The hotel was more like a former socialist building from the 80's. The receptionist lady was the highlight of the hotel. She was friendly and helpful. No lightning in the bathroom, TV was barely hanging of the wall, bedding seemed better times. Breakfast was ok, no gluten nor lactose free options. Self parking near the gate.

This hotel was so comfortable. The desk service was kind and friendly, the room was newly remodeled, clean and lovely, the bed was comfy and the linens were clean, white and ironed! We felt very comfortable and grateful that we chose this hotel!!

We stayed there only one night after arriving in Frankfurt from Colorado. None of the 3 of us had slept over 1-2 hours before landing. There are several steps into where the elevator is at from the parking area. Parking was high compared to every other place we stayed during our 3 weeks there. We did not take the breakfast option as it was more also than going to a nearby cafe. Worse was the noise. At about midnight we were rudely awakened by 6-8 drunks speaking very loudly in the parking lot . We speak fluent German & yelled at them to quiet down. My husband even went down & knocked on the door of the manager who did not answer. This went on for over 2 hours.

Great Value, will come again

Vivian the counter-lady was very nice and accommodating. The hotel is not exactly super close or next to the airport as the name suggests but, its not that far either. Maybe 8 miles, or around $35 euros taxi charge to give you an idea. Yes I would stay here again given the price which is a great value. Within walking distance of a few blocks you can find a little shopping center to buy food, clothes and anything you might need and forgot to bring with you.

The breakfast dinning room was very nicely decorated in a German way. It was very beautiful to look out the windows in the dinning room and bed room and see the flowering tress and hear the birds. The breakfast was quite good. They had a ramp to roll your suite case in and they had an elevator, which was very convenient. And one of the best parts was the parking was free and plenty of space. The rooms were clean and roomy and had a fridge and kettle and tea and coffee packages. It was less than 15 min. from the airport. They had wifi. The bed sheets were soft. The shower temperature was consistent (not too hot or too cold). They allowed for a late check out.

To get to the point, this is a rather old fashioned no frills typical German small hotel. Let’s start off with what was ok: cleanliness. My room was clean and absolutely no issues there. There was a refrigerator in the room and a coffee kettle but no coffee. I paid my own so not an issue. Was a nice September day, but ….. no air conditioning in my room. No way I would stay in the warmer months. Location is close enough to FRA that Uber was reasonably priced. There looked to be a restaurant of sorts - but if it was open I could not tell. Bed was quite spartan and low to the ground but clean and ok. Shower was small if you’re a normal sized man, well it’s a tight fit. No bathroom accessories. Towels were threadbare. Noisy (windows had to stay open for ventilation). Neighborhood surrounding a mix of industrial business park stuff and some houses. Internet was free - took a bit of finagling to get connected but hey - anything in Europe free of charge is good. This is truly a case of you get what you pay for. Norhing more or less. It’s ok for a place to sleep and tourist travel. For business travel - avoid.

My room was directly about the smoking area outside where people were often outside. When I opened a window, thesmell of smoke was sometimes strong. I woke up at night and found a bedbug so stayed up and left early for the airport.

Not far away from the Airport but you pay 30€ to go from the Airport and 30€ to go back, so at the end you better stay within the Airport because even if it's more expensive you end Up paying the same amount and the Airport hotel is better than this one. Also, the restaurant is only available for breakfast, not for lunch nor dinner and the hotel itself isn't so appealing, It lacks comfort

First the good: reception woman was lovely and the room was clean. However… it’s called an airport hotel but it is a 30 euro 15 minute cab ride from the airport… in the original post it said they have an airport shuttle which when we arrived it did not exist so we’re paying almost as much in cabs as we are for the room. When we got to the hotel there were a bunch of men smoking cigarettes giving us stink eye on the stairs, and the whole hotel reeked of cigarettes. The room we were put in had obviously had the door kicked in before and in addition there were no locks on the door so in the morning housekeepers walked right into the room (vs with a chain they would have only been able to open the door a crack). It doesn’t look like a great area so walking to the one restaurant in the area, we felt compelled to be sure to return to the hotel before nightfall. Overall it’s clean but stinky and NOT worth staying at… spend a bit more on a hotel closer to the airport

Go someplace else!

