The location of this hotel was good, easy to find the metro, restaurants and supermarkets. The room itself was reasonable and bed comfortable enough, size was good but decor needed a refresh.

Our only issue was the replacement of facilities when our room was being made up, for example not enough tea bags or none at all, not replacing soap when finished, needing to ask for toilet roll as not replaced or very low. As my family and I was out for the day, it meant having to chase or ask for replacements. Based on how much the hotel cost for the 5 nights, I think it was just average. Hopefully these comments may help the hotel to make improvements going forward.

It was much nicer than we expected for a cheap hotel stop over night. We arrived quite late and were a bit worried about the check in , but we were greeted by a lovely friendly receptionist , and the lobby area had a bar and looked really nice. The breakfast was very worth it as well. Delicious, and lots of choices.

The hotel is located in a good area of Paris. The hotel public areas are very nice and the reception staff very helpful. Our room was of a good size and the bathroom in particular very well appointed and appeared new. What really let the hotel down for us was the lack of air conditioning in our room where only a large fan was provided. A vent which was supposed to provide cool air provided nothing at all, but we did notice the hallways, reception and lounge areas were much cooler. We complained to reception about the excessive heat in our room and were promised an investigation but nothing happened. We consider this lack of a comfortable temperature in a guest room to be unacceptable in a 4 star hotel.

The place is good. But there was mis-communication.
During arrival i was told that Breakfast is included in the charges. But 1 day later i discovered it was not so and i had pay 19 Euros for breakfast.
The sink was blocked on the 2nd and 3rd day. The issue was reported but no one rectified.
Room service is quite poor. We had to come down to collect additional water bottles.
Additional water bottles was requested at extra cost. But they probably did not understand and did not supply water the next day.

The rooms were clean and neat. We were there 4 nights and we had great cleaning every day. The reception and bar staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The wait staff in the dining room, not as much. This is a nice hotel I’m a good area close to many restaurants, shops and public transport. However, it definitely could use refurbishing.

It was really my worst experience in hotels. It was really dirty and it was not 4* service and hotel at all.
They changed the doors lock when we stayed there. In 2 days in our floor we were hearing very noisy tools and people was working too noisy. They opened all doors when we were outside hotels. Just think, it was not house keeping. Workers was in our room when we were outside. We wake up with drill voice in the morning. That's funny. All plate was dirty and I am sure they are not washing the dishes.
During breakfast I saw kids dropped a bread and got it and again put in the dishes and nobody react. It was owful for novotel

The hotel had charged me after checkout without letting the Guest know the reason for it. They didnt even share the invoice for the charges until i personally inquired about the transaction. I have prove them that it is their mistake and then they refunded the charges. For this i had made international call and spend few pounds to prove their mistake and lost few pounds too. I am disappointment by their communication. They should have cleared all the bills before the Guest checkout

People were friendly.Their billing system had an issue - first didn't recognize that we had reserved the room for 2 nights (they had a record of 1 night) and then thought that we had had breakfast (which we didn't) and thought we needed to be reimbursed for charges we did pay for. They were helpful at finding a crib however I had pre-requested one and when we arrived it was the middle of the night so it would of been really nice to lay the baby down right away instead of having to chase all over for a crib.

Not really the Novotel for business I have known.

Located right next to Liberté metro. So not a bad place to connect to Paris but there is nothing much around to do. Restaurant in hotel has some interesting food choices but It has mosquitos in evening and they hound on you. Hotel staff didnt do much. Rooms do not have temperature control but only air vent temperature control as its central AC. So on a warm night the tiny vent doesn’t do good.

One of the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.we were 2 adults and 3 kids.I was charged for 2 rooms because they said there policy doesn’t allowed more than 4 persons in a room put when we arrived there we got only one room and they refused to credit me the money for the second room. I will never go or advice you to stay in this hotel.

