Really nice period hotel upgraded. Inside the city wall close to everything. Wish we spent at least another full day in the city. Had a blast here, hotel breakfast was fantastic. 10 minute walk from train station, no need for a car unless you pack a large suitcase. Would definitely go back

The hotel was such a nice place to stay with a great convenient location very close to the main square and many resaurant options. They have outdoor and underground parking, but you will first have to check in and let the person at reception know that you want to park. The have a self-service drink area with vending machines that had alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if we're back in the area.

we stayed 3 nights in double deluxe room, parking was good plenty of parking both underground and open paid daily. breakfast was excellant . now they have got coaches in for earlier breakfast and everyone else from 8am. it was much quiter than before stays. however for a non smoking hotel the balcony was shared with everyone else on the floor and they were all smoking out there (ash trays were provided) and the smell came into our room.for non smokers this was very unpleasant. the room did come with coffee machine and kettle.hotel staff very helpful and did help us arrange extra night when we changed iternary of our trip thank you.

The staff at this establishment are exceptionally kind and understanding. We had a hard time getting to Rothenburg—got lost, couldn’t get a taxi from the train station, it was dark and cold and we were traveling with 3 kids and don’t speak German. The front desk lady summoned a taxi to us and stayed past the desk closing time to ensure we arrived and got checked in safely. So caring and just what we needed. I wish we had stayed longer. The hotel amenities are excellent and the town is spectacular.

One of the best selections of buffet items I've seen in my European travels. Our room was spacious, and they welcomed you with a small token of candy and included bottle of water. Parking was close by and had two options: underground or external. Our friends did the underground and said the spots were tight. I suggest the external - it is about two streets down from the hotel. Pull up to the hotel first and check in and they will direct you to parking. There is a parking fee but reasonable. Overall, great experience here.

The building was historic but well kept, with a nice garden and very good breakfast for 5 EUR. The old town is small enough to walk anywhere within the walls so the location was great. Quietly Cozy, and Comfortably Quaint
We wanted to experience the charm of this little German town of Rothenburg that we had read so much about....well, not only did we love strolling through the cobblestone streets....but coming back to our room at the Altes was the perfect ending of our day. Mr Klaus checked us in...and provided an upgraded room which could not have been nicer.......A cozy corner room with plenty of windows to watch the falling snow on the rooftops. We appreciated that it was in the older part of the building....adding to the charm.... #310....

Rothenburg ob der Taub is a magical place. Inside the town walls is full of fantastic eating venues and interesting walks especially at the top of the wall and up the tower. Outside the walls in particular downhill there are many other walks and two small villages with bar/restaurants. Antes Brauhaus is especially clean, well appointed and a nice hot/cold breakfast. Fully recommended.

Great for a family with children...
We have a 7 and 5 year old. The hotel had a kids corner where kids can play while adults enjoy a couple of drinks. We stayed in an apartment in the attic that sleeps 5 and it was very roomy and clean. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom with shower box as well as bath tub was huge and kitchen well stocked. Great rooftop views out of the little windows around the room. Staff spoke very good English. Breakfast was a nice spread and very reasonable too. Lovely ambience. Only 5 minute walk to the town square. Will definitely return again!

Cozy hotel close to the town center
Cozy and pretty hotel close to Markt Plaz and main streets of the town. The owner was not very happy when I checked in late at night around 11pm due to train delay and refused some of our requests such as providing Wi-Fi ID and password, which was only active for 24 hours and we needed to request every day. Room was cozy and nice, but not air-conditioned.

Right near the central square and shopping street. Restaurants are all German and some Italian, we were able to find vegetarian food nearby. Big plus was underground parking at this hotel for a fee.

Wonderful hotel in city center
The hotel itself appears to be recently renovated and is quaint and fits in with the medieval town. The rooms were spacious and the large windows allowed maximum air flow, which was important because it was hot and the hotel has no air conditioning. Our rooms opened onto a balcony with tables and seating. The view of the old city and the surrounding farm land was spectactular and the smell of flowers was pleasant. The breakfast buffet was set up in a medieval room with arched, high ceilings and had everything you could want.
If we ever go back to this town, we would most likely stay in this hotel again.

The Altes Brauhaus is very well located for exploring the ancient walled city of Rothenburg. It has an underground car park (for an extra charge) and very clean, comfortable rooms. Ours was a large family room. It does not do meals in the evening, but is a short walk to a variety of restaurants.

Great hotel, a lot bigger than you would imagine right in the heart of the old town. The underground parking (for a small fee) is great as you can't park on the street in the old town unless you are a resident. The breakfast is an unbeatable €5! The hotel does cater for large tour groups also... but the service was never compromised!
