An awful (sleepless) first night in a room with curtains that didn’t properly cover the window and inadequate blinds not fully able to close. This meant that the room was not private. Room move denied as no rooms were available.

A wonderfully helpful staff member moved us to an upgraded room the next morning which was much better and the curtains covered the windows. Thus room had been refurbished so was much better than the first.

A lovely stay thereafter but spoiled by a terrible first night, not compensated in any way (considering the cost paid for such a poor night’s sleep) apart from the room upgrade which we considered was a minimum.

This hotel is really close to transportation links, and the stadthalle for events is a very short walk. However in an evening the locality is not the safest. That being said fantastic little hotel reasonably priced.

Bit of a walk into the centre of town and attractions be easily doable. Hotel was very clean, big rooms. The air conditioning absolutely sucks though. We stayed on the top floor and it was 23 degrees c and the room was super hot. Wouldn’t recommend in summer. Otherwise hotel was great

Our room was spacious and clean, with plenty of storage space for our luggage. The bathroom was clean with a good shower. The room was quite hot, even with the aircon on and the noise from the road outside meant it wasn't practical to have the window open, so we didn't sleep brilliantly. The location was good with amenities nearby and good transport links, but it's quite a long walk to the historic centre of Vienna.

Arte hotel was a clean, affordable, and friendly place that met all our needs. The service was excellent and the rooms were comfortable. When I requested a quiet room they gave us a room that's secluded from the common area and the other rooms. I would highly recommend to friends and would return again when I'm in Vienna.

I just had two minor disappointments, one of which is the lack of a kettle. It was freezing when I visited so missed having hot water when I needed. Also, I stayed in a smoke-free room but could smell cigarettes from the toilets sometimes. I assume it was the person next door and while it's not the hotel's fault, it was not pleasant.

Otherwise, I have nothing but compliments for the hotel. It's great to reach by public transport and have a lot of food and grocery options in the shopping mall just next door.

Nice location; a bit of a walk to downtown

The room was much nicer than I was expecting, given the hallways are rather dated. The staff were friendly and helpful and, while the location is a bit of a walk down to the city center, it's actually a very nice location with it's own charm, cafes, restaurants, and shopping. I opted to take an Uber to and from the train station. Normally I'd walk but it's just way too far and public transportation required a mix of walking and different bus lines. Uber took 15 minutes and was like $20.

I was there in December when all the Christmas markets were open. The hotel had a list of markets with their locations and how to get there. And two of the markets were actually very close to the hotel. Of the ones I went to, those were the two I enjoyed the most.

Its the staff that make this hotel, helpful in reception and the breakfast room, made to feel like returning guest rather than a ew guest. Love the art music themed areas, in our room, and the breakfast area, loved the lyrics etched on the mirrors. Please if possible pass on our thanks.

The hotel was clean and modern, and my room was spacious and comfortable. No complaints except I was disappointed not to hear music in the hotel itself - music just seemed to be their decorative theme, unless I missed something. I walked with a friend to the hotel about 8 PM from Westbanhof, and it was a bit dark along the way as most businesses were closed and there was an unlit park on the side street. A couple small clusters of young men were just standing around near the entrance to Lugar mini mall half a block from the hotel. No one approached us, but I felt a little uncomfortable about that. Inside the mall itself was fine, but overall the Westbanhof area 10 minutes down the road felt safer and livelier to me so I probably would have enjoyed it more for the same price.

Hotel was near the bus and tram stations, which was very convenient and made it so easy to go to downtown.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
When we first arrived, the room wasn't clean, but we called them and they took care of it right away.

I enjoyed my recent stay at the hotel. Room was very comfortable with air conditioning, excellent shower and bathroom facilities. House keeping did a great job making sure i always came back to a well kept room. House keeping are the unsung heroes of every well run establishment. Front of house staff were excellent, respectful, helpfull and courteous at all times and are a credit to the hotel. Superb coffee, nice bar and patio area. Excellent walking distance to Vienna for me. I absolutely adore Vienna so enjoyed walking everywhere. For those who prefer transportation the trams and underground station are just around the corner from the hoel to whisk you away to any part of the city. Overall just fabulous i have no complaints at all. Thank you to all the staff for making this visit to Vienna a wonderful experience and i will be back in the future. 🙂

Honestly, I was disappointed when I arrived to the hotel. The rooms were somewhat clean, but had stains on the wall, hair on some of the sheets, dust under the desk, etc. Also there may or may not have been bed bugs in our room, I saw a bug above my bed so small I thought it was a crumb on the wall and zoomed in with my camera to see a bug that strongly resembled a bed bug. Although the customer service was okay, I don’t think I would stay here again.

Room size adequate, with mini fridge, but unplugged.