I wish I would have read the reviews before I decided to stay here. Check in was slow and incurred issues when the reception stated I did not pay when I prepaid on the app. Then I discovered they put me in a basement (Keller) room. I said that it was uncomfortable and requested a different room. I had to wait but was placed in a different room. At 10:30pm the manager came to my room angry. He didn’t really speak English, but I know enough German to understand he was demanding to know why I was not in the original room. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary. The room was hot, no AC or fan. Then in the morning a cockroach greeted me in the shower. I wish I would’ve gone somewhere else. I will never stay there again.

Did not have breakfast or use the paid airport shuttle service. Hotel is a 10-minute walk from public bus stops for services to the airport and train station. The room was not lockable and there was a faint smell of smoke when using the bathroom extractor fan.

The hotel offered free parking and proximity to the airport. But the property was worn and unclean. Our non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. Mattresses were uncomfortable—low and thin. Pillows were practically non-existent. We had to stuff clothing under the pillows to give them a shape. No safety bar in the exceptionally small shower. We’ve stayed in worse hotels, but not for this price. It’s hard to believe others gave this property a positive rating. Would not recommend or return.

Overall it's a very nice hotel. The breakfast is worth the money. My only gripes are the tv didn't have many channels and they often had pixelation and faded out. The hotel isn't very close to restaurants or stores so a car or bike is a good idea. Plenty of free parking.

Although this is named the 'Airport Hotel', this is not close to the airport at all, but 10 km away through undeveloped forest and situated in a warehouse/commercial district. There is one Thai fast food restaurant nearby, which we did not use (we also did not use the restaurant inside the hotel, which was closed when we arrived). The room had no air conditioner, which they tried to minimize by leaving the window open, letting in bugs. There was no insulation in the walls or door, so you could hear the smallest noise. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were 1 inch thick. We left 3 hours early the next morning to sit at the airport, since the monitor/TV didn't work and there was basically nothing to do. The taxi cost each way was about 30 euros, so this was not cost-effective at all. We wished we had spent 2 to 3 times as much money just to stay closer to the airport.

One of the most miserable Hotels I've stayed at in my entire life.
I 100% don't recommend it, the general Area is absolutely horrible and depressing. Spend extra and go to a better Hotel, that's what I did. I had booked 2 nights but went to a different Hotel for the 2nd night.

The staff seemed nice but didn't speak proper English. I was alone for a Business trip, if you are a family...stay the hell away.

Only thing that was good was the Free Parking.

No shuttle service, unknown hotel

If anyone is looking for a hotel near the Frankfurt airport, I would advise them not to book Moerfelden-Walldorf (also called Airport Hotel Walldorf). We did because it appeared to be the closest one in our price range, and it had shuttle service. No one who works with hotel shuttles at the airport and no one at the information center at Frankfurt Airport had ever heard of it. The info center people, based on the address, decided it had probably changed its name and arranged a cab for us to the hotel at that address. Only it was the wrong hotel and not quite the same address. We walked a mile (according to my Fitbit) in the dark in who-knows-where, pulling our suitcases behind us, and thanks to Google Maps, found the hotel. By then we'd lost a good couple of hours that we could have been sleeping before an early flight. The \"shuttle service\" turned out to be an arrangement with a taxi company. For the $50 we spent on taxis, we could have found a hotel that actually did have a shuttle and that the locals were aware of. What a nightmare of a last night in Europe!

I checked in around 11PM and went to the room, the room had two single beds, not twins. Then as I was trying to lock the door, I realized that the door latch and knob was not getting into the lock position unless your play with several times and by luck one of these times would get locked. I informed the lady at the front desk of the problem and she came and saw the problem, but then when I asked her to change the room for me or fix the door, she started to act in a very un-friendly manner and started calling me as \"childish\" and \"cowered\" because I insisted that I would not stay in that room. She was calling me these names in her original language Turkish, that I told her I speak a little. Before that she brought a guy who did not speak any English, I understood that he was the maintenance guy, he also was trying to show me how to put the latches in manually and play with it until it is locked. I finally decide that it was not my job to fix a hotel room door while I was just going to stay there for less than 8 hours. So I left and had very hard time finding another hotel room after mid night that caused m Euros 47 and further away from the airport.

No free shuttle from the airport!

