Very convenient location just a short walk from the subway. It is slightly out of the heart of Paris so doesn’t feel as “touristy” which was nice (hypocritical coming from a tourist!).

Room with private bathroom. Small but clean and serviced.

Typical European breakfast of cold meats, cheeses and breads with tea/coffee/juice provided in the morning was lovely.

The staff were super friendly despite me not knowing much French throughout the stay. I called to let them know I would be arriving a bit after the latest check in time (due to mishaps figuring out how to get from the airport to the accom) and they were very accomodating. They helped us carry our luggage upstairs despite how late it was.

Definitely would book again if I return. Thanks for the stay! :)

The hotel is very central. Although it is a fair distance to the Eiffel Tower we were able to walk there and visited other historical sites like Notre Dame Cathedral and the Arc de Triomphe along the way.

The service provided at the breakfast buffet was pretty good, but the rest of the stay was below average. They do not have bag check which effected our plans for the day. The back door was more appropriate for the hotel but the address showed the front door which led to an awkward walk through the restaurant to check in.

Hotel double charged me

The worst part of the stay was the fact the hotel double charged me. I pre-paid through Hotels.com, but the hotel did not acknowledge that but instead charged me again during my check out. I told the hotel attendant that it was already paid, but he said hotels.com did not pay them. I did not have a number to call for hotels.com at the time, so I had to pay otherwise he would not let me go. When I got in touch with hotels.com later, they contacted the property but could not get a refund. This is terrible.

Adequate but very tiny room - had a suitcase thing to use but absolutely no space to put it! Very basic with no extras. Breakfast cheap - bread, croissants, ham, cheese or jam. A fruit salad too but it was awful! Nice coffee. So a mix really - wouldn’t return but it was sufficient, just not enjoyable.

I always stay here when I come to Paris. I always feel like I'm family and I'm welcome. It's right by the Saint Mande stop on the Yellow line, which may still be a few stops from the city center, but I don't mind. I prefer being away from the noise and hustle and bustle of the city. They have their own restaurant and bar, which gets busy and certainly says a lot about the place. Midweek there's a very charming flea market that gets set up right outside, which is definitely a treat.

The staff at the property were so friendly and helpful. Its located perfectly if you dont want to be in the thick of it, but easy to get back into the centre of Paris.
It could do with redecorating and deep cleaning ie; cleaning dust around the air vents, removing what looked like a little blood on the curtain and refreshing the carpets. But overall you get what you pay for, its cheap and convenient.
I will stress again how lovely and friendly the staff were.

Location was outside Paris but very accessible by metro and bus to all Paris attractions, the staff were wonderful, the room was very very small and only one outlet, so it was tuff getting all our electronics charged, we used the outlet to charge the laptop and used the laptop USB’s to charge our phones, there is no air conditioning so we had to leave the window open to sleep which was very noisy and there is no elevator, the WiFi was not working inside the room so we had to stay outside the room to get WiFi. The breakfast had very little choices no eggs it was continental style. Rooms were old but clean.

Clean, great air conditioning, but a little small

We stayed for 3 nights as we wanted something away from the city centre and not far from the Accor Hotel Arena where we had tickets for a show. The location was great with a metro station about 50 yards away, supermarket close by and plenty of local restaurants. The room was on the second floor and was a little small with very little space to walk around the double bed. Bathroom was clean and the shower was great. It was 35^C when we arrived so were thankful of the air conditioning. Small issue for those that like a cuppa, there's no kettle in the room! Would highly recommend the Bourgat bar next door for food. The waiter was fantastic and the food was great, if a little expensive. We didn't eat in the hotel so not sure about the restaurant, but they had live music at least once during our stay. Great market outside the hotel on Thursday (and also Sunday I believe but can't confirm) selling plenty of fresh fruit, veg, fish as well as some good hot food. Overall, the hotel was good for our needs, but some may find it a little cramped.

The Hotel was nice and the air conditioning was great! However, you had to slam the bathroom door in order for it to close and the water temp would fluctuate between hot and cold constantly. The breakfast was not worth the 9€ per day; you could walk down the street to the grocery store and purchase fruits, juices, fresh bread, and everything else you want for breakfast for a better price. The staff was very nice though.

We were told that St. Mandé was a prosperous provincial island in eastern Paris, and its major hotel was exactly that. They went the extra mile by keeping our two large suitcases for a week while we were away. The restaurant offers excellent quality. If you enjoy the slower pace of provincial France with line 1 of the Paris Metro 20 yards away, this place is a gem!