Room had electric blinds which was cool.

Breakfast was ok, pretty standard, nothing special.

Rooms on the street side are very noisy. The hotel is near a shopping mall, deliveries 5am-10am. Banging, noise, men shouting, doors slamming etc. Can't open windows overnight. So room very stuffy and no real aircon.

Room generally clean, but there were hairs in the sink and shower. Also hairs on the supposedly clean towels.

Staff mostly friendly and accommodating. However, the price of drinks seemed to change every round, normally increasing.

There was one member of staff who had the most appalling attitude. Our last night the shower flooded badly. We couldn't shower or use the toilet.

We phoned reception. Staff member claimed he didnt understand what bathroom is flooded means. Then he said he would send a colleague up.

No one came. We needed sleep due to early flight the next day. Went to reception, treated with contempt, eye rolls, told us he couldn't help, was on his own. So sending someone was a LIE!

He was at the bar pouring drinks slowly, while looking at us rolling his eyes.

Basically appalling customer service. No apologies.

The staff in the morning when we checked out were apologetic, which we appreciated. Still doesn't take the bad taste away.

Didn't need that contempt and unhelpfulness on our last night when we should have been resting.

We wouldn't return

Everything was superb at arte Hotel Wien Stadthalle. I flew to Vienna and checked in on a Wednesday to attend the Il Divo concert that evening. I left the next day. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and was able to walk to the Stadthalle and return in the later evening hours in perfect comfort. I hope to book another Vienna trip within a couple of months. I plan to stay at arte Hotel Wien Stadthalle. I felt as if I hit the jackpot in discovering this place online.

Bad time with arte Hotel Wien. The room was totally different from the website pictures. It called \"yard view\", but turned out a patio inside the hotel, it was even opposite the hotel kitchen, which made room smelled really bad. We booked for four night, but only stayed for one night cause bad condition. However, the hotel REFUSED to refund any fees, they even said because of COVID, the tourism was badly effected, so they decided not to refund.

The room is very clean and reasonably spacious. There are many rooms on each floor, I had the one at a very end and it a long long way from the elevator. I had no problem with that, however if walking is a problem I would suggest to tell the hotel ahead.

Comfortable hotel close to the U Bahn. The staff were superb! Extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a good range of hot and cold food. Our only observation is that there are no tea or coffee facilities. I realise that this is more if a British thing though.

Wonderful and extremely helpful staff! We traveled there for our honeymoon and concert. It was quick to the venue and to the subway. We didn't get anything for our honeymoon like most hotels but we only stayed one night. It was clean and the ambience is so fun! We also needed medical assistance and they were more than helpful. It was a bit loud, thin walls, but otherwise great!

Its a mix, rooms were bright but response from staff upon advising them of uninvited guest in room (Mouse), i was pretty much asked to prove it. Pitty i didn't make video, but yet they were aware of it from previously.

was moved to different room, but bed was so moving as you sit and put your back on the head, bed would be moved beneath you, not secured.

Moreover, housekeeping will walk in the door by knocking and not waiting for even 1 second, happened twice.

No towels at all in the room when moved to different room, realised at 10 at night and had to go all the way down at reception to collect towels.

ultimately, when reported all this to front office manager and asked for refund, was refused and only offered was 1 night refund out of 5 night.

such an inconvenience and unpleasent stay, to which I was looking forward

LOTS OF PROS AND CONS
The hotel is 15 minutes' walk from Westbahnhof train station and one block away from the U6 subway line. The staff are helpful and kind. The rooms are good, with nice beds and furnishings.

However, the hotel is directly above a loading dock for a shopping center and every morning at 530am, they started loading and unloading equipment, merchandise, etc. Loud trucks, men yelling, slamming things down. You don't need an alarm clock in this hotel because you will be awake at 530am for sure.

The location is not as convenient for the tourist. Pretty far from the city center. Secondly, on the second night of our stay in the hotel, we opened our windows as tge airconditioning wasn't cold enough. Moments after opening the window, numerous small mosquitoes of some sort flew in our rooms. It was horrible. We had to get a number of toilet paper sheets to try to kill each and everyone that we could. As we were afraid we might get bitten by those mosquitoes. On the walls that we couldn't reach the mosquitoes, I just had to spray on the walls with my lemongrass aromatherapy oil and hope they would go away. Also had to spray sone on our pillows and beds to keep them away from us.

It’s close to the city centre. Burggasse stad is the closest station to the hotel. And this can be accessed from U6 line. The hotel is comfortable, clean and bar is open 24/7.
The breakfast is a good to with a good selection to choose from.

Dislike (minor one)

You can hear when people are passing in the corridor whilst your in your room. I think this may be due to the floor not being reinforced. This can be a little annoying in the night.