The overall experience would’ve been OK if only there wasn’t an issue with the shuttle bus. When I was choosing my accommodation, this was my main requirement. This hotel states that the shuttle bus is provided, but what they don’t say that it will cost you about the same amount of money as taking a taxi.
In my experience so far, every hotel which stated that they have a shuttle bus provided, it is actually included in the price. Or, they would say that it’s provided for additional charge (as with breakfast, for example).
Well, I paid €25 to get from the airport to the hotel with a taxi! When I got to the airport bus shuttle station I couldn’t find this hotel on the list. I called the hotel, and they said they can give me the number of the shuttle bus company, but that it will cost me €20. So, I just decided to take a taxi.
The next morning, we needed to get back to the airport, and we negotiated the price for the shuttle for €15. The shuttle driver barely spoke both English and German, and left us at the wrong terminal.
Anyway, if you have money to spend on a cab or you are driving your own car, this hotel might be ok for you.
I feel ripped off and frustrated because I got off the cross-Atlantic flight with a 5 year old, and it was one of the most stressful travel experiences I ever had.

I phoned the hotel from the Frankfurt airport to ask which shuttle to take. The clerk mumbled something I didn't understand and hung up on me. Afterl repeated attempts I had a number to call for a shuttle, which I was told would cost 20 Euros. I'm quite sure Expedia said the shuttle was free, but - NO. I called the shuttle and was told they couldn't help me as they were too busy. Instead I should take a cab. I approached a cab driver who asked, \"Which Walldorf Hotel? There are three.\" I showed the Expedia reservation on my phone, but he couldn't make sense of the address and took another customer instead of me. I then tried again with another cab driver, called the hotel and handed my phone to the taxi driver. He told me he couldn't understand what he had been told (in German, not English) and took another customer. I finally gave up and took a shuttle to a different hotel. Money wasted.

No hotel airport shuttle!!!

No airport shuttle service provided by hotel!! Hotel advertised as having airport shuttle service and granted they don’t advertise free airport shuttle however they ask me to call some number for shuttle that was impossible for me to connect with and hotel staff said it would be 25 euros each way!!! Terrible surprise but I managed taking a bus for less than 3euros and walking 10 min to hotel, so this hotel lacks in communicating this transportation disadvantage.... They should advertise no free shuttle but 10 min walk to bus stop or take uber or taxi! Also hotel is in a dark industrial park are not near other hotels or stores so walking in very dark street is not ideal for anyone!!

Best place to stay for an early flight

We used this hotel because we had an early flight to catch the next day. The hotel was conveniently located about 10 minutes away from the airport. It is located in a really quiet area, so we didn't have to worry about not getting a good nights rest before the early flight. The check-in was quick and the staff was understanding of the early checkout and made that part easy as well. When booking through Hotels.com, they don't require any additional payment or information. Everything was perfect & PARKING IS ACTUALLY FREE! No hidden fees at all with this hotel. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Budget hotel, few amenities, good breakfast.

Stayed for one night, before flying out of Frankfurt airport in the morning. My bed was fine, good hot shower, otherwise fairly run down, even at this budget price. Service was not up to standards, but the breakfast was very good and included in (my) price. There is also a non-refundable policy for the room.

Distance to airport is much greater than the 3.5 miles they advertise. Cost of taxi from/to airport is about $25- each way, so be sure to budget for this! A direct public bus line is available just a 10 minute walk away, which will take you from Waldorf area to Airport Terminal 1, for €3.5 which is a great option.

This hotel claimed to be a 3.3. My best description is it's like a dorm room. Reasonably clean but minimal. They also claim to have a shuttle to and from the airport. There isn't a sign at the airport for their hotel. I grabbed a taxi and it cost 33 Euro (10 Km ride). I did grab their \"shuttle\" back to the airport but it's a taxi with a pre negotiated rate of 20 Euro. It actually cost 25 Euro because of traffic problems. My recommendation is to pay a bit more for a brand name hotel near the airport. It will be less cost and frustration.

The hotel was very clean and quaint. Not huge, but just right for a quick, clean overnight before a long flight. Lots of water pressure!

My only complaint was the beds were horribly uncomfortable. Each bed had one very large pillow sham which isn't something I would typically sleep on. The main issue was the mattress felt (and sounded) like a plastic pad you might find on the floor of a gymnastics room. I would highly recommend staying here if the mattresses were real mattresses. Until then I won't return.