It is located near the metro and in a safe area. The staff was helpful and friendly.
The room was clean , but there was no cooling machine functional in the room and the backboard of the bed was missing the top part plus at the bottom there were a lot of electrical wires visible and perhaps even dangerous when touched.

Hotel rooms have good size, breakfast is ok (18 euro), room service is good. Friendly staff. The only thing is that rooms do not have AC!! They have some kind of cooling but is not enough. Paris was very hot (40 to 42 Celsius) when we were there so I asked for a fan and it was helpful.

Overall we had a wonderful stay. The staff went above and beyond and was definitely the highlight of the property. The location is great (right above a supermarket and walking distance to the subway). Rooms are on the smaller side but have everything you would need. Hotel was kid friendly. The restaurant was good and decently priced. We would definitively stay there again!

Check in time starts 12 noon and reached there at around 1 pm but room was not ready. Me and my family were made to wait for 45 mins. When room was ready no one came over and told us. When I asked after 45 mins then they said it is ready. Ridiculous. A/c was not working in my room. When I complained, they just provided a fan.

The location was okay.

Hotel has central AC so you’re not allowed to adjust. The room was so hot and after repeated request for a fan - they finally gave me a broken one - I was told it was the only one they had.

The room was small, paints were peeling, and part of the washroom and shower were rusty. We asked for a bucket of ice and was given a small glass of ice. I paid good money to stay at this brand franchise but didn’t realize not all locations have equal quality.

1. Make sure you call the hotel and confirm the booking although expedia email and the customer care says the Booking is confirmed. In my case as soon as enter the hotel the receptionist said, sorry we couldn't find your itinerary and all the rooms are fully booked. We were stunned, finally had to go for a smaller room other than what we booked.
Breakfast buffet doesn't have good choice.
1. You need to crack your own egg and place it on the hot plate and monitor to not to be nicked by anyone else
2. you need to put your own bread in the toaster which is on the otherside of eggs, you need to monitor the toaster as well to save your bread not to be taken by anyone else
3. Parking is 20 euros per day below the hotel.

I would really not recommend this Hotel to anyone since the Staff is not at all friendly and they don't care to respond.

I have checked in to the hotel on 15th April 2019 and it is Sunday, I faced some issues with the room and called the front desk for room service and they told no one is there, i am really suppressed that the four start hotel don't do room service on Sunday. The hotel is not well maintained.

We chose this hotel to visit Bois de Vincennes (large park with walking trails, playgrounds, Zoo, botanical gardens and more) and the hotel is a few minutes walk away from the park edge. We were also pleased to find that the hotel is part of a commercial center with supermarkets and restaurants. The room itself was comfortable.

No ability to adjust the AC or fan in the room, affected sleep on the warmer nights. Some noise came through the walls, and lots through an open window. Breakfast was okay but expensive.

We’re booked for 7 days. But we’re only able to stay 4 days since the room does not have AC. And the staff confirmed that the hotel never had AC since it was built. With the temperature of 28C out side, we’re cooked in the room without air conditioning. On Expedia website it was advertised that “it has AC”. I hope Expedia corrects this mistake ASAP.

We stayed for two nights at Novotel Charenton. No problems whatsoever, my husband (and the rest of us!) loved the breakfast as always. The most delicious Madeleines were served! Very relaxing and clean environment. Very polite and helpful staff. Hotel is ideal for metro liberté, which is literally 50 metres from hotel. Goes straight to opera area of Paris. line 8. Car parking is also very easy as parking Valmy liberté is right next to hotel. We did reserve our space via Parkingdeparis.com which is 50% cheaper than paying at hotel. There is a medium size shopping centre right next to Hotel but sadly we did not have time to visit...area looks safe from what we saw of it. I would definitely go back! Hotel must be very nice in summer with their outdoor terraces / spaces. Thank you to everyone at this hotel for a very pleasant stay!

I was there for a conference. The conference facilities in the hotel were excellent and the food was all very good. The room was OK. Fans didn't work in the toilet and bathroom. Sofa bed was lumpy and not very comfortable.

