakfast itself was barely edible.

Food service was very poor. I waited one hour for a sandwich that never arrived. Later, the restaurant staff refused to give me salt and I had to involve a duty manager just to get something basic. What kind of hotel refuses salt?

I raised these issues with the managers but they issues kept building up so I emailed guest relations, the emailed me back asking me to a see a duty manager when I return but I knew I had already talked to them so just left.

Overall, the experience ruined what was meant to be a relaxing Christmas break.
Very poor hospitality and not worth the VIP Access label. I would not return. The staff try their best not to help you. They are heavily undertrained and anything you ask them is either refusal or pointing to to some other department to pick it yourself.

The staff are friendly and helpful but the rooms are not the cleanest, I got a rash from my stay and not sure from what. The breakfast is ok, just your usual breakfast stuff nothing amazing but they do make you fresh tea/coffee/orange juice/poached eggs if you ask them. There are lots of pools and the spa is really nice with the pool and jacuzzi downstairs. There was a man doing building works on the on the property when we’re relaxing by the pool and making a lot of noise so the hotel did not think about that as part of providing good service take of that what you will.

There is a huge building under construction in the area but once we was in the hotel complex this was not a problem at all . The area around the property was undergoing extensive construction which limited access and was a health and safety issue to the point of being dangerous. The hotel itself and facilities were excellent. However, I was mistakenly charged for four shuttles when I only had one. I disputed this and the mistake was resolved. Although something to bear in mind for customer service.

On arrival the the hotel the staff were very welcoming and polite as this was are very first time visiting Malta for my birthday as I made them aware of this before hand they were kind enough to upgrade our room and made sure we had everything we needed to have the most enjoyable stay very helpful and informative the breakfast had a large number of options and the the restaurant were great too and fairly priced with delicious options I would definitely recommend this place and would love to return again in the warmer months.

We had a sea view with a balcony which made the stay very relaxing.

There is a lot of construction work going on right by the hotel so perhaps ask for a room away from the noise. There is a dedicated taxi service into Valletta for 20 euros each way, although the local bus runs every 15 minutes or so and costs a few euros but takes about an hour.

Staff were helpful, although if like me, you like to read through what is around and going on, (I can't absorb everything all at once!) there wasn't really much in the way of a welcome pack in the room.

Breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious! As was the food in the nearby restaurants.

If you want Spa treatments be prepared to pay 50% up front. Book early as the slots get go quickly. Being someone that has regular treatments and is a therapist as well, I wasn't overly impressed with the treatments, which seemed rushed, and not comparable in movements or delivery with the way I am used to.

Really liked the hotel and location, as I am not a fan of being right in the middle of hustle and bustle. The price was right although there are parts of the hotel very much in need of updating.

On entering the first room, it was clear that it needed a thorough refresh — both in terms of decor and cleanliness. There was a noticeable stale smell, and I began to experience itching, which I only tend to get in places where pets may have been. While I understand the hotel may have a no-pet policy, it might be worth reviewing how rooms are prepared to ensure all guests feel comfortable.

I was offered two alternative rooms. The second had a similar issue, but I eventually settled on the third, which was slightly better. The reception and concierge staff were helpful and accommodating throughout, which I appreciated. However, the room is ultimately what shapes your stay — and in this case, it unfortunately fell short. Regretfully, I won’t be returning.

Lots of construction going on right next to the resort so there was a lot of noise. If you live in a big city then I’m sure it’ll be naturally tuned out. We used the pool and hot tub inside and enjoyed that. We did not do the tour buses but there is a stop outside of the building which is very convenient.

My room was upgraded from Delux twin room Seaview front for a family room with sea view front and it was extremely moldy and smelly of the pipes and actually existing really bad smell so it wasn't upgrade it was downgrade.
The next day I ask from desk and a manager to give me the room I booked from Expedia app to have my twin dialogues a room for Seaview front I was told that everything was absolutely booked because of the wedding of the whole week and the weekends and the only room they have basic twin room pool view. So I said because I paid for specific room more money than what they offering me and what I was upgraded in the beginning which is was downgrade besides upgrade. I ask them to get them maybe free dinner for me and manager kindly and nicely give me a free voucher for dinner however in this room having a really big issues with Cockroaches.

Great hotel with fantastic staff - especially front desk and concierge who were incredibly helpful. Lots of amenities and the exec lounge was a lovely bonus (available for selected rooms), with snacks and drinks available all day. Restaurants on site were very good - especially Sole.

St George’s Bay Area is touristy and not the prettiest once you’re outside of the hotel due to quite a bit of construction, but there is a sandy beach and shops/restaurants/nightlife. It’s also easy to get around and explore from there. The view from the hotel itself though is stunning and you can swim directly in the sea from the hotel area.

Besides didn’t have bathrobes and asked two days in a row but never got them. So in the end, it is a nice hotel but definitely not a 5* hotel and doesn’t get even close to the hotel on the other side of the bay…

We stayed for four nights on a short family break and couldn’t have asked for more. The location was absolutely fantastic — close to everything we needed yet peaceful enough to truly unwind. The price was very reasonable, and to our surprise, we received a complimentary upgrade which came with an outstanding view of the bay.
Breakfast was perfect every morning — fresh, varied, and well presented. The service was second to none, with genuinely warm and attentive staff throughout. Housekeeping was outstanding, keeping everything spotless and refreshed daily.