I rented the room thinking it was close to the airport because I needed to stay overnight in Frankfurt. Not only was it not close, it wasn't anywhere near public transportation. Unlike other hotels, this one has no airport shuttle. It will cost you between 30-40 euros to get to the the hotel from Frankfurt airport.

Contrary to Hotels.com posting there is no in-house shuttle service, which was an inconvenience after arrival to the airport.
Most guests are Chinese on tours, and were very loud with opening and closing of doors through till midnight or later. Perhaps improved door closures can be installed.
The rooms were clean, modern, simple, tasteful.
There are some nice restaurants in the village.

Who needs the \"big\" hotel chains? This was a perfectly fine place to stay. It wasn't far to return rental car to airport. It's not main drag, but rather quaint. I did unplug the fridge before bed. I hate extra sounds in the room when sleeping...much like the AC/Heater units in usual hotels.

12km from the airport

My boyfriend who has never been to Germany before booked this AND our sat nav decided NOT to function this weekend which colours the experience. He thought it was AT the airport. It is not.
No one sells maps anymore and most people have lost the ability to give driving (or walking) instructions. Finding our way to and from the hotel was quite challenging especially as we had ALOT of travelling to do (Idstein, Bonn, Cologne, Frankfurt). If you make a wrong turn or miss the turn, there is alot of driving to recover, especially without a sat nav. If you are a light sleeper, there is lots of noise, but the windows are well insulated if you can sleep with the windows closed.
There are a surprising number of inexpensive places to eat and shop for pic nic supplies within walking distance of the hotel

Hotel near the airport

This hotel is not as close to the airport as it seems. Took us about 15 minutes to get to the airport and it is in the middle of nowhere. When we first checked-in, the room we received looked nothing like the pictures so we requested the room in the pictures (because that is the one we paid for), and the lady at the front desk moved us to a new room. This room was much better as it had been newly renovated, whereas the old room was rundown, dark, and seemed a bit dirty. Overall, I would not recommend staying in this hotel because there are a lot more that are nicer for similar price closer to the airport.

Staff doesn't speak great German or Englsih. Told me the hotel was short bus ride from the airport, actually ended up spending a couple hours and a lot of money traveling back and forth between airport and hotel. No free shuttle service. Also said breakfast was free, wasn't. Very frustrating stay.

Nice place

I just needed a place relatively close to the airport at a reasonable price. I had a rental car so was more worried about free parking than ability to get to or from the airport. My room key didn't work so after the desk clerk tried another to no avail he put me in a different room. The wi-fi worked great in my room and it was very spacious and clean. There didn't seem to be a whole lot within walking distance but with a car it was no problem. Would stay here again.

Dieses Hotel ist kein Airport Hotel es liegt zu weit außerhalb vom Flughafen. Es bietet auch keinen Transfer,wie beschrieben an. Die Zimmer sind alt und von der Ausstattung kalt. Das einzige positive ist das Frühstück mit großen Anteil zum Asiaten. Es wird zum größten Teil von Asiaten genutzt wie auch die Besitzerdes Hotel.Es liegt in einem Gewerbepark. Man kommt nur mit einen Taxi zum Hotel.

Svårt att komma till ro efter att personalen varit otrevlig i en halvtimme när man checkar in efter kl 21.30. Vi sov bara över och checkade ut igen 07.30.
Annars var rummet fint och städat.

La habitación estaba muy limpia y el desayuno bastante completo. Pero NO HAY SERVICIO de parte del hotel para recoger a los huéspedes en wl aeropuerto, a pesar que eso dice la página. Hay que tonar un camion que pasa cada medya hoea y que tarda media hora en llegar, luego hay que caminar 10 minutos. Si se lleva coche, no hsy ningún problema.

AIR PORT HOTEL 왈도르프

기차역에서 거리가 있어서 도보로는 약 25~30분 정도 소요됩니다. 컨디션에 따라 멀다고 느낄수 있습니다.
호텔 주변은 별다른 건물들이 없어 조용합니다.
아침은 먹을 만 하고요 조금만 걸어 가면 근처에 DM 매장등이 있어 선물 구입하기 아주 좋습니다.
방 청소는 그다지 깨끗하게 하는 편은 아니었습니다.
