Des efforts à faire pour le prix demandé !

J’aurais voulu que soit indiqué le prix du petit déjeuner (24€/pers) que j’ai trouvé vraiment exorbitant par rapport à ce qui nous était proposé.
Nous aurions également aimé un accueil en français car la France n’est pas loin (1h15 de chez vous !) et quand vous êtes à Strasbourg, tout le monde fait un effort pour vous accueillir en allemand… Votre hôtesse d’accueil dont le premier métier est de connaître les langues (au moins l’anglais et le français dans cette région !) était quasi -incompréhensible en anglais et ne parlait pas un mot de français. Foutaise !
Pour finir, la photo de la chambre n’avait rien à voir avec celle qui nous a été attribuée (décoration passée de mode voire ringarde)

We switched to this hotel last minute for a 4 night stay at the end of a busy 2 week vacation because it was just on the outskirts of Heidelberg and the property looked very nice and relaxing based on the pictures and description. The hotel was in an area with some sort of warehouses and such, certainly not very attractive or appealing.
It did state that the pool was closed for renovations but the spa and sauna area was open.
Our room was fine except for the noisy air conditioning. We switched rooms after 1 night and that was better.
Our view was the hoarding and scaffolding of the pool construction, so we couldn’t enjoy that.
Went to the sauna area in the basement, one of the saunas was out of service and the others were too bright. There was a convention next door and you could hear them cheering and carrying on from the sauna, we left.
Breakfast was a short walk to the grocery store bakery since we were not about to pay 24 euros per person for breakfast. We spent a total of 58 euros for 4 days of breakfast that would have cost us 192 euros at the hotel.
The parking lot seemed to always be full but we never saw anyone walking around the grounds or hanging out in the bar area. We went to their restaurant for 1 dinner, and again there were only a few tables of guests.
The only place that definitely was busy was the Vin Villa wine bar, but I’m thinking that was probably the convention crowd since they seem to know each other.
Ok for 1 night, but not more.

The staff was rude and didn't want to be at work. We arrived at the hotel late Friday afternoon for a one night stay. The photos online are deceiving. The hotel in reality is much smaller and right in the middle of the city. Not a nice area of the Leimen. DIFFICULT PARKING! The room we were given didn't have any air-conditioning and the small fan in the corner didn't work without a remote. The remote was missing so we asked the front desk for the remote and the staff informed us that we needed to pay an upgrade to use the fan! We went to dinner which was a buffet and okay. The wait staff and bartender were just as rude as the rest of the staff but the food was okay. Once we got to the room, it was even hotter than before. I went back to the reception and the only kind employee in the entire hotel, Annabelle, helped me, and moved my mom (almost 90) and I to another room with air-conditioning at no charge! Breakfast was a buffet and also okay. No staff greeted us or offered to help. Villa Toskana is a disappointment. Stay elsewhere!

This is a strange hotel! Although the advertising shows that it is in the country, it actually is in the middle of a light industrial area (including a large cement plant). The layout is chaotic (everyone got lost all the time). It is not a good fit for a single or couple or family traveling (it is set up and makes its money on large conferences): the normal menu dinner service was replaced with a buffet; and we were constantly overrun by loud conference delegates and their need to smoke everywhere. If you want air-conditioning, then you need to pay for one of the more expensive rooms. If you want the spa, then you can only use it for limited times in the afternoon. If you want to park you have to scramble for a place in the surrounding neighborhood. Rumor has it that the hotel started as a place for the business visitors for the nearby computing giant SAP, but since SAP built their own hotel, this one has had to go down market to get business from hardware store product companies and hair stylists. On the positive side: the breakfast buffet was excellent (!), and this is the only place that anyone would want to stay in this town (Leimen) which is a run-down dump. I wish I could be more positive.

Would probably stay there again

Our apartment was lovely and spacious. We rented an apartment because we had to prepare food for a professional athlete, but the stove never worked. I went to the front desk multiple times to ask someone to fix it and they never did. They finally brought a microwave the last night we were there. Everyone at the front desk was very nice but the stove issue was bothersome. The restaurant was excellent, but an athlete requires certain foods before a race so that was not always an option. The entire hotel was very clean and well-kept.

Very industrial neighborhood with a cement plant next door. We were put in a satellite building, parking was extremely limited. There was one choice for food, a pricey dinner buffet. We walked a few blocks to a very friendly bar which had just what we wanted, but we wouldn't have done that after dark. Expensive breakfast.

Good hotel. I really like the idea and the ambiance. Location is ok. Restaurant was ok too. A bit pricey considering all they have on Friday and Saturday nights is buffet style eating. I don't think those meals were worth the cost. I did go to the Toskana Kosmetik institute for a massage but that was a process as well. Not easy to coordinate and can't be coordinated through the front desk.

