Room was tiny but sufficient. Finding our room was somewhat difficult - it was a maze. The hotel needs some general maintenance and repairs. The shower did not prevent water from getting all over the floor of the bathroom. They needed additional staff at the desk and they also needed more valet help.

Everything about the hotel itself was great. The people were great. The staff were great. The room was great, but there was some issues with the conditioning unit. The coffee maker was never clean very dirty. Our windows are view was great, but the windows look like they were molding on outside, so there was some things that just was not pleasant but overall the experience and stay was great.

We stayed in a different side of the hotel than last year. The side was old, smelled like mold and dampness, the carpet needs to be replaced. The room was clean, but smelled musty. Very disappointed in the room compared to our stay last year. The location is absolutely perfect.

No water to drink ever in the lobbies it was always empty when I was thirsty, and I think the place was kind of under construction. I thought there was a rooftop and I could never get to it.
But the staff was really nice and the room was nice and I always wanted to stay there.

Hotels.com transferred me \"directly\" to the Crowne Plaza for 2 room as they no longer had another room at Best Western. I booked 2 rooms and the receptionist transfered me to a resort company for me to sign up. When I did not sign up the guy was rude and hung up on me. I immediately called Crowne Plaza Astor and they verified the 2 reservations.When I get there on June 4th they could only find 1 reservation under Alan D. Martinez and not mine Rose Martinez. The hotel manager let me check in paying for incetends for both rooms. He gave me his business card and told me to come back later. I did and he was not there, so I asked if someone else could help me. No one could, they said I need to come back the next day. I went the next day and he called off and again, no one else could help me. This went on for the whole weekenc, i felt something was not right. The hotel has gone to pot! I booked the Crowne for its roof top pool. The pool was closed and told us they had another pool on the 3rd floor. We went to the 3rd floor and the water was GREEN! We 4 of us went to complain about both pools. The staff said if we really wanted a pool they would ask another hotel to accomadate us! I can just see ourselves walking down Canal or Bourbon Street in our swim suits. The experience was horrible! Then, my daughter gets charged $757.40 for a room that I had been trying to pay the day we arrived! I was charged $300 more than originally quoted. I await your response.

Room ac was leaking into floor which soaked carpet - the carpet then stunk which made the room stink - we reported nothing happened , our room didn’t get cleaned for 2 days we had to ask for it to be cleaned.
Ice machines were rarely working - not on every floor and the one you found was out of ice -
I would stay elsewhere for the $$

Everything was great but when we got our room we had to automatically get the maid to change the sheets. Our sheets were dirty along with the pillows. Then upon leaving, the valet had our car keys mixed up so there was a wait on that!!!!!!!! How do you mix up people car keys when you give use a ticket before we get out?!!!!!!!

My room unfortunately had two small leaks. I put down towels and it was fine. The hotel staff was amazing. Offered
To transfer me rooms but I had already unpacked. The towels did the job. It wasn’t over the bed so I was fine. Shower was amazing and I slept well!! Location was great too. Everything was in walking distance. We did also eat at the hotel and the food was amazing!! Even with the small issues, I’d stay again.

This is a nice hotel, great location. The staff was really helpful and our room was made up and cleaned daily. It did have a musty smell the night we got there (it was pretty bad) but it cleared up the next day and it was fine the rest of the time, so I’m not sure what that was about. It’s not a luxury hotel, but for the price, it’s a good deal. Hot shower, comfy beds. We thought it was just fine.

There was no microwave in our room, which was disappointing. The pool is not cleaned daily, there were hairs and bugs floating at the top, and the paint was chipping off into the water. The faucet in our bathtub ran constantly, no matter how you turned it. Other than this, it was a good stay and you can't beat the location!

We had to switch rooms three times. The first room had mold above the door, when you first walk in, and water damage on the ceiling. The second room, the bed and pillows were hard as a rock. The last room was doable. Front desk staff were helpful in switching rooms. The valet staff were horrible! It took them over an hour to get our car on my birthday, costing us to miss our dinner reservation at 8pm. We had to find a new restaurant to go.

Paid for this specific hotel for the amenities. The pool was not available the entire trip. I was notified during checkout that the pool will be available that day. Had to pay for a day pass at another hotel for the pool. Manager offered nothing for the inconvenience.

Air conditioning was great in rooms and evevywhere else. Staff very hepfull. furniture room outdated , draw did not have knob on to open at desk . The pool needs a lot of help. Not working , skimmer, not working. Which made the pool unsafe. It should be closed , painted ans fixed. In assigned smoking area needs to be there too. People were smoking with no concern of others . I was told pool has been broken for a while , reason all the ports are pluged

The hallways inside the property lingered of mold . I had to switch my room because the smell was so bad in the first room. They did put us in a different room, but that room also smelled like mold but not as bad. There was no visible sign of mold but it most definitely smelled like it. Besides that the hotel was ok, but i will never book a room here again.

Loved the staff. We had to switch rooms bc the first smelled so musty we were gagging. The second was a little better so we roughed it out. I understand it is an old hotel and NOLA weather is humid. I would stay here again just bc the staff was so amazing. The location was perfect too. I was nervous it would be loud bc of Bourbon but it was perfect. Musty smell is my only complaint and it drove my allergies crazy.

The pool was under maintenance while we were there which is why we picked this hotel so that was disappointing. Check in and out was easy but no one offered any information about the hotel or the area.

