Property was beautiful, but not advertised unfortunately.. beach access was a view and no access and tgstcwas very important to us as we had planned on snorkeling a lot on this vacation and at this resort. Unfortunately that willnever hsppen with littel no access and even if possible huge big bolders and rocks woukd stop you you big time from getting in . Arrived late afternoon to only kitchen in place already closed fir the day after 4 pm . No other options around this place , especially with no car . Rooms was old fashioned and very dated . Bad water pressure at all times and littel to no hot water unfortunately. The bed was old and like lying on the hard tile floor and ruined my sleep and back so bad by 5 am , that I was unable to sleepnor walk very well by the am . My bad back was now much worse . Ac was ok , but tv was terrible and coukd barly see or understand as its all in spanish . I know we in Mexico but the tv was older then my 15 year old son and was probably a 20 inch tv in top left corner ..couldn't even see it or hesrvit from anywhere in room . Over all was not happy or satisfied with this place or rooms thst desperately needing to be brought into the 2020 era at very least .. many mounds and stairs to climb every time we left . No elevator. Staff was friendly and understanding to my concerns and we insisted on leaving the next day to kore suitable accommodations to enjoy our trip as planned . As well trying to get our refund after many days was difficult.

This hotel was a bit of a hidden gem. It is quiet, beautiful, rooms all have fantastic views of the ocean (we saw humpback whales from our balcony) and there is access to a beach that we were alone on most of the time. We saw tropical fish in the water. Breakfast is lovely, includes fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, toast and then a different list of options daily like eggs with chorizo, French toast, enfrijoladas etc. Very tasty. The pool is great for lounging and the staff were wonderful. I can't say enough good things about our experience and I hope to return! This is a laid back kind of place so if you're looking for r and r it's the place to be.

Villas FaSol is a very special place. The pool and grounds are beautiful. Access to a private beach is amazing. The staff was incredibly attentive. The rooms are spacious and the views are amazing!! The place is located in a gated community and feels incredibly safe. But, you will need a cab to get anywhere.

The hotel and rooms are getting dated and need some refinement. The crew seems to be working hard to do just that.

Really great and attentive service, room was always clean, the property itself is truly beautiful. There's a reason why this place has such great reviews! Super short cab ride into town for dinners, but there are a couple of restaurants within the residential area as well to choose from that you can walk to, which we took advantage of on several occasions. It is a very, very quiet spot - great if you're looking to be away from other people.

No, but clean and refreshing. Air conditioned. There was no english speaking TV stations. The water temperatures were inconsistent. The WiFi was not working good in the afternoons the Sun affecting the routers. I advised the manager what might help the matter.

The most important part of our trip was the staff starting with Jordan the local manager. He made sure all of our needs were met. The breakfast included with the price was exceptional which included fruits and an egg dish. We did have lunch there on one occasion. The cook/chef was name Ana (???) and she is terrific. It is a small 13 room hotel with beautiful gardens and view. The beach located at the facility is not swimmable but there is one you can walk for about 5 - 8 minutes. We did not visit it. Taxis are ready available by talking to the front desk as we went into town on several nights a quick 10 to 15 minute drive and about $5 - 7. Overall we had a wonderful stay lead by the team leader Jordan and assisted by a young lady who handles marketing. They are all beyond kind and attentive to all of our needs. If your looking for some peace and quiet with several pools to choose from, this is your place. T

Me and my husband planned on staying here until we had such a terrible experience the first day first night. First the AC in the room did not reach the restroom therefore the restroom was extremely hot. Second the bed was extremely hard, maybe not a deal breaker for some but it’s was almost like laying on the floor. Third when we planned on going to sleep after ignoring and trying to just make the best out of all the issues, the head board of the bed was covered in ants which to our surprise we moved the bed and underneath was full of ants as well. Not to mention in order to contact the staff we had to text the girl on WhatsApp which was extremely inconvenient since she was already home which we did not know and we didn’t wanna inconvenience someone while they are at home. Another thing the place had a really dirty pool which in the pictures looked better than in person. They also advertised for a private beach experience but when we arrive we were told that we couldn’t swim since the beach was very rocky and waves were strong, which one fine but that was one of the reasons we stayed there since we wanted that experience. Overall it was very uncomfortable and inconvenient and me and my husband had to contact Expedia so get moved the first day we arrived because the experience was already so bad and dull.

This is a beautiful property outside of Tangolunda. Transportation is needed if you want to explore the other areas of Huatulco. Taxi cabs are available. We rented a motorbike for the week and had many adventures.

