It was a great place to stay but it seemed a couple of cosmetic updates needed to occur. The carpet under our room door and in the breakfast area was coming up and a tripping hazard. Also the chairs seats in the breakfast area were coming apart and need to be replaced.

Walls are extremely thin, you can hear everybody talking in the parking lot. The rooms are old and outdated, but the bed was comfortable. If you're staying here to get to the airport the next morning, make sure you don't need to be there before 7. Because the shuttle doesn't start until 7am.

The room was nice, plenty of room for my daughter and I. The only issue we had was they ran out of breakfast before we were able to get down there. BUT. This location was right across the street from our cheer competition so I can't complain too much. We were able to park our car and walk back and forth which saved a major headache of trying to find a place to park at the Convention Center.

Great except no breakfast

The room was clean and the accommodations were fine. The staff was friendly. The only bad thing was breakfast. It had been emptied of food over an hour before breakfast was to be over. The other patrons ate and it was not restocked. We went to Waffle House down the street.

We love that there are three different restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.

Took my 13 year old daughter to her first concert. I Had hoped to give her a memorable trip with a nice room , breakfast and swim. Staff was friendly, The room it’s self the Toilet would hardly flush, very little water pressure in the shower, pool has been down quite sometime after reading other reviews as well , body wash and shampoo empty in the shower. 1 of the 2 beds were dirty. only had cereal and juice for breakfast at 8:26 am . I’ve typically stay with Hilton but decided to try Marriott this tome. My mistake I should have known better a stuck with Hilton.

Arrived to a friendly desk person and was easily checked in. Soon found out the cable for TV was not working...for SEVERAL WEEKS!

Since the night before I stayed at the nearby Comfort Inn and all was great, was sadly disappointed. Asked several others who were staying at other nearby hotels and all had cable.

Understanding that cable does go out occasionally, cant understand how management would allow this to continue, literally for WEEKS. I also must say the maintenance and cleanliness was disappointing; not filthy but clearly lacking in daily upkeep. Also no daily housekeeping and no notice of that. Was I at a Fairfield? hmmmm.....

Overall, this was like being in a mediocre Motel 6, not a Marriott property. Clear that management simply doesn't care about return customers as I will never return.

Great location and the ONLY reason it gets two stars is the staff. We checked in (30 minutes early) and we're given a room on the 3rd floor. it was my wife and I and two kids (12 and 8) and the room was a king and a fold out couch. My reservation clearly stated two queens.....I went back downstairs (because the phone in the room didn't work) and they quickly and apologetically fixed the problem and we got two queens. The lady at the front who checked us in and fixed the problem was really great about it and she even made sure to put us in a room that was right next to where we were originally put, so that it wasn't a difficult task to move our stuff from one room to another. We were informed that \"the storm from 4 weeks ago\" knocked out the cable so we couldn't watch live TV but we could just log into our Netflix or Hulu etc and watch that. However, we were here for a baseball the tournament and there were players staying in hotels next to us who didn't have this problem. (And according to other reviews this is an ongoing problem). We didn't have a TV remote and when I got one from the front desk, it still wouldn't let us log into anything. Only thing the remote would do was adjust the volume and switch sources. No way to find/bring up and subscription service like Netflix or hulu. And also the pool was closed for maintenance (again, according to other reviews this has been a 3+ month issue) the elevator was a bit sketchy and the inspection was well past due.

Hotel staff were great when we arrived and checked out! Cheer the girls on for their dance competition.
The breakfast was normal hotel breakfast. Every thing was hot, the toaster needs a little upgrade didn’t work the best.

Here what I didn’t like. I was told 3 days before our arrival the pool was working when we arrived we was informed that it’s been closed for a while I had 3 disappointed kiddos. At check in we also was in formed the tvs weren’t working. The BIG thing that I hated was are deadbolt didn’t work and our door would barely latch shut. Which made things hard with a toddler thinking it’s a game to leave the room. This wasn’t in just our room it was at least 4 other rooms that we was in. Over all we loved the place just needed some room updates.

This place has lots of potential but it had a smell the moment I walked in. The front desk clerk looked drained and her energy matched that of the entire place. The one sliding front door was partly off track. A box with a large screen tv and a luggage cart was loaded with odds and ends parked right in front of the front desk( it was still there when we left and came back 40 minutes later). The pool had a sign that it needed maintenance. The room on the third floor had cobwebs in two corners( at least the rest of the room was clean). The actual room door seemed to be missing part of the doorframe and you could see right to the hallway. I also noticed the elevator inspection paper was from a year ago. Thankfully I was able to sleep.

