The Best Western Plus Palatin Kongress Hotel and Cultural Center is located 12 kilometers south of historic Heidelberg, in the center of Wiesloch with easy access to the motorways A5 and A6. There are 134 comfortable and spacious rooms all offering the comfort of a four-star hotel.

Not a great experience

The hotel is an old one, with very low suitability if you have any luggage due to lack of smooth paths in the hotel. The staff were friendly but not very helpful, the restaurant is good but not so many options (as in most hotels). Wifi was OK.
The room was small with very little light, the beds are old and uncomfortable and if you are unlucky, you will book a king size bed and end up with twin beds that are not joint together and a big gap in the middle. The breakfast next morning was very poor, lacking of natural juice and very little fresh fruits.
All in all, I did not enjoy my stay in the hotel and I hope the managers will look into improving their performance.

Basic hotel in a small village

We had no choice and we had to stay in this hotel. Big rooms and bathroom but a little outdated. The bed was two beds together and we did not have the choice of one bed. The rate was expensive for what they offered and we did not eat breakfast bc there was an extra charge of 20€ per person.

Hotel is not much to look at from exterior, however meeting facilities and restaurant within were above average and food was very good and well prepared. Rooms were clean and updated recently. Convenient location to town and shops and area eateries.

Mixed experience in Wiesloch

Internet was bad and some traffic was blocked. Had to use a mobile device.They were not able to fix it. If you need internet, this hotel is not the best choice.
Access with a car was rather difficult and parking not immediately clear. My suite was in another building and I had to walk about 80 yards through the open while it was raining. Breakfast buffet was good but overpriced at EUR 21 for this area.

Sleep needed

The room was on the 1st floor, facing the road. It was incredibly loud, with traffic continuing throughout the evening into the morning. Loud trucks and commerce. This was disturbing even with 30 dc proof earplugs. Was not able to sleep as a result. Called the front desk to have our room moved, while they were pleasant on the phone, they did not call us back about moving our room, when there were rooms available. This was questionable since we booked many months in advance, and they gave rooms away first come first serve (we checked in very late). Although acc. such as room size for European Standards were plentiful, it is impossible to enjoy with little, if any sleep.
It is possible that you may get a room that is not in this location, but if you book early, this does not take precedence, so be sure to check in early or something.

Schade fanden wir, dass das Hotel die Bar nicht geöffnet hatte und an der Rezeption nur Getränke mit Kohlensäure (außer stilles Wasser) verkaufte. Wenn das Restaurant geöffnet ist, kann man sich da Getränke kaufen und im Barbereich trinken.

Schöne große Zimmer, Bad war auch in Ordnung. Außer die Heizung im Bad ging leider nicht. An Der Rezeption haben wir das mitgeteilt, erst am nächsten Tag kam ein Klempner. Leider hat er dies auch nicht hinbekommen und wir mussten im Winter im kalten Bad duschen, das war nicht so schön. Es kam von der Rezeption leider auch keine Entschuldigung oder ein Entgegenkommen, Nachlass oder Sonstiges. Das war schwach!

Übernachtung dort aufgrund einer Fortbildung im Haus. Wir sind wunderbar versorgt worden, leckeres Essen, aufmerksames Personal, außerdem praktische Parkmöglichkeiten direkt im Parkhaus am Hotel. Auch ins Zentrum sind es nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß.
Das Zimmer war sauber, gemütlich eingerichtet und komfortabel. Ich kann es sehr empfehlen und würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

Schönes ruhiges Zimmer mit mehreren Kissen 👍👍Kaffeemaschine inkl. Kaffe und großem TV. 0,5l Wasser. Tolles Frühstück mit der Möglichkeit auf Spiegelei oder auch Omelett. Die Zimmerreinigung nicht durchzuführen war eine Flasche Wein wert, toll das hatte ich noch nie. Also Hotelbetreiber merkt euch das dan gibt es auch gute Bewertungen.

