The hotel is not the closest to the Paris tourist hotspots but that shouldn't detract from this lovely hotel. Metro access is very close by. Tram and bus stops are also close by. Providing access to all the sightseeing places you ask for! The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Our accommodation was very clean and comfortable - cleaned and tidied whilst we were out on a daily basis. We weren't bothered by any significant noise even with it's city location. Choices for local eating was also good and there were local grocery stores for supplies and snacks.

Worst noise I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Walls are paper thin and the street noise goes on all night including screams. Can’t believe the reviews say how great it is. It’s cute and clean and that’s it. Cold check in from reception, although the lady who took over the shift was very kind and personable.

Great place for bicycles

We are traveling by bicycle and the hotel was able to provide storage for our bicycle boxes until we return in 7 weeks! After breakfast is served you may be able to assemble your bicycle in the breakfast room. There is a very small area behind the hotel to store assembled bikes. We stored ours in our room.

i didn’t mind hearing the metro…
but the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything with the guests next door to you and even those passing in the hall.
it’s like you don’t even have privacy.

one day we were getting ready for bed, talking at a normal volume and then our neighbors started knocking on our wall telling us to be quiet. it was really disturbing because we weren’t drunk or loud, it was a regular toned conversation talking about our day. so after that the next 4 days felt like we couldn’t relax in our rooms and whispered at night.

Getting to the hotel from the train station and airport was very easy . The room was very spacious . David checked us in and was very kind and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay . The hotel itself had a very homey feeling and such cute decor for Christmas time. You can find lift to take your luggage up to your room which is a plus. The hotel also has complementary fruit in the lobby which was great.

Nice little hotel, the triple room was a good size and comfortable beds. Metro station across the road and a nice boulangerie and a couple of bistros close by (Au Bois was really good - very friendly and nice atmosphere). Rumbling from the metro going underneath causes the occasional bit of noise through the hotel so if you’re a very light sleeper it may keep you up. But overall a good little hotel.

Lovely stay, loud neighbors

The hotel was in a great location for us, it was older but still very nice with so much character - which we loved. The room was clean, spacious enough for two, and had a nice updated bathroom as well. Unfortunately we had bad luck with some inconsiderate people next door as there was a lot of noise. So, if you are a light sleeper I would advise that the walls are very thin and you can feel/hear the subway rumbles as well.

To navigate the city, guests are left with the options of either using Uber or the subway. This was a very quaint and charming hotel. The staff was friendly. The bathrobes and slippers they provided were adorable. The neighborhood had many dining options, and it was what I expected when I think of a cute “Parisian” neighborhood. The only gripe was the shower. The water would randomly become cold. I would advise against the breakfast.

This was a quaint little hotel with a decent location right next to a train station. The hotel was roomy and the bed was comfortable. There was an odor in my room that would hit me when I walked in, but I got used to it pretty quickly and didn't notice while I was in my room. It may have just been that the building and room were old. The hotel is definitely not in the middle of Paris and all of the sites, but, as I said, with a train station just outside the front door it was very convenient. I walked to the Lavarie one day to wash my clothes and I walked to restaurants for dinner in the area twice and they were all convenient. There's also a lovely park nearby to walk through. I would stay in this hotel again.

LOVE this hotel. It is our go-to place in Paris when visiting friends near the bois des Vincennes. Exceptional staff and comfortable, quiet rooms which is rare in Paris. The breakfast team is so friendly and cheerful in the mornings and make a wonderful cup of coffee. Near the metro and across the street from a Monday morning market. Highly recommended.

The Hotel Port Doree is characterful, neat, scrupulously clean and staffed with friendly and helpful personnel. Our room was nicely equipped for a short stay with a lovely comfortable bed, crisp linen, tea/coffee making facilities, free WiFi, TV, iron and ironing board, fresh fluffy towels, shower gel and shampoo and body lotion and a lovely modern bathroom. Located next to the Bois de Vincennes with lovely restaurants and bakeries on its doorstep this is a hotel I will definitely return to. The metro, bus and tram links ensured I was easily able to visit everything I wanted to during my stay.

Really beautiful hotel steps from the Metro entrance, lovely reception staff who were happy to look after luggage in the reception way before the 2pm check in time.

Lovely decor throughout and really pretty rooms, I stayed on the top floor which was a long climb of steps but nothing too bad.