Room was in very poor condition. The curtains didn’t even close all the way (there were hooks that had no curtain on it which meant there was a gap always with no curtain and the curtain couldn’t be pulled over it). The room is dated. The aircon is from last century. The duvet didn’t even fit the duvet cover - the side and the bottom had a lot of extra duvet cover which I wouldn’t expect from a 5 star facility. It’s doesn’t take much to get duvet covers that fit the duvet. It’s luxury to have a big duvet. It doesn’t feel luxury to have just a duvet cover over you with no duvet in it. It was also very dangerous as I tripped over the excess duvet cover draped on the floor because there was so much of it. The bed was very comfy but otherwise did not think much of the room. House keeping were very sweet and took care of the fact our bed wasn’t a twin as we asked. The room also smelt very stale and musky. Very off putting. Nothing could be done about the room when I complained. Wasn’t impressed by the hotel and would not recommend it. I would expect in 5 star to have some more service around the pools but didn’t get anything and had to set my own umbrella up as there was nobody to ask for help. The hotel was not 5 star standard

Don’t be put off by the building works — although unsightly on arrival, the noise was minimal and didn’t impact our stay at all. The hotel offers a great choice of pool areas with plenty of sunbeds, so there’s no need to get up early to reserve one. There’s also easy access to the sea for those who fancy a swim.

On the downside, we arrived just before 12pm and were told check-in wasn’t until 3pm, which was fine. However, when 3pm came, we were repeatedly told it would be “just two more minutes,” and we didn’t actually receive our key until 3:20pm. It was clear the room had been prepared in a rush, as the dressing gowns and hairdryer were missing. The gowns were replaced quickly, but the hairdryer turned into more of an ordeal — housekeeping even suggested I hadn’t looked properly, which was frustrating. Thankfully, a visit to concierge resolved the issue, and a special mention goes to Brian, who was fantastic.

The on-site restaurants — Don Royale (Italian) and Henry Beans (American-style burgers, ribs, steaks, etc.) — offered a great selection of food. Don Royale is very popular, so I’d recommend booking in advance. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel, with an excellent variety and high-quality food.

Despite a few minor issues, I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful views and wonderful service, but rooms need updating

We enjoyed our stay overall, though a few things were surprising. The hotel itself is beautiful — spotless public areas, stunning views, multiple pools, and a peaceful private beach area. The staff were exceptional from start to finish: friendly, attentive, and accommodating (even allowing early check-in after an overnight flight).

Our room, while large, clean, and featuring a comfortable bed with a breathtaking balcony view, felt dated and in need of refurbishment. The décor and furnishings were worn, the bathroom grout was badly discolored, and there were few outlets and no USB ports. Oddly, there was a second bed instead of a small table and chairs, and no coffee maker — just a kettle for instant coffee.

The spa and massage were fantastic, breakfast was plentiful, and the servers were kind and responsive. Afternoon tea, however, was served in drawers of a small nightstand rather than a traditional tray — an experiment I couldn’t quite embrace!

Despite these quirks, the staff, cleanliness, and location made our stay pleasant. With some room updates, this could easily be a five-star experience again.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The room was clean, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The balcony view was amazing, and the fresh sea air was just perfect. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices for everyone. Overall, such a great experience — I’d definitely love to come back!

The staff were lovely and service was mostly good (although room service was extremely slow). Room was very clean and comfortable but the decor and finish was quite dated. Good choice of bars, restaurants and outdoor spaces, although pools and terrace access was restricted on occasion for private events, which seems unfair to paying guests. It didn’t affect us as we went out, but may be inconvenient for those looking to stay at the resort to relax.

The staff at the hotel were great and welcoming. The condition of the hotel was jaded and in need of a full refit. I think it must have been last updated in the 1990's, finding plug sockets is challenging. The issue we had was with the huge construction site surrounding most of the hotel. If you want to lie in the sun being serenaded by angle grinders and drills then this is the perfect hotel. The drive/walk to the hotel is an adventure, dodging concrete trucks and lorries. We did complain about this to the hotel management and they could not care less. This construction is likely to be on going for many more months.

Great staff - and pool area/seaview OK BUT next to a massive construction site that worked all week (incl sunday). SO dont go unless you get upgraded to the seaview side and still con live with the noise/difficult acces on foot.

Rooms are spacious; breakfast was good enough with right spread. Despite early reminder and ready to pay said amount a sea-faced was told unavailable. Reception staffs were courteous though.

This was a wonderful hotel located on a bluff with very easy access to the swimming spots in the sea. Plenty of amenities and dining options, however, my wife being a vegetarian very limited options. Easy walking distance down to the bay with plenty more shopping and dining options. The entire hotel staff were courteous and provided great service. Enjoyed the spa facility and it was very clean. Actually the entire hotel and facilities were clean. Rooms were comfortable and loved the sea facing balconies to enjoy the gorgeous sunrises with my morning coffee during the stay. Overall, a great hotel, amenities, location and staff. Will definitely return.
