The property is neglected and in a state of decay

I've been staying at this place for several years with a short break between 2020 - 2025. It's disheartening to see how this property has decayed (maintenance and service wise.) over the years due to obvious neglect. Airport shuttle service has declined significantly with the limited hours.

Things went downhill shortly after NH was purchased by Minor Hotels. I had the pleasure of experiencing this place in the years prior. It's how I fell in love with it. It's how NH earned my trust. I always seek out an NH hotel since I can count on the consistency.

The decay isn't limited to this property. All the NH Hotels I've visited are in disrepair. There's a clear lack of maintenance, upkeep, and staffing. This specific location (Raunheim) must be the worst.

Room cleanliness quality is in decline. The sleeping area and bathroom lack attention to detail. Toilets have yellowish-brown stains, bathtubs, sinks, showers have grime. Floors and carpets are dirty. Upper management must course correct with housekeeping, this is crucial. Public areas are in slightly better condition.

The property is due for renovation. Minor Hotels needs to invest some cash into this brand. Rooms need an update and the pool (at this property) needs to be restored.

My biggest dissatisfaction is the broken gym equipment (pictured). The same machine at each NH has been broken since 2017. It's baffling and comical at this point. Nearly 10 years with broken equipment. When do you plan on fixing/replacing?

The room was just fine—nothing fancy, but everything that you would need (although, oddly, no fridge). But we arrived at a time when the airport shuttle bus wasn't running and tried to call the hotel repeatedly, to ask the best way to get to the hotel from the airport, and nobody picked up, for well over an hour in the middle of the afternoon. The finally picked up and said that there had been only one staff member and they had been busy checking in guests and couldn't answer the phone, but didn't seem particularly apologetic. There should be instructions in the welcome email, explaining how to get to the hotel if the shuttle is not running. Also, a small (0.5L) bottle of water in the lobby costs €4. Ridiculous. Overall, I was not impressed with the service, but thought the building and room itself were fine.

Room was never properly cleaned, floor and carpet was always dirty even after being “cleaned”. Sheets in the bed were never changed the pillows smelled and had stains. My room key stopped working a total of 3 times. I attempted to dine at the restaurant a total of 4 times and was never able to.

Airport shuttle is to run at the hour and half hour. Was outside early for 9:00 shuttle, which apparently got stuck in traffic. It arrived at 9:15 and then the driver insisted that because of the traffic we now had to wait to leave until 9:30 am. This is a SIGNIFICANT time difference and could have been handled much better!!!

I did not like that the only option for dinner was a $25 buffet. Breakfast cost $15 which was high based on what you got. Also had to pay for airport shuttle which you do not in the US. Very male dominant staff and guests which made me feel uncomfortable traveling as a single woman.

I've stayed in NH hotels before and the value fir money is good. Rooms are spacious. This one even had a very nice restaurant for dinner and breakfast.
The only issue I had was with the air condition thermostat. It seemed defective. The room was rather warm and uncomfortable during a hit summer day & night.

This is a very modern hotel in the middle of Raunheim (an unexceptional town near FRA airport). It has all the facilities you would want. My room was very comfortable, with a small fridge, a safe and air-conditioning. There's a small swimming pool and a large sauna area. The car park is large, though it was almost full when I was there. Across the road is a Jet petrol station, which is great for rental car refuelling.
After many visits, I still find the roads around FRA confusing. So I was glad of my car's nav to get me from the hotel back to the airport.

Property is super good staff in the hotel so professional , just one thing the driver of the shuttle bus from airport to hotel is rude , i knew the bus has a white color when i told him is this going to NH hotel he was like ah no no there is another bus .. i felt he has something to do unfortunately he had to work , i was about to miss that bus because of him while i was travelling all night with 5 years kid landed 5 am Frankfurt.. the bus was scheduled at 6:15 he left 6 :13 hope there was no one else who was running to catch the bus ….

The staff was very helpful, specially one of the restaurant servers (never got his name, sorry).
The bedroom was very comfortable, and the location was great. Very close to a train station.
What we did not like was how slippery the bathtub was and that there were no safety bars in the bathroom. I think that is a safety issue. My travel partner is an older lady and could not take a shower while we were at the hotel.

The NH is a good hotel near the airport. It has a shuttle but it doesn't run all day; it stops from 10;30 to 5pm, which is not convenient. Rooms need a kettle. Swimming pool is very nice. It has a good breakfast and a small grocery shop.

Bit of a mess.

Appreciated that we tried to check in early and they tried to accommodate us. But we were given a room that wasn't meant to be our room. I had a family coming into our room in the middle of the night because they were told that this is their room.

Upon speaking to the receptionist about this, instead of apologising, he laughed at the situation. He explained that I was supposed to be in room 206 but the person who checked us in kept changing the room numbers. At this point it was 5am and I couldn't be bothered to argue.

I was lucky that nothing had happened, but it could have been extremely dangerous to have someone else have the keys to your room as a group of girls.

On the website it said that they have a restaurant, but that day it just so happens that there were only 2 people working and the staff said they only have frozen pizzas. Appreciated the honesty!

