Parking itself is secure and spacious. But how to get there at the begging is tricky. Especially getting access code from the reception. You are required to park the car somewhere else and physically visit the reception to get the code. Once you know have the code and the route to the parking, it is super easy.

The hotel room was clean with new hardwood floors, but since it was on the first floor facing the street, I could hear people talking and cars passing by right outside. As a light sleeper, this was difficult for me, so I had to sleep with earplugs.

I only used the hotel to sleep and didn’t explore the surrounding area much, but right outside the subway station there were always several men hanging around, which made the area feel a bit uncomfortable. However, the location being so close to the subway station was convenient.

Since it was New Year’s Eve, I paid €197 for one night, but the room was not worth the price.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, including looking after luggage after checkout.The room was very nice, seemed to be recently updated to the new Campanile style, a good improvement on the old style. The room was very clean and the heating worked well during a very cold trip.
The only moan was only having two small milk cartons for two people, so only one drink each?! The paper cups aren't pleasant either.
The area outside was having road works so a bit difficult to drag cases, but that's not the fault of the hitel.

Room was a nice size and clean. I liked that it had a desk and chair. Metro station right outside, very easy to get into the city for the main attractions of Paris. The area surrounding the hotel is a little run down. But I never felt unsafe or anything like that. Overall pleased.

Noisy neighbourhood with not much to see, but the main sights and sites of Paris are just a Metro ride away.

Parking excellent but need codes to enter which we were not sent. The room had a Nespresso machine but no kettle. There were two tea bags and two sachets of coffee and two small milk cartons but no pods for the machine, so no refreshments in the room we could use.
Apart from that the bed was comfy bathroom clean and well appointed and plenty of hanging space. We will definitely book again as the staff

Hotel Campanile exceeded my expectations. Beds are comfortable, kettle in the room is a bonus, location is perfect with easy access to transport. Hoche metro literally across the road. The area is safe with a variety of local shops selling produce Frome around the world. The staff go beyond above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Marlene and Gisele were A mazing.
I highly recommend hotel Campanile.

People hanging around outside the hotel - intimidating and antisocial behavior from late afternoon into the early hours of the morning. Drunks shouting into the night and sick and urine all around the hotel outside.

The room looked tired and needs refreshing but would have been ok if not for the dismal carpet. The carpet had steins of what looked like droplets of coffee and blood as well as lots of unknown indistinguishable marks.

The hotel car park did not directly lead into the hotel and everytime you left the hotel to go into the car park (literally the next door outside the building) strangers were lurking and watching intently. It was intimidating. There were gangs on street corners and it did not feel safe to walk around or even drive.

Used dirty coffee cups, bad customer service, no towels in my room and they tried to blame it on me, guy said if you have the do not disturb sign they won’t do your room, but I didn’t have the sign plus why would they take the only towels in my room if they were not going to replace them with clean ones?
Very noisy, and can hear people in other rooms.

Location, near a bus stop and Metro but kinda far from the tourist attractions. Too many guys just hanging around the area, kinda scary.
Room was almost good except that the carpet was dirty. The shower and toilet in one, no division betuthe two, so when you’re showering and you’re not careful the whole area would be wet, including your dry clothes. The shower drain doesn’t drain fast enough that the water goes to the whole floor.
Breakfast was good.
There’s a kettle, no fridge, no microwave.
They only have paper cups, so bring your own.

I stay here for two reasons only. Vicinity of the metro and vicinity of the grocery markets. The staff were fine like most hotels. Maid service (room cleaning) also very good.
However, the mattresses were very old and very bad for the back. Probably the worst mattresses I have ever slept on. Bathroom was fine but the living quarters were cramped but I can deal with that with very little effort.

The weekend staff is totally different from the week one, they are not very accommodating, we waited standing up after 16 hours drive for our room to be ready as the waiting room was full, once we got our room the heater wasn’t working but we thought it would be on at certain times , unfortunately we were so tired we fell asleep in a frozen room , it was very uncomfortable.
It’s not something that happens a lot, we love staying in this hotel and normally there’s no issues at all, it looked very busy when we arrived at 1.15 pm.
Despite the negative we’ll stay again.

Hotel staff was responsive and friendly. Hotel condition was another matter. Air conditioning in room was pretty much useless and could not cool the room, necessitating keeping the window open, but even that couldn’t help. Carpet is stained and appears extremely worn, and appears filthy, not sure if it was clean or not due to the POOR condition. Neighborhood is convenient to the Metro and there is a grocery store and McDonalds nearby, however, there are also Many homeless roaming the area within 100m, with all the problems associated… urine, trash, begging. Reiterate, staff was great, location relative to the metro great, hotel condition poor, local wildlife questionable…

We felt unsafe and had to leave the hotel earlier than expected because of the riots that threatened the physical safety of all the guests. Hotel staff was nowhere to be found while rioters where smashing windows and burning a bus right in front of the main entrance. Fire alarms were left on while smoke filled the halls and yet no police was to be seen anywhere and staff just wanted us to stay inside. Aside from that, AC didn’t work and hotel staff refused to make any kinds of compensations in regards to the nightmarish night we experienced there

Staff are very friendly, rooms are cleaned everyday, the bedroom itself was good enough for the price, there was AC and heating which was great. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and has a large grocery shop right next to it which was very convenient. It was also a 1 minute walk from the metro station and relatively close to tram links.