It was a beautiful hotel very quaint everything I didn't expect and more..
Reception was welcoming & accomdating, clean bathrooms and floors , heating towel rack was superb & crisp bedsheets with a freshly washed scent .

Just wished it was mentioned that their would be some type of construction going on in the early morning.

This hotel is outside the tourist areas of the city, so when you stay there you see more of a Parisian neighborhood. It is near an excellent zoo and park, whick also contains a museum of immigration. You can also walk from there to the Viaduc Des Arts, a relatively new attraction. The staff is friendly and English speaking ( the owners are an American/French couple). The breakfast is very adequate, including organic options. The hotel is managed with attention to the environment. Our room was small, but it contained everything we needed at an affordable price. It was clean and the large queen bed was very comfortable. We have stayed there several times, and will happily return.

The air conditioning only worked 1 day the last day Saturday so from Monday to Friday we had NO AIR CONDITIONING. I have MS multiple sclerosis and this was terrible for me. The staff were kind but it was Not fixed until Saturday 6am. Then was roof repair going on every morning! Frim 6am to 11am. The owner I contacted she apologized but it was never resolved. This hotel cost 250 Euros per night and a Waste of my money it was me and my husband's Anniversary trip and I will never return to that hotel again nor will I ever use Expedia.

Good value- however i had to leave one night before my actual booking although all was paid in full. i didnt ask for any refund or anything, so i told the guy at the receiption that you have an empty room paid for that you can even book again and benefit your business. he said OK but you have the pay me 1.65 euro as city tax before you depart!!!!!!!!!!! I thought nothing could ruin my Paris trip :(

Room size 3x2m minus toilet and shower. I am not massive person and had troubles to fit in the shower. Under the hotel runs tube line so no sleep for 2 nights. Everything just vibrates, sound similar to rocket launching. No tiny fridge in the room but I understand no space for it :)

Wonderful location, safe/family-friendly neighborhood with excellent food near by. Very close to public transportation (Metro, Tramway, Bus); 20 min to the centre of Paris by subway! Staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is simply amazing (fresh organic cheeses, fruit & yogurt, breads from the boulangerie across the street, coffee, etc).

Overall, the stay was great. Staff was pretty helpful and nice. The hotel itself is quite pretty with a great mix of quaint charm and modern efficiency. Only thing to know is that the train rumbles underneath quite loudly each time it passes and everyone in the building is for sure to hear and feel it. The hotel provides free ear plugs, which is nice. I personally don’t mind the rumble and didn’t need to use the ear plugs (not that they would’ve helped if that kind of thing bothered me). But if that is not to your liking, just beware.

I believe it’s fair to mention that the Metro is super close so you will hear the train from time to time. But you are in the city so you should be prepared for city sounds. If you’re a city dweller those sounds won’t be foreign to you.

The Staff is incredible! So attentive, nice and very knowledgeable about their city. Don’t speak French, no problem. The staff do speak English but please make an attempt to speak French. That’s just courteous. The boutique hotel rooms are super comfy and that bed is like sleeping on a cloud. It’s surrounded by great food and close to attractions. Their $12 euro breakfast is delicious and sets you up
for the day. When I return to Paris I will definitely be staying at this amazing hotel.

There's a really great park two minutes walk from the hotel and also loads of supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

When we pulled up outside the hotel, we knew we'd made the right choice. Staff were welcoming, and the room was quaint, clean and quiet. 1 min from nearest metro and McDonalds! (No, we didn't eat there).

We didn't stay for breakfast. Walked in to Restaurant and walked out again. Quite small and everyone stopped talking! What I did see was a great selection of pastries and bread and lovely smell of coffee.

Hotel was about 20 mins walk from Bastille, but once you master the Metro its so easy to get around Paris.

Had a lovely 4 night stay here in a downstairs room with a fabulous little private courtyard and a really comfortable very large bed . Staff were very friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay here again .

The hotel was beautiful in its infrastructure and decor. Had a very traditional and original building feel and look to it. The staff spoke English fluently and very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Not to mention the hotel is located around plenty of food options and the Metro. The rooms were amazing from the welcome letter on the bed, bath robes waiting for you, and of course in the summer very cool AC. I also enjoyed how you could fully open the windows and stick your head out. All in all an amazing stay which felt like you were in the heart of Paris.

Nice little hotel. Metro just \noutside.

Small rooms but very cosy. Nice, staff was extremely helpful. Staff spoke English which was very help full