Perfect hotel for a quiet city break.

This was a two night stay for our 30 year wedding anniversary and the staff made us feel welcome the whole time we were there. They were all very polite and friendly. The champagne on arrival was a nice touch so many thanks to the management. The hotel was quiet, comfortable and clean. We have stayed in Paris many times before and all the hotels have been disappointing. This one however was first class and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet hotel out of the city centre but easy enough to travel into town. The price of the room was reasonable and a lot cheaper than a popular budget hotel in the centre of London.
Thanks for a nice anniversary break. Will definitely be back.

Inexpensive but HOT in summer.

It's a bit outside of city center but with a metro station (Liberte) only 1 minute walk, its was to get round all of Paris. Breakfast was so expensive, $18e per person, that we opted to find patisserie in direction we were going for the day. The killer here was the fact that it was 83 degrees and there was no temperature control in the room. A sign on the wall stated it was controlled elsewhere and a call to the front desk was no help. We all slept very poorly as the room was quite warm. I cannot recommend this hotel solely based on this, at least not during summer months. Our 3rd night in Paris at Timhotel Montmarte was much more comfortable with climate control in room (not to mention a much more pleasant staff).

The hotel and local neighborhood was very good, which was important to me travelling with 2 children.Close to the metro which made getting into the city center relatively hassle free.
My only negative was the booking advertised free parking but this was not something that the staff at the Hotel had any knowledge about and charged me for the privilege. To be fair to Hotels.com did offer to compensate me.

We stayed there for 1 week.
The staff upon arrival was very friendly and made sure that are room was ready as soon as possible so we could settle in.
Great location, many restaurant and bakeries close by.
Just outside the hotel, there is a supermarket and a hairdresser.
The metro is a few steps away, easy access to the Champs Elysee and all of the touristic sites.
We made our reservation on expedia and the room was as clean as our friends who booked on the hotel website.
The rooms are very clean, and beds are not so bad.
I had a very pleasant experience and I definitly recommend this hotel

Perfect hotel for Paris and Disneyland

Great hotel to visit Paris and Disneyland Paris, only 2 minutes walk from the closest Metro station (Liberte) and 30 minutes by car to Disneyland. The hotel is very kids-friendly (gift on arrival, toys, books and Xbox Kinect in the lobby as well as free breakfast). Breakfast was great: lots of choice and healthy options available.

Affordable, 2 minute walk to nearest metro.

Complimentary tea and coffee facilities not sufficient. Family of 4, 2 paper cups, enough for just 2 drinks each day. Complimentary water was a nice change, something we have not had before but feel for the cost of extra tea, coffee, milk and china cups could have been provided by the hotel. Room was very cramped, a double room made into a family room with 2 double beds. Due to location, ie Paris, only slept in hotel as out all day. Nice to have reasonably priced Supermarket just 1 minute walk, stocked up on packed lunch for the whole family saving a fortune due to cost if eating in Central Paris.

Take your time and find a hotel near the center.

Although the hotel is located right in front of a metro station, it's very exhausting and time consuming having to take the metro al the way to the center.

The hotel has no AC, if you go there during the summer, better take a fan or find some where else to stay.

My tv wouldn't work so the staff told me to go find and fix the cables myself.

Nice hotel near metro for travel to central Paris

We stayed in this hotel as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers) for 3 nights at the end of August.
It was a very good base with good link to central Paris as it was next to metro station.
Hotel was quiet and clean. The staff were very helpful eg when I needed a document printed off they let me email it to the hotel from my phone and printed it free of charge.
The breakfast which I had booked was very nice with decent choice
My only criticism is that we had booked a family room but the second 'bed' was a camp bed which was uncomfortable as you could feel the frame beneath you. I feel that it should have been a proper bed
Overall though we were pleased with this hotel and the service and would recommend it.