Really nice hotel for the price

We really enjoyed our stay. We spent just one night in a quad (my husband and two girls). Room was comfortable and spacious. It was also clean! The beds were comfy and the tv worked. Bathroom was big and functional. The woman at the desk was super nice and ordered us a taxi for the airport. There was loud music played in the restaurant at night. We asked them to turn it down and they did! All quiet afterwards and we slept well.

We had a great meal at the nearby Le Royal Comptoir! It's a neighborhood bistrot. Market on Sunday morning is great.
In short, great experience and we would stay there again.

It ws unforgetful and pleasureable experience for us. we stayed there fr 4 nights. We were treated very well by the manager as well as hotel staffs. they showed to us the true french hospitality. the hotel is quite strategic as its is located less than two minutes from the saint monde subway. the surrounding is also quite but condusive. Convenient, friendly and inexpensive

The Hotel is 50 yards from the De Gaulle exit of St Mande Metro which is 2 stops from the Eastern end of the Yellow Line 1 Metro which connects to Chatelet Les Halles. A Metro ticket to Paris is just Eu1.80 so it's very convenient.
Tip: In Paris top up at the water fountain at Hotel de Ville!
If you come from Disneyland Eurostar or TGV at Marne la Vallee station, the RER train takes you to Nation station. Change there to Metro 1. Two stops back & you're here (Eu7.80).
If you come by road the hotel is just off the Peripherique. Parking outside: Eu5.20 for 4 hours.
You'll see a boulangerie nearby and a small supermarket (Franprix) along the road, past the Metro exits, where you can buy stuff for your sandwiches. You don't want to buy too many meals out. The hotel's restaurant is however good value & busy. We had the Eu22 3-course menu and were well pleased.
The restaurant shuts at the weekend, but the Chinese on the same block is good value (and a beer there is just Eu2.5). We also saw a creperie along the main road opposite Franprix.
Make sure you book thro a site like Expedia because the normal hotel tariff is higher. Breakfast is Eu8 extra. You won't find a kettle in your room, and we did not ask for one. Shower was good & powerful with everything clean & tidy. You can ask for a UK power adaptor if you forgot to buy one to charge your mobile.
On Friday & Sunday there is a market right outside the hotel for all your fruit and salads & even hot snacks.
Book and enjoy!

Nice location, right outside of the Saint Mande metro station. Very accessible by train or bus. Beds were comfortable, shower a little tight. Hotel did not have A/C which made our time in Paris almost unbearable in July. Nice restaurant downstairs, over-priced soda at hotel bar. Charged 5 Euros for 1 bottle of soda.

This hotel was great!
The employees were all nice and helpful, even funny, some were always joking around.
The hotel location is great, the area is nice, many shops and restaurants open during the day, the hotel is steps away from the Saint Mande metro station.
The room is VERY small, but is clean, with your own bathroom, good shower, TV cable, I do not care about the room being small because I was there only to sleep and shower.
The hotel is perfect, I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it always.

Too bad they don't warn you that their restaurant is closed all weekends during the month of August. However, I stayed Monday night so I got to taste their food. Very good and I recommend their restaurant. Real gourmet food.

This hotel was perfect for our stay. Not quite in the centre of Paris which kept costs down, but steps from the metro and a few great bakeries and grocery stores. There was also an outdoor market that set up right outside the hotel each morning with produce and great odds and ends. The hotel staff were great and we had a wonderful experience.

I have stayed there for three nights with my husband, this Easter. The room was very clean, the service very good. People were very polite and there was always someone speaking English. The Metro station is 10 metres away, so you can get to the Louvre in 10 minutes.
On Sunday there was a traditional market in front of the hotel. Plus the restaurant serves really good food.
We will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends.

Had booked this hotel because I thought it was close to Gare de Lyon. It wasn't! It is actually in suburban Paris, but very near to park, and metro station - just outside its door. We arrived very late, and had efficient welcome- slightly odd walking through restaurant to book in for the night. Staff efficient, room small but very adequate, with clean en-suite. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, and staff very happy to let us leave our bags for collection later

