The hotel is beautiful, and the staff are very friendly and helpful — I really appreciated their kindness and warm attitude. However, during the night, it was a bit noisy as some guests were talking and shouting loudly, which made it hard to sleep. Also, there weren’t enough towels provided in the room, which was a little inconvenient.

Other than that, everything else was great — the hotel’s atmosphere is nice, and I enjoyed my stay overall. I hope they can improve sound management and provide more towels to make the experience even better.

The receptionist got my last name confused with a similar one but was quick to fix the issue. The hotel porter also helped me get a special charger since they have different outlets. The only bad things that I found in my room was a weird white powder in the folder under the tv and ants that suddenly appeared after I finished taking a shower. Overall, I had a pleasant sleep and a delicious breakfast.

The staff was excellent, the lobby is nice. I wasn’t so happy with the room though:
1) the kettle was broken (the staff changed it quickly, so that speaks pretty highly of the good service)
2) the balcony door was broken and couldn’t lock (safety threat when sleeping).
3) wifi extremely weak
4) cups not super clean, one in a small storage next to the fridge wasn’t cleaned.

For some reason, our breakfast was not included and Haffsa the IT manager very kindly offered 1 breakfast as gesture of goodwill. She was very polite and professional.
Also housekeeping was excellent especially the lady Bauchra was particular about the cleanliness and kept the room spotless. Highly recommended. Will go there again

It was the first day we arrived in Casablanca. We got a room and then I found that there was a broken mirror on the clothset so I notified the staff and requested for a new room. Apparently, we have to wait for an hour for a new room and we are very tired from the traveling from the airport and needed to use the bathroom.

I will never book here again.

This has to be one of the worst experiences I’ve had to date. From my bookings not being updated as requested to phone calls from staff after 1am to request proof of marriage (a practice that has since been abolished and either way was not acceptable to contact and wake clients at this time for anything other than an emergency).
I am disgusted by how we have been treated, the lack of professionalism and management has been abhorrent. We will be formally complaining to the British consulate, and Kenzi Group, as well as sharing this experience online.

Though the hotel was good enough to let me check in early, I also had to note that I had written them twice by email to ask about their hotel transfer service from the airport. I showed the guy at the desk and he had no answer. Service is hotel restaurant was very slow and they were out of a lot of (most?) items. Breakfast was plentiful but not very good.

The immediate area is not welcoming and the balcony is not clean or usable. Ended up leaving after checkin to stay at a different hotel. Don’t recommend at all.

This hotel is perfectly situated near many of the points of interest in central Casablanca. There is a terrific pastry shop directly across the street, and other essentials nearby.
The staff are very helpful, and we enjoyed ourselves in the small bar-cocktail lounge.
In addition, the hotel honoured a credit for rooms we booked just before the pandemic. This was more than fair on their part.

We would stay here again.

The bedding had a stale smell to it. If we were not so tired with flights and travel. It would have been difficult to have slept. The bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked. But the service and attitude of the staff was too notch. I could not fault their helpfulness.

This is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel. Very dirty carpet, stinky toilet, basin sucks, and dirty towels. The buffet breakfast is totally chaos. Coffee machine not working, dirty coffee cup, and all the tables in a mess…. etc. Food selection is very limited. The hotel location is good.

I stayed in room 604 and the water pressure in the shower area is practically non existent. So if you want to have a good shower at the end of the day, do not stay here. I didn’t bother to ask for another room As I found out about it only when I was ready to take a shower.

Great location, lots of action at the tram station just around the corner. Hotel is nice but dated. That’s not an issue for me, but the shower head in our bathroom was awful. Just needs replaced from years of hard water buildup. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great WiFi which is a plus. Casablanca is crazy busy, be prepared for an hour + drive just to get out of the city from the hotels downtown location when you leave.

Customer service is lacking!

The receptionists were not very helpful or welcoming.

When asked about hammams, they just showed us a flyer, without any explanation or anything about the prices.

When asked about the price of a taxi to go to the mall, she just said \"taxi meter\". I am not sure why she expects a tourist to be able to pay taxi meter in Casablanca when she works in the tourism industry! Casablanca (Morocco in general) taxis are known to charge their own \"negotiated\" rate -- this is the type of experienced knowledge we'd expect from the hotel receptionist such that we don't get unknowingly ripped off!

Also, another hotel guest in front of us had trouble activating her SIM card. The receptionist told them to go back to the convenience store to do it -- utterly unhelpful especially since any local could help listen to the phone instructions and a convenience store worker is unlikely to have a good enough command of English to help the poor tourist.

Overall, a lot of improvement in customer service is necessary to achieve a truly 4-5 star rating. On the other hand, the hotel is pretty good.

A little disappointed with this experience....

The room is comfortable, but the bathroom needs to be improved (water stagnates every time I take a shower or wash my hands).
WiFi quality is VERY POOR!!!
What I ordered for the room service was not exactly what I receive (without any explanation form the reception?!)
The strange this is I had to pay all the booked days at the checking??!!
A lot of noise even if my room is not located in the main facade.

Pros - This hotel was very clean and modern. Check in was easy and quick and the doorman helped us get taxis during our stay as we had a bit of a language barrier
Cons - This hotel has almost no sound proofing from either outside or from the hallways. This may be typical for all Morocco but it made sleeping really difficult as you vould here every horn and bird and conversation that happened on the street below.

