I have never been greeted by a person who doesn’t say anything to make me feel welcome. On the way out she said nothing. Not even good morning, how was your stay, have a safe trip.
I have stayed in too many hotels, first time the people at the counter acts this way.

The lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. She gave us recommendations for vising the gulf coast beaches. The breakfast was tasty and more than just cereal and muffins. The room was comfortable and we even got a new mattress on our 3rd night. The room was cleaned appropriately after installing the mattress. We didn't get a chance to use the pool. It was somewhat small but appeared clean. We enjoyed our stay.

So, when we first arrived, I was a tad concerned because no one was there or ever showed up but then after a few tries from corporate lol the guy in the back woke up and was beyond helpful. Mind you it was 1 A.M. so no hard feelings, I just started to get scared no one was coming and it had been a long drive. But honestly that was the literally only bad thing about the whole stay. Everyone was beyond nice, the room was immaculate, and I am pretty sure they just went through a very nice full renovation. I loved the breakfast and they even had a social on Wednesday evening.

Breakfast was good, better than most. A minor quibble--the French toast strips were chewy. The hotel is screened from the Southwest Freeway by other hotel buildings--a plus. Parking was easy and adequate.

Part of the bedroom floor groaned when we walked on it. We were on the 3rd floor, and 4th floor footfalls were heavy. We heard voices from the next room in our bedroom. Sound separation should be better.

Overall, the hotel seemed very well run.

We have been staying in this hotel for several years now when we are in town for dance competition. It has always been one of the nicer places to stay. They seem to have upgraded some of the furnishings. It all is very lovely! The staff as always, are really helpful and friendly! The rooms are well kept and cleaned. The bed is super comfy with fresh clean sheets and blankets. The bath/shower has great water pressure and continuous hot water, which we love. My daughter soaks her legs every night after each night of dance, so not running out of or not having hot/warm water because someone else beat us to the bath was an A+ amenity. The parking is well lit up, and we have never had any issues with our cars being tampered with. The area continuous to feel safe. They are plenty of food options close by as well for those who do not wish to travel far away from the hotel. The only thing that was different that was a ugh to us this trip that never was issue before is their breakfast. It seems off ... or different than it was the years before. One of the additional perks we liked that made us choose this place was the breakfast. We have to get up so early to prep and get ready that it was nice to be able to just go downstairs and get good breakfast without having to leave. Idk what they changed, but it was not as good. We did end up having to go elsewhere to get food.
Overall, we did enjoy our stay!

Overall good stay for a fair price

The look of the overall hotel was good. My room was very spacious and had everything I needed to feel comfortable. However, when I walked in to the room it smelled humid and looks dated. The kitchen had a full refrigerator which was nice. The bathroom was good however a few of the tiles where the sink is were lose and would move a little when I would walk into the bathroom. The bed was decent as well slept fine both nights. The AC to my room was EXCELLENT. The cleanliness of my room was excellent as well I think it was the main reason I was comfrotable because although the furniture was outdated the room felt clean.

This property was awesome, had an actual suite and kitchen with real room service/cleaning. Was offered commentary drinks(water/orange juice) to come home from work to.

I was more than pleasantly surprised upon entering this facility, and in meeting the manager. Everything from beginning to end was more than acceptable, it was excellent!! This will be my hotel of choice on any future trips to the Sugarland and Houston areas.

We stay here every year when my daughters dance comp brings us to town. The area is quiet, safe with plenty of food options after dance. The staff is always friendly, and the rooms are always clean. The parking lot is easy and seems to be safe, never had any issues while staying here. The breakfast is very good, better than many other hotel options in the area ... which is plus and we enjoy.

The property lacks maintenance, the microwave oven didn't work and the person in front just said there's another microwave oven downstairs. They have a huge problem with cockroaches and they never take out trash in the rooms, much less replenish or clean the room. Terrible experience.

The staff was friendly. The property is run down. The outdoor furniture is broken and dirty. The worst part was the room while it was spacious and appeared clean there were roaches in the room. When I was checking the mattress for bed bugs I found a HUGE, at least 12 inch, blood stain on the mattress. I ended up leaving early and not using my second night.

Pros.: Very nice and clean. Comfortable bed and all expectations met.
Cons: light in kitchen area hums real loud. Probably a simple fix. Broken tile in bath. Need to inspect rooms for damaged and non working items. All in all fantastic stay. Thanks

The pictures of the rooms are deceiving in terms of the quality of the room. The breakfast was missing simple things like cream cheese for bagels and had two to three items.

The lobby, and hallways are 10 times better than the room themselves. $140 for a night is definitely not worth it for this.

This property is the definition of old. Our room has ants in it. Everything in the room and hallways are old, peeling or worn. We stayed one night and checked out.

I have been staying at home wood suites properties for many years and I have noticed on my last few stays that the hotels have become run down, lacking Usual amenities (specifically kitchen amenities) snd are feeling more like a motel than before. This has been my go to chain when looking for a facility that has kitchen amenities but this last stay was the last straw.
First, it was impossible to sleep as the temperature in the room was difficult to regulate and it was freezing or scorching hot and musty, no matter what temp you put it on. My entire family got sick from the poor air quality and I’m sure the black substances on the underside of the mattress was mold ( forgot to take a photo).
We checked our hours earlier because we could not wait to leave.
We tried to get another room but were told they were sold out for a family reunion.
The carpet was very dirty and the kitchen lacked the usual items they we’re used to seeing at these proprieties. It was very disappointing. My kids were there for a sporting event and could not perform as planned because they got sick (I’m sure from the air in the room) I was. Extremely disappointed with the stay and if I hadn’t prepaid I would
Have left and found another place to stay. This will be my last stay at home woods.

The stay was good but the services that Homewood provided before are not apparent today. Perhaps there is a staff shortage.