I went for a large work meeting. I arrived to find sprawling property with multiple buildings and gardens between. The reception area was intimate, not like a large hotel chain lobby. I found my room to be beyond my expectations: large, modern, comfortable, with a big balcony, and a grattis mini bar. The service was great throughout my stay from reception to bartenders to servers to meeting support staff.

nice place weird staff

The place is in a off the beat area , it has lots of grocery stores very close by . The property is nice and clean . They accidentally upgraded us to a two bedroom suite , if you can afford it you should do it . They were beautiful and very large with washer and dryer in unit . The kitchen was not week stoked with items needed . The housekeeping kept coming in the unit . At one point they unlocked the door and two idiots were standing there asking me if I knew where some room number they were looking for . We both did not speak the same language and I had to say please leave , since they didn’t get the picture . Nice place lots of people working there but if there is any issues nobody has authority to make a decision without calling someone that’s not on the property . would say the housekeeping does a good job cleaning but nobody trained them past that . It’s weird because it’s a large property and lots of money invested but lacks uniformity.

It’s beautiful, it was more like a bunch of apartments. They did not have a fridge though for my sons bottle to stay cool, however, they directed me to the bar to get a huge bag of ice, lol...it worked though. They were all very pleasant to speak to, always upbeat. I loved the customer service, I will definitely be going back!

Sadly our stay wasnt that good. They have put us in a room in the new building however, they had a bug issue. Upon entering the room, we already saw three bugs, and when we told them about the issue, they gave us another room in the same building but also we saw two bugs the minute we entered the room, more over, the same bugs were also at the elevator. For me, this is a serious building problem. After that, they gave us a room at another building and we did not see any bugs in the room, but the staff did not really offer us anything for all the trouble we had to go through. We ended up sleeping at 1 am, which made the whole stay unpleasant.

Good place to stay

The room was comfortable and clean. The AC worked great. The staff were attentive and kin. The pool area seemed nice but I did not utilize personally. The self-serve washer and dryer were a huge plus since we were traveling for several weeks (I will note the washer drawer for detergent could use a good cleaning). The restaurant had good food but was a bit overpriced. The sitting areas are lovely.

The hotel was located right next to cement production plants with smoke stacks. Also, it takes about 25 minutes to get to the heart of Heidelberg by the city run tram which does not run frequently. However, to make up for all these drawbacks the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Also, the breakfast was excellent.

Brilliant: Clean, Comfortable and Quiet

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Toskana. Our plan was to spend a few days in Heidelberg, but given the prices of most hotels in the city, we opted for an affordable option - Villa Toskana. It reminded us of a resort and if you are driving, I highly recommend this place as it's only an 8-minute drive to the old town of Heidelberg. The staff is super friendly, and pleasant. The Italian restaurant is somewhat more on the fine-dining side but offers some delicious meals. The bar is nice as well. All in all, we would definitely come back here again.

Lovely hotel. My room was very large and clean with a nice balcony.
The bar area is nice and the staff are very helpful.
I accidentally left a plastic bag in my room on checkout which has cosmetics in that I had bought at the airport, and didn't realise until the next day when I returned to the UK. I wasn't very hopeful, but phoned up to ask if they had it and they said they would call me back. I assumed that would be the last I heard of it, but today I received an email saying they had found my items and would post them back to me free of charge. Very kind!

Nice Hotel but watch out for extra prices!

-Large Rooms
-free Parking
-quiet area

Cons:

-uncomfortable bed
-cheap synthetic pillow and blanket cases, definitely not what you expect from a 4*-Hotel!!! This caused me to rather not have a good sleep that night
-room was not overly clean
-Breakfast! Expedia said we need to pay for breakfast, but the reception said it is included. We ended up paying 16€ each (!!!) for a nothing more than average breakfast buffet. This really killed the whole stay.

I didnt visit the Spa and Wellness Area so I cant comment on that.

Overall:

The Hotel was okay but not really a 4*-Hotel when it comes to the beds and the cleanless. I will look for a different place next time!

If it is summer, remember the rooms have no AC.

It was the hottest day of the summer in 2015 and 38 C outside. I was given a room on the ground floor and said that this would be more comfortable. For the price that I paid I thought this would come with an air conditioner. No, to my surprise. I had to keep the french window/doors opening in to the balcony open. to cool down the room in the late evening. But the balcony was right next to one of the entrances. This meant that I had to also suffer from the noise of people coming in late at night. Needless to say not a night that I could go to sleep early after a tiring day.

