Fabulous breakfast & great location. However, the food at breakfast should have been covered as there were flys around the bread, cakes/pastries.
The Wi-Fi was very poor as soon as you connected it kept dropping out. I told the staff & he said he would get it resolved but the problem remained daily throughout my stay

My stay at Oum Palace was very comfortable. Yasir at the front desk welcomed me in at 2am since my flight was late, I was able to relax and walk the Medina which is right next to the hotel, and enjoy delightful Moroccan coffee and fresh fish at the fish market on the other side of the hotel. Breakfast is adequate, probably the major criticism I would have is that after the tour groups leave by 8am the breakfast area is definitely picked over. One needs to eat their breakfast by around 630 or else the selection isn't great. But this is a good experience overall for a hotel.

Good breakfast.

But bathroom got flooded with blocked drain with water coming into room which was a first for us having stayed in hundreds of hotels so far worldwide. Door lock had problem and needs sorting out too complicated. Lights were not working when we checked in due to electricity fuse issue in the room which had to be manually reset by electrician causing headache.
Hammam water had issue and for 30 euro price was not worth the poor service

Excellent value for the price. The hotel is easy walking distance to the central train station and there are many big chain hotels nearby, for example Hyatt and Novotel and Sofitel. There are also many restaurants around. The train to the airport costs $8 in first class and leaves ten minutes to every hour. There is a police station about 200 meters away and I got the impression the surrounding area is very safe.

Very Noise!!!!
So we use this property as our first stop on a tour. We are on level two , the room was rather disgusting. The only good thing is it had clean sheets the beds were tiny & very uncomfortable..We had booked this hotel for our last few days in Morocco as we thought it would be convenient. We stayed on level five this time .. room was a little bit bigger and cleaner. The male staff were rather nice but the female staff certainly need to think about smiling a little .. 😀😀😀
Breakfast is about AU$24, which is certainly not worth it , the first day it was included in our tour. But you have lots of choices to have coffee and croissant out side , The restaurant is quite OK 😎 DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR PAY AN EXTRA $15 A NIGHT AND 20 M UP THE ROAD AT THE CALYPSO !!!!
This is a transient hotel. It has bus loads coming in every day. !!!
We had asked about the noise .. the reply was that we had one of the better bedroom rooms on level 5 & that the noise would not be as bad …
Our air port transfer was good & after 3rd time asking … they let us pay with a credit card ..
be aware that a lot of places do not take credit card. Approx $60 Australian You do need to have cash with you…
The location is Central with Quite a few money exchanges around you. If I had my time again, I would’ve spent the money and stayed at the Calypso …. Booking for afar sometimes it’s tricky .. photos May have been taken 20 years ago in its heyday .. ..

Lots of markets within easy walking distance to find anything and everything you may want or didn't realize you needed. Breakfast buffets were great, add it to your reservation and save the hassle of buying it each morning. Staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make my short stay enjoyable. Plenty of food choices in the area.

Location is central - close to the Medina. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff was pleasant.
The only issue we had was with the restaurant. Six of us had a la carte dinner, but we’re disappointed that many of the menu items were not available (sushi, sandwiches, many other categories of food). The drinks and food took at least 30 minutes. Food was good, when it arrived, but it seemed that all staff were focused on the buffet only.

Reception staff rude - the porters and housekeeping however, were lovely. It was just the ladies on the front desk who could not be less bothered to help you or be polite.
Food ok. A few flies on the buffet.
Rooms are spacious - comfy beds.
The surrounding area is not very safe. Major main road, loud and busy all night. Probably ok for a one night stay. Would not recommend any longer here due to the poor location.

Location & reception staff / concierge have let this place down.

