Location is the best attribute of this hotel. After that and the decent included breakfast (not Mexican), there’s a lot to be improved. The condition of the rooms is a pity. For such a good location, they could invest in updating and maintaining this property’s rooms. Apart from old and mostly non functioning, electric system is a hazard. No hand towel and never got it even after asking for it. No more pillows available either. A/C is as old as the hotel and never warmed up (apart from making a loud noise). Price was interesting for the area, but comes with a price. The 3 stars they get are because of its location. This hotel somewhere else would get 1.

This is an old-fashioned hotel with no modern amenities such as USB ports, a refrigerator, or a strong Wi-Fi signal. It looks reasonably convenient overall, but it can get noisy if your room is close to the street.

The bathroom has a tub that is difficult to access and inconvenient for anyone with limited mobility. Only two bath towels were provided, and they were hard, old, and rough. Even though I asked the reception to change them, I kept receiving towels of the same quality. No hand towels or a bathmat were included.

The continental breakfast consists of a small cup of coffee, a sandwich, and four pieces of fruit. I tried it once, but it’s better to get breakfast elsewhere.

I visit Mexico City frequently and have never experienced limits on towels or on continental breakfast portions that are counted.

This place needs to upgrade its restroom facilities in the rooms and it's electrical. In order to charge my phone I needed to disconnect a lamp. And even then it didn't work the. Hotel was nice location great, the food need a bit more attention specially when you order eggs, I order over easy eggs, I couldn’t eaten, they look like volcano crater bubbles all over I don’t know how they cooked but it was bad, I’m sorry to tell you but I will definitely will come back and stay with you guys again or recommend to any one, thank you for having me and my wife.

The main reason for booking this hotel was the location, it is close to the Historic Center and with good dinning options really close. We are really disappointed about the room condition, the sink was not draining properly even after reporting it to the front desk and a visit from the maintenance team. The bathroom is not something to brag about. The towels are really old, it seems they don't replace them, the a/c was loud but it kept the temperature nicely. The staff is friendly but apparently they cannot help due to limited resources, we asked for an extra pillow (my wife needed it due to health situation) and they told us the couldn't provide it.
It is a beautiful building but is old and in need of upgrades. We got a great rate and enjoyed our time in Mexico City and the location of this hotel helped a lot.

Need to be more hospitable

Hotel did not want give more shower towels after letting them know that there were occupants in the room. They didn’t want to give an extra voucher either for the continental breakfast. They didn’t let you take any coffee nor food to your rooms from the breakfast area. Staff did not bother trying to accommodate in type of way or even tried to contact management for us.

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing due to the terrible customer service. Brenda from the morning shift, in particular, had an unacceptable attitude for someone who works in guest services. She was rude, impatient, and seemed unconcerned with helping with our requests. Her lack of manners and interest in providing good service made our experience very unpleasant.

If the hotel wants to improve its reputation, it should make the staff more friendly and professional. The hotel itself is beautiful from the outside and in the reception area. The rooms are another story. Super old and smell like dirty water. You can hear too much street noise, so if you want to sleep, this is not the place! The floor or carpet is so dirty that you shower and immediately your heels are dirty again just from walking in the same room. This hotel is supposedly 5-star and quite expensive, and based on my stay and how my husband, family, and I were treated, I definitely will not return or recommend it.

The checkin was smooth and thry were friendly and helpful. My issues were the room condition. The two chairs for the table were in need of repair. The leather was coming off in places. Also the rug was coming up at the door to the balcony. The shower was ok. The shower head could have been better. I didnt feel liek i properly got rinsed and the tub did not have anti slip in it. As someone whos slipped and fallen and spent a month in the hospital this makes me nervous.

On the first day the woman came to service the room at 8:30 a.m.. The room wasn't serviced that day. The second day 8.30 again. She returned at 5, we left our room so she could service it. The bath towels were of poor quality. I asked for hand towels, we got one, it wasn't changed the entire week. The continental breakfast which was included was very poor and the same every morning. A member of staff at reception was surly and unhelpful, everything was too much trouble for her. On two nights there was a party that didn't finish until 1:30 a.m.. The music was so loud it could be heard in our room 2 floors above. I complained at reception but nothing could be done about it. We were unable to sleep until the parties had finished. Nothing could be charged to the room. It's the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It should be removed from your website.

It is important to note that Spanish speaking is essential or Google translate to interact with the staff. The room's carpet was dirty and stained with an odor. There was no fridge or microwave in the rooms so that should be noted. Washcloths are not available so bring your own. While the location is ideal for being in the city, the downside is the city noise will affect your sleep. Lastly the bed was so uncomfortable and hard, my hips are still complaining.

Rooms with a lot of noise. The cleaning in the rooms is almost absent. Reception the 2nd and 3rd shift little organized.The included breakfast it's continental, but very poor and always the same: ( coffee, 1sandwiche, little slices of fruits, 1 glass of juice). Only 1 towel per person in the room.
Good things: transportation close by, safe and central location.

