DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I made a reservation with Expedia for this property. I chose the “pay at property” option for my reservation. On the day of check in I arrived around 7pm. The man at the front desk told me my reservation had been cancelled. I checked my Expedia app and my reservation was active. So I asked why was it cancelled. He then proceeds to lie and say that they ran my credit card ahead of time and the card declined so the reservation was cancelled. This was false. I told him my card was active but if I chose pay at check in option why would you run my credit card ahead of time?? I had to call Expedia and they were showing my reservation active
I asked the man at the front desk, let’s say that what he’s saying is true, that my card declined. Why was I not sent a notification of cancellation?
He very rudely said that I don’t need to tell him how to do his job and that I’m expedias problem
Basically because I checked in late he gave away my room is what happened and instead of apologizing and being empathetic he lied and left me with no room for the night and left me for Expedia to deal with me
I proceeded to tell him that he was being rude to me and this wasn’t my fault and he needs better customer service skills for the way he’s treated me and then he tells me there’s no hope for me
What a rude non empathetic way to treat a customer. I will never stay here again

Constructions were ongoing, not mentioned on the website.
AC unit was making abnormal sound every 4-10 minutes.
$150 cash deposit was not mentioned prior to booking reservation.
Check in was inconvenient due to no wifi systems were down.
The front desk lady didn't know what she was doing.
She didn't let us know how to get to our room. We have to ask other patrons where is the elavator.
Misleading information because it was mentioned newly renovated, but it was under construction.
Check out time was 11:00am
At 10:10 am. Showering and the water stop completely, no communication provided that water will stop.
Outside staircase area smells dog poop.

The room was renovated but the entire building is under construction with trash piled up and only a few rooms available. The staff is very unfriendly, short and rude. They ask for a $150 CASH deposit per room but have no ATM and it’s not on the sites it’s posted on. When I checked out they almost didn’t give me my deposit back. Meaning they chose who they charge the deposit to and who they don’t. The security guard was very creepy and kept mentioning he was armed. Overall very disappointed. Yes it’s close to other stores but it’s worth spending and extra $20 and stay elsewhere where they are a bit more helpful and attentive.

Roof was leaking in our room. No one came to look at it or make repairs. The room smelled of mold and the carpet was wet. One night all of our belongings were soaked in the room. When I spoke with the front desk I was informed they were aware of the leak and that room was not supposed to be checked out to anyone but it was. We were left in the room all week and due to a busy weekend could not find a comparable room available elsewhere. I was told I would receive a $70 refund at the end of my stay (for a week stay in a wet moldy room???) I have not received any refunds to this date and it has been over two weeks. Would do 0 stars if possible, I cannot believe I spent one cent on this hotel.

Specifically the room 105, is very moldy the other rooms are better but bc this one has an open shower the floor gets really wet and everything is soggy. I had to open the window to air it out. I highly suggest leaving the windows open for a long while if not changing the shower arrangements Love this hotel location tho

I’ve stayed at a lot of terrible hotels in the past (even in Third World countries) but this is probably the worst hotel I have ever experienced. The whole hotel is shady. I understand they were doing construction on the first floor, but the lack of communication, the people they had working on it, the sketchy security guard posted by the open door, the lack of general maintenance and filth, put this motel at the very bottom of any list. After a long day, we returned to the room to find that the water was shut off due to construction. They did not inform us until we got to our room. We were told it would be 30 minutes. 30 minutes later we were told it would be 45 minutes. An hour later we were told another 45 minutes. By this time it was after 10 o’clock and we had an early morning the next day. The manager was very argumentative and continued to lie about when the water would come back on. Thankfully, there was a Comfort Inn two blocks away with excellent accommodations - so we got out of there! Not only was this motel disgusting but the consistent lying dragged it on far too long. I will never stay at a Motel 6 again in my life.