The hotel concierge/manager was very kind, helpful, and spoke several languages. The personnel were friendly and nice. The hotel is located at 50 meters form the Metro line number 1 which is the one that goes to Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame, Louvre Museum, Champs-Elysees, Arch of Triumph, etc… The hotel is clean and you get what you paid for. Bring your own toiletries since they provide hand soap and shampoo only. They also provide a hair dryer. Obviously, it is not a 3, 4, or 5 star hotel. The neighborhood is nice and safe; there is public parking for the car at the best rate anyone can find in Paris, EUR 21 for 3 days! The food at the restaurant is one of the best kept secret. It seems to be that the Chef at the Ruisseau is known in town for its French traditional cuisine and we took advantage of it! That was the cherry on the cake…

a typically french inn. we booked 6 rooms and were all very satisfied with our stay. the rooms are rather small but that is to be expected in paris. rooms were clean and staff friendly and very helpful. we especially loved stepping out of the hotel on sunday morning to find a market at the door! what a great surprise. you have not experienced paris unless you go to the market to purchase, fruits and vegies, flowers, meats cheeses and pastries as well as clothing and accessories. what a treat. would surely go back.

Stayed here for a Fleetwood Mac Concert in Bercy. A Superb Weekend in Paris. This Hotel was exactly what we required. If you don't want to pay for 'Silly Over Priced Modern Hotels' in central Paris ? Then stay here ! Cheap & CheerFul With Friendly Staff, Quiet Cosy Restaurant, Fun little Bar. A busy Market opposite @ weekends, plus plenty of quirky little places nearby, to drink eat & shop. Le Ruisseau gets a Good Thumbs Up ! & A Happy Service Rating + a Return visit from ME ! Soon I hope.

No rude French here

Most people talk about how rude the French are to Americans but we did not find that to be the case. The front desk was very helpful and welcoming. The room was not large but suitable for our needs and clean. The location is not right in the middle of Paris but we liked being out of the hustle and bustle a bit. The metro station is practically outside your door and not hard to use. Paris is small enough that you really don't need to use the metro so much that the day pass is worth it. There is a large park near enough to walk or a few stops down the metro. It might not be the place for you if you have small kids or like to shop a lot as it is farther from the middle of Paris. It was a good price for our needs and we were very happy with these accomidations.

This was a very quaint hotel. Not a commercialized touristy hotel in an excellent area. Close to the metro line Excellent shops in the area. What a treat to step outside on Sunday morning to the local farmers market with all the delicacies you can imagine. The hotel staff was all extremely helpful. We are looking forward to returning to the same hotel!!! I highly recomment this hotel for the beautiful Parisian flavor. We happened to arrive on the summer soltice, Paris knows how to celebrate, and this hotel put on a great show for the patrons with a live New Orleans type jazz band. Low-key, affordable, convenient experience.

The hotel staff was really kind, the WIFI was also pretty consistent.
It was really convenient -- being next to a metro stop -- and not as touristy.
It was a really pleasant surprise to wake up on Sunday morning to see the local farmer's market just outside the hotel. It had awesome fresh produce, flowers, bread, etc. It was great to get some fruit as we've been eating fairly heavy or baguettes. The only small problem was there was a bit of mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. But other than that, really liked the low-key, less touristy, and affordable experience!

J’ai été très bien accueilli et surtout rapidement. La chambre est simple mais très correcte. Bon rapport qualité prix petit-déj’ à 9 euros. L’hôtel dispose d’un restaurant avec une belle carte.
Le petit point à améliorer, à mon avis, serait d’installation d’une clim malgré le gros ventilateur à disposition.
Sinon, excellente impression générale pour une centaine d’euros, compte tenu de l’emplacement. Merci à toute l’équipe.

Sejour pour un besoin purement pratique, devant nous rendre porte de Vincennes : c'est tout près.
Les hotes sont agréables et serviables, mais la chambre etait vraiment petite.

Chambre petite mais normal pour le secteur ! Un peu special de devoir entrer dans un restaurant pour aller a la chambre devant les.clients ! Pour emplacement c'est parfait car un acces facile à tout !

Emplacement idéal à 2 pas du métro et du bus. Bois de Vincennes et Paris accessibles avec facilité.
Chambre et SDB petites mais confortable calme pour l'une et propre pour l'autre.
Personnel super gentil .
Super week-end en amoureux !

Le séjour fut très correct .

Cependant : pouvez-vous m'expliquer pourquoi j'ai dû payer ,avant mon départ de l'hôtel ,la somme de 14€ représentant la taxe de séjour alors que ma facturation ,et donc mon règlement par carte bancaire ,faisait bien apparaitre : \"taxes et frais \" 111€48

Très bien accueilli, personnel agréable et à l’écoute, literie très confortable ainsi qu’une restauration goûteuse..
