The cost of sunscreen (which was a necessity) was outrageous! Cost of one bottle compared to 3 outside of the resort.
Sometimes the drink service at the pools was very slow and having to wait up to an hour to get your drink.

We had an excellent stay at Dreams. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Our room was super clean and had lovely flowers on the bed each day. So many pools and yummy restaurants. So many fun activities and wonderful tours you can book.

The location is stunning, the most beautiful beach that s clean and so uncrowded, so private.
The staff were nice and helpful. There is not enough room around the pools for the number of people. To get a chair in the area of the infinity pools, you need to be up and at the pool before 6 and be prepared to stay until past breakfast. If I’m on vacation, I’d rather not get up that early. The one day I attempted that madness, I was there from 5:15 until 6:15 then went back to the room to get ready for breakfast and the staff removed my towels and belongings. There are some spots at the less sought after pools (no view) and sometimes the beach. I was frustrated by the process. The Portofino restaurant was very good but otherwise the food was rather bland and seldom warm or freshly prepared. But honestly, I’d stay again for the beautiful beach and view.

Room was great, staff were incredible, food was ok but trying to get a seat near pool anytime after 8am is impossible. Was very frustrating. People actually get up at 5:30am and reserve their seats for the day with towels. It seems that there are more guests than chairs.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice location and amenities. Using the Hyatt Inclusive app to request services or to resolve issues makes for an easy experience. Only negative was that the à la carte restaurants don’t take reservations.

The room was clean and sunny, nice view of the garden which had lots of tropical birds and iguanas. The staff we nice and accommodating. Lots of choice at the buffet, the 3 restaurants were also delicious. Had one of the best steaks of our life at \"El Patio\". The beach is swimmable and safe, very few jellyfish. We encountered almost no mosquitos. My only complaint is that they were constantly pumping crappy club music, really loudly ALL day and some days the buffet was a little disappointing. Huatulco is very much a tourist town so it's easy to fall into tourist traps and feel like people see you as a walking wallet. Prices were not much cheaper than Canada. A little tip goes a long way for getting good service, so bring lots of small denomination pesos. Overall very luxurious for the price.

This was out 9th time at dreams. The resort is in some need of major upgrades.
Our room has a great view. However we were up on the 6th floor above the kitchen exhaust fans. All we could smell was cooking oil all day.
We found the resort is lacking in general maintenance. Cracked tiles, broken fridges, leaking taps, stinky bathrooms etc.
The grounds are beautiful and well kept.
The staff is courteous as always
The food has suffered immensely. The quality, flavors and overall selection was lacking. We were at dreams for 4 nights of our 11 in huatulco and got tired of the food real quick.
It's tough to say if we will return to dreams huatulco

Location is fabulous, I was disappointed that they don't have better Oaxaca food in the restaurants. DO NOT eat at El Patio restaurant, they have a mosquito infestation. The cleaning staff are fabulous, but the beds sunk in too much, due to over use. Overall a lovely stay.

Yes room was very clean. Even though we requested special pillows they were not very comfortable but we made due.
Staff was very polite and courteous.

I was very disappointed that the restaurants didn’t serve more Mexican food. We couldn’t find any menu that contained Mexican options.

The beach was beautiful and once again staff was great.

This place has so much potential and could use a great location manager to make things better. The location and its proximity to the beach are amazing. The warm water and clear water are perfect. There is a lack of attention to the staff and their customer service. The fact that they could not make an old fashion cocktail speaks volumes. You ask the same question to different staff members and get a different answer every time. There were a few exceptions who provided great service. Genaro and Cristina were fantastic in the preferred lounge. Alberto from the preferred beach was also fantastic. Basic training on customer service and training the bar staff how to prepare some drinks would be helpful

The view is amazing but the rooms are dated. The staff at check in was focused on selling you rather than taking care of our needs and at times lacked social awareness. The staff was also not fully informed. Numerous times we got conflicting information on our questions. This property has amazing potential but needs help. Management needs to do a better job running the resort.

Most of the areas were very dirty and old. The silverware was always with rest of past meals, even lipstick and stains. Roof in the aisles in very bad conditions I was always afraid of getting hit in my head by a piece of roof. Dishes and kitchen areas very dirty and grassy.

