Having visited Malta multiple times, wanted to stay somewhere different on the island.
Staff were all very friendly & helpful.
Majority of the facilities are in the other hotels complex - pool, gym, sauna, lounge area. Frustrating when balcony overlooked another pool & lounge area below, but not for hotel guests to use.
Never known there to be so many restaurants on offer in a hotel complex. Only used for breakfast; did find some items were undercooked - each day was a different experience.
Bonus that there is a local bus stop right outside, great for getting from & to the airport.
Not sure for it’s future with a large new hotel, shopping mall & suites bringing constructed directly behind.

Sadly building hotels next door without prior notification when booking.The hotel was very dated and all needed modernising especially our room. The area was a disappointment ok if your on a stag/hen do ect.
Malta im sure was a beautiful country years ago but now all you see is cranes. So much building work everywhere.we didnt venture to gozo as on a short break ....maybe that was better?We were totally disappointed with malta and wish we hadnt gone .

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They kindly arranged a room change for me due to some noise from outside construction, which I really appreciated.

Lots of 4 to 5 star restaurants onsite with great views, also an American style sports bar.
Didn't use the spa or pools as it was February, but there was in and outdoor options.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile most especially Kesar, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The facilities were clean, modern, and very well maintained, providing everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Room was fine except the pillows were all feather filled. Asked for an alternative but none available and had to make do with towels for a pillow. Not great.

Huge construction site right outside our room so it was very noisy from early on including over the weekend.

There was no spa on site nor indoor pool. You can use the spa and pool at the next door hotel but the facility is small and shared between 3 hotels. Children are allowed to do what they like - jumping in, screaming etc so not a quiet relaxing spa experience.

Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and good transport links with a bus stop right outside the hotel.

I travel quite often, and Verdi Hotel has been one of my most memorable stays. The place is spotless, and Mr. Amit Rai’s ENTIRE stay is extremely helpful. Maite, the Chef, prepared special delicious food to accommodate my food allergies. My stay was for two weeks, I enjoyed it so much I could had stay longer.

We had a fantastic stay at the Verdi St George's Bay. Booked a large family room with Balcony and had great views over the bay. Room was spotlessly clean, with the essential kettle and plentiful supply of teabags and coffee.

Breakfast was excellent, and we had access to the indoor facilities (pool & gym) at the sister hotel (Corinthian) next door. We were visiting in January so it was a touch fresh to be using the selection of outdoor pools.

Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.

Firstly the staff were a joy! Maureen and Marco specifically made me feel very welcome and safe as a solo traveller. The food options are superb and fairly priced. Spa facilities are excellent and the treatments to die for!!!! The staff in the spa were so polite and friendly. I was made to feel like a VIP. Can’t recommend this place enough. Thanks to everyone for making my stay so incredibly special xxx

The hotel is very outdated, it is max 3 stars. Rooms are old, broken tiles, stains in the room and all over the hotel carpets. Cleaners do not collect dirty cups left in the lobby by hotel guests for days. Average customer service - I was supposed to get a free bottle of wine, which never came. Breakfast is not fresh and below average, eggs are like plastic. The only good thing about the hotel is the location and nice sea view of you get the room with the sea view.

Room was clean and plenty of towels. The hotel and sister hotels were very large and spread out. Great access to the many areas - pools, lounges, restaurants. Be aware that the property is a labyrinth. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I particularly had a great experience at the Italian restaurant with the manager for the evening.
Downside and just a note for front desk. I was given a room on the first floor. (Two floors below main reception area. I would have appreciated awareness from the front desk person that I was a solo female traveler and putting me essentially on the ground floor was not considered. The room was secured but I could not keep the patio door open when I was in the bathroom or dressing. People walking by had full view of my room so I had to keep the drapes drawn often. Made me feel a little less comfortable having to consider all these things while in the room.

The hotel surprised us as it was much nicer than the pictures appeared and we had access to swimming pool, gym and sauna for free. They also allowed us to store our luggage in a secure room before and after check-in time. Very good location, close to the shops and bars but not too close that it’s noisy.

Perfect location for peace and calm and great views, but just a 2 minute walk to the heart of St Julian’s, where there is a lot to do. Staff were excellent and very friendly.
There is a lot of construction of new hotels nearby, but this wasn’t disruptive during our time there.
100% we would return there.

The staff is nice but the hotel needs to be upgraded and have better staffing for housekeeping. The rooms are nice but older with only one useable outlet away from the beds. No usb charging. Bathroom had what looked like mold due to the bathroom door not being able to stay open thus trapping the heat in there. Toliet required multiple pull of the handle to flush properly.

Rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor are below the reception floor. The first floor is the basement level. The hallway smells of dirty cleaning products and you walk.out of the elevators and are greeted to the view of a kitchen. The hallways are dark and feels like you are on a cruiseship. The balconies on the first floor are level with people walking by and able to climb in if they wanted to. Not a nice feeling or view. Second floor is a bit better since people can't just climb into your balcony. The lounge chairs in front of some of the rooms is not part of the hotel but instead for EF company. So there will be a bunch of young students outside your balcony that aren't hotel guest and hotel guests can't access that area even though it's in front of your room.

