We stayed at the Novotel for 6 days and it was phenomenal. The staff was very courteous and easy to communicate with. The breakfast was amazing and the entire facility was very clean and comfortable to stay in.

The subway is like 5 minutes f a walk which really made the visit very easy.

The hotel was good in terms of facilities and staff however there was no hot water for 3 days and no water at all for one day meaning nobody could shower. The AC was also very hot and was not cold enough for the weather meaning sometimes it was hotter inside than outside!

The experience in this hotel was mot really good. We requested a room changed and they gave us a room for the disabled, faucets were so hard to turn that I wonder how a person with disability will be able to handle that. We stayed at Novotel for 5 days 4 nights, we never had AC although they said the AC was ok, I requested a fan to not succes. The cleaning crew did not do a good job, pieces of french fries on the carpet were never picked up, that was left there from the former guests. They did not put clean towels and also the coffee stirring stick were never replaced.

A truly dreadful experience filthy room shocking state of bathroom and toilet. Truly disgusting . I expect more from Novotel having just stayed in one of their hotel suites in Nice for 8 nights and having a wonderful experience. I am expecting a refund for this awful experience at the Novotel Paris est conference.

Not a good experience

The hotel overall is okay. The lobby, restaurant, and common areas are quite new and well-maintained. However, I had a major issue with the room—specifically the bathroom.

The room itself was spacious and relatively comfortable, but the bathroom was in very poor condition. It was outdated, with visible mold on the ceiling and wallpaper. The bathtub was stained and looked unclean, and the water pressure and temperature were inconsistent, making for an unpleasant shower experience.

Additionally, the front desk staff were quite rude, which added to the negative impression.

If you don’t mind a subpar bathroom, the stay might be acceptable. But for me, traveling for work, a good shower at the end of the day is essential. Unfortunately, this hotel didn’t meet that basic need.

I wouldn’t recommend it—consider other options if available.

Booked a double room with a fridge only to find out on site that they removed all fridges from their room!
Each room has huge curtains but only one small window and the rest is just a wall.
I didn’t like the ugly texture all over the walls and ceiling.The safe was broken and unusable. Cigarette burn on the chair, window handle stayed in my hand, marks on shower floor…
Room was ok but blah. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Paris stay

Quick stay with 2 twin beds. Our bathtub didn’t drain correctly and the shower curtain needs to be replaced. We wished both beds had phone charging outlets, not just one. The lobby area is nice, but the hallways smelled of cigarettes. No pool. About 30 mins to city center by public transit and the train or bus stop is about 7mins walk.

I booked a Novotel Hotel to have a good experience. Firstly, i arrived at 8am, waited for 6hrs at the lobby. 2pm, I stood at the counter for 30mins before I shouted to be attended to. I got to my room, big patch of stain on the rug, several hair strands on the bed. Shower tray waste water not properly draining. I have spent over 600 euros for this bad experience.

The staff were okay. We booked a room with double bed and sofa bed. We checked-in and when we unfold sofa bed, it does not have matters, instead of getting a new matters, they were asking us to move a room, that's around 1AM. We were tired after travel and had to fight to get a new room.

Staff were able to scramble and gave us a new room, but new room does not have soap and fixtures are broken in bath room.

The only positive thing with hotel is staff; when we report an issue they will try to address within their capacity.

A two and a half star hotel with rude staff

It is not a four star hotel in a million years. It doesn’t even reach three stars.
The hotel staff have no idea of customer service. Many of them were rude.
1. The key to the room did not work multiple times during our stay and we had to go back to reception and make a line to reactive it.
2. Only few of the elevators work up to a point in which a lot of people wait to go up.
3. Three of four times no one answered the gate door. Not even when the car that would take us to the airport tried to enter. We even went inside to ask the security guy at the entrance to open it and he said he couldn’t in a very rude way.
4. To enter to have breakfast there were lines every day of over 33 people even though there were plenty of empty tables inside. When we asked, they said they were under staffed.
5. The person at check in was not welcoming or friendly at all. He didn’t even pat attention to our questions or try to answer them.
6. Even to leave and pick up luggage at reception you have to do it yourself in the storage room (which shall not happen in a four star hotel).
7. The AC did not work in the rooms and the convention’s meeting halls.
8. The room condition is not that of the four stars the hotel portrays at their entrance. It’s more a two and a half.