A very nice hotel a little bit distant from centra

This is a nicely setup hotel close to Heidelberg and a short walk to the train. The rooms are large with amenities. Small things like a cake of soap placed on top of a glass come. There are conference rooms and the restaurant is excellent.

Mediterranean Villa and Spa near Heidelberg

I could almost imagine that I was staying at a friend's Mediterranean Villa somewhere in Tuscany perhaps. The main building is designed with several intimate sitting areas furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs that invite you to read or use a device or just relax for awhile with a drink. Our room was quite spacious and had a comfortable bed, plenty of storage and a lovely little balcony. The bathroom was also designed to please with its contemporary fixtures, fluffy towels and cozy bathrobes. Our problem was with the chairs. They might work in an office but they were not comfortable for sitting to watch television or just to relax. We did mention our problem to the desk but were told that those were the chairs in the rooms and that was that. The breakfast buffet was very good with a good variety of hot and cold items. So while we enjoyed our stay in some ways, we were disappointed that our problem with the chairs was ignored.

Very nice hotel but can be noisey

I enjoyed my stay at Villa Toskana, the hotel was very clean and they did an excellent buffet breakfast and main meal the only thing at could be improved here was there wine jugs where very damaged for the class of hotel but that's nothing.

The spa was the best I've seen, it's really big with saunas, steam room, heated seats, well equipped gym and loads more.

The rooms where clean, but they have no cooling this means leaving the window open and this can be a problem if you have a room facing the garden as you are right on top of people talking until around 12.30am which can be a pain. Other than that everything was excellent.

Lovely hotel, fantastic staff, perfect view

We chose this hotel for the view, we were not disappointed. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly too. The pool area is very nice and the food is good. Word of warning for British visitors, we were expecting quite an Italian feel for our stay but the hotel, staff and all signage is geared towards the Swiss/German market. Everyone could speak English however and were very happy to translate when asked.

Great location, but it's far from the city center

This was a wonderful location outside of Heidelberg. It gives you a great view of neighborhoods away from tourist traffic, and the hotel is amazing. Very clean, quiet, good service, yummy food. It's an easy 20 minute tram ride to the city center, so it's convenient, but don't expect to walk to any sites. It was a pleasant accident that I booked so far away!

I really liked this hotel. It is a bit out of town but you can catch the tram into the city, the room was really comfy and clean. Had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious and also reasonably priced. The hotel is in a bit of an industrial suburb and yes there is a cement factory close by but it is still a great place. Has a gym and on site parking. Supermarket up the road. Would recommend to all.

True definition of a GEM!

If there ever were a text book definition of a Gem, this hotel is exactly that. I was a bit apprehensive when I read about it being next to a cement plant, but was surprised when I arrived in this industrial town that looks more like a college campus with it's dorm like buildings surrounding the area. The hotel is a neat Tuscan village nestled in this campus. If it weren't for the big smoke stack next door, you would never notice there was a cement plant at all. The rooms are huge, definitely not the typical european broom closets you find. The tram stop is a block away and takes you directly into Heidelberg, the final stop so you don't have to worry about getting off the wrong stop. Staff was very friendly, the dinning room and the bar lounge is centrally located.

Very relaxing hotel

At first, we were a little apprehensive because of the location which seemed to be in an industrial area. However, once we entered and got settled, we realized how special the hotel was. The sauna was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly.

For people outside of Germany, people using the sauna were naked and it was coed. We were surprises but eventually got used to it, even though we used towels judiciously.

Little oasis in unlikely location, easy travel by tram to Heidelberg. Stayed here for a month last year while my wife was in hospital in Heidelberg, found staff excellent, room excellent, definitely recommend. Came back for a weekend and as good as we remembered. Excellent Italian restuarant for a special evening in.Definitely recommended.

Really nice hotel with very nice staff. Only disadvantage is it is outside Heidelberg in a residential area. However you are 5 minutes walk from the tram into town and easy to get a taxi back at night. It's cheaper than most hotels in the city centre.

Next to a cement factory, but hey!

This was a great hotel. It belonged to several italian styled hotels in Germany. The layout and decor was great, although definitely not first class. Balconies to enjoy the evening overlooking the hotel's large central park/court. Great Breakfast with friendly service. The teenage girl who checked me in left something to be desired, so ask you questions while you have the clerk; they are not very forthcomingl. Surround town is not interesting, but only 10 km to Heidelberg. It was fun watching containers of cement go by near the hotel on an elevated cable tram! I was there in August, so didn't have a problem with noisy businessmen that others complained about. This is a nice spacious, comfortable hotel with a not so great location. I recommend it highly.