The room was large, clean and simple (king bed). There is a fridge and we brought our own alcohol in. We did have an issue with low shower water pressure but it was resolved right away. Our suite had a covered patio with jetted tub. It was lovely to sit and watch/listen to the ocean. Beautiful sunsets. The resort serves a nice breakfast (included) and food was available for purchase 12-4pm. The ceviche was very good. Dinners were in La Crucecita (20 min drive) or other areas outside the gated residential condos.

Our host, Jordan, was excellent! He even cooked a special birthday dinner for my husband. This was our 25th anniversary trip too & the room was decorated. The staff was very friendly. Jordan and Amairani speak English so that was super helpful. Google Translate is a great App to help with communication,

The resort is not your typical all inclusive. It was very quiet most days/nights (which we enjoyed). There are no elevators.

There is a trail to another beach to the right and we snorkelled there safely.

Huatulco is clean and friendly. We will go back, for sure!

The view is amazing, the villa was very calm, we could enjoy the tranquility. The staff is very friendly and quick to help whether giving tips on activities or to call for a taxi. The food is delicious and the cooks are very friendly. I would give the Villa a 10/10 if they invested more in maintenance. Our faucet and sink were corroded, the sink clogged daily. It’s the little details that need to be taken care of, but for the rest, we had a great time!

The property is beautiful! Our closets and shower were in disrepair and needed remodelling. They looked very dirty. The people that maintained the gardens and pool area were very good. I felt the management were not in touch with our needs- immature and language barrier were a concern. Coffee in the early morning should be available.

The property is simply beautiful. Stunning views, a charming beach, amazing landscaping, and a lovely, refreshing pool made the outdoor surroundings delightful. The rooms (we had a mountain view for a week and an ocean view for another week) were spacious and comfortable. Staff was attentive and the breakfasts on the outdoor terrace were delicious. The air-conditioning made sleeping easy.
Villas Fa-Sol is off the beaten path which was just what we wanted. People who want more activity, shopping, and variation in dining might find it too isolated. But taxis are inexpensive and convenient for getting to the rest of the Hautulco which offers a broad range of touristy things to do.
We mostly stayed right on the property and another beach a short walk away because we were sure that nothing else out there could possibly be an improvement.

The property is fantastic on the outside ... ie. pools, sundecks, beach, views, everything. However the room ( junior suite) we were in needs a complete overhaul. Sink was cracked in numerous places, faucet/taps were dirty and ready to fall off, shower doors and fixture were old and need replacing, etc.
Overall the stay was great, staff was great, sun was great, pools were great... but get back to the room and it was sub-standard.

We were upgraded to the corner Tortuga room and loved the 180 degree view of the ocean. There is a beach just below the property and a 3 min walk to another private beach good for swimming. The breakfast was good with several choices each day. The family and staff were very friendly and helpful.

This place is a unique little hideaway, very quiet and restful in a residential neighborhood. We wanted tranquility and we got it, the staff were very assistive to our needs, food was good but no dinner. We were accommodated very well with the room, clean and comfortable. Best to know a little Spanish which I was more than rusty at, but had fun. Would go back for sure, not a party place with madness going on.

Great spot away from the crowds. The place is family-run and they look after you well. English is marginal, the restaurant closes at 5 so you have to cab it somewhere to eat later than that. A bit dated and some things are in need of repair, but hey, it's Mexico. We loved our time there and will be back.

The grounds of the hotel are a peaceful paradise - plenty of deck-chairs and sun-loungers by (and in) the pool and on the beach, with so few rooms that it almost felt like a private stay for just us. The staff are lovely and the food is delicious, particularly the breakfasts, which were filling and provided great variety. Would recommend bringing snacks for the evening when the kitchen is closed so that you can literally not leave the property during your stay.

This hotel has an excellent view. The staff is very friendly but their english is lacking. They need someone that can stay around the reception area more often. They need to have food and bar service until at least 7pm. We stayed on the 1st floor and it is 77 steps down to the beach area. The steps are very steep with no hand rail.
Overall we enjoyed the stay. The Mexican people are very friendly and the cab drivers did not try to charge more than the normal fare. Great area for photography.

A Real Gem

I was lucky to find this family owned property. Every person working there (much of them family) were very friendly and super helpful. My room was bright, spotless and had a great view. The food at the little restaurant was basic but fresh and tasty. The grounds were beautiful and the private beach was one of a kind. They let me stay on property after check out and the owners son Jordan drove me to the airport for basically the price of gas. I would go back and have already told friends about it.

