We did not have the breakfast as we found the pricing too high, but the room was large and comfortable. One rude staff member at the desk, but also one super helpful one as well. The town is gorgeous and the location of this hotel is fantastic. We did eat lunch here, which was excellent, but u fortunately the beer garden was closed due to the timing of our trip (late Oct). I would definitely come back and recommend this establishment.

My husband wasn't feeling goid that morning, so i went down to the front desk at 7 am to let them know we were not able to make breakfast. She was gokng to charge me 80%, which under the circumstances seems a but unfair. She finally relented. The rest of the staff were great.

However, the staff wasn’t very friendly, and the wooden floors are quite squeaky, which can be a bit annoying. Still, it’s a nice place to stay — just make sure to book parking in advance! 🚗✨

The room was stunning and the bathroom beautiful with all its marble! The tub was extra large and definitely worth the nice soak after a cold rainy day. The bed was very comfortable. We ordered the buffet breakfast which had a variety of breads, fruits, veggies, meats and yogurt options. Thwy had a variety of options for coffee machine and tea available too. Very delicious!

While the location of this hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, our stay was far from perfect. The town itself is very challenging to drive through, and the designated parking area is quite a walk from the hotel. We were told our room would be ready at 1 p.m. but had to wait until 3 p.m. for check-in. The room was large and offered plenty of space, but the heat was unbearable due to a lack of air conditioning. The most disappointing part, however, was the bed. Both the mattress and pillows were extremely hard, and we ended up with little to no sleep. Staying for just one night was a relief. For future guests, we hope the hotel considers replacing the old, uncomfortable mattresses and pillows.

Wow, what is not to like about our stay in Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber. Beautiful and scenic town right outside the Hotel Eisenhut. The room exceeded itself. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Lots of special touches with soaps, shampoos and makeup remover pads. The room did not come with a tea kettle, but we just got a carafe of hot water from the lobby. The staff was always great and helpful. Just beware that there is stairs in this hotel, but they do offer a small elevator. We really enjoyed the place and just wished we were able to stay longer.

We weren't sure what to expect from the room - and we were stunned. It was big - I've had smaller apartments. Had a room at the rear of the property that overlooked the biergarten/restaurant, with a view of the city. French doors opened all the way for fresh air. We were on the top floor, so there wasn't a balcony, so if that's your thing, ask for a second-floor room.
Rothenburg is very walkable. We took the train there, and the property is only about a 15-minute walk from the Bahnhof. We'd visit again.

Park outside any of the city walls that go around the entire old town you will need your phone on roaming to find the hotel. for a 7 euro a day to park… pay with credit card for each 24 hours you are there. Then walk in . Once you get your footing it’s pretty easy. Very worth going. Try to exchange euro at a bank not an atm in the tourist area bc they will charge you a lot! Like 30$ per 100 euro rip off. Also have euro on hand bc many restaurants do not accept credit card or us cash. It’s euro only .

They gave us incorrect room, we booked a double bed they gave us 2 single separate beds. Front desk lady was indifferent and uninterested in her job. Parking wasn’t shown properly as a result of which we kept circling around narrow pathways which is a big problem in the small town anyway. A little hard to find driving through the old town streets but once we found the hotel it was in a perfect location to explore the historic town of Rothenburg.

Firstly, the hotel was beautiful. Made up of 12th /18th centiry house, located right in the center. Large lobby & the staff were very attentitive. There is a lift which is needed if you have heavy luggage. The hotel, as expected has twists & turns on each floor (it was a house & designed as such). The room was very spacious & modern. No aircon in the room, again that is expected due to the limitations of altering the property. The bathroom was very dated & needed in desparate need of an upgrade. Next cause a problem for us. If you're not driving it won't affect you. In the centre you need to negotiate around cobbled streets that only one car can fit down. Only a small challenge. We parked outside of the hotel which was great.There is parking but on the opposite side of the street. Maxium parking is 2 hours for €4 which is fine. The receptionist gave me a card to put in the car window while I was unloading. THEN...I had the drive my car outside of the city walls & leave it there overnight. In the morning I had to go fetch my car & drive it to the hotel. I went to pay for parking but was abruptly told by a nosey German shop keeper I couldnt park there. I said I was paying but she said I wasnt allowed. Parking is only allowed from 9:00am. Expect to receive a parking ticket if you're leaving early. The receptionist helped & we put the sign in the car, I went to fetch my daughter/luggage. Loaded & left. So if you're driving beware. Not the hotel's fault, more the council.

Location was perfect. Room included balcony with a nice view of the garden and city. The breakfast was an additional charge but was delicious and had various options. The driving there was a bit complicated since google Maps wasn’t updated on streets with construction. However, once we found the hotel, the staff were super helpful in letting us park in front of hotel to unload our luggage and check in and provided us instructions on how to get to the parking outside the city walls. We paid around €7 for 24 hr parking outside the city walls with a mostly flat 10min walk back to the hotel. Luggage storage was available after check out. Overall, great stay!

Parking is limited and away from the premises although other parking areas are within a 10 minute walk, closer if you are happy to pay every 2 hours as town parking is designed for short term. We parked outside the town wall and paid €7 for 24 hours.

The hotel is very nice and much bigger and nicer than you might think from the street. There are no screens on the windows, so I had to wake up in the middle of the night and kill mosquitoes. As well, the drunk people in the street were very loud, but it would have been uncomfortable to close the window.

Very old and charming hotel. Loved that it provided a mini fridge but no AC and no safe. Parking inside the old town is not recommended but luckily, the hotel allows you to park for 15 min while you get your suitcases into your room.you then have to go park outside the city walls which is about a 10 min walk.

The building is quite historic and the charm is still intact. Rooms were large, beds comfy. There is no air conditioning, but a rain storm came through and cooled the evening down, otherwise it would have been quite toasty. The bathroom only had a handheld shower connection which isn’t very user friendly, but we made due for one night.