Pros:
1. Clean room and daily change of bins and towels
2. Comfy bed
3. Bathtub instead of shower
4. Metro outside hotel with direct access to Gare du nord.
5. Plenty of places to eat

Cons:
1. Pillows were too soft
2. Carpet could do with change
3. Area is quite rough but no problem for us
4. Constantly barking dog (not hotels fault but is annoying at night)

Overall a pleasant no frills stay. Would consider this hotel on our next paris visit

Huge queue at reception when we arrived & only one staff on to deal with everyone .
Room is clean but very basic - our TV & phone didn't work, the wifi did but very slow..
No hot water in the shower or sink on night 1 - after asking reception 2/3 times to check it out, they finally admitted there was a hotel wide issue - it was resolved the next day.
Very close to Metro station for easy access into greater Paris & 20-30 mins from CDG airport depending on traffic.
Hotel amenities are basic, the common area unappealing and the breakfast buffet is basic.
Hotel is located in a very run down area + local bars/restaurants all seem to close at 9pm

Hoche Metro is literally at the doorstep and that was the main reason I picked this hotel. 9 minutes trip from Gar du nord, easy to get anywhere in the city. Also plenty of food outlets and supermarkets very close.

Check in was a breeze, staff very nice. Room was compact but it had everything I needed. Linen was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was a good size. Shower was excellent, water was hot and excellent water pressure. My one complaint was the toilet, which was hopeless. That could have been related to where the room was, hard to say.

Room was quiet and secure. I’d happily stay here again on my next trip to Paris, it’s excellent value for money.

Very Good and Economical Hotel

I was entirely happy with my stay at the hotel.

The room was of adequate size, clean and quiet; all equipment worked. In particular the shower was of a good standard and beautifully clean and the room temperature was fully under my control.

The location, though not prepossessing, was very practical.

Breakfast was of a good standard and only paid for when taken.

The staff were all that you could wish for.

I have a new base for future Paris visits.

I'll start off by saying the location is not in the best area, however both my sister and I still felt safe enough to walk to near by laundry mats and restaurants/cafes during daylight. I wouldn't feel comfortable walking alone at night though. That being said, to get to Paris city centre wasn't too bad, about 25mins by metro, and using the metro was easy! The station is not even a two minute walk outside the hotel, so that was truly LOVELY!
The beds were a lot more comfortable than I thought they'd be, given that this was more of a budget hotel option. My favourite part of our stay here though, was definitely the shower!!! It had TWO spray heads (one a rainfall shower head) and was absolutely devine! Best shower I've taken in a hotel EVER! Great water pressure with nice hot water. So glorious after a full day of walking around Paris. I would stay here again, and would recommend this hotel to budget conscious travellers wanting a good place to call home base as they spend their hard earned money exploring the city of Paris. After all, isn't that why you're in Paris? To see Paris, to eat their wonderfully cooked meals, taste little snacks along your way from food booths you can't find on tripadvisor and to explore thee death rooted history and culture?! Save some coin, enjoy the beds and showers here, and most of all enjoy what the city has to offer!

Sink leaked really badly the whole stay, we informed the front desk twice about the issue and they did not fix. The air conditioner also did not work and we also informed the desk of this. There was a smell in our room. They took our shower and hand towels and did not replace them. No fridge. Very uncomfortable stay in a run down and sketchy area.

An Ideal Location for Getting Around Paris

The hotel is based in Pantin which is a quiet area that isn't near the centre or Paris's famous sights, but just 100 yards from a metro station.

The Hoche station opposite the hotel is in zone 2, which gives easy and fairly rapid access to all visitor attractions and connects to most main lines.The efficient underground network means it's very easy to get around.

The hotel itself is clean, relatively quiet, friendly and reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and bilingual. Ideal for a city break on a budget!

There are 2 things that would make this hotel better in my opinion. Firstly Paris is an international city and it would be nice if there was a English speaking tv channel even it was just a news channel and secondly the breakfast is grossly overpriced for what is provided.

I stayed there for 4 days and the hotel was okay. Nothing fancy, small rooms, clean bathroom, good WiFi, very close to the train, less than a block. The neighborhood was a little bit scary. Carpet on the floor of the room were dirty. The reception was nice and provide me with the information that I need but was very basic.

We had really good time in this hotel. The staffs are really nice and friendly. The room cleanness also perfect. We had coffee and tea with tea maker in the room. The neighbourhood also really good, you can get anything in one minute walking distance including metro station. It takes only around 15 or 20 min to the centre by metro. Overall it's perfect except the size of the room and bath tub which are a bit small but it's ok; and one more thing, we couldn't watch movies from our usb stick on the tv. Besides these, it is really good place for long or short stays.
