The front lobby smelled like weed. Garbage lined the hallway where our room was. The flooring was extremely dirty. Doors, doorframes, and walls were covered in dirt and handprints. I didn’t even want to take my shoes off and walk around the room. We found dog food on the floor in our room. If we were going to be there longer than 8 hours I never would have stayed but we just needed a place to sleep for the night. Even after taking a shower I still felt dirty. Very disappointing

BAD: The carpeting in this hotel is disgusting. The third floor reeks; walking on the carpet without shoes is a definite no-no. I would not let children walk, crawl, or sit on this carpet! The pillows are those miniature pillows, 10 X 10, even with two, it's difficult to sleep. If I had a partner, we would kill each other over the two pillows. Towels were thin and tiny. The remote control was nonexistent, and a replacement did not work. The only Ice machine was on the first floor, which meant a trip up to the room, get the bucket, come back down, and go back up. If I had my grandkids with me and had to drag them up and down, I would have been annoyed.
GOOD: Staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. The beds were comfy (despite the pillows), and I slept OK. The breakfast was adequate, the coffee was good, and they offered flavored cream, which was a plus.

The lady at the front desk was kind. But the room and the property could be better conditions. We had problems with the tv working, so I tried to call front desk and the phone didn’t work. We didn’t have our room clean, just partial and we were four people with just two towels and one toilet paper. The hot water was just warm.

The carpets, elevator, and pool area were dirty with debris on the floor and smudges on the windows and walls. The first room had no working light when you entered the room the second room had a bedside lamp with a burnt out bulb. The staff was accomodating when I requested a room change due to the light not working in my room. The room was clean. But, the office chair was unstable. The pool had a broken safety ring floating in it and the floor was dirty. The hotel did not feel cared for. I won't stay again.

Check in was fine, I had my dog with me, she put us as far away from the entrance, 3 rd floor last room on that floor. So when the dog needed to go out we had to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs and that back stairway was filthy I doubt it has been vacuumed in months, the carpet was black in places.
The room had no wash cloths or hand towels only 2 bath towels. They really need to invest in some decent pillows, king bed with pillows about 15x10, tiny pillows. The room was inexpensive but I expected to at least have the basics.

None of the major TV channels were working throughout the hotel. The WIFI was unreliable. The facility in general and the room were not well cleaned. The staff didn't know or couldn't fix the issues and basically shrugged off the matter. We left.

We called Expedia in the moment for a refund but that was not allowed due to a non-refundable booking (which should not apply to a substandard 'product' which had a rating of 7).

It was all good until last night when we had young kids get the room next to us, blasting music at midnight screaming at the top of their lungs filling the halls with the smell of marijuana after multiple complaints the person working the counter just wouldn’t go up to tell them to knock it off. I even offered to be downgraded a room just to be able to sleep but they refused. The hotel is nice, the staff just doesn’t care enough about you to give a good review. I paid about 170 for 3 nights, and apparently with that price you don’t even get a bar of soap, if that’s saying anything.

Smelt of skunk weed everywhere. They used a 100 deposit which you do not get back for 7days I have photos. Stained bedding, dust months old on surfaces. Carpet is old and stained. We went and bought cleaning supplies and did it ourselves. Or don’t forget the sock we found on the floor… that was not ours. The staff was helpful.

I reserved and paid for the room online. Upon arrival, I was required to pay a $100 deposit for incidentals, which felt unusually high for this particular hotel and was not clearly communicated beforehand.

The bathroom itself was clean, but the rest of the room needed attention. The carpet did not appear to be vacuumed, light fixtures were very dirty, cabinets were worn with peeling paint, and there were visible dirty spots on the walls. There was also a strong mildew smell in the room, which made the stay uncomfortable.

That said, the staff was excellent—very polite, professional, and helpful throughout my stay.

I've stayed at this hotel before, and it was good but this time I was disappointed. The hallway on the 2nd floor where my room was, smelled bad. There weren't many guests at the hotel but for some reason I was booked right next to another guest on the same floor. Ordinarily this wouldn't have been a problem, but this guest was very noisy and kept me awake. On Christmas morning I was awakened by very loud arguing and cursing that went on for a while. The room was very scuffed up with previous damage from past guest. My stay wasn't good like my previous stay, and I was very uncomfortable. I honestly want a refund.

