For the price, there were not comparable amenities such as mini fridge, lotion, water, counter in bathroom for toiletries. No hook in bathroom for hanging, hair dryer was only semi-functional, no bars in shower nor mats to prevent slipping.

The thermostat in our room was very high. We were sweating all night but the hotel said it was set at the same level for everyone.

They refused to cancel our final day at the hotel when we changed our plans and left earlier than expected.

Other than that, they were helpful and had a good restaurant next door.

This was a great little find. Location is perfect, pretty much everything is walkable, the metro is also 1 minute away, if you want it.
Room was fairly small, but spotless, as was the bathroom.
Bed extremely comfy, and I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Supposedly a four star hotel- no way-2 star more like it. Staff at front desk and restaurant very good. Cleaning did not leave bathroom tissue although tissue out, soap out. Room had mold odor. Shower/tub dangerous-glass fixed and you better be 115 pounds to slip in sideways after you step over extremely high tub with fixture at end of shower with fixed glass. Tub very slippery. No coffe pot, no refrig. No English stations at all, even news. Only one outlet in bedroom across from bed-bring extra plugs with several outlets and usb capibilties, Have stayed at other hotels in area close to Prado and this is definitely not four star. Not worth the money!!

I am Platinum Member with Expedia and booked a room with double bed and they gave me one with one single bed, a very small bed, I was travelling with my son and was too small for 2 people. Receptionist told me that if I would had booked directly with them they would had helped me, but since I booked it through Expedia, they cannot help me and they strongly suggest to only book directly with them and not through Expedia in the future. I had to leave the hotel and find at 9 PM another hotel to stay as we would not had been able to sleep in such a small bed and such a small room. The bathroom of the room also very small and with bad smell. One of the worse experiences I have had, would strongly recommend to avoid this hotel.

Overall we had an enjoyable stay at Hotel Mora. It was unfortunate that we were placed in a room directly below construction and not informed that it would be happening all throughout the day. We had arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight and the construction was incredibly loud. After a few hours using a white noise app it got louder and we had to go ask to be moved to another room. That room was suitable and the staff was friendly in helping with the move.

Staffs at reception are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Cleanliness of the room and washroom has room for improvement, specially when it comes to the towel and bed sheets. At times, there are stains on the towels that I hesitated to use it or not. The rooms are small and bit run down, but overall is not bad of a stay cuz the location is pretty convenient. It would be nice if there’s more than one electric outlet, coffee maker, and fridge if possible for the next time I will come for a visit. 😉Located at Paseo del Prado, 32

Spain that’s closed to Puerta de Atocha train/bus/metro station. Close to every thing. It’s not cheapest to stay at the Mora, but I get to choose I will stay somewhere else where there’s a fridge and coffee maker if I am paying pretty much the same amount of money for another place where they offer fridge and coffee maker. I guess it is the location where are located that make the stay pricey. Restaurant hours of operation is short for July and August. In conclusion, there’s room for improvement. Gracias, Elizabeth, Connie, y el chico que se me olvidó preguntar el nombre por su hospitalidad y servicio. 👏

Unprofessional staff. You can hear everything that the guest next door does--washing hands, flushing the toilet, taking a shower, etc. Vert small bedroom and bathroom. If you feel you're a little bit overweighed, don't choose this hotel; otherwise, you'll be stuck.

Perfect spot for travelers

It's very convenient! It's near train station & easy in and out of Madrid. Many restaurants and stores are nearby. Also, many museums and Park are in walking distance. The staffs are very nice and helpful. The room is small but clean and comfy and comes with everything we need. If there is a refrigerator, it would be perfect.

One of the more noise hotels I’ve stayed in for a while. The fire doors on the stairway slam close and neighboring activity is very clear to hear.

Locatie and staff perfect but if you are looking for a good nights rest do not expect it here.

Great Location, A Little Noisy

Clean and well located, close to El Prado Museum, El Retiro, and Atocha train station. The restaurant has nice food and ambiance. My only complaint is that at night your can hear the noise from other guests in the hallways and from the outside which made it hard to sleep. I bought some earplugs from the pharmacy close by which helped immensely. Overall I would stay again.

Great location to be central to everything you need to see in Madrid by foot.

The hotel room we had was very spacious, enough floor space to open 2 large suitcases. The bed was comfy. Bathroom also nice.

Biggest negative was that the place was not the most sound-proof and you could hear the people in the corridor really clearly and also the slam of each door.

The staff spoke English and were very helpful in ordering our taxi to the airport. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

The hotel is nice very centric but the mattres was real bad and it is real hard and dangerous to get into the bathtub I think a bath curtain will be a good idea instead of the glass wall that obstruct the entryway specially for old people like me , anything else was good the staff is excellent always able to help .

