Not bad for 2 star, but very basic. Noise all night from adjacent room wasn't great 1am to 7am. Very thin dividing walls. I also requested a double not X2 single beds.

We used Metro Gambetta as our travel point. There is lots of bar restaurants around and supermarkets if you want anything. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was a bit on the small side but it was sufficient for washing and sleeping.

This is a comfortable hotel. Has everything you need to collapse at the end of a busy day out and about. Close to metro. Quiet neighborhood. Several restaurants nearby and a few little grocers.

The hotel was just what I wanted. Near the Metro station, in a quiet area. Nice room at the back on the ground floor. Breakfast was fine. No frills but all perfectly adequate.

Lovely clean, safe, friendly little hotel with a fantastic breakfast buffet. Our room was small but had everything we needed. I went with a child and the hotel couldn’t have been kinder. Location is near Père Lachaise cemetery and on the 11 metro line to take you to the other sights. We ended up travelling about half an hour across town daily to see more popular areas of Paris. The hotel itself is on a moderately quiet street with cafes and shops handy. Thoroughly recommend if you don’t mind being a little far away from the main tourist areas.

Hotel is 1 star at best but fine for a short stay and provides privacy and your own bathroom in expensive Paris. I agree with ither reviews about the staff - one staff member definitely more friendly and helpful than the other one I talked to at the front desk. Didn't eat there. Close to busses and metro, quiet neighborhood. Wouldn't stay there again as the bathroom door in my room (#305) was rotten and should be replaced as the shower soaks the whole bathroom when used but was fine for the 2 nights i stayed there.

I had a twin room with bath on the second floor. I was happy to have a bath, however there was no bath plug. I asked the receptionist about this and he said this is a problem in Paris and he didn't have one to give me. I managed to find one in a shop for 1.60 euros, so I was able to have a bath. Another niggle: On check in I was asked to pay city tax, which was expected at 1.13 per night. However, they said it was actually 2 euros per night due to an additional service charge. This was not advertised or made clear when booking the room and I feel I have been conned. I was offered no receipt for such 'service charge'. The hotel room walls are very thin and you could hear people talking, flushing the toilet etc. There is also noise from the street. Positives: very near the metro 'porte des lilas' and bus/tram stops. A couple of bars nearby and supermarkets too. I would not stay here again. I have stayed in better hotels and nicer areas for a similar price.

This hotel is in a nice and safe neighborhood, easy to reach from and to the center of Paris. The staff is very friendly. The room is for the rate and Paris standards sized better than expected. The wireless Internet works fine.

This hotel was what we needed. Reasonably priced, clean, and had good service. We stayed in April and had no problems with noise from other rooms, but I downloaded a white noise app in case it was needed.

The only problem is that the neighborhood is noisy at night, so you can't keep the window open.

Ideal if you want a great priced quiet hotel that is within short walking distance of shopping and transport. Friendly, helpful staff on reception. It would have been better to have had more information in the restaurant area for example, that the eggs need to be cooked before opening them...! Apart from that, the breakfast was very good.

Great stay! The first man at reception was a gem (2nd not so much, he couldn't arrange to have some blown light bulbs replaced in our room) but once the first returned he did so promptly. Comfortable bed with extra pillows. Bathroom clean and looks recently renovated. Not too noisy for Paris! Pleasantly surprised by the neighborhood too, we found it nice and vibey with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Been in many inexpensive hotels in Paris and this is one of the best! Would definitely stay again.

I booked this hotel on lastminute.com for one night when other plans fell through. I paid €44 euros for a twin room (I was alone though.) and I felt like it was good value for money. I arrived late, just after 11pm and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small, clean and comfortable with a TV, desk, good sized wardrobe, a little balcony, good shower and pretty reliable Wi-Fi. Lots of bistros in the area and a late night store open until 1am just five minutes away. It's also 5mins walk from the nearest metro which will get you to central Paris is under half an hour. I would have liked a kettle and a couple of coffee sachets in my room but at the price I have no complaints and would definitely stay there again.