We had an overnight stay in Casablanca. We didn’t need anything too fancy for our stay. This hotel was perfect. It was modern with a good location and friendly staff. Based in central Casablanca and not far from the train station. If visiting Casablanca and needing to use a taxi use the Petit Taxis (they are red) and ask for the metre / counter. It cost us 10dirhams to return to the station whereas we paid 70 dirhams to get to the hotel.

arriving at the hotel after a long trip, with 2 small kids .The receiption was not professional( both of the two girls no welcoming or smile , any more :-) no public relations come cross rude loud .We were very tired from the trip and wanted to be able to check-in, drop our bags, shower and rest . Unfortunately when we arrived the unwelcoming lady at the front desk told us that there is no reservation under my name,at this point I was irritated. thanks god the general manager comes and fixed the issue but on the other way we got More extra charges for 2 small child ( infant included ) because There are not on my reservation doc ( which is right because off the expedia app issues , but on the otherside , every familly knows that we do not paid for child under 4 ans ( even in 5 stars hotels ressorts :-) , talking by experience , on the positive side the general manager was so freindly and very respectful and take care of our reservation and took the time to fix every thg
no coffee or tea capsules and even no bottle of water was not placed in the room as expected
I understand that the hotel needs to make money from everything and anything but this is a very unprofessional way to pay 600 DH for a shower hhh ( not a SPA )my wife and i was very disapointed , obviously not expected from a 4 stars hotel,
On the positive side, the room was clean,all stuff except the both girls at reception was so freindly and very welcoming.

I had a wonderful stay at Oum Palace. Each of the staff members were extremely pleasant and helpful. From helping me find a taxi, helping me get room service from the restaurant across the street, housekeeping sound an amazing job with keeping my room clean and comfortable, the hotel restaurant staff kind and courteous with breakfast~everyone here showed EXCEPTIONAL customer service! It was one of my most enjoyable hotel stays from all over the world including the US. If I'm ever in Casablanca again, I'll definitely come here first! Thank you Oum Palace!

I enjoyed my stay here. I'm a solo female traveler and I felt safe both walking the area as well as in the hotel.

The positives: The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is an easy walk to and from the train station and is close to both the medina and the UN Plaza. There are plenty of places to eat around and the staff was good with recommending places to go as well.
The room was nice and I could tell it had been through a recent refurbishment. To me the bed was comfortable, I enjoy and prefer firm beds.

The cons: The noise would be my only issue. The halls echoed a lot and the outside noise was a bit much. I do wish my room was away from the elevators so that maybe it would have been somewhat quieter.

Overall I probably would stay here again.

Stay away from this hotel!

Expedia charged us with 2 adults and 2 children, but at the hotel they changed and they said it's rule what they set, so they charged 300 MDH more than what expedia charged. Beware of this hotel, I will not go again and I WILL NOT refer any friends to go over again. My simple question was if Expedia charges how can they simply charge more, it's not a good business acumen, if I had one less person in expedia then its a different case but I had it for 2 adults and 2 children with AGES mentioned, even then they override that and asked for additional adult charge, since I was with sick kid at that time, and also travelling from marrakech, we have been pushed to agree and paid what they asked for. They added price for breakfast too after we insisted they took out BF charge. Ridiculous...STAY AWAY !

Excellent location for seeing Casablanca, or if traveling elsewhere by bus, as bus station at end of street. Hotel is older, but comfortable and clean, with excellent service. Will arrange pickup at airport. Our flight was 5 hours late, but our driver was still there to meet us. Breakfast buffet included. Would recommend.

Lovely staff. Hotel on surface is lovely but bathroom wasn't the cleanest, Chipped doors and very tired looking towels. Was in transit for 7 hours so just needed a shower and meal which the hotel was good for. Room size was okay but no tea making facility in room, no iron and very basic local tv with bad reception.

On the positive side, the room was clean, there was hot water, and it was in a good location to walk to sites within a half hour.

On the negative side, the room was tiny (not at all like the pictures), the shower leaked, the internet was extremely slow, and would frequently cut out, nothing in the room worked well (TV was full of static, and the phone the lobby did not work), and it was noisy (you could hear street traffic and people in the hallways).

This hotel needs renovation!!!

The room I stayed was terrible. Lots of facilities were broken e.g. air conditioning unit was broken so the room was so boiling hot, the shower head was broken and the shower unit didn’t have a door so I splashed water everywhere in the bathroom so I ended up sitting down to the floor to shower to avoid splashing water in the bathroom and WiFi internet was so slow and disconnected quite often. 😓😡

The hotel staff is good. The facilities are not equal to a four star.
The rooms are not very clean and tidy.
Empty mini bar, no complementary water.
The bathroom and shower were dirty and broken for the room we got.