Aside from providing a coffee machine without coffee (we had 3 rooms, so it wasn’t an anomaly), the hotel was top notch.
We could walk from Puerta Atocha after our train from Barcelona (though some did take a €9 taxi), walk to Prado, and walk to Hop On Hop Off buses.
Each morning, and some afternoons (open until 18:30) we enjoyed a very good breakfast/lunch at El Patio Vertical just around the corner from the hotel, next to Caixa Forum.

Comfortable weekend stay

The hotel is in a brilliant position, moments from Atocha station and opposite Retiro Park and the botanic gardens. The room was quite small with no view but we were really only there to sleep, which was aided by the efficient aircon. Our towels were changed daily and the overall stay was comfortable, possibly could have been made better by provision of a fridge for cool drinks but there is a small shop seconds away for this! Overall a good choice for a city weekend, walking distance from all most major sights and with public transport very closeby.

A bargain for Madrid and right across from the lovely botanical gardens. I am not sure why people complained about the air con or the noise. We had an outside end room and noise was never an issue unless you opened a window. The air con worked so well that I had to get up in the middle of the night to turn it off. There was no nepresso machine when we arrived but one was found after we inquired. They do not provide the coffee pods but there is a small market right around the corner. Lovely helpful staff from the desk to woman who cleaned our room. We stayed for 6 nights and never had an issue. Multiple tapas bars that are close by and amazing but stay away from the restaurant Oven. Both the Prado and the Reina Sofia museums are only a couple of blocks away.

Could not dream of a better location: across from Royal Botanical Garden, 5 minutes walk from the Prado and any kind of restaurant imaginable, less than 10 minutes walk from main train station (Atocha). Very good hotel with friendly staff (upgraded my room without my asking), fine cafe, Only reason for less than perfect rating is electrical systems in rooms are a problem: nowhere to plug in phone charger near bed, outlets don’t work much no matter lights on/off, and tv stopped working after 1st night. Hotel is aware of challenge and this one shortcoming.

Photos don't do justice to the hotel. Much better. Very good position right opposite the botanical gardens and very closed to Atocha Train Station and the Prado Museum. Arrived pretty late to the hotel. Receptionist was most helpful and professional. Although the room was interior, it was very good, the space. the bathroom, the comfy bed and quietness. Water pressure was very good as it was the check in and out of the hotel.

It was clean, comfortable, and in a very great location between museums and cathedrals/ Palaces. We enjoyed The early night life when the streets were full of people- There were street musicians, dancing demonstrations, jugglers and artists everywhere.

Hotel Mora’s Best feature was their friendly, efficient staff. I can’t say enough good things about efficient check-in, great advice on where to go when, and assistance with room service and cab needs.

I am very happy to have stayed in this hotel. Not only the location is great, but I received an amazing service by Juan at the reception. I traveled to several cities around Spain for several weeks, and I had to stop in Madrid several times.
I stayed here every time . Juan really helped me with reserving a room and ensuring I had what I needed , including the helped I got with my luggage management. He was always very pleasant and always willing to help me with my travel needs in a very professional and reliable way. Good For a Couple Nights!

For one night this was a good place to stay. We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. The only downside to staying here was the lack of outlets in the room and the fact that we could hear every sound/movement coming from the hallway. This is a very comfortable, clean, cute, small but got everything you need. I love the good water pressure and hot water shower; I love strong AC; I also love the cleanness of the room even bedding sheet smell good. Plus this hotel is in walking distance to most tourist attractions. It also near Starbucks and few restaurants. Oh, I also need to say it is located right next to a park. Very quite and green! Also, the front desk people are very friendly too. If I come back to Madrid, I would stay here again.

Good stay, check in was cool - the guy was lovely - didn’t offer us a map or anything but we didn’t ask. Reception looks cool and all. The room is spacious but it smelt - possibly cigarettes not sure. We’d always leave the window open but room service kept shutting them aha! Oh well. Also there is only one plug right at the other side of the room - not near the bed. I guess it’s good to not be on your phone at night though. They did leave one of those extension boxes plugged in so we could charge multiple things. Showers good, wifi was terrible, it was alright all in all. It is right next to the Atocha station which does most the suburban connections and southern connections. So that was handy. Location wise it’s a good 20 min to half hour walk to the basilica and surrounding area, and it’s right next to a big park. Oh and if you’re looking for breakfast options, go to Matildas. It’s amazing and run by a lil old chappy and the cook. It’s awesome there. We went almost every morning! It’s only a 5-10 min walk away.

Excelente ubicación, son muy amables, el cuarto es de buen tamaño, el baño en buenas condiciones. No hay restaurante pero el room service es muy bueno. Cuidado si tienes el sueño muy ligero, el aire acondicionado hace mucho ruido y puedes no dormir bien.
A 5 min de Atocha, a 7 del museo del prado y a 17 de la puerta de Alcalá

Perfect for a place to sleep

I booked the hotel because it was a short walk from the train station and needed a place to stay for one night. The hotel is really clean, super short walk to the train station, and near a lot of restaurants/take away shops. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!