This is a family run hotel. The customer service is great. Jordan, the managers son, is an indispensable asset. He speaks English quite well and will cheerfully help you with whatever you need. The room itself (junior suite) was clean and had a great view. There is very little shade to keep light out in the morning, so if you're light sensitive you better get up early.
The small private beach was gorgeous and so nice to enjoy, though the pounding surf and rocks doesn't really allow for swimming.
The included home cooked breakfast was delicious!
Overall a great place to unwind and use as a launchpad for exploring Bahia Huatulco.

Lovely small, family run facility. Beautiful site.

Spent a week. Two couples. Each had the (lower end) rooms, facing the back. We loved the Villas Fa-Sol. The beach attached to the hotel is small and not really swimmable, but there is a lovely quiet beach down a path next door. Breakfast is fruit, yogourt and granola, eggs or french toast, juice and coffee. The rooms were a bit dated, but very clean. Beds were hard, but some folks like that. The pool area is very nice, lots of lounge chair under coconut palms. The staff are all lovely, helpful and solicitous. The owner, Guillermo, took us out on his beautiful boat for a ride up the coast. A dolphin led us for a bit, adding to the beauty of this day.
A great spot, probably not so much for families with little kids as there is not a lot for them to do. The place was quiet and very relaxing. The opposite of most all-inclusives we have experienced. Wish we were back there now.

Gorgeous and relaxing. Not close to town. Address provided is for the back of the hotel, so some confusion when we arrived. We arrived late due to flight delays. Service was above and beyond. Re-opened the restaurant for us. Perfect mescal margaritas. Would stay here again.

Had a pleasant stay. Enjoyed the beautiful plants in the hotel's landscaping. Although the nearby beach is nice for swimming the hotel is miles from any restaurants or grocery stores. The setting is pretty and safe in a residential neighborhood of vacation homes. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Nice place. I booked this accommodation for a quick overnight stay while en-route. Good, full breakfast was offered as part of the price. Nice location with beach access, however; if you want to swim in the ocean, the beach here is not suitable - heavy waves, strong current and a lot of rocks!

Charming Resort in beautiful location

We had a great time at Villas Fa-Sol. When we arrived we were welcomed like family and throughout our stay the staff were incredibly helpful and hospitable. The rooms are a little dated, but they are clean, comfortable and very spaceous. The location is absolutely beautiful and if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing break this is a perfect place to stay. We will definitely return!

Stunningly beautiful hotel! It was a bit difficult to find and is in a residential area, so don't plan on walking to find any restaurants. But the meals I ate there were some of the best meals of my life. Soooooo delicious. The staff speaks very little English, so be prepared for that.

Beautiful complex overlooking a cove where the palm trees stood and waves came crashing in. Complex is clean though not the most modern but done in a Spanish Colonial/European style. omfortable and very accommodating people. A pleasure to stay there.

We found paradise at Villas Fa -Sol.

Recently we spent 8 glorious nights at Villas Fa-Sol. The views and grounds at the Villa are absolutely breathtaking. Beautiful trees, colorful flowers and crystal clear waters. The grounds have 3 levels. Level one is for dining, level 2 has a swimming pool with lounge chairs and level 3 has hammocks which are steps from the private beach. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and very clean. Sandra and her staff prepare a wonderful breakfast each morning. Food is freshly prepared for you as you gaze out onto the sea view. If you are looking for a peaceful, private and secure place to stay you will not be disappointed with Villas Fa-Sol.

Exquisite tranquil getaway

Gerardo welcomed me to paradise as if it were my long lost home. Beautiful buildings and grounds with lovely touches and private nooks. A magic forest, breath-taking views, an elegant and spotless room with a fantastic bathroom (showering while gazing at the ocean!) and balcony onto the infinite ocean. The beautiful beach directly in front is not suitable for swimming, but there is an accessible and calm beach down the road. Two minor quibbles - my large bed was quite squeaky, the music on the grounds was unnecessary. A fantastic spot all in all and I would never stay anywhere else in Huatulco.

We stayed at Fa-Sol in December 2014. The house and grounds were excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a great view of the ocean. Breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly and wanting to please. Some language barrier as they are more fluent in Spanish than English but with my broken Spanish and a translator app on my iPhone we were just fine. Beautiful area to visit.