Checking in was a breeze and the staff was really nice during check in. I got to room and was disgusted. It smelt like feet and the bathroom door would get stuck. When I first arrived, the first room we were sent to was dirty and smelled extremely bad. There was black mold in the shower. The second room they sent us to was locked from the inside. The third room, the bathroom leaked and the shower didn’t work too well. I will be requesting a partial or full refund. This was a trip for my birthday and it wasn’t great. The pool wasn’t open after saying it was when I called.

This hotel is located on the corner of Bourbon St and Canal St and I booked it a day before embarking on a cruise leaving from New Orleans. I did expect some party noise considering the location, but what I actually experienced was deafening noise coming from cars stopping at the corner near the hotel with the loudest speakers blasting music until 4am. I was not able to sleep and I was in a state of shock experiencing this literal torture, the hotel was vibrating and shaking from this noise. I did express my concern to the staff at the front desk, but as an explanation they just shook their heads and said it gets worse during the weekends and there was nothing they could do about it.

The room was clean and as described. The location is ideal for walking anywhere you want to walk in and around the French Quarter. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room seemed “worn” like the carpet was worn in some spots and coming up. A musty smell in the bathroom. Oh and they switched valet tickets with another car and couldn’t find our vehicle for a while but they eventually found it and our key fob. Good thing we had photos of our vehicle and license plate.

from dropping our car with the valet team, to the checking in at reception the whole experience was faultless. upon check in Charles advised us we were being upgraded to a suite, which was outstanding! we then met Juan in the lift who said he had a surprise to bring to our room-where he then gifted us a bottle of fizz. the room was out of this world, the service from the staff was exceptional and the hotel itself was amazing. great location, great amenities, 10/10. we only stayed two nights so didn’t get chance to use the pool or gym, but we took a look at them and both were great. it were ever visiting NOLA again we will certainly use the hotel

We arrived early in the day with full intentions of having to drop our bags off before getting our room we were able to get in our room early, which was nice since we have an infant only complaint is the mattresses are a little too firm in the blankets are very thin. Girl at the front desk that checked us in was very friendly and there's valet that cost $50 a day but they're their 24 hours per day

Everything was great but there is some structural damage and a coat of paint needed on the 4th floor corridor. Additionally, the first night we got there the pool was extremely dirty so we didn’t get to use it. But staff let us know it would be cleaned later in the week. Overall it was a great experience. The rooms are clean, staff was great, and it’s super convenient because of its location.

Checking.in was awesome we arrived.early and want to go look around. Guy helping.us check in looked at us and by our age said you probably want something away from elevator and I said yes please so he said give us just a little time gave us a couple of rts passes and guided us to.the garden district where my wife wanted to.go first .we went visited and back in an hour and room.was ready still 1.5.hrs before check in.
I watched the staff help everyone not just me. But everyone in the area.

Great location, clean rooms, appropriately priced. Very nice staff. Only complaint is their parking scam, you pay $50 for overnight parking, not 24 hours parking. So they charge you another $20 if you stay after 2pm. Other than that, the hotel was great and will definitely return!

The hotel itself is older, but it is maintained. Its not a 4 star hotel, I would say 3 but because of its location, I can see the appeal.The staff was accommodating, and check-in was quick and easy. There is one restaurant on the property that offers a breakfast buffet for around $25 per person which which is reasonably priced.
The location is the hotel's biggest highlight. You can walk right outside and find Bourbon Street to your right and Royal Street to your left. The hotel sits directly on Canal Street, surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants. Overall, it's a great value for the price and an excellent choice if you want to be in the heart of everything.

1. Cleanliness. The day before we were to leave we found a hot pink tampon applicator on the floor of the closet as well as a dead cockroach over an inch long. We didn’t call the desk. Check out was next day. It was so gross. Also the inside of the toilet has built up black gunk of some kind in the inner front side. Again/ horrible. 2. Coffee is served in the lobby but not after 8 am in New Orleans? That is just poor customer service. 3. The location and price were great. I wish mgmt could make the hotel

Age is starting to show on this building. Thought we were slipping on bricks and the A/C flooded the area around it anytime it was turned on. Property is bare minimum and would have liked a heads up as to the painting they did. I got a severe migraine from all the fumes and had to go to urgent care

The carpets in the room leave alot to be desired. Sticky, crumbs from what I'm assuming is food was stuck all the over the carpet in my room. Additionally, there was a reddish stain all over the carpet. The temperature in the room was difficult to control; it was freezing and they didn't have an extra blanket/comforter in the closet, which most hotels that know what they're doing typically do. I also greatly miscalculated & didn't realize that if your room is facing Canal street, and on the lower floors, you'll have the pleasure of listening to all the street performers, music from the bars/clubs, restaurants and drunk people yelling - through the paper thin walls. So if a silent peaceful sleep is your thing, this isn't the hotel for you.

We selected this hotel because of the price and location but it could have been better. It was just “meh”. The lobby was nice-ish but beyond that it felt dated and dirty. The pool needed to be cleaned, broken sun lounger was just shoved the corner and other chairs were in disrepair. Rooms and corridors just felt dingy. I’m sure the small windows contributed to this. The mattresses are hard and noisy; toiletries are difficult to pump out of bottles and no lotion provided. Water is scalding hot to the point of burning when warm water is barely turned on. It’s an alright spot
To crash near bourbon street but didn’t love it here.

Charles at check-in and whenever we strolled past the front desk he greeted us with a smile. Billy at Concierge was mist accommodating with the city tour.
Bellman “D” (from Jamaica) was so kind and helpful with walking directions and sharing an umbrella with us. He also made sure my Uber was booked correctly.