Arrived at 1:15. Check-in still not complete completed by 1:35. The overnight clerk cannot figure out how to charge me for the $100 room deposit. Finally, she gave up and was able to give me my room key.

The elevator floor was caked with dirt. The third floor smelled like somebody had left wet laundry in the dryer for multiple days. Then, when I got to my room, The heating/air did not work.

Went downstairs to ask for a different room and they were all booked. Asked for a refund and they were not able to process the refund at that time. Ended up charging me a second time.

Do not stay here.

Too many strange people walking in and out of hotel made me and my family feel uncomfortable. I spoke with manager about checking out early and he stated that I needed to contact Hotels.com for a refund. So when I reached out to Hotels.com for a refund the hotel denied it saying that the room was not refunded. He never stated that to me when I spoke to him about checking out early. When I requested a refund from the hotel the front desk person tried to lie and say that I never spoke to him. Then he changed his response to check with the third party vendor all the time knowing that they did not want to refund my money. The hotel misled me into thinking that there was no issue with me checking out early but sang a different tune when I requested my refund.

The staff were friendly, but I had too many issues with the room, number 120. The shower was the worst issue, when we opened the door, there was a pile of dirt on the bottom corner, along the wall was dirty too and the shelf for a bar of soap was the smallest one and no where else to put anything, everything went on the floor. Just a shower caddy hanging off the shower head would have solved that problem. The sink wasnt draining, phone was unplugged so i had to go to the desk twice, for a third set of towels and a hair dryer and for a new battery in the heat and air conditioner display on the wall, which was never taken care of. The syrup in the big jar in the kitchen doesnt have a working pump so i had to take it off and got syrup over myself and the counter. Thank you for having sugar free syrup. I would suggest maybe changing the direction the bathroom door opens because its difficult if someone is at the sink for someone else to get into the bathroom. The beds were comfy, but the pillows were like nothing. There seemed to be a lacking of a managers oversight on the rooms. If the phone was unplugged to save for electricity, then check the room once its assigned to guests. Why do we get the option to day there are three people staying in the room, if i still need to get extra towels myself.

We've stayed here a number of times over the last 10years when visiting the St Louis area. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel has gone down significantly during that time.
We've actually stayed in the same room a number of times because it has an in-room jacuzzi they we like. While that seemed to be working ok, the bathroom was missing a number of items (kleenex, TP and the hairdryer) We told the house-keeping person but didnt get anywhere with that person. We ended up taking kleenex and extra TP from her cart just to get some in our room. The carpet was dirty and stained throughout the room. Finally, we were very disappointed with the breakfast. First, the coffee maker was broke during our 2-day visit and no alternative options were offered (seems like a $15 coffee maker from walmart would have solved the issue at least until their coffee machine was fixed?). The rest of the breakfast food options were minimal and not very appetizing.
It is sad that this location, which is ideally located for us when we're traveling, has declined so much over the years. 😢

Girls’ Annual Shopping Trip: You get what you pay for, I guess, but this stay was very disappointing! Filthy carpet, shower was sketchy, very limited toiletries & we had to ask for soap to wash our hands. Breakfast was very limited, too! No regular coffee & juice machine was “out of order.” They did have waffles, cereal & a few yogurts. We chose to eat elsewhere. We have stayed here several times in the past, but the condition has seriously declined, so we won’t be back!

I had read the negative comments but hoped for the best during my trip. I was pleasantly surprised! My room was very nice, clean and comfortable. I had no complaints about the cleanliness of the room at all. Even the female staff member at the front desk was very accommodating as I called to ask for early check in before I arrived, I was told the fee amount, but when I arrived she did not charge me for it. The breakfast was tasty with a selection of items to choose from. It was a great experience overall and I would definitely stay here again. I did however notice that the hallway floor could be updated or thoroughly cleaned. Beyond that, it was a decent place to stay.