First of all we waited 1 1/2 hours for a cab from the property. We still don’t understand the problem. At the front desk they are understaffed and disorganized. The gym was closed for renovation but no one at the front desk made us aware.. There is no where at the hotel to get water to drink. The vending machines were out of water for 3 days.The rooms are old fashioned and the layout cramped. We had to prop open the drain in the tub for it to drain. Won’t be back.

The commodities were fine. But the staff was very rude and unhelpful in every way you can imagine !! There is no culture of helping the client for the staff!!! We ordered a taxi at 5 am for the airport and there was another family that ordered the same and they had the nerve to squeeze us all (8 people for a van for 7 !!) in the van !! And charge us the same !! Besides that, the staff from the counter was not helpful in any way ! They just don’t like answering questions!!

St. Denis? probaly not again.

Arrived on Thursday 26th May and all went well. Metro station very close by. Rooms were comfy if a little cold but no problem.
We were not able to close the curtains without using force so sleep was interrupted by lights on the outside of the building and the early sunshine in the morning.
On the Friday we had breakfast which was a bit chaotic as a result of the number of guests but it was ok.
When we returned to the hotel at tea time the lifts were out of order except two which were over subscribed by the visitors. This theme continued through out our stay. Whilst we used the stairs down from our room on the eighth floor at our elderly age we couldnt walk up eight flights.
The room was poorly cleaned and we still had dirty cups in our room on Monday when we left Paris as had been there from Thursday. Despite contacting the reception across the weekend we never got any new tea or coffee or milk placed in our room.
The area of St Denis is not the best but we never felt threatened when we were out in the eveni8ng but bars and restaurants were few and far between.
All in all its not a hotel we will revisit, the staff were generally ok, polite enough but nothing brilliant by any means.

Room in bad state of repair, possibly dangerous.

Shower randomly becomes scolding hot (as in leaves skin red for 24 hours). Seemed dangerous, particularly for an old person as the shower is designed to sit under - hard to escape.

Hotel sent a plumber promptly but failed to fix. The plumber noted the bath was also blocked and took the bath plug as part of his repair of that, so we had no choice but to use the dangerous shower. I am not picky about hotels but I am not exaggerating about this shower - it is going to injure someone.

Despite the big new TV, many of the other fittings were old and falling appart, for instance the toilet roll holder and bathroom tissue dispenser had both failed and the bedside lights were broken.

Location was handy for central Paris, with a big supermarket nearby. Slighly run down area but busy with a lot of life. Breakfast average better food nearby. Lobby comfortable but no bar just vending machine.

For the price of the stay compared to quality, I wouldn't stay here again. The rooms/furniture is quite old and feels outdated (though very big room for Paris standards), and the toilets are in a separate cubicle to the bathroom. Service was also not great, and felt like a nuisance to the staff who didn't feel like serving you.

Convenient location for the price

Hotel location allows for easy access to the city as well as the aiport. Covid restrictions have put a damper on available services, bu they seem to be making their best effort. Breakfast is less robust than I experienced on prior visits, or even what I've had recently at other locations, but there are still good options

I have stayed before in Novotel hotels before but this one was the worst.
For start, the room that I ordered via Hotels.com was not available. Moreover I was told this type of room doesn't exist in that hotel.
Secondly, the staff was very unfriendly, rude and very unserviceable. I ordered a room with breakfast. But when I checked in the receptionist argued and insisted the room was not ordered with breakfast. Eventually the reservation checked again and confirmed that breakfast was indeed included with room.
All in all Im very dissatisfied and I will not come back to this hotel again.
I believe and hope this does not represent the rest of the chain.

It was a beautiful hotel. Prior to arrival I asked if we could check in early due to arriving at 9am and check in was at 2. No rooms available and couldn’t check in till 2pm. To waste time, We ate breakfast, good. We even walked to the nearby shopping center. While waiting in the lobby/lounge area the guy bartender was very rude to us, after us sitting on the area where the couches and TV were for 2 hours, he rudely approached us no sleeping here as we were bums off the street! there wasn’t anywhere for us to wait till our room was ready. That’s not how you should treat paying customers in your establishment very poor customer service!! They spoke little to no English, the rooms were very hot like a sauna and no one could help us adjust the temperature. I also wanted to send out a postcard from the front desk and I asked the guy at the counter if he had stamps available for purchase to send off postcards and he said yes. So while I was checking out I asked to buy a stamp and apparently I was given wrong information about buying a stamp the previous night so I couldn’t get my postcard sent out prior to leaving. Overall the location was great, right near the subway station which was the easiest way to get around.