The front desk staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The one blonde was particularly customer friendly. While I was disappointed the health center wasn't open, I was amazed the hotel offered an early breakfast for people leaving early. They had a breakfast ready at 4 AM, and it was great. On a side note, I admire the hotel for going green and saving money, but the hallway lights are off until someone walk in them. So when you get off the elevator, it's pitch dark for a second or two. If you stand still, waiting for the elevator, the lights go out. Aside from that, the hotel was fantastic, and I would definitely stay there again.

This is one of my worst hotel experiences that really spoiled my trip. Starting at the arrival at 2 am when the reception didn’t find our booking and we had to negotiate to get us in for the night. Then getting a room in which every smells bad, sink doesn’t work. Breakfast included by you will risk eating anything because of lack of tidiness. Confusing information on when to use the gym. This list goes on built within 2 days of stay.

You need to check the star ratings because this hotel cannot be more than a two stars otherwise this is a real scam.

Way to many problems to be worth the money

We had to battle with the check in desk agent for an hour because he claimed not to have our reservation. Then he checked us into a room with a FOUL smell the likes oh which I've never encountered before in a hotel (rotting fish). Then he moved us next door to a room where the windows were covered in bird excrement. The hallways are kept pitch black dark to save on electricity and the breakfast started a half hour late. Our car was penned in between two other cards making it impossible to leave when we wanted to (the staff parked our car), and to top it all off they wanted us to pay twice for the room because they never found our hotels.com reservation. There's absolutely no reason to ever stay at this hotel.

Dismal and depressing

It was sadder than a Motel 6. The lobby was fine and the continental breakfast in the morning was average, but the room was dismal. No other word to describe it. The bedding and flooring looked like it hadn't been changed since the 50s and the bathroom seemed like something out of the Bates Motel. The place was depressing and there's a 5-star hotel right around the corner that goes for around the same price. There's no reason to stay here. I'm not sure the other is better, but it just can't be worse. Casablanca was depressing enough, this place was insult to injury.

The location was nearly impossible to find although they do have free parking and it is conveniently located next to the Medina and Port. The lobby looked like a 5-star hotel, however the rooms were not impressive. The curtains were hanging from the wall and there was mold in the shower. The staff , with the exception of the \"bell-boy\", was not friendly and they do not speak much English. They did not give the room I paid for (pre-paid), the AC didn't work, the halls to the room have no lights and they lied about making a wake-up call. They insisted that they made the call and we just hung up the phone. Luckily my phone alarm worked or we would have missed our morning flight. The triple room was definitely not worth the money paid. The breakfast was the only nice part of our stay.

The hotel was very clean, but only one of the receptionists spoke much English and whenever we asked a question it was like we were interrupting something. The hotel was also hard to find and the taxi driver had never heard of it. Overall, it was an average hotel, not terrible but nothing special

Very loud area, but this is everywhere in Casablanca I think, caused by the maniac drivers..
They make comercials, that w-lan is possible in room, but it works only in lobby
One reason to book this hotel for me was the offer of a fitness area, but asking for this, it was told to me, that tere is now a meeting room inside, no more fitness.
The beds are horrible.
In Restaurant at evening only buffet available vor 250 Dirham, expensive for Marokko with very bad quality and two evenings the same choose.
Very friendly stuff, but at seven o`clock after knocking one time room maid stayed in the room, without waiting for answer.
For this money there are better hotels in Casablanca

Oum Palace in Marrakech

The hotel is ok overall. It's alright for business travellers. Leisure travellers shouldn't stay in drab and shoddy Casablanca anyway. There are some restaurants near the hotel.
Staff at reception were friendly.
Breakfast buffet ok except the undrinkable coffee which resembled a brownish dirty liquid. You can buy proper coffee at the bar though. Very clever.

El hotel está localizado cerca de la Medina y es conveniente si se viene del aeropuerto en tren. Es accesible desde la estación inclusive caminando si no se tiene equipaje pesado. El personal del lobby es correcto y colaborador. Dos ascensores. La habitación que nos dieron era amplia, limpia y bien ventilada. Tenía balcón. La cama muy buena.