Nice, clean hotel. The breakfast was yummy but by 7:30am there was no more sausage and the juice options were minimal. Also when I checked in I asked for a cot or something similar and I was told that this location didn’t have them. The next day when I was leaving the hospitality staff had a room next to the elevator open and I could see a cot in that room. I feel that for the money that I spent on this room that the front desk attendant should have tried a bit harder to accommodate us. Also, I wish I would have known that the pool was closed for repairs.

Easy to find right off the interstate. Check in was smooth. Our room was an example of a place needing reno'd. Furniture dinged up and worn, at least 10 noticable stains in the carpet. The chair in the corner had a rip on one arm. I expected better than this from a Marriott property. At this price, well north of $100 not impressed at all

The young lady who checked us in was very nice and helpful. The rooms were nice and loved the area it was in near a lot of eating places.
Negative was both rooms were kind of warm(one on 2nd floor and one on 3rd floor) and although the a/c was down to 60 degrees the rooms never cooled off. Also we went down to breakfast around 8:30 and they were out of most of the food, no syrup for the waffles and no forks available. I must say the biscuits and gravy were good. Not what I would expect from Fairfield by Marriot.

Counter staff was rude when I asked about adding a night to my stay. Got to the room to find it much lower than usual Fairfield levels. The ceiling was stained, the sheetrock had missing strips,the curtains had brown stains, and the room did not smell like it had been cleaned throughly in a while.

This property is probably the best choice for those attending events at the Gateway Convention Center. It is clean, safe and well maintained and the clientele seem well behaved. Unfortunately the nearby restaurants are mediocre at best.

The quality of the breakfast is not as good as other comparable hotels even within the same chain. The orange juice was the high point. The eggs and sausage were barely warm and there was no oatmeal. Coffee wasn't very good. When I saw the same situation on the second day I went to Waffle House and paid for a better breakfast.

Also, the pandemic is over and it's time to reinstate daily maid service, especially fresh towels and empty the wastebasket.

Satisfactory hotel. Stayed with my daughter for a dance convention across the street. This hotel can use some major updating. The carpet was stained and the furniture was VERY worn. The pool was not very clean. Our beds had clean sheets, the bathroom was clean and the fridge was cold. So it worked for our stay. The complimentary breakfast was a nice plus but it was not very good. The bananas were black and the eggs and sausage tasted like plastic. I have had many other stays with similar breakfasts offered that were by far better. I would not stay here again.

The hotel was a very good value. Breakfast was fine/typical (although it sounds like they are trying to add a couple new options to breakfast-mini quiche and egg soufflés), room was ok. It looks like they may have recently renovated a bit-carpet looked fresh and new. I was fine with the comfort of the bed, but my husband, not so much. He thought the bed was low and not enough support. The room was pretty clean. I thought the bathroom could’ve had a little more attention. Hard water stains in shower, dental floss left on a ledge in shower and exhaust fan needed a good cleaning/dusted. Though I find with lots of hotels/restaurants I visit, dirty fans stick out to me. All establishments need to do better at cleaning fans/exhaust units, etc…

A big shout out to all the staff we encountered! I’m sure these ladies make little money, but made the trip most enjoyable with their friendly smiles and small talk. Very pleasant gals we met at check in/out and during coffee/breakfast time!

Has some pros but wouldn’t stay there again

The location is excellent with a wonderfully caring person at the front desk. The hotel itself was a bit run down and seemed understaffed. The elevator was very slow and I waited at the front desk for about 20 minutes to purchase a bottle of water. My room was musty and after settling in noticed the carpet was wet in the area next to the bed. About 1/4 of the carpet was affected. It seemed as if it had been cleaned recently and not dried out yet.

I went to the desk and asked for another room. The clerk mentioned they had cleaned some of the carpets recently but she didn’t know what rooms. She gave me a new room that had the same issue. I decided to just deal with it.

There were many families at the hotel and kids enjoying the pool (not a problem). The floors in the hallway were wet and in the morning there were towels strewn about up and down the hallway outside the pool area, as well as slippery when wet signs.

The decor in the rooms seemed outdated.