Terrible! The rooms doesn’t have air conditioner properly, the rooms are old and the worst part; the breakfast! Includes “continental breakfast “ I stayed there for 7 days, just 1 option, fruit, orange juice, coffe and sandwich, yes 7 days eating sandwich, they said that they offer buffet breakfast but its costs 180 mxn per person, and it’s awful too! The service is nice. But I won’t be stay there for my next trip.

Rooms are nothing like the advertised photos. A/C did not work at all. Staff did not change us rooms and did nothing to resolve issue. Restaurant food was terrible and gave us upset stomach and dirreah. We left after the first nught and booked elsewhere because Expedia app said we could not change or cancel reservation after check in hours.

I'm sure this was luxury hotel in the early part of the nineteenth century. It is beautiful outside and in the lobby -- the dark wood and the marble floors are lovely. Unfortunately, the rooms are not. The sides of the bathtub are extremely high and with the sliding glass doors, almost impossible to get into the tub. It seemed like everything leaked. In fact, when taking a shower the outside drain overflowed and the carpeting from the bathroom to the door was flooded. No one came to help when we called. We put down towels but were not moved to another room until the next day. No fans were brought in to dry the carpeting. Our new room had a great walk-in shower. Unfortunately, the TV and the air conditioning did not work. We had to beg for towels, particularly for a hand towel for the sink to dry our hands. For the most part, service was slow or non-existent (except for Manuel and Katrina). However, the price was good. There is a continental breakfast (if you wait long enough to be served) and it was okay. Location is fantastic. Would we stay there again -- no but it was an adventure the first time.

This is an old hotel. It’s in need of some updates and repairs but overall in good condition. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. There was water leaking in the restroom and the elevator was down for part of our stay, a slight inconvenience. The location is great, it’s in a very walkable part of town with great dining options nearby. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Overall it was a good stay.

My biggest problem was that the room that I booked was not available and I was given a different room with 2 single beds, not ideal for a romantic vacation. The staff at the hotel blamed Expedia for overselling and did nothing to find a solution.

Great location, but the hotel rooms need improvements, maintenance and update. The room we were assigned to had sticky floor/carpet. (2) thin, sandpaper bath towels and (1) hand towel were allotted to us; we had to request (2) additional towels every other day. I had to hold onto the shower door handle and wall towel hook to get out of the bathtub; it was too high.

Además de la privilegiada ubicación, la limpieza y el buen mantenimiento que se percibe en la propiedad, destaca la belleza de su construcción y decoraciones.
La habitación es muy cómoda, la distribución del mobiliario, baño y closet también fueron de nuestro agrado.
Un gran inconveniente es la comunicación vía telefónica, a mi llegada a la ciudad quise avisar que registraría tarde y nunca atendieron la llamada; tiene la opción de hacerlo vía web, por medio de su aplicación Ayenda, lo que también fue imposible y por WhatsApp tampoco pudieron ayudarme; motivo por el que debí apresurar mi arribo al hotel y no tener problemas.

The Tub is a safety hazzard for anyone with flexibility and or mobility issues. The step down is super tall even for my 1.85cm husband . There is no safetly handle. I am 1.65 cm and I needed help to get out of the shower.
The AC broke down in the whole building. We had 4 rooms and all where super hot ( outside temperature was 28°C ) My parents and siblings moved to the hotel next door because of the heat. They had payed the week in advance and they have not been reimbursed ( 1 week after the fact)

My room was on the west side of the building and I live in germany so we are not use to AC , we managed to stay but it did get warm during the day.

There is an add from the Hotel chain that says - toiletries kit and water bottle - but our stay was 4 nights and never were the water bottles replaced. Twice I asked in the front desk for this , they told me it had an extra charge I agreed to pay it and yet never was the water repleced in the room , nor where we given more coffee.

My husband loved the buffet breakfast, he just hated the fact that you had to ask for your plate to be served ( he said that adding the need to speak to a stranger every time you want something takes away from the buffet experience )

The security lock in the room entrance door was broken. Therefore it lacks basic security. Safety box did not work.

Booked this hotel because someone mentioned it.
I guess you get what you pay for.
Location is perhaps the only good thing about it.
Rooms are old and outdated. Lack of electric outlets, lamp on nightstand didn’t work. Very high bathtub (adventure getting in and out). Shower head loose, water coming in all directions. We paid extra for breakfast and it was only two old toasts with butter and coffee , ahh and saggy slices of fruit.
Personnel tried their best (not even).
It was only a quick two days trip and planned to go out and about so did t care much. But they can do better.

A Jewel Hotel in Reforma Mexico City

It was good, great restaurant and excellent food, very cordial assistants and managers. Showers need improvement due their very high risk to folks that may have some physical difficulties. Location is great! Though it has some minor functionality problems, I will highly recommended to my contacts.