There was no basic ammenities such a kettle in the room, there was a coffee machine in the ground floor and lots of teas but no hot water.

But the good thing is the breakfast is decent and the room is actually not bad at all.

They offered us a shuttle service to the airport and although it was scheduled at an hour when we arrived they had put us another one and they did not say it was full. They did not take us and we had to find another alternative.

Lots of Amenities!

Our search filter asked for free parking. The parking is safe and on-site, but it is NOT free. That being said, it was our only disappointment. Clean and close to the airport, it has lots of amenties, including a nice pool (during Covid, reservations are required). There was a bar, nice lounges, and a mini-store with wine and snacks. Also a workout room. The breakfast (not included) is worth the price, with lots of choices of protein. Nice room, nice atmosphere, and very helpful and friendly staff.

Nice hotel and friendly staff. Hotel restaurant was not running for dinner due to Covid, but local Steakhouse (10 mins walk) is thoroughly recommended. It had great food and at a decent price. Hotel breakfast was good. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a stop over any time.

Comfortable hotel with clean lobby, clean room, good amenities. Couldn't use pool because of numbers limitations. This was not on the website where I booked the room nor told to me upon check-in. Several restaurants within a few hundred meters of hotel if you don't want to eat there. Breakfast was good with great variety of foods available.

The hotel is quite good. Little bit outdated, but still good. Breakfast excellent. Beds comfortable. The only issue was the pool temperature. 2-3 degrees colder that it should be. It took us 20 minutes by car to Frankfurt, but the parking was free.

Overall my stay at this hotel was great. The thermostat in the room did not work so I could not get the air to blow cooler. I had to open the window to cool off the room. I slept ok so it wasn't too warm, just not able to make it as cold as I wanted. I really liked the size of the room and all the space, especially the corner desk that gave me lots of space to work on my laptop.

Warm welcome after a rainy day

After a long waiting time for the shuttle to the hotel, which was caused due to very bad weather (rain, storm) at Frankfurt airport, the check-in was very fast and the friendly face of the gentleman at the check-in was a warm welcome indeed. The hotel, hotel room, amenities, and cleanliness were exceptional. Just a small set-back: the gym did not have many machines and was way too warm for a work-out.

The place is A ! Location, pick up shuttle service from and to the airport, clean and nice room and environment, but overall the most wonderful asset of NH is their personnel at the reception. Jose Gonzalez, in Frankfurt Airport West is a highly professional, attentive and focused on customer service. For sure, from now on I will look for NH hotels on my next stay!

Lies and stress: NH has no airport shuttle to FRA

We arrived by Taxi the day before our flight and the stay was fine UNTIL:
Went to front desk to check out - 20 min. wait for one agent. Outside the airport shuttle we had reserved for us and our 6 suitcases (~100kg) was nowhere to be seen at the appointed time. Waited... We then noticed one other person who had been waiting, walk away fast toward street. At 1 min. after, we got up and walked toward the street too and only then saw a shuttle about 150m away at the Holiday Inn!
Walked over to that bus, which was labelled NH as well as HI! Talked to driver who said we were too late and he did not stop at NH. Tto which we responded that we had booked his shuttle and that IT was in the wrong place. He said he could not stop at the NH -- per the hotel. We insisted he pick our bags up, so we met somewhat closer to the NH and boarded - stressed, deceived, sweaty and angry. The outrage continued at the airport end where the driver dropped us at FRA Terminal 1 and refused to take us to Term. 2, where our gate was. - said it was not allowed. We had to carry our luggage to and load it on another bus to Term. 2. We are 70 and 65 years old. We learned the hard way that NH had lied to us - they have no airport shuttle if it does not come to the front of their hotel. They share the HI shuttle at the HI location. NO ONE EVER SAID A WORD TO US ABOUT THIS, even when we booked the shuttle in person at front desk, nor did we see any sign stating where to catch the shuttle. We'll never go back.

Location near the airport and train station made it ideal as a tranist stopover when using the airport and intercity trains from Frankfurt. The building is a little old and plain, withthe bathroom being a bit run down. The room was clean and sufficient.

The breakfast was, however, fantastic: one of the best breakfast buffet I have ever found. A great choice of standard foods and local foods, very fresh and tasty.

Despite big volume of people, good maintenance.
What I would add. In my room we had 2 people two desks two beds one char. Why 1 chair? No good.

Also on a website it says pool and sauna opens at 6:00 am, in reality more like 7ish

Overall very good. Snacks are good. Restaurant open late, kiosk with sandwiches, apples and water in a gym, croissants at reception

It is a brand new property, with renovation or construction continuing. Difficult to get to the room, because of long hallways if your carry lots of baggage.
Once in the room, life is good. The layout is modern and comfortable.
You can get from the Airport to the NH Hotel by shuttle, which is shared by Holiday Inn Express. Cost of shuttle is 5 Euro.

It was stylish and clean. Enjoyed the sauna and pool. Appreciated the airport shuttle service. The service desk was helpful; even suggesting a great place to run in the morning. Restaurants and groceries were near-by. Ruanheim is a lovely town.
We also ate multiple times at the Kebob House.