We stayed there for 4 days and it was excellent stay. Staff are very helpful and they do speak English also so we felt at home.
Only down size was Tv don’t give you option to get subtitle in English as all channels are french spoken with no English subtitles. Food portions were very big worth every penny spent. Will definitely go back there soon.

Large hotel near Eurolines international coach centre and the motorway. Used by large coach trip holidays. Rooms a little dated. Lifts very slow. Gym doesn’t open till 9am so not much good if on business. Breakfast average and staff find difficult to keep replenished.

This is a nice hotel. The location don't look great but it's like 5 mins walk to Gallieni Metro station. McDonalds next to station and other food places. So easy to travel into the centre of Paris. We booked it early enough so worked out just over £200 for two nights for two rooms. One double and one triple. When checked nearer the time was double the price. I gave it OK for \"Property condition & facilities\" as the aricon in the bedroom even at the coolest is not cool enough and the room was very hard to sleep in and also the windows do not open so cannot let air in. Would be a bit of a night mare in the summer as we went late Oct and still hot then. If could do something about that aircon and windows then a great hotel really.

It was worst stay of mine in any hotel in Europe. Bath Tub was leaking and their is water everywhere, they even did not clean room and when we entered 2nd evening there was unbearable smell in the room. Other than that beds were really uncomfortable. There was noise coming from top like some sort of machine was running whole night.

Disabled facilities are not accessible- I was given a so called accessible room it had no grab rails near toilet or on bath. Standard bath so completely useless if a wheelchair user needed it. Plug was missing

Toilet rolls not replaced despite 4 calls to reception in 4 hours ended up having to hunt down a cleaning trolley in the hall to get my own and raise formal complaint with hotel manager.

The property is an older dated hotel in the east end of Paris. The staff was friendly at check in however our room wasn’t stocked with soaps, shampoo, toilet paper etc. Almost like the room wasn’t serviced or half complete. When you called house keeping service they were extremely slow in providing the requested items and at times totally ignored the request. My wife an I had to go to the front desk and ask. Overall the location was convenient and access to Metro and bus station. I would pay a more and stay at a different hotel.

The breakfast was great and the bar lounge area was very nice. They are updating the hotel including a really nice outdoor seating, however it was not available due to construction. Our room had a leak over the air conditioner, that soaked the floor in front of the bathroom and bed. My parents room also had a leak and poor air conditioning. The staff were a bit overwhelmed there were several large groups which resulting in some of the given poor customer service.

The property has a modern lobby good for hanging out, please note large groups do book at this hotel throughout the night and the lobby is filled with people, teenagers for our experience. For the rooms, we stayed in the executive suite on the 10th and 12th floors. The rooms accommodate 3-4 people with 2nd bed converting from sofa. The rooms were pretty small, but if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep and that is clean with basic amenities, then this would be a fine property to stay if traveling on budget with a large group.

Most of the front desk workers I interacted with needed another course in customer service. I had to wait over 2 hrs for my room to be ready even though it was passed check in time. And they didn’t even tell me why it wasn’t ready I’m the one that had to go ask after an hr. And they gave me 2 different answers one guy said housekeeping wasn’t done and another guy said the hotel was fully booked. Ice machine and vending machines didn’t warm during my stay. They had holes in the walls in some of the rooms. And the neighborhood has a very Bronks New York feel. But they are located near a lot of public transport.

The shared areas were great i.e. restaurant and bar, main foyer. The rooms need some updating. Our sink didn’t run well, not much in way of coffee or milk in room and air conditioning didn’t seem to adjust so it was hot all night and you can’t open the windows.

this is the worst hotel i stayed ever..rooms are like 100 yrs old..toilet is so small it makes u sick using it..staff attitude is such as if u r staying there for free...no water nothing in rooms..vending machine was not working so i asked front desk how can i get water...the response of staff was like we dont care and we dont know..i said pls give me a bottle from ur back..i will pay cash..bt they jz didnt care or had any interest in helping us..if ever called for any help, they will ask u to come down and get it urself..and they jz dont tell u..they ORDER you..simple the worst place to stay!!!!!

I liked how the staff was very nice and accommodating but I was absolutely not happy with food the breakfast didn’t have much option as well as didn’t taste good I didn’t know what I was to eat specially when I got the waffles so awful and their lunch was kind of bland as well as the bathrooms in the rooms are so weird