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, das Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich, eine sehr große Auswahl und frisch zubereitet. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Ein Rollladen hat leider nicht funktioniert im Zimmer, ansonsten war alles super. Überrascht waren wir darüber, dass unser Zimmer im Nebengebäude untergebracht war und wir über die Straße laufen mussten, auch zum Frühstück. Das empfanden wir als etwas störend, aber es stellte kein Problem dar.

Prima hotel voor doorreis. Wiesloch is echt een slaapdorp, bijna geen mensen op straat. Er was gelukkig een festival met live muziek bij een wijnboer, verder was er niets te doen.
Helaas ontbreekt airco op de kamer. Er staat wel een ventilator maar daar krijg je het niet koel mee als het buiten 32 graden is en binnen ook warm

Direkter Vergleich zum best western plus plaza Darmstadt: Der TV in Darmstadt war mehr als doppelt so groß. Die Sauberkeit in Darmstadt war hingegen unterirdisch.
Würde ich wieder das best western in Wiesloch buchen? Ja.

Die Beschäftigten im Hotel waren alle freundlich und hilfsbereit. Herrn Schaller an der Rezeption möchte ich jedoch besonders wegen seiner Kompetenz und Freundlichkeit hervorheben.
Ich kann natürlich nur das Zimmer (Behindertenzimmer) beurteilen, das wir bewohnt haben. Der verantwortliche Innenarchitekt sollte noch \"Nachhilfestunden\" bekommen. Insgesamt ist die Etage ist komplett renoviert.
Das Frühstück ist gut, könnte jedoch noch verbessert werden.
Das Umland von Wiesloch bietet viel Interessantes und Sehenswertes für jeden Geschmack.

Perfektes Arrangement

Wir durften unser 3-Ganz-Abendessen in Buffetform einnehmen, das Essen war ansprechend dargeboten, richtig temperiert, eine sehr große Auswahl. Wir haben 4 Std geschlemmt, die Kellner waren sehr aufmerksam und fleissig.
Die Bar war um 17 Uhr zwar noch geschlossen, aber wir haben einen leckeren Drink aus der Küche serviert bekommen.
Das Zimmer war edel eingerichtet, alles funktionierte tadellos, Musikanlage, Kaffeemaschine, Dusche. Einzig das Bett war etwas zu weich, dafür gab es drei verschiedene Arten an Kissen.
Das Frühstück war inbegriffen, eine riesige Auswahl, für die normalen 18,50 € durchaus in Ordnung.
(2 Nächte, 1 x 3Gang Abendessen, 2 x Frühstück, 1 Tageskarte Badewelt Sinsheim)

Tolles Hotel mitten in Wiesloch

Tiefgarage unter dem Hotel, schönes, großes Zimmer in 3. Etage. Tolles Frühstück, das mit 18€ zwar nicht billig ist, aber es lohnt sich: Müsli, Quark, Joghurt, verschiedene warme Speisen, Sekt, Brot, Brötchen, Marmeladen, verschiedene , tolle Honigsorten, die auch käuflich zu erwerben sind,...... mein Frühstücks-Highlight waren die verschiedenen Wurstsorten, die jeweils eigene Platten hatten, also kein Durcheinander von Frischwurst und rohen Wurstsorten. Einziger Knackpunkt waren lärmende Hotelgäste um 1 und um 5 Uhr morgens, das kann man aber dem Hotel nicht anlasten.

Ontvangst en receptie is goed. Mijn kamer was ruim, maar kaal en zonder sfeer. Wat ontbrak was een airconditioner, het was er te warm en het matras te slap. De wifi was goed en je hebt een nescafe koffiezetapparaat op je kamer. De minibar, die is leeg.
Er is een sauna, deze is erg klein en echt oud. Daar zijn kosten aan verbonden, 4,-. Daarvoor krijg je tijdelijk een badjas, deze mag je niet op je kamer laten en moet je bij de receptie weer inleveren want er staat borg op. Het ontbijt was goed. Al met al is het niet mijn hotel, te minimaal en dat tegen een te hoge prijs. Kortom de prijs kwaliteit verhouding is niet wat ik van Duitsland gewend ben. Voor een gezinsreis is dit hotel naar mijn inzien ongeschikt.