The room i got was a suite, but i didn't like the toilet, it was so low, thats the kind u would find in a lil.kids bathroom, it was not up to compliance, the microwave wave didn't work, the bedroom was uncomfortable because we couldn't get any cool air from air conditioning, it was in the living room, the swimming pool had green algie in it, not clean plus the water was cold, we couldn't get in it, not satisfied at all, especially the toilet, it was so low i had to use the door handle to get up and im only 5'4\" also my wife, unhappy with the room, good thing it was for 1 night only

I arrived at 3pm when check was supposed to be. The room wasn’t ready. I told the lady at the front desk. She said it’ll be ready in 45 minutes. 45 minutes later, I went and check to see if the room was ready. They hadn’t even started cleaning it. So, when I went back to the front office he just then asked the housekeeper to clean my room. I didn’t get in until 4:30. Then when I went in my room, the sink was clogged and the room was dirty still.

Was there for work stayed with my daughter and her friend.

Checkin was easy , but lady at front desk was to into her conversation to speak to me.
Area surrounding hotal was sketchy lots of people on drugs and walking around property.
Room was clean , can use some up grades.

For only staying the night price was ok think could be a better deal. If in Another clutch id stay again.

Staff was great. But the hotel is older and needs some love. The bed was very comfortable though. But due to the demographic of the town there was a lot of very sketchy people that wandered into the hotel area and it was not fun having a child around that. Its not the hotels fault and there’s not an easy solution. They have security and cops entered the parking lot a few times, but also its not fun to see cops at your hotel. This is a good enough hotel if you need a quick stop, but not good for a family vacation

Motel 6 is definitely the cheapest opyion in Oceanside. Overall it is a decent place to stay, we would stay again. They just need to do alot of building maintenance. Noisy elevator, tape on the bad flooring, needs some TLC

Just another Indian owned hotel bites the dust.

I asked for a different accommodation, hotel front desk promised to move me, never did. I asked repeatedly, manager told me that the wing is completely occupied, while I have seen every day place half unoccupied. Instead, I lived in cockroaches infested room, with the view of a parking lot. The place is unsafe, one night about 2.30am a local street dweller tried to enter, and was chased away by a night guard, they have to have it. Every morning, about 8.30am, housekeeping started rolling loudly clanking on pavement squares service carts, making impossible for morning sleep. To top off the cherry, when I exhausted from sleep deprived night, left my Nikon camera in a bag, they pretended never seen it, effectively stealing it.

The first night I stayed I woke up to a tour bus nearly hitting my car while backing up because the facility had blocked the reasonable exit option. The second I woke up to see several police cruisers in the parking lot. The staff were not friendly and acted as if I was bothering them to do their job, we had no room freshen up and had to go to the lobby to request clean towels. The best way to explain the value of this property is you get what you pay for.

The room was a room there were dried boogers stuck to the walls. The beds although the top mattress had a clean sheet and blankets the bed skirts were stained and looked like they had never been washed. The pool was out of order due to maintenance accidentally dumping something in it. There as tagging everywhere the beverage machine was broken. And there was homeless people living in their vehicles in the parking lot. I guess you get what ya get at a motel 6. But in all my life this is the worst one I have ever stayed at. Best of luck to anyone else who stays there I’d say lock your car and hope for the best.

I was really pleasantly surprised that we got a suite, with a view of the ocean. It was nice being able to stretch out and do our own things, not being on top of each other. One negative was that the TV in the main room didn't work, but we wern't staying there long, so it wasn't so bad. And the price was perfect for our last minute trip.

The first room we were assigned had long black hair on the sheets and little black specs. We went and requested another room and that room had a funky smell, but we dealt with it. I slept on top of the bed with a blanket that I brought from home. In the morning when I went to shower, there was a leftover used bar of soap on the tub edge of the tub which means the tub had not been cleaned after the previous people left. Needless to say I did not shower and we left as quickly as we could that morning. Definitely not what I expected for the price that we paid!

Hotel advertised breakfast, however did not have breakfast at all. Only coffee. Stayed for 3 nights and had to tell front desk to send housekeeping for trash, bedding, and towels. Was an ok stay. Hotel is old and could definitely use a remodel.

Nice room with an ocean view

We stayed at this hotel for a family vacation. The property has apparently been transitioning ownership since May so not sure if that’s why the rooms and property are pretty outdated. The room needed some work cosmetically and the bathroom needs some work but with that being said there were so pretty great things too. We had a beautiful ocean view that was an entire wall of windows facing the water. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very big, enough space for our kids to run around. Our room was cleaned everyday by housekeepers and overall we had a nice stay.
