The first thing that greeted us through the lobby doors was a giant cockroach that scared my young daughters. The rooms were standard and okay. But upkeep and maintenance has not been maintained. The lid of the ice bucket was broken, corner wall protector was falling off the wall. The mirror of our room was dirty and chipped on the edges. The worst was that the toilet would flush, but not drain properly. As for the pool, it had a lot of dead bugs and tree parts and leaves. The ground around the pool was covered with ants as well. Breakfast was very limited. Probably due to the fact that there are a lot of Asian restaurants in walking distance with better breakfast options.

The A/C was not working on the elevator, the A/C in the room was off and therefore the room had a terrible smell. The breakfast was not included for the three people staying in the room. Only two vouchers were included and the third person needed to pay $13.00. Really bad experience overall that we had to cut our trip short and ended up leaving one day early. Not recommended!

The service got worse since the 2025 Christmas time we stayed at this APC hotel.
I think the owner must have been changed or the management must have been changed because the breakfast was terrible !!

The room was acceptable for the price, and I did not have high expectations. The location is very good, with many restaurants within walking distance that stay open late, even after midnight.

However, one negative point is that I booked a room for three people, but the reservation only included breakfast for two. I booked through Expedia and did not see any information stating this limitation. Although I did not plan to use the breakfast anyway, I was disappointed with how this was handled and the way it was communicated.

Room was in good condition. Staff was helpful. However, the parking can be chaotic not by hotel guests but by people driving through and use it as parking for the stores next door. Hotel owner needs to restrict parking for hotel guests only and close the back gate at night. My kid was almost ran over by rude people use parking as shortcut.

Overall, I must say that this place is one of the worst places we've stayed. First, the room smelled of I'm not sure what. I couldn't stop sneezing, so I had to take an antihistamine to get my sneezing under control. There was a continuous low humming coming from the bathroom that sounded like it was coming from the room next to ours. Last, and the biggest frustration, was the bed! My side felt like a massive crate had landed and had left a dent, so much so that when I lay down, my heel would lift off the mattress! My husband said that his side was also uncomfortable. Not as big a dent compared to my side, but there was definitely a dent on his side as well. Yeah, we both didn't get a good rest. There are plenty of hotels in the vicinity that are comparable in price, so we will not be returning to this one.

Excellent value for the price. Clean room, kind staff. The most excellent feature is that the Dun Huang plaza is RIGHT THERE. You can get dim sum, ramen, boba, groceries, a foot massage...it's all there. And you don't have to park! It's so affordable that I don't mind so much about breakfast, because I'd just get it at the plaza. Note that you do need to ask the front desk for a breakfast ticket if you want to eat there, and it's limited to two people per room. Didn't apply to us, but may apply to others.

The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was decent. But the hallways and room had very foul smells. The first room they assigned us to was so bad with what smelled like dog feces, and had to ask them for a room change. The hotel is very old and needs to be updated. The downstairs lobby is very noisy with video slot machines. Even though it is a non-smoking hotel, our room and bedding smelled like cigarette smoke.

Room was good but water service in the entire building was turned off for maintenance when I arrived. Water was scheduled to be back on by 3:00PM but was not restored until 5:30. They also need new bath towels - the ones I had were rough as 80 grit sandpaper. Free breakfast was good. Everything considered it was an OK stay, nothing great.

I chose this hotel bc we returned from an overseas trip and wanted to be near Chinatown for late night jetlag hunger. Unfortunately, the stay was extremely disappointing.

We were first given #523, but the bed was unmade and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. After a 20+ hr flight, this was the last thing we expected. The front desk was friendly but had to call her boss, Jose, to approve moving us to the 6th floor as it's a premium floor. Even though I booked a room with a jetted tub and #523 didn’t have it. Jose also mentioned no housekeeping for 5th floor on the day of our arrival.

Breakfast was another issue. No one told us at check-in that a voucher was needed for breakfast I had to go back to the front desk, where the staff asked about my name, room and how many nights I was at the hotel, even though the system already had the information. The breakfast options were extremely limited, and there was no OJ bc the truck hadn’t arrived. For 2 mornings, each guest had to get their own voucher, causing a line w/only 1 staff working.

The biggest concern was a health hazard: guests were expected to reuse the same plate for multiple buffet trips. This may be against Texas food safety standards and poses risks of cross contamination and food borne illness.

While our final room was clean, the operational issues, inefficiency, and food safety concerns made this stay far below expectations. Not to mention the interior of the rooms are quite dated.

They said the hotel policy for every room only 2 coupons , If you book 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 you’re just received 2. If the room they book 3 children come with their parents how they enjoy breakfast? That’s why we will not come back this hotel again. Sorry.

Location is good. Parking excellent. Greeted by a very friendly staff member upon check in. Good snacks to choose from at FD. Easy check in, quick. Room was good. Shower and water temp a highlight. Good towels. Workout room solid. Breakfast was very good. Disappointing that the bed was well worn and was sleeving in a divet. If your back isn't great like mine, this is problematic. Also, the pool/jacuzzi was closed. Picking this hotel for the jacuzzi was an one of our main reasons. Overall, good stay. Just not good nights sleep nor the hot tub.

The hotel was sparsely occupied during my stay. The breakfast is a hot breakfast with eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal and cold cereal options, and fresh fruit. Definitely better than a continental breakfast. The coffee was fair, but not great. The basin in the sink in my room's bathroom was cracked. The room was dark regardless of how many lights I turned on. The mattress was softer than what I prefer. There was no hot water in my room in the morning -- I let the water run for 30 minutes hoping it would warm up, but it did not. The only vending option was the market in the foyer of the hotel with expensive options. The business center was well stocked. I did not use the swimming pool, but it appeared to be clean. There is a shopping center behind the hotel with multiple excellent Asian dining and dessert options. If you're a smoker, you will appreciate the patio located adjacent to the dining room.

I had mixed feelings about this hotel, while the location and the hotel itself are nice, but some of the staff members need serious training! A lot of equipment are broke such as: gym equipment, TV in the gym, drinking fountains at the pool and it’s hard to get a maintenance person to do anything about it.

Staff was amazing, super friendly! We will definitely be back. They were outstanding and took extra measures to make our children feel welcomed and were beyond patient with my special needs son.