The food was sold to us on the 6th. They told us it was lobsters, and I had to pay $4,070 for 4 people. I complained because we only received small langoustines, and I paid for 4. I only received 2. The pool was very dirty, and only 2 restaurants were open. We had to wait in line to have lunch. There was very little staff and very poor service. We traveled as 17 people to your hotel, and it was not what we expected.

The staff here are very friendly and welcoming, which made our stay pleasant. While the facility is definitely older and showing its age in many areas, the rooms were clean and well-maintained. The food options were a bit limited compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at in different parts of Mexico, but overall, it was a decent experience.

La comida no está muy buena y en el área de la alberca no sirven comida .
En el Spa una de las recepcionistas se puso a contestarle de muy mal modo a mi hija porq nos dieron mal el costo y ahí le dijeron que era más caro y diciéndole que ella estaba equivocada .
En el buffet en pastas también Gabriela andaba de mal genio y quería servir lo que ella quería y no lo que le pedía mi hija . Solo me gustó el hotel , la playa porque está muy tranquilo .No volvería

Good hotel in a beautiful bay. The staff are very welcoming. The restaurants and gym seemed somewhat small considering the number of rooms in the hotel. I personally did not like the artificial juices used for lemonades and cocktails - they felt artificial. Good experience overall though!

Second time at this resort. 7 years ago it was amazing this time there has been no up keep , food was awful, the main restaurant was closed for renovations in addition they closed another main restaurant each night. Told no reservations required but the seafood night outside was told we needed reservations and never gave us a chance to make them. Will not be going back or recommending to family and friends again.

Not the newest but the management did an absolutely amazing job to keep everthign up-to-date. Clean, convenient. Entertainment were great. Pool activities daily. Resort app is very helpful. Staffs are so friendly that yreat us like family. I am going back next year. Best place and best services.

We had the preferred club room with a hot tub. While it was too hot outside to use the hot tub the room was perfect and so spacious. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again!

This hotel should name NIGHTMARE. The food is terrible,my wife got sick, my daughter and my self got sick.
The poor quality of the food makes this hotel one of the worse hotels of my life.
Don’t go to this hotel.
Pick Other I guarantee there Are more choiches in Huatulco.
If you want to have a very bad vacations go here to Dreams or called Nightmares.

Loved our stay here! The staff were amazing, especially the entertainment staff (Neff in particular). Room was comfortable, everything was clean but the resort is showing its age as others have mentioned. The food was mediocre, kind of expected at an all inclusive. Unfortunately we both ended up with upset stomach’s one day but couldn’t pinpoint what caused it. We went at a great time and hardly had issues getting a chair by the pool or beach.

This resort is the best all inclusive I have ever been too. The only issue was if you like to watch a movie there is very little English TV, so if you plan on watching movies take a laptop. Also the WIFI is excellent throughout the resort.

Our trip was all good. It used to be better before it was acquired by Hyatt.
Great beach, pools and food. Quality of food is much better than Barcelo (neighboring hotel).
In the past they used to be more flexible in late check-out and access to some snacks (ice-creams only from 1pm to 4pm!).
Hotel needs a major make-up as it is an old one.

Bottom line: I will come back.

We stayed for 4 days a group of six. The private beach was fun and beautiful except all of four days we couldn’t find beach chairs available or a place to sit. Same thing with the pools around the property. The resort included 4 pools but again we couldn’t find lounge chairs or place to enjoy a tan or the pools. We inquired about getting extra chairs and the manager said they didn’t have any more. Also, couple of times they run out of beach towels !!!!

Huatulco Dreams was a lovely resort.
The a la cart restaurants didn’t require reservations so you could just decide in the moment where to eat. The beach and ocean are the stars of the resort! Excellent resort for relaxation

After a couple minor bumps along check in ( sticky lock and missing some of the items after a room clean ) we had a great time! The staff fixed the above items immediately and were so helpful. We had great service from all the staff through out the resort with many of the staff remembering our whole party’s names and room numbers despite a very booked resort!

When I arrived I had a bad first impression due to the bad functioning of the air conditioning, but they gave me another room and it was solved (under some pression). The hotel is a bit aged but the maintenance is ok. The pools are very good, the beach is literally under the pools and de service is kind, mainly in the thematic restaurants (the Asiatic is the best one). Xochi, Geovanni, Leonel, Diana are amazing.