Jeg boede på hotellet i tre dage. Alt ville have været OK, hvis ikke værelset den sidste aften - søndag hen ad kl. 22 - blev ramt af en kraftig kemisk lugt, hvis oprindelse var ukendt. Jeg var nødt til at have vinduet åbent natten igennem, selvom værelset befandt sig i stueetagen og det var koldt udenfor. Natportieren var bekendt med problemet, men kunne ikke give en forklaring og foretog sig intet.

La habitación es un poco pequeña y anticuada pero con los imprescindibles: gel, secador y hervidor con café y te además de un ventilador y calefacción que puedes regular desde la propia habitación. Por lo demás, la situación cerca del metro inmejorable, a 30 minutos del centro y con servicios alrededor: restaurantes, supermercado, frutería... Nosotros llegamos de noche y nos pareció un sitio muy solitario pero es porque cerca tiene una piscina, colegios... Edificios que no son de viviendas y por eso parece algo apartado pero por el día te das cuenta que es un lugar muy céntrico. El personal que nos atendió muy amable. Por ubicación y precio, repetiría.

Alles Perfekt, nur eine Kleinigkeit. Wir hatten zwei Einzelzimmer gebucht und haben ein Doppel und ein Einzel bekommen da diese Zimmer nebeneinander lagen. Das Doppel war perfekt, das Einzelzimmer hatte leider eine kleine Macke. Im Bad müssten die Silikonfugen erneuert werden da diese schon Schwarze Punkte aufweisen und die Abfluss Abdeckung erneuert werden. Ansonsten Frühstück Super, Personal einfach Klasse und das Hotel ist sehr gut mit den Öffentlichen zu erreichen.

J'ai été signaler pour le pommeau de douche car je ne pouvais vraiment pas me laver dans ces conditions, la dame de l'acceuil a été choqué et très compréhensive, elle m'a envoyé la personne qui s'occupe du ménage qui elle parcontre, en plus de me tutoyer, a voulu faire passer ça pour du calcaire (c'était noir, je sais faire la différence). Heureusement ils m'ont quand même mis un nouveau pommeau de douche. Mais franchement quand on est déjà épuisé de voyager à droite à gauche pour le travail, même si j'ai apprécié la gentillesse de l'acceuil, c'est tendu de devoir faire le ménage soit même (oui oui je suis allée acheter de quoi désinfecter parce que la crasse ça je peux pas). Compliqué de ne pas être à l'aise quand on est déjà fatiguée... Ce que je n'ai pas apprécié et que me pousse à être honnête ici malgré ma reconnaissance envers l'accueil (car j'aurais pu faire abstraction de cet avis) fût le ton employé par le personnel de ménage.

Insgesamt war es ein gutes Hotel. Einfach gehalten, wir hatten 3 Zimmer gebucht und 2 davon hatten kleinere Mängel. Aber war jetzt nicht schlimm. Frühstück war für 9.50 € gut, typisch französische Frühstück mit croissants etc.
Nachts war es auch sehr ruhig.
Wer nach einem einfachen Hotel Zimmer sucht, ist im Hipotel Lilas Gambetta gut aufgehoben.
Lage war auch gut. Viele Bistros, Supermärkte, Apotheke und Bäckereien in der Nähe. Zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten fuhr man nur ca. 30 min mit der U-Bahn.

Kleines, einfaches, aber sauberes Hotel mit nettem Personal und unerwartet gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für eine Weltstadt - ein paar Restaurants und Einkaufmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Umgebung, ruhige \"Nachbarn\" gegenüber ;-), abends erstaunlich wenig Verkehr auf der Avenue Gambetta. Trotz der Stadtrandlage gut erreichbar, 2 Metrostationen in jeweils ca. 300 m Entfernung - es war perfekt für unsere 5-tägige Papa-Tochter-Paristour, wir kommen sicherlich wieder. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Die Zimmer sind ziemlich hellhörig.
Tipp: Während die Zusatzoption \"stornierbarer Tarif\" den Zimmerpreis nahezu verdoppelt, kostet das Angebot incl. Frühstück nur unbedeutend mehr und beinhaltet die Stornierungsoption. (Auch das Frühstück war einfach aber gut, sogar mit Croissants & Pain au Chocolat :-)