The Kenzi Basma is an 8-story modern hotel with clean spacious rooms, 24-HR front desk, high-speed Internet connection, a formal on-site restaurant, a doorman for security, and 3 banks of elevators. Our 7th floor unit had a view of the Grand Mosque. Within 7 minutes walk to the Medina. Previous reviews complained about the room safe and the WiFi connection. We initially had problems, too, but the front desk staff showed us what WE were doing incorrectly and all problems were resolved. For example, the heating/cooling remote control must be detached from its wall holster and pointed at the wall unit. Wonderful French pastry shop on the corner nearest the hotel. NOTE: take a taxi from the train station. (Two stations which both connect to the airport. Casa Port is much closer to the hotel. Always try to get a metered taxi but Casablanca taxi drivers are notorious for charging outrageous fees to tourists. Our first night we paid the equivalent of $10 for what should have been a $2 trip. But it was midnight when we arrived at the train station and we didn't know where we needed to go to get to the hotel.) Final tip: always get your Moroccan currency at an ATM, not a currency exchange.

There is very little to like about this property, with the possible exception that it is only a 10 minute walk to the medina. The rooms are small, uncomfortable and every piece of furniture and carpet could stand a strong cleaning. The staff are remarkably unhelpful. For the money, go elsewhere.

On Tuesday through Saturday a Moroccan band with a female vocalist perform with no cover. They are outstanding, one of the best I’ve ever heard. And at the same time a large screen in the restaurant/bar has a very interesting and fun subtitled film on Burning Man playing. Good drinks. Excellent, lively evening w/o even leaving the hotel.

Check in was smooth. Credit card machine was not working and they were amazed we did not want to pay in cash. They Finally got the machine to work. No bottled water except from mini bar. The taxi they called for us was from one of many off the street, and since it had no meter we were left to negotiate a price.

Avoid this hotel! Go to Odyssee instead!

We booked for 2 nights and FULLY PAID at the time of booking. Unfortunately, our plane was delayed so we missed the first night of our stay. We informed the hotel via the emails listed on their official website.
When we arrived the next day, we were told because we were a \"no show\" they had booked over our FULLY PAID reservation. They claimed not to receive my emails. So they were transferring us to another equivalent hotel (actually, Odyssee was MUCH BETTER).
The taxi they put us in took us to the WRONG address. Bear in mind, we had just landed and had no maps, no internet, and at this point they hadn't even told us WHICH hotel we were meant to be at. It took about four hours to find the right hotel by asking favours of other hotels in the area to help, then making dangerous busy road crossings with luggage. Odyssee was excellent - if you're reading this, book them instead, TRUST ME.
Kenzi Basma did not pay for the hotel stay at Odyssee and we had to pay out of pocket again. They then refused to refund our stay for our paid booking with them, and also refused to refund the Odyssee stay. They pocketed our $300 and didn't give any service!
We complained to hotels.com and Kenzi Basma LIED on three occasions:
1) They said we were a \"no show\" which was not true as we communicated with them
2) They said they paid for Odyssee which was not true
3) They said they took us to Odyssee which was not true, we were dropped off at the wrong place

Although breakfast is not included in the room rate, it is well worth the price. It is the best breakfast I’ve had: probably 30 different dishes, both traditional Moroccan specialties and Western breakfast foods, all fresh and beautifully prepared.
In addition to this, I appreciated the deluxe bathrobe, the beautifully designed, immaculate bathroom and the courtesy of the staff.

One of our rooms didn't have towels and it was more hassle than I prefer on order to get some. Room service was quick but food needs salt and pepper. Great location but its currently doing construction outside.

Not so good of a hotel! An embarrassing hotel!!!

Absolutely not so good! The front desk wants to know, if my wife and I are married, or not. I said we were, but the receptionist insisted on seeing our marriage license, luckily I had it in my suitcase, so I showed it to them, then she said, she wants to make a photocopy of it. What an embarrassing moment that was!!! I had no choice, but allowed her to do so.
The room was so dirty, that my wife almost stepped on a nidle that was on the unvaccinated floor. As I checked the bathroom, I noticed that, it was only a half a roll of toilet paper in it, so when I asked the front desk for another roll of paper, he said that, I can call them, when the half roll is finished. I was very embarrassed to go through the details with him.
I will not go back to Kenzi Basma Hotel, nor will I recommend it to my family and friends.

Best hotel in this area at this price range

I recommend this hotel; I had some difficulties at the beginning but the staff was able to resolve them effectively and efficiently. If you seek for help or suggestion, Frontdesk is your place to go, very caring staff. Will stay here everytime I am in Casablanca.

reception staff are the rudest most unhelpful reception staff I have encountered - terrible first impression of the hotel; what a shame. Otherwise decent hotel but I doubt I would return because of the reception staff.

We had two stays: 1-night and then after 5 days, 3-nights. The first experience was awful: electric lock to outer door worked very badly; safe in room didn't lock; door lock to terrace didn't work. Second, stay, they gave us a free upgrade -- suite; everything worked beautifully. Throughout it all, staff was warm, friendly, and courteous. They need to work on consistency; but when they're good they're very good; when bad....

Worst hotel in memory.

Total electrical power failure meaning no tv or toilets for twelve hours with lying about what going on whole time. Porter manipulated I take his buddys forry year
old junker Mercedes to the airport. All in all, worst hotel experience ever.f