This is my experience. Hotel was dirty, kids running around- 1030/1100 at night. Small TV, no "Do Not Disturb" sign in the room. Walls are paper thin-I could hear every conversation the room next door was having after 11pm-
Stood there Sat- Tues. Monday morning, I noticed the toilet was no longer flushing- reported it to the front desk and the girl said that she can give ME a plunger! What the actual *&^% ? This was at 10:30am, I was leaving for the day- I said, "Uh, no! I don't work here!" tell maintenance. She said she would- I returned after 10:30pm and the toilet was NOT fixed. Went back to the same girl and she said that maintenance went home at 4pm- I told her, "I told you at 10:30 this morning! she said she can give me a plunger and I can plunge it myself! Again, I said- NO! Not my job! She said they'll fix it tomorrow! I asked her for a different room and she said they were full for the night. She said people who stay there for an extended time will fix things themselves. She got on the phone and called someone- she told me someone would be there in about 10-15 minutes. It's now after 11pm. Finally, someone should up and plunged the toilet. This is just bad everything had I not already prepaid a couple hundred dollars for the days I would have left immediately. The first morning breakfast- the dinning area was disgustingly dirty! No one bothered to make sure it was presentable. I also got (2) spider bites. It's just gross and way over priced.- My opinion!

The hallways and stairs was all stained and nasty. The room was absolutely nasty and felt very uncomfortable staying in. The walls had been damaged with looked like mold gowing on them. One of the conforters had nasty stains on it. Constant screaming and yelling at all hours of the night. The breakfast was mediocre at best. We booked two nights but we only stayed one. The front desk person asked why and i explained everything to him. He said the manager would contact us but no contact has been made. I have stayed in several hotels across the country and even out of the country. This is absolutely the worst hotel i have ever stayed. We booked our second night at the Holiday Inn express by target. Older and needs a remodel. The first room I was out in was not clean. There were stains in the bed sheets. It was supposed to be non smoking and people were smoking in the hotel. The windows were not clean in the lobby and pool room. The elevator floor stayed dirty. If I was outside of the room I was paranoid of safety. Curtains in both rooms were old and peeling away. I did not feel comfortable eating the free breakfast. For it to be in a nice location, the feel of the place gave motel vibes. The beds were comfortable and free from any rodents or infestation after my deep dive. However, never will I stay here again.

The air conditioning unit had black mold spots all in and around the ventilation vents. The entire room smelled of mildew or mold. There were spots of brown on the bedspread, no hairdryer 3 towels for 2 guests. We had to check out immediately. We left for Heritage Inn and Suites in Fenton. A 20 minute drive might have saved our health as opposed to staying in the mold infested room! Our clothes were saturated in the smell after only 20/30 minutes of contact with the room!

This hotel was disgustingly dirty, everything, the elevator, main bathroom, and my room. There was a big bald spot on my carpet, stained sink, I could see something sprayed on bathroom door, stain on bed spread, furniture all nicked-up, desk chair peeling, just icky. Staff let me check in early, were great and nice. I only stayed one night so didn’t complain. Bed was comfy. Would have been ok with a good cleaning.

I must say that this is the worst place I have ever stayed in. Floors were dirty, very poor customer service
I tried calling front desk from my room several times and never answered. There was a group of six or more guys staying in room 214 that went in and out making lots of noise throughout the night. The bed was comfortable and the a/c was good but that was it. I am never staying here or at any "non" Sleep Inn again. It wasn't worth what I paid that's for sure!

I like the location of the hotel. I did not like the inconveniences and lack of service. I was first sent to a room that was out of order. Then I was placed in a room that seemed to be on the verge of being out of order. The sheets were dirty and I had to change them myself. The microwave was broken. The comforter had a cigarette burn in it. And I was also intentionally misinformed about when management would be available to resolve my concerns. I find it unreasonable to expect hotel deposits for rooms that aren’t up to code/par. So I also didn’t like being given the runaround. I was basically told since it was booked through a third party that they couldn’t discount or lower the rate. Third party booking should not equate to poor service or no direct communication with the customer.

The only good part of the stay was the shower. It was clean and the water was hot. Breakfast was the same thing everyday. Very noisy. 3 story hotel with one ice maker that worked.Staff was unfriendly and hard to communicate with. Pool area was dirty, and water was sketchy.

The property is very outdated sheets has stains but its clean i cant complain AC and mini fridge worked very well, breakfast is ok for what you pay it's a ok hotel my only concern was with the people loitering around the property just felt a little unsafe hallway smelled of weed but that's because of guest smoking even though it's smoke free property will i stay here again maybe not but if you're not picky its a ok hotel and oh staff were nice

We dont stay in motels often, so when we checked in the room was very cold. Couldn't change setting on the unit so suffered through cold nite. In morning found a hard to see thermostat on wall. Very small room. Almost no plugins for electronics, and those were almost worn out. Desk staff not very friendly. Good breakfast.