Nice hotel-22 mins from Heidelberg's old town

I stayed in a double room: It was a large, clean, charming and comfortable room. The WiFi was free. I would stay there again.
The hotel lies 4 mins walk from tram station Johannes Reidel Strasse.
The tram ride to the old town takes 18 mins. Note: The ticket machine at Johannes Reidel Strasse does not accept money or foreign credit cards, so unless you already have a ticket you should head for the next station; Zementwerke, a short walk. You need a 2-zone ticket to get to the old town or railway station.
Some reviewers claim there is noise from the cement factory. I heard no noise at all during the three days in late July 2012.
On the negative side: There is no air condition.

A very nice hotel in a small insignificant town

The hotel is big and modern but still manages to be cosy and nice. My room had plenty of space and was clean. Lack of airconditioning can be a problem on a hot summer day as now my room was a bit too warn when outside temp was 23degC. Hotel has a very good gym, free weights etc. Also several saunas and steam rooms to choose from. Hotel restaurant is very classy, modern experimental dishes. You may need to make a table reservation; I had to wait 30 mins for a table as the restaurant was full. I will visit here again!

Everything was fine with the exception of Internet access not being the best in all areas of Hotel. My room in non-smoking section of hotel could not gather strong enough signal to work.
Other than that, service, cleanliness, etc was excellent. I have stayed there before to visit customer and would stay again.

Very nice place to stay, wish we could have stayed longer!

We used Expedia for a last minute place to stay and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was one of the best we stayed out on our trip through Germany. Very clean and comfortable. Wish we could have enjoyed the wonder outdoor space!

The Hotel Villa Toskana in Heildeberg was a nice treasure to find, was located in a residental community and was quite colorful. My room on the top floor was very spacious and clean, the bathroom was well appointed and I loved the decor of the whole hotel, if you like minimalist and abstract you love this little gem. On the negative side I thought that 20 euros for breakfast was a little over priced.also I was awaken 6;00AM to the sounds of constuction outside, and I was on the 4th floor, just imagine what the lower floors were hearing, all in all I had an enjoyable stay.

Beware of the location

The hotel is very tastefully decorated and in a convenient location, except that it is right next to a cement factory. It is not an issue until the mornings with deliveries and loud noises. If you are up early, no issue, or, of you are lucky to have a room away from the factory, you are alright.

Food in restaurant is amazing. Worth visiting even ify ou are not staying at the hotel.

Great Heidelberg Area Deal

This hotel is not in the best location, but if you have a car, you can easily make it downtown Heidelberg in 15 minutes. Compared to the hotel fees you would pay downtown, it is a great value! The rooms are large and clean, there is a spa that can be used at no charge to hotel guests, and the restaurant is very good.

Unsere Wohnung war super. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück war toll. Das Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend.
Pool wollten wir nicht testen, da unsere jüngere Tochter noch nicht rein durfte.

Hotelzimmer waren sehr geräumig und sauber, Personal war sehr freundlich trotz kleiner Kritik. Abendessen war sehr lecker, was auch für das super mega leckere Frühstück gilt. Die Getränkeauswahl im Wellnessbereich lässt allerdings zu wünschen übrig. Die Preise für Wellness und Hotel zusammen sollten besser und deutlich ersichtlich sein. Damit würde man sich einige Unannehmlichkeiten sparen. Alles in allem aber ein sehr schönes Wochenende gehabt.

Badezimmer defekt und im schlechten Zustand. Wände im Zimmer zerkratzt. Spinnweben zur Decke hin. Und das alles zu einem übertriebenen und unpassenden Preis. Der Witz sind die Extrakosten für den Wellnesbereich von 59€!!

Das Penthouse war sauber und gut eingerichtet, aber die Ausstattung ließ zu wünschen übrig, was das Geschirr und Besteck betrifft keine Eierbecher, zu wenig Löffel, ein Bierglas, 2 Weingläser vier Sektgläser kaum Koch Besteck..

Da wir mit Hund angereist sind, waren wir sehr erfreut über das geräumige, saubere und relativ neue Zimmer. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel liegt etwas ausserhalb aber immernoch ganz ok. Beim hauseigenen Restaurant hatten wir leider nicht pech und mussten knapp 1 1/2 Std auf unser Essen warten an sonsten was es aber gut.

Schönes gehobenes Hotel. Zimmer sauber, groß und ruhig. Personal immer freundlich. Der inbegriffe Wellnessbereich war sauber, ruhig, mit Getränken und Snacks und fpr kurze Erholung ausreichend. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Auch das Frühstück war in gut.

Matratze etwas hart, dafür gute Kissenauswahl. Toilettenspülung gat nicjt immer gut funktioniert.

Umgebung sehr schön.
