The motel is in a nice area and is super close (near walking distance) to "Main Street" Oceanside's boutique district where all the shops, clubs and eateries are located. While the room was clean and adquately furnished with a comfortable bed and ample safe parking, the motel itself is screaming for a remodel. It gets 2.5 stars.

We basically just needed a place to sleep for 1 night. This property was affordable, clean and no frills. The rooms are small but served it's purpose. It was a good budget friendly option.

The room was filthy and looked like someone had left a dog in there alone and it had chewed up everything in site. The main door had a huge gap underneath where it met the floor. We had to shove a towel under the door so we didn’t see people walking by. Think twice before you stay there.

Where to start with this one. First off let’s clarify this is nowhere near a “boutique” property as the name suggests. I wanted to like it after checking in because the person who checked me in was so kind and it seemed like a family owned property that they had put a lot of love and money into and that guests had disrespected. As a business owner I know how discouraging that can be so I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. Since I don’t have enough words available to really describe this stay I will try to put it in bullet points.
Caution tape at stairs to room when I finally found them behind steel gate. Filthy! I cannot say this enough. Bodily fluids including blood visibly on chair (a lot) and blood on door as well as I’m sure other places I couldn’t see. Would not set bags on floor or near bedding. I would not doubt bedbugs but I was bitten by something. After one full week of pain and itching I ended up at Urgent Care where it was determined it was a tick bite and I have Lyme symptoms! I was told I needed to report to SD Vector Control. Because I felt for these owners I called to explain before they were sideswiped by the report. The person who answered Amari was so rude and disrespectful when I called with empathy and understanding even though I am the one in treatment for something because of their negligence. Any good I had felt while there went out the window. He actually tried to tell me I “couldn’t call Vector Control”. This property absolutely lost me.

A good, clean, safe place to stay in Oceanside for a fairly low price. If you just need a place to shower and sleep in between work days or vacation activities, this is a solid option.
Booked through hotels dot com it was very affordable.

The room was dirty, even though it reeked of cleaning products?? I discovered this was to mask the sewer smell coming from the bathroom. There were disgusting stains on the chair that was in the room, I would not even sit on it. The Luggage stand had what appeared to be dried vomit or something else on it... I left early because the room was so bad. I will NEVER stay there again and would not recommend it to ANYONE>

Where do I begin? Bb gun shots on the door, dusty furniture, stained bed sheets, stained crown molding , floors, walls, etc. Grimy shower, clogged sink, dirty pool, with floating pieces inside......disgusting overall establishment that needs to be inspected by city. Homelessness surrounding cars...the ksut goes on and on..... overall a very sketchy.....do not stay here, especially with a family!

They did not mention it was a adjoining room that had a door to a second room. Pictures online looked way nicer than actual room. Credit system was down so made us pull 100 dollars out in cash for deposit in order to stay the night.

The morning manager was extremely mean and tried to keep our deposit. He said two towels were missing which was such a lie we had to call the police to have them go check to see we were right. Never again. You get what you pay for

The whole room looked super worn down, the tv only had one Chanel available, everything is unsanitary, walls dirty, cockroaches everywhere, the bed sheets felt dirty, shower head/floor dirty and rusty, there’s an awful smell in the room.

The building is not well maintained. The photos posted do not match. The card key doors do not work properly, and had to get them rekeyed twice, and the door still wouldn't work 9 out of 10 times. This leaves you exposed to danger. There were several drunks wandering about, making the area feel even more unsafe. There was even a homeless man sleeping where the dumpster were. No security to be seen. The security doors to access the second floor also were not working properly, and was a major struggle to get thru.

1st night was terrible.
Room 119, the shower smelled like sewage. We moved rooms and it was better.
It is pet friendly BUT be prepared to pay $30 a night. I paid a total of $120 for my dog. PLUS $100 deposit.
Noticed homeless around the property as well. Over my stay wasn't the best.

Where to begin? The sign says the ATM machine is broken so everything is in cash (presumably to prevent a paper trail). I had to beg for security deposit receipt and finally got one. At night I read the terrible reviews and got more scared about the deposit and cleaned the room for 2 hours. The aggressive, loud guy at the desk (Jay), as I tried to check out, grabbed the receipt and blacked out his name and crumbled the paper. I realized getting a deposit back was going to be a struggle as he called me names and waved his hands like a kook and I called the cops. This place is a scam palace and should be further investigated for fraud. I am surprised they have not been shut down. Zero stars should be an option here.

The room had nasty smell to it, the tea didn’t work, I had to go out to come and look at the TV four times before you actually came and then they told me they forgot and then there was nothing to do about it the shower had cracks in the walls that were moldy and the lighting of the shower the pillows had stains on them and they said not leave any makeup on the towels or mess them up in anyway or we wouldn’t get our deposit it didn’t feel safe and it smells like ass

We ended up sleeping in our vehicle instead because who wants to sleep in a strangers body fluid and dirt? We went to a different hotel.

Worst hotel experience I personally have ever had in my entire Life
I am a 58 year old retired U.S. Marine
And i cannot recall a time I was ever treated this poorly at a hotel.
It was diaturbing how filthy and unclean the room was and how
Un friendly the staff was. As well as unprofessional and THREATENING to me. I ended up calling the Ocean aidr Police dept.
I have never felt the need to call the police on anyone ever in my Life (with the exception of an assault and battery against me many years ago)

The avenida should be condemned.
The staff either needs TRAINING? or to just go do something else other than Hospitality.

The room was fairly clean. There was a blue "love-stained" chair in my room that I didn't touch. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room looked nothing like the photos on the site. It's actually an old Econo Lodge. The smell, wear and tear of the room, and the inherent sketch of an Econo Lodge were evident. However, the shower was nice, and the bed was comfortable. I'm not really complaining, I'm just sharing the reality of the place so people know what they're getting into, unlike myself.

It was a decent stay i reckon. I'm probably not going to stay there again, but I slept well and it was a good choice if you're not looking to break the bank or are just cheap (like myself). I 100% would've gone to a different hotel upon arrival if my family were with me.

The Staff was very rude, the room was not ready, it was Filthy, the room key was not programmed, they also say "dog friendly" then when u get there they ask for 30$ for my dog.
There is condemned Restaurant on property that is BOrdered up and an eye sore he was extremely rude. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It should be shut down

Wouldn’t choose this hotel again. The airport shuttle never showed up and when I called the hotel the line wasn’t working. After walking there I let them know the line was down and the attendant said he had wondered why he wasn’t getting any calls….. Beyond that the blinds were broken and stayed open all night and one of the bedside chargers didn’t work. Bummer of a night.

Sheets were clean and clean towels were provided daily. The furnishings were a bit on the dingy side. The soap dish was not cleaned while I was there (three nights). I was a low maintenance guest -- only there for sleeping and only left toiletries out of my luggage. On the day I was to check in, I received an email asking for payment (Expedia said not to) and a phone call when I hadn't checked in by 5. There was a $100 deposit put on my card that I didn't know about when making the reservation. The shower is a lawsuit waiting to happen -- very slippery.