Housekeeping needs to be better managed. One day they knocked on out door at 8:30am to clean the room. Another day we left at 8:30 am and came back at 3pm to a room that still hadn't been cleaned. There excuse was that they were fully booked and prioritized rooms that were being turned over. This poor scheduling of staff or they are short staffed.

The hotel has three shared pools with its neighbouring hotel (one of which is adult only) and access directly to the sea. It has several in site restaurants, a cafe and bars. We only ate in the restaurant once for dinner and it was expensive and pretty average. The breakfast buffet is ok - decent variety, but awful coffee, so we ended up using the hotel cafe each morning. We had a superior sea view room, which was spacious and well equipped, but be aware these rooms can be on the ground floor with people walking directly past your patio and able to see into our room. On the other side of the hotel is a large building site where other hotels are being constructed. We didn’t hear any noise from this (no work at night) but I imagine if your room faces it it’s less appealing. The staff were very helpful, particularly the manager, and arranged for us to be moved when there was an issue with our room. Finally, we had not realised when we booked that a few hundred metres away is Paceville, which is the party capital of Malta. Think Magaluf, with fewer Brits and more Europeans - hordes of 16-25 year olds, banging bass music, discarded pizza and rubbish everywhere in the morning. The Maltese do a good job of cleaning it up quickly, and it’s a very good natured scene, but you can definitely hear the music from the beach bars in your hotel room at night - and it goes on until about 6 am. So bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, a lovely holiday and a good hotel.

We booked a stay at Verdi in a Family Room Sea View (Superior) based on the photographs and description given by the property, but were sorely disappointed on arrival to be given a tired looking, queen/twin room masquerading as a family room. The decor and furnishings were old and the balcony was blatantly made for 2 people. I queried this with the hotel who were adamant this was a \"superior\" family room and had to involve Expedia. We were then told we could move to another family room after 2 days which was a lot more like the room I expected, but still somewhat tired looking. During the 2 days wait in the first room, we had students from the room above tipping beer and god knows what over their balcony which would make it's way into ours.
We eventually moved to an actual family room. However, we got the feeling that some of the staff were affronted by this and gave us somewhat of a cold shoulder. The cleaning staff were great, very thorough and friendly.
Breakfast was lovely, although one day we were told that we were already in having breakfast, which obviously wasn't the case. They did let us in but again, not without an accusatory look.
The surrounding area was brilliant if you were a student or a couple. The pools were very busy as they are mainly on the site of another sister hotel. Nearby beach was gravel and cigarette butts so not great. But Sliema was easily reached with a 45 minute work.
Would not stay here again. Or recommend to a family.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests specially Sushma. The location was perfect, close to key attractions and convenient transport options.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We loved staying here! The pools, facilities, and beach were everything we needed for our vacation. The sea view rooms had a great view of the Mediterranean. On top of that, the rooms were very clean and the staff always came by to tidy up daily. The breakfast was standard but the hotel staff was outstanding. The only negative is there is a lot of construction surrounding the property. Also, if you have a room near the beach then you will hear the partying and people on the beach in the middle of the night. The public bus stop is right outside the hotel which makes everything easy access. We had the best time and will be returning. Highly recommend!

Great hotel

The hotel is really nice and clean (daily cleaning). Located 5 min away from the lively area of St. Julian it offers access to lots of restaurants within walking distance. The area is safe an clean despite the construction site besides the hotel.
We had booked a superior room or so, and offered us free access to minibar - which we loved it - and a complementary bottle of wine. Breakfast - continental - was good with lots of options. The only downside of the hotel was the unheated swimming pool. For the current time, the weather was excellent, but the water in the sea and swimming pool was ice cold which somehow cut down out enthusiasm. Overall I would comeback and recommend staying here.

Tutto bene. Ci avevano promesso una camera lontana dal rumore e dalla vista delle gru, sono stati di parola. Ci siamo dimenticati che dietro al nostro hotel c'era un enorme cantiere. Vista spettacolare dalla camera. È vero che l'arredamento non ipermoderno , ma è comunque bello. Il bagno un po' datato ma spazioso e funzionale. Consigli? Rifare il wc e aggiungere un bidet nei bagni. Variare un po' di più l'offerta a colazione. Staff gentile sorridente e disponibile.

Comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and caters to all. The facilities were good. Only problem is the booming music from across the bay, which you can hear from the room. I asked to move but had to wait one more night, and they only moved me a few rooms down. This isn’t the hotels fault but it should be more sound proof. There is construction going on next door but it’s not noticeable from inside the hotel, it’s not noisy or causing any issues. The bus stops right outside the hotel which is useful. The staff are friendly, especially the cleaning staff.

Decent room overlooking the bay. Large beds. Helpful staff.

Would have been nice to know the hotel was just in front of a massive building site though.
